I purchased two sets of Vision Home aluminum LED mushroom garden lights. Set both sets up in the backyard and they worked perfectly…..until one set began flickering. I swapped the transformer with the other set and determined that it must be the transformer that needed replacing. By the time I found the receipt I was past the in store warranty and had to deal with the manufacturer.
The manufacturer of the transformer is a company called Dongguan Rico Electronic.,Ltd. I found and email address and made contact with them.
They advised me that they don’t believe their transformer is to blame (it clearly was because the set that wasn’t working properly worked perfectly when I swapped with the transformer from the set that was working).
And since that time, I cannot get them to respond. They are located in China, so I cannot simply shoot over there to get a replacement.
On top of this, Roma does not sell the replacement transformer that comes with the set, so I have to splice and strip wires to get these lights to work…oh, and at an additional $70.00 for the transformer that should be replaced as it has a 5 year manufacturer warranty.
Fall is here and I will be disconnecting the lights for the winter. I sincerely hope that someone will provide me with a viable option to get the replacement transformer that came with the original set. I shouldn’t have to file complaints to get a manufacturer to honour their warranty. As Rona (formerly Lowes) is the company that supplies the product, I hope that they will find a way to make this right.
Thank you
Desired outcome: Replace the non-functioning transformer with the same one that comes with the original set
