Only 2 cash registers open for a busy day
July 14, 2022 I got in line a 8pm to pay, I was only here for some shorts. It’s been 40 minutes and I’m barely halfway. The line became even longer now and I realize there’s only 2 registers open. I lot of people decided to leave the line after waiting like 20 minutes but the line still didn’t feel to get shorter or go any faster. I do not blame the cashiers what horrible management this place has. I would hate to ever work here and no wonder nobody want to work for these horrible places anymore.
Desired outcome: Management needs to step up and not let their employees be so overworked. This is horrible and inhumane to them.

I just moved to this area and visited Nogales store on Saturday and we waited in line for over 2 hours, the line wrapped around entire store with only two girls checking us out and the remainder of employees chatting and messing around. The Hispanics that live there said this is the way they always operate. The two girls at the register said this was "normal behavior" and it made them upset that only two employees worked the registers when there are 11 registers available. Need to change the manager! It was the worst Ross I have ever been in and I've shopped at a lot of them in Arizona and California.

I had an interview which I went to and got along well with the manager she offered .e a job and said wait for the background check however during my interview I said I had mental illness (PTSD) so after that she never sent me the background check after she offered me the job she discriminated against me because of my mental health problems... I called even several days after and she kept giving me the run around... I just left one of your stores after Waiting 30 min in line to return an item. Only to be told to wait in an alternate line with no teller. I then asked a floor worker why only one register was being used with 30+ people in line and was told only one person was scheduled to run the till tonight. I left very frustrated and disappointed.
Desired outcome: This store needs to hire more staff, at 7:30 on Monday there should be more than one person working when the store is full

At approximately 9:30 pm on Thursday May 12th I entered your Guilford Dr store in Frederick MD (next to Best Buy). I picked out 5-6 dresses needed for a formal Saturday event. I receny lost 25 lbs. so it was important that I try on the dresses. To my dismay the dressing rooms (both front and back) were closed for the evening. I requested to speak to the manager because the employee said she had no way of opening the dressing room. I asked the manager if there was any way I could try on the dresses. She stayed that the dressing rooms were closed. I then asked what time the store closed. She had an attitude and replied that they close at 11pm BUT the dressing rooms were CLOSED. At this time it was 9:50pm. I stated "Here you go" and put the 5-6 dresses on the glass jewelry countertop. I turned and exited. It sounded like one or all of the dresses may have slid off the glass counter to which the manager quickly blurted "I hope I never see you again in this store". As I exited the store (back turned), I stated "You probably will"; to which she responded "You will have a problem with me". I did not intend to have a strong and rude reaction to a simple question, nor did I intend for the dresses to fall off the glass countertop; and finally I did not intend to be threatened by your store manager. May 12,22 1:42 pm, I spoke to the manager at this store to voice my complaint about the really bad customer service, he told me if I am going to file the complaint he will not deal with this issue until he gets a message from Corporate, This might be the reason for the bad service, i was waiting in line to be rung up, it was my turn the lines were criss crossing, the clerk looked at me like she didn't want to ring me up, I said it was my turn, others customers even had to chime in, she then says is this a return, because i am in the return line, the other cashier was in the middle of a return, I just didn't get it, she stuck my receipt in the bag with out a word and turned away, can't imagine what she thought I had done wrong, this is the second time I have been in a Ross store in Arizona and the second time i have received really bad customer service, I will no longer shop at Ross's my money is hard earned, there are a lot of other places to shop that don't make you feel as though they are really doing you a big favor.

I bought a few things that i thought would fit me, turned out they were too small so when i came back to return them the same cashier that rang me up the first time now whispered something to another worker lady and then screams at me telling me i shouldn't have bought them in the first place. I told her i could by whatever i wanted a thousand times as long as i have the receipt she needs to keep her opinions inside her mouth.

OK so I’m going to try to be as specific as possible and insert the details that I remember so bear with me but today I went to Ross it was probably like an hour and a half before they closed I originally had came in there to return like three or four tank top shirts and I basically wanted to exchange them for a pair of jeans
as I was shopping in the make up and picking out the stuff that I wanted to get I realized that it was probably going to be more than the return with just the makeup alone that I wanted so I quickly searched for my receipt to also see what cash I would have and see what the total refund would be. I have quickly realized that I had brought my new wallet and that the only thing that I had left in my old wallet was of course my receipts so knowing that I was not going to be able to exchange my shirts for the jeans because of their policy I’m quite familiar with it because I shopped there all the time I decided to just go ahead and buy the stuff that I wanted and if for some reason those didn’t work out or something I could bring everything back at once, once I got the receipts from my other wallet.
After waiting in a really long line and witnessing probably three loss prevention employees and a manager (KARINA, who is so out of her line and rude, although I know you want to catch people who are actually stealing you still have to follow the law. And just because you catch one person does not make every other person that you encounter guilty!) deal with a customer who was in fact trying to walk out with a laundry basket, after that happened they all were floating and calling the customer really derogatory names and like doing everything but lifting her up on their shoulders, it was really weird and off to even witness because since when do retail employees act like that? all while I was vegan having issues, I bank with Wells Fargo and a lot of the time if I make too many purchases in a day or a weird amount on a purchase they will like freeze my card essentially and have me call and verify however many transactions and then they will just unfreeze it that instant so it was taking me a second to do that because when they make you listen to 10 transactions it can tend to take a little bit, so while I’m finishing that up. Already feeling anxious and awkward and honestly embarrassed, the manager manager comes over to me and while I’m on the phone starts talking to me, and like poking in my personal purse which had the Ross bag from my PREVIOUS PURCHASE with the shirts inside in it, trying to ask who is helping me telling me I need to take everything out of my bag telling me I can’t buy the items I’m already trying to buy and I need to pay for my other stuff again which she is not removing stuff from my purse now because I had my hand on my phone and was talking to the bank and didn’t want them to hang up and start over. She demands that I show her my previous receipt for everything she’s stolen out of my bag and when I try to explain ti her that the only reason it was in my bag was because I realized I didn’t have my receipt and wouldn’t be able to return them, she just gets louder and meaner and saying that I’ll have to repay for them again so I tell her that I can show her my purchase on my banking app that will say Ross and the store were ins store number and the amount would match how much the shirts would be if she scanned them, to which she said no that won’t work and then try’s to take the bag of stuff I had just pay for and say I could take none of my items then, hat she had literally physically taken out of my bag and continue to grab in my bag stuff it wasn’t even from Ross or like even from the store was only my personal items and proceeded to call me a liar tell me that I was wrong she stood in front of me when I tried to leave the store she tried to confiscate my already paid items so since I started to feel like they were robbing me all on just being on the high from catching some unrelated person before me I started to record what was happening which she then she literally ducked behind the like register like a little child and refused to come out and just threw only the bag I had just bought out and I’ve been trying to get a hold of Ross customer service because I don’t believe that she will hold my items or give me my items back to me when I bring the receipt and I feel if I bring the receipt it’s gonna look really dumb because if she doesn’t see the items what is a receipt going to get me I can’t just get new items with a receipt that’s not how it works and I’m really mad about this and I just like want something to happen because I feel like she treated me really really really unfairly
Desired outcome: I would like her to be wrote up and my items to be returned to me

We just visited the Ross store in Mesquite Texas 19113 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy. I live in Mesquite and this location is very unorganized and poor customer service. Our cashier La Taja was on a personal call on her earbuds the whole time she was checking us out, the Manager Erica was doing absolutely nothing. There was lines all the way to the back of store and I saw at least 6 workers but only 3 cash registers opened. As I went back to fitting room Erica the Manager said the fitting room was closed for about an hour because there wasn’t enough staff and she was going to lunch, then she headed to front and not even assisting cashiers on getting customer lines down. I would like to know this had been addressed because this is very poor customer service and very unorganized and I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. The customer service here is the WORST ever.
I don’t wanna waste my time to write an essay for a place that doesn’t deserve to be, but this is so unacceptable. I wish I could break the lamp after I paid and dumped it in the trash can. Don’t even blame that the customer did not speak English well. There are many ways to help them when their English is not that fluent. Who do you think you are? Just saying ‘Yes/No’ and keeping that ‘’frowning’’ face is unacceptable. Never ever come back, bye!
