My name is Pablo Luis Gutierrez Iglesias and I am writing to you as a concerned member of the Royal Holiday Vacation Club to express my deep discontent regarding the unethical and misleading practices we have experienced. This is the second time that I have attempted to contact you. The first time was unsuccessful as we never received any replies from you or any other executive.
It has come to our attention that a substantial number of sales within the Royal Holiday Club are conducted using high-pressure sales tactics, leaving many members feeling deceived and scammed. This pervasive issue has led to a prevailing sentiment among the membership that they are being lied to and manipulated. Sadly, our personal experience aligns with these concerns, prompting us to bring this matter to your attention, especially when the sales agent involved in the transaction claims that she does not recall any of the sell pitches that she used so masterfully( the "over 500 locations around the World and significant airfare discounts" that we could benefit from by being members of the Club) and ultimately, that she no longer worked for the Organization that you represent when we reached out to her.
During our attempt to utilize the benefits of our membership, we found ourselves subjected to an exceptionally lengthy waiting time and unhelpful, nasty customer service Reps. This unsettling experience has left us questioning the integrity of the sales tactics employed by the Royal Holiday Club.
Furthermore, in early October 2023, we attempted to book a trip using vouchers for "free" flights and 0-point accommodations. To our surprise, we were asked to make an upfront payment for flights with the promise of a refund.
Given these circumstances, we believe it is essential to highlight the gravity of the situation. The high-pressure sales tactics, misrepresentations, and lack of accountability within the Royal Holiday Club have not only tarnished our perception but have raised serious ethical and legal concerns.
In light of these issues, we are formally requesting the cancellation of our membership. We believe this step is necessary due to the unethical and, in some instances, illegal tactics used by certain sales agents. We also emphasize the lack of accountability demonstrated by various individuals involved in our interactions with the club.
We trust that you will thoroughly investigate these matters and take appropriate actions to rectify the situation. We are hopeful that our concerns will be addressed promptly to restore trust in the Royal Holiday Vacation Club.
