Mixed Results with RPI Replacement Parts for Kitchen Appliance
The replacement parts from RPI (replacementparts.com) seemed to be everything I needed for my kitchen appliance, until I tried to install it. The lower peg that pops it into place has a new base that raises it basket up about 3/16" from where it should be and didn't allow for the basket to snap close. Also, the upper ring of the basket has a much thicker piece on the molding that locks the basket into place, your replacement is missing this. I was able to file the added material on the lower base to make the basket fit correctly into the holes, but the basket will only stay in place if I put a bungee cord around the entire pot. It'll probably work, but definitely not what I was expecting.
I was disappointed that the replacement part did not fit perfectly, but I was able to make it work with some adjustments. It looks great, but sadly not a direct replacement. If you'd like a picture or two to completely understand what I'm talking about, please feel free to contact me. I'll have to take them.
