Unprofessional Sales Manager and Poor Vehicle Quality at SBT Japan
I recently had a conversation with a sales manager named Mr. Praveen at sbtjapan.com. I expressed to him that I was still undecided about purchasing a used vehicle from their website. However, Mr. Praveen was very persistent in trying to convince me to make a decision right away. I found his behavior to be quite unprofessional and rude. It was disappointing to see that SBT Japan would hire someone who would treat their customers in such a disrespectful manner.
Furthermore, I have noticed that some of the vehicles listed on their website are not in the best condition. Some have visible scratches and dents on the exterior, while others have dirty interiors. I have also seen a few with rusty undercarriages. These issues make me hesitant to purchase a vehicle from SBT Japan.
Overall, my experience with SBT Japan has not been the best. I hope that they can improve their customer service and the quality of their vehicles in the future.
SBT and their Mombasa dealers: Untrustworthy and Frustrating Experience
SBT is a company that sells vehicles online. They have some dealers in Mombasa who are not very trustworthy. If you buy a vehicle from SBT, they will take your money and ship the vehicle after 3 months. But when the ship is almost arriving, they change the consignee details and transfer the vehicle to their accomplices in Mombasa. This can be very frustrating for customers who are waiting for their vehicles to arrive.
If you try to get a refund, SBT will penalize you 50% of the money you paid. This is not fair to customers who have already waited for months for their vehicles to arrive. It is important to be careful when dealing with SBT and their dealers in Mombasa.
Overall, it is best to avoid doing business with SBT and their dealers in Mombasa. There are many other companies that sell vehicles online and are more trustworthy. It is important to do your research and choose a company that has a good reputation and is known for providing good customer service.
Disappointing Experience with SBT: Poor Customer Service and Unfulfilled Promises
I just wanted to add a little more to my previous review about SBT. I have to say, I am extremely disappointed with their services. They have made promises to refund my funds and help with repair invoices, but they have yet to follow through. It's been a frustrating experience dealing with them, and I feel like they are just taking advantage of their customers.
One thing that really bothers me is that they keep emailing me even though I have asked them to remove me from their email lists. It's like they don't even care about my preferences or respect my wishes. It's just another example of their poor customer service.
I also want to warn others about one of their salesmen, Salik Ahsan Khan. He is the best con man I have ever encountered. He will tell you anything you want to hear just to make a sale, but once you have paid, he disappears and doesn't follow through on his promises. It's really disappointing to see someone in a position of trust take advantage of others like that.
Overall, I would not recommend SBT to anyone looking to buy a car from Japan. There are plenty of other companies out there that are more reliable and trustworthy. Don't waste your time and money with SBT.
Mixed Experience with SBT: Good Managers, Poor Communication and Service
I started using SBT in January 2018 and I've had to switch managers three times. The first two were alright, they got things done on time and their service was good. However, my current account manager is not up to par. They make empty promises, lie to me, and neglect my needs. I'm currently waiting for my documents and they keep telling me they're on the way, but they won't give me the tracking ID. It's frustrating and disappointing.
Overall, my experience with SBT has been mixed. While the first two managers were good, my current one is not. I've had issues with communication and getting things done on time. It's not the level of service I expected from a company like SBT. I hope they can improve their service and make things right for their customers.
Terrible Experience with SBT: False Specifications, Water Damage, and Poor Customer Service
I am extremely disappointed with my recent purchase from SBT. I spent a whopping $70,000 on a 2019 Landcruiser with high specifications, but what I received was a 2018 Landcruiser with lower specifications. I was really looking forward to driving my new car, but when I checked the VIN on an Australian government database, I found out that the vehicle was written off in January 2019 due to a beach accident where it drowned in salt water.
The vehicle that was delivered to me had clear evidence of salt water submersion and many electrical problems. The airbag sensors were faulty and had been bypassed to ensure that the warning light stays off. This is a major safety concern, and I am extremely disappointed that SBT would send me a car with such serious issues.
To make matters worse, SBT has been terrible in discussing my issues. They only send automated responses, and I have not been able to get any real help from them. This is the worst service I have ever experienced, and I would not recommend SBT to anyone.
If you are considering buying a car from SBT, please beware. They may send you a car with serious issues, and their customer service is terrible. I regret buying from them, and I hope that others can learn from my mistake.
Disappointing Experience with SBT Japan: Rust, ABS Error, and Bad Transmission
I recently purchased two cars from SBT Japan, and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. The first car, Stock ID DP5745, had a significant amount of rust around the engine and underneath the car. It was quite disappointing to see this, as I was hoping for a car in better condition. The second car, a mini van with the Stock ID US9055, had an ABS error and broken front stabilizer links. Additionally, the engine oil was extremely dirty, which made me think that it had never been serviced before. I took the car to an auto shop for diagnostics, and they found that the transmission was bad. I was only able to use the mini van for two weeks before it became undrivable.
When I contacted SBT Japan to file a complaint, I was told that I could only do so within the first seven days of receiving the car. Unfortunately, I did not drive the car right away upon arrival, so I was not able to file a complaint in time. This was very frustrating, and I felt like I had wasted a lot of money. The mini van alone will cost around $3500 to fix the transmission and transmission control module, which is a significant expense.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from SBT Japan. It was not helpful or accommodating, and I felt like I was left to deal with the consequences of my purchase on my own. I will not be buying from SBT again in the future, as I do not want to risk having another negative experience like this one.
Disappointing Experience with Sbt Japan: Faded Paint, Rust, and Poor Customer Service
I bought a car from Sbt japan earlier this year. I was really excited to get my hands on a Honda Fit, and the website made it look like everything was going to be perfect. But when I finally got the car, it was a total shock. There were so many problems with it that I couldn't believe it. I tried to get in touch with Sbt japan to get a refund, but they haven't responded to me at all.
The car I got had faded paint and rust on the body. The right side mirror wasn't working properly, and the car was really dirty. It looked like it had been used to transport animals or something. There were even parts falling off the engine area, and the paint was peeling off. It was nothing like the photos on the website.
I talked to my account manager, Nadia Hammed, but she wasn't able to help me at all. She just sent me a form to fill out, which I did, but I haven't heard anything back from them in four months. I even tried to talk to her manager, Haris, but he didn't do anything either. All I wanted was a partial refund so that I could fix the car myself.
If you're thinking about buying a car from Sbt japan, I would definitely think twice. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. If you do decide to buy from them, make sure you check the car thoroughly before you buy it. And don't expect them to help you if anything goes wrong. It's really disappointing to spend so much money on a car and then have it turn out like this. If you need to get in touch with them, they sent me their contact on WhatsApp: ***840.
SBT: A Dishonest Company Selling Damaged Cars - Stay Away!
This company is a total scam! I would not recommend them to anyone! They advertise cars that have been in accidents and have been given a low rating by auction inspectors, but they don't tell you this upfront. They refuse to give you any information about the car before you buy it, which is very dishonest.
I gave them a deposit and they refused to refund it or let me choose a different car. They basically told me to go screw myself! Now I'm stuck with a car that I don't feel comfortable with and it will be hard to sell because of the damage. I had to pay other companies to get the auction sheet report, which is something that SBT should have provided me with.
Unlike other companies that are trustworthy, SBT doesn't have any contracts that you sign with them. All they do is send you invoices and expect you to pay. This is very unethical and shows a total lack of integrity.
I would advise anyone looking to buy a car to stay away from SBT. They are not to be trusted and will take your money without giving you any information about the car you are buying. Don't make the same mistake I did!
Disappointing Experience with SBT Japan: Delayed Shipment and Poor Customer Service
I sent some money over to SBT Japan on July 15th to purchase a vehicle. The salesman, Muhammad Saad, kept trying to convince me to change my mind about the car I wanted, but I stuck to my guns and kept my original selection. However, last week on Tuesday (October 1, 2019), I received a call from a local shipping agent who told me that there was a mistake with my shipment. Apparently, the car was being sent to the wrong port - it was supposed to go to Nassau, Bahamas, but instead it was headed to Freeport, Grand Bahama. I was pretty upset about this, so I immediately reached out to Muhammad Saad to see if he could help me fix the problem.
Unfortunately, it took several days for him to get back to me. I tried calling and messaging him multiple times, but he didn't respond until Thursday. He told me that he had a broker who could clear the vehicle through customs in Freeport and then ship it to Nassau at no extra cost to me. I was relieved to hear this, but now it's Monday (October 7, 2019) and I still haven't heard anything back from Saad about the broker's contact information. I'm starting to get worried because my car is still sitting on the vessel at the port in Freeport, and I have no idea what's going on.
Honestly, I'm pretty frustrated with the whole situation. I'm not sure what to do next, but I'm thinking about contacting my attorney to see if there's anything I can do to get my car back. I would definitely advise anyone who's thinking about using SBT Japan to think twice before doing so. It's been a real headache dealing with them, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same thing.
SBT: A Company of Scammers and Thieves - Stay Away!
I bought a car from SBT in late November and it was an auction. To participate in the auction, I had to pay a deposit. My Account Manager told me that my deposit was fully refundable, but it turned out that it wasn't. They refused to wire back my deposit money, even though I emailed them my bank details multiple times. It's the same account that I paid the deposit from, but they keep refusing to refund it. They keep inventing new rules and problems every week. They're now trying to blackmail me into signing a document that says I'll accept whatever they wire me back, even if it's only ?1.
But that's not all. I bought the car in November 2022, but it only arrived in May 2023. They canceled the initial shipping date and invoiced me for the extra storage. When the car finally arrived, I was informed by Customs that I had to pay ?2K for shipping, even though I had already paid SBT extra for shipping. They blatantly stole my shipping money. Their Manager told me straight up that they could do whatever they wanted. At this point, they owe me around ?3K.
And that's still not all. I bought a grade 4 car with only a small scratch on the side, but the car that arrived was damaged. A green duck tape holds the trunk together, as you can see in the picture taken in the Customs carpark. The car is not what the description says. The whole back of the car is pulled out inside.
This company cheats and steals clients' money. The management must be fully aware of it because Trust Pilot, Google, and other websites openly discuss these scammers. I strongly advise you to stay away from SBT.
Disappointing Experience with SBT's Representative, Mr. Abid Karim: A Review
I recently had an experience with SBT (sbtjapan.com) that left me feeling quite disappointed. I had a conversation with one of their representatives, Mr. Abid Karim, on August 22, 2017, via WhatsApp. I expressed my desire to switch my account to a local representative in my country, Antigua. However, Mr. Karim did not respond to my request and instead called me via WhatsApp at 4:10 pm. Our conversation lasted for two minutes and twenty-seven seconds (2:27).
At the start of our conversation, Mr. Karim greeted me politely, but things quickly went downhill from there. He asked me why I wanted to switch my account, and I explained that I preferred dealing with a representative from within my country because it was easier. Mr. Karim then proceeded to tell me that he had been with the company for five years and that he was a manager with extensive knowledge of what customers want. He also claimed that the sales representative in my country had tricked me into doing business with her and insisted that I admit it.
I was taken aback by Mr. Karim's accusations and asked him to switch my account to a local representative. However, he refused and said that he would contact his boss because the representative in my country knew nothing about cars and was only a sales representative. He also claimed that he knew more than her.
It was clear to me that Mr. Karim was throwing a tantrum because the representative in my country had already been assigned to assist me. She had explained to me that SBT has a policy that once an agent is assigned to a customer, no other agent can assist them. Therefore, there was no trickery involved, as Mr. Karim had suggested.
As a customer, I was looking forward to doing business with SBT, but this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I appreciated the pleasant and knowledgeable attitude of the representative in my country, which is why I chose to do business with her. I believe that it is always better to associate with locals when conducting business abroad because there are no language barriers, and it is easier to understand what the customer wants.
To make matters worse, prior to this incident, Mr. Karim had sent me a vehicle via email with Stock ID: XR8767, which he thought was similar to Stock ID: TK3054. However, the car he sent me had a hole that could house rats, bugs, spiders, and other rodents. If Mr. Karim truly had a good understanding of what customers want, he would not have sent me such a car.
Overall, I found Mr. Karim's attitude to be horrendous, and I believe that SBT should reevaluate their hiring process. If they continue to hire representatives like Mr. Karim, they will not get any business at all. Instead of being critical of the work of the representative in my country, Mr. Karim should book a flight to Antigua and learn how to provide exceptional quality customer service from the local representatives there. It is clear that he knows nothing about dealing with customers.
In conclusion, I hope that SBT takes this complaint seriously and reevaluates their customer service skills. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, and I did not receive that from Mr. Karim.

Buyer Beware: My Experience with SBT's Car Purchase and Hidden Damage
I went on SBT's website to buy a car and the pictures on the site didn't really show the damage on the car I ended up getting. It was pretty banged up when it arrived and I wasn't too happy about it. I sent them an email to let them know, but I haven't heard back from them yet. So, if you're thinking about buying from SBT, just be careful and make sure you know what you're getting into.
Satisfactory Car, Unsatisfactory Service: My Experience with SBT Japan
I must say, my experience with SBT (sbtjapan.com) has been less than satisfactory. I purchased a car from them a few years back, and ever since then, I've been getting a ton of emails and phone calls that I didn't ask for. It's really annoying, especially when they call at weird times. I've tried to tell them to stop, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend SBT to anyone. The car I got from them was fine, but the constant spamming is just not worth it. If you're looking for a car, there are plenty of other companies out there that won't harass you like this.

Disappointed with SBTJapan: False Inspection Report and Refusal to Refund for Damaged Nissan Serena
I bought a Nissan Serena from SBTJapan for delivery to the Bahamas. The inspection report said it was in perfect condition, but when it arrived, it was full of dents. I was really disappointed and upset. I contacted SBTJapan to ask for a refund for the cost of repairs, but they refused to help me. I feel like they were not honest with me about the condition of the car. I would caution anyone thinking about buying from SBTJapan to be careful and make sure you get a thorough inspection before making a purchase. It's really frustrating to spend so much money on a car and then have it arrive in such bad shape. I hope that SBTJapan will take responsibility for their mistake and make things right for me.
Great Selection, Reasonable Prices, and Excellent Customer Service: My Experience with SBT
I was so mad at SBT for selling me a car with a bad clutch. But then, I contacted their customer service and they were able to help me out. They refunded me the cost of the clutch repair and even offered to pay for the labor. I was impressed with their customer service and how they handled the situation.
Aside from that, I have to say that SBT has a great selection of cars. They have a wide variety of brands and models to choose from. I was able to find the car that I wanted at a reasonable price. The website is easy to navigate and the search filters are very helpful.
The process of purchasing a car from SBT was also very easy. The account manager was very helpful and answered all of my questions. They even helped me with the paperwork and shipping. The car arrived in good condition and I was very happy with my purchase.
Overall, I would recommend SBT to anyone looking to purchase a car. They have a great selection, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service. Just make sure to double-check the condition of the car before purchasing to avoid any surprises.
SBT's Advertised Mileage Inaccurate: Buyer Beware
as they may not be entirely truthful.
I recently bought a car from SBT and was disappointed to find out that the mileage advertised was not accurate. The website stated that the car had *** miles, but when I received the road worthy certificate, it showed that the actual mileage was *** miles. This was quite frustrating as I had based my decision to purchase the car on the advertised mileage.
I tried to contact SBT for clarification and assistance, but unfortunately, they were not very helpful. They did not provide any explanation or solution to the issue. This made me feel like they were not being honest about the condition of the car.
Overall, I would advise potential buyers to be cautious when dealing with SBT. While they have a wide selection of vehicles, it is important to do your own research and not solely rely on their advertising. Make sure to thoroughly inspect the car and ask for all necessary documents before making a purchase.
Disappointing Experience with SBT: Broken Fan Controller, Delayed Delivery, and Unethical Practices
I recently purchased a car from SBT (sbtjapan.com) and unfortunately, I had a few issues with my experience. Firstly, when I received the car, I noticed that the fan controller was broken. I reached out to SBT about this issue, but they did not take responsibility for it. This was quite disappointing as I expected better customer service from them.
Secondly, I was promised that my car would be delivered within 8 weeks, but it ended up taking almost 15 weeks. This was a huge inconvenience for me as I had planned my schedule around the expected delivery date. I was quite frustrated with the delay and the lack of communication from SBT regarding the delay.
Lastly, I have heard rumors that the sales reps at SBT make deals with unscrupulous dealers and clearance agents to hike the port fees so as to get a cut for themselves. This is quite concerning as it suggests that SBT may not be operating ethically. I hope that they take steps to address this issue and ensure that their sales reps are not engaging in any unethical practices.
Overall, my experience with SBT was not great. While I appreciate the convenience of purchasing a car online, I expected better customer service and communication from them. I hope that they take steps to improve their processes and address the issues that I have raised.
Disappointing Service and Misleading Advertising: My Experience with SBT Japan
I recently made a purchase from SBT Japan and I must say, I was quite disappointed with the service I received. I had my heart set on a Landcruiser and after browsing their website, I found the perfect one. I was excited to receive my new vehicle and eagerly awaited its arrival.
However, when it finally arrived, I was shocked to find that it was not the same car that I had seen on their website. The seats were wrapped in rubber and the overall condition of the vehicle was not what I had expected. I immediately demanded to see pictures of the shipment and it was then that I realized that I had been sent a completely different car.
I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from SBT Japan. I felt like I had been ripped off and that my hard-earned money had been wasted. I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking to purchase a car.
If you are in the market for a new vehicle, I would suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other companies out there that offer better service and more reliable vehicles. Don't make the same mistake that I did and trust SBT Japan with your hard-earned cash.
Nightmare Experience with SBT: Waiting 3 Months for Refund with No Progress
I recently had an experience with SBT (sbtjapan.com) and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I have been waiting for my refund for over three months now and it seems like I am getting nowhere. The people I have been dealing with, Mohammed and Ahsan, keep giving me excuses every time I call to inquire about my refund. They keep asking for more and more documents, which I have provided, but still no refund.
It's frustrating because I really need that money and I feel like I am being taken for a ride. Every time I call, it's a different excuse and I am tired of it. I have even threatened to get the government involved if I don't get my refund soon.
Overall, my experience with SBT has been a nightmare. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to do business with, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with SBT for Car Imports to NZ
I gotta say, I work at a big car dealership in NZ and we bring in around 150 cars every month. We were thinking about trying out SBT to see if we could get even more cars in, but man am I glad we only got two to test the waters. Both of those cars were way off in terms of what we were quoted and they need a ton of work to get up to NZ standards. We're talking over $1500 per car just to get them where they need to be. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend SBT if you're looking to import cars into NZ.
SBT Review: Misleading Descriptions, Poor Customer Service, and Delayed Delivery
I've bought a bunch of cars from SBT and let me tell you, the descriptions they give you are way off. Two of the cars I got had engines that were totally blown and one had a gearbox that was shot. I tried to get some help from them but they didn't even respond to my messages. And get this, I had to wait like 5 or 6 months for the cars to even arrive after I paid for them! And to top it all off, they charged me for storage in Japan and wouldn't give me my cars until I paid up. I wouldn't recommend SBT to anyone, stay away from them if you can.
