You guys got away cheap. Th Seattle Coffee Direct $79.00 a pop with no merchandise. I called and left messages with no call backs. Have resorted to cancelling my credit card. I've already send an email requesting a refund for the charges for merchandise not received. What a bunck of bull mess.

i had signed up for something over 2 years ago with this company and then canceled right after the coffee came in the mail and they wanted a crazy amount of money for it. now 2 years later i find out this place charged my card $79 without telling me or even sending me a receipt or product. i had no idea until i started getting insufficiate fund fees in the mail. so i called seattle coffee direct and the first time someone answered and told me i'd be contacted my a manager that day about refunding my money. no one ever called back. i called all the next day got no answer. then the next day i got ahold of a man who told me that the reason a manager wont call me back is cause they are going out of business and they were doing this to alot of people just to get extra money. so now my account is negative $300 and i can't get it refunded. i did have to call the police to file fraud charges. so if this has happened to anyone else please do the same. and if you have ever been a member of this company my advice would be to cancel your card asap.

I closed my account with them over 6 months ago. Recently, I got two packages of two bags of coffee and two travel mugs, unrequested for 79 dollars! It's a ridiculous amount for coffee! I've been trying to contact them several times without being able to talk to any representative. All the messages I've left have not been returned either! They're a total scam. Good coffee, but they'll bite you at the end BIG TIME!

Seattle coffee direct removed illegally $79.00 from my checking account on 12-1 -09 They had my debt card # from a transaction in Aug of 09 at that time I told them I was done doing business with there company they agreed to remove me from their list. I even called a week later to make sure and was told I was not on their list. Then I received a package from them on the 9th oh dec and called my bank and was told they removed $79.00 from my account. I only live on SSDI and now have no money to buy Christmas & pay bills. I may even bounce checks due to this removal of my money. Please help me as they wont talk to me .

To whom it may concern:
I ordered a sample of coffee with free mug back in Sept. 2009. Then before my waiting period was up i called and cancelled any future shipments. when I had received my bank statement they had withdrawn $39.7 0 from my account. then I called again and they told me I would get my refund by Nov 26th, 2009. I got a call from the bank and those same people had withdrawn another $79-00 from my account. this is all on top of the original 2.95 or 4.95 they took to start with. Now my account has been charged a total of $146.70 That includes one over draft charge this company has cost me. So I filed a return paperwork with the bank. Which is now going to cost me $12-50 for them to try and recover my funds. I would like to know why they take money in five minutes and when it gets returned. It takes 4-6 weeks according to Amanda. I still have not received my first refund I was due. Now I have to wait even longer on them both. what is the problem? Please help me get my refund in a timely fashion. The same way you all received my money. I got one package from Seattle Coffee Direct on on 12/15/09 I promply placed back into the mailbox and returned it . I ordered from this company months ago. I called and cancelled my account. I received coffee in the mail and an unauthorized charge. When I called, I heard a tape and have left 2 messages. No return calls. Why are these people still in business?

just want to let people know this business wil be shutting down as of dec 31, 2009.if you r trying to get refund, u should cancel ur cc or dispute charges at ur bank. otherwise you wil not get your refund. just a friendly tip.

I have been contacting this company since sept for 79.90 in refunds owed I have been promised this refund for over 3 months now every time I call I get the same story need to talk to a supervisor have done this 4 times now even talked to bank of america who refunded the money then took it back out still owed refund this place is a scam. I can kiss the money goodbuy never to order anything on line again this company gives Seattle best a bad name. Joy

I was charged 78.00 dollars on 27 nov.09 and dec.4 09 and didnt even order nothing for a total of 158.00.when I finaly talk to a rep.at [protected] he told me basicly it was a scam and would never see my money, how in hell do people get away with this #hit.would someone please help me nail these sorry s.o.b.s, i want my money back and those @ssholes in jail.

I cancelled all future shipments in August. On my December credit card statement it showed where they hit my card for $79.00 twice in November and I never received anything from them nor did I order anything from them. I disputed this with my credit card company and have tried several times to call Seattle Coffee Direct to see why they charged my card but of course, I can't get anybody to answer the phone.

In December right before Christmas, I received two unauthorized shipments of coffee from seattle coffee direct. I called the number on the package several times and was asked to leave a message. This company is a scam and the Food network has them on their website. Their billing for the coffee is unhbelievable. I believe they charged me 79.00 I am at my wits end to try to get a refund for this coffee that I never ordered. What a scam. I am reporting them to the attorney general and and to the better business bureau in my state to see if any action can be taken against this disgraceful company and their unlawful business practices.

I encourage everyone to complain to the Better Business Bureau and anyone else you can think of against these weasels! Also, if they have billed your credit card a significant amount, by all means, file suit against them. That's what I'm doing after being billed $277.00 that I didn't authorize! We have to stop these scam artists!

i fell for the okeydoke also their online offer for two bags of tea 2.00 trial two mugs then was charged twice more with two other purchases i never authourized 76.00 worth of nothing still have not recieved refund sent product back and have been getting the run around since oct 2009 they really should not be allowed to getaway with scamming people especially disabled individuals who are on fixed incomes such as myself i need my money and i will not stop calling them until i get my refunds plus the the overdrafts i was charged 35.00 twice that was another 70.00dollars i never got back im going to call the bbb in my state to let them know about the crimes being committed on the internet by these people.it is now january 5th 2010 have not recieved my refund or a callback from these people. called them today put on hold then hungup on by them i will never buy anything from them again and i will tell all my family and friends not to buy from them online or off i am truly upset that this has been going on for quite sometime and nothings being done to stop these online theives. pissed off in maryland.

I ordered from seattlecoffeedirect and recieved multiple shipments totaling$272.65 I have called repeatedly and have been given dates as to when the monies will be deposited, then that date would pass and I would call again and again, I just got off the phone1/6/2010, Again they tell me it will be depsited in a few days or it will come in the form of a check! I am Trying to get through to the BBB right now

I as well orderd coffee from this "company." After cancelling over a year ago I saw two $79.00 charges to my account. I gave this company 1 month to refund my money. I called everyother day for a month and just talked to rude employees every time. I decided to call my bank asap to get this taken care of. Luckly enough for me it was taken care of in two days. however it seems that this company maybe going under, people might not be so lucky. Stop calling their numbers, and call your bank. I am afraid that if people wait to long this company will no longer be open, and they have then taken all of your money. All in all, do NOT go ad's like this on facebook. I was dumb enough to fall for it.

charges on 11/12/2009 and 12/01/2010 of $79.00 each on my mastercard. I have not ordered or received anything from this company. I have contacted my credit card company and have not gotten results. These 2 charges should be removed from my card and no more allowed to be added on from this company

I am filing fraudulent charges with my financial institution now. I have had it. No one has answered my calls, returned my calls and I work for the Department of Justice.
So the fraud department will deal with this.

Fed up with scams ! My Credit card is fixed so that if you try to charge me, they will nail your ###!

I agree. I too was scammed. I cancelled my account as soon as I received the initial trial offer but clearly the person on the phone didn't cancel my account. So I was charged $38.90 without my authorization. I sent the package back unopened through UPS and it is 3 months later and I still haven't been refunded. Now when you call the [protected] number you just get directed to leave a message. yeah, they're really going to call back! I left 3 messages and still haven't received a call back. I am trying to file a complaint through my bank. Total scam!

I to have been taken by this company. Charge of $79.00 on by checkcard in November 09 which was unauthorized and caused $105.00 in overdraft charges. My bank reversed all charges pending resolution of claim.
Check out their website. They are no longer taking orders by phone or customer service by phone. Have followed all directions they give and am forwarding to my bank.

So I'm on Mafia Wars, through Facebook and to get rewards points I sign up for the no risk 5 for 5 'special'. Yep, it's 5 for $ 5.00 each for a total charge of $ 25.00. My fault for not reading the fine print. But I call and cancel the same day I get the $ 25.00 charge. 2 days later for 39.70 I get sent 2 paks of coffee. I call them and tell them I cancelled so they tell me they will issue a refund. 10 days later ANOTHER 39.70 package arrives. I sent them both back via UPS and call to request 2 refunds now. NO ACTION TAKEN. I then get a $ 79.00 dollar charge, that is when I cancelled my card, filed fraud charges with Wells Fargo and called again to complain, this time is was only a recording, BAD NEWS with these guys... I have had contact with Jeff Berman, his direct e-mail is: jberman@seattlecoffeedirect.com but apparently they've gone back under the rug. A visit to their website, www.seattlecoffeedirect.com now says, "www.seattlecoffeedirect.com is no longer accepting orders at this time and is no longer maintaining customer service via phone. Seattle coffee charged my account in Nov 2009 And Dec 2009 the amount of $79.00 each month ( Total $158.00 ) I called the the number [protected] and talked to someone in customer service and explained the point that I have not ordered anything and had been charged these amounts. They indicated to me that their computer had problems and charged my account. They also told me that they would refund my account the money taken within 30 days.
I also had been given a confirmation number ( 343189 ) To date I have not received the repayment . Todays date is 01-18-2010. I went to their web site and had been directed to reund@peel.com

I had all of the above happen to me.They owe me $155.80. I was told on 8/24/09 that it would take 30-60 days to process all credits. After never getting that credit, I called again on 11/2/09 and was told it would be another 10-14 days. At that point I had had enough.

At the end of December I called my credit card to dispute the charges, something I had never had to do before but have now learned a valuable lesson about! I just got a letter today after providing them with lots of info, including Proof of Delivery for the coffee shipments I returned, that since I didn't start the dispute 60 days from the first charge. I'm sure that's what Seattle Direct/World Bean Cafe had in mind the whole time.

I did the same thing. I was on Facebook back in August 2009 and saw the wonderful deal for 4 things...2 coffee cups and 2 bags of coffee. I received the package and was only charged $12. Well, after that, I checked my account on my debit card. Thankfully I did this and found that they charged me twice on the same day for the "membership" fee and 2 pouches of coffee. It was a total of like $79.40. Well, I am a student and couldnt really afford it. So, what did I do? I called and cancelled my order and my account. The customer service rep was nice. He said that it was no problem. He would send me a confirmation email but how did I hear about the company? Did I realize that there was a membership fee of 2 coffee shipments a month. I said no and that I wanted to be refunded. He told me that it would be about 3 billing cycles to get the money back in my account. I only had to reject the shipment from UPS when it got off the truck. I did that. I know the UPS delivery man in my area and he sent the packages back for me. Well, I called a few times and actually spoke with someone. Everyone said something different, but I thought everything was legit. I know they got their coffee, I want my MONEY! Anyways, I also called and kept getting a recording. I left several messages and so did my husband! Finally, I checked the website, sent the email and got a response...this is what they said (copied and pasted) :

Thank you for your email regarding your refund. A representative will review your request and a check will be sent to you shortly for the amount in full. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery.

Thank you for your email. We look forward to satisfying your request.

It also said that it was an "Out of the Office-Auto Reply"... So, then I went to Peel Management and all of these scam things came up. I also had an incident the middle of November from someone that said they were from CashNet USA and that I had taken a loan out. They said that they had all my info and that I was being sued for all kinds of things. I knew that was a scam as soon as they said that the cops were on the way to my door to arrest me. I am a law student and know that you can't make an arrest on a civil case and I never committed any crimes or apply for a loan. I wonder if they are connected. The only difference is the other scammers sounded like they were in one room and all sounded as if they had heavy accents but were named very "American names" like John Williams and Officer Walters. Anyways, People on Facebook: Please do not get caught up in this scam. I still want my money from Seattle Coffee Direct, WorldBean Cafe or Peel...whatever name you are going under now. I have different names on each thing! Anyways, please we all have to report this and keep ourselves safe from thieves and scammers!

Approx. 1 year ago I did order coffee from these people not realizing I would be getting a shipment every two weeks. When the second shipment arrived I called and requested that all future shipments be cancelled. This was taken care of. I had paid for both shipments with my debit card. Nine (9) months later I received a charge on my checking accout in the amount of $79.98. Not having ordered anything I immediately called them and they agreed to credit the money back but I was told it took 30 days to process a credit. I waited for 31 days and called again and was told it took 30-60 days to process a credit. I now cannot get to a person on the phone - it is always a recording and then you are requested to leave your name and number and someone would call you back. I have never received a call back and it is now almost 90 Days. I would not recommend this Co. and I don't think their coffee is any better than Chock Full of Nuts.

Call your bank/credit card company. They should be able to reverse the charges. Just tell them this story and you should have your CC refunded in about 30 days.

I was overcharged as well, twice. I have called every month since Oct 2009, and everytime I'm told they will refund my money, the refund is being processed and even early this month I was told the refund check was in the mail and that I should get it in about three days. It's been eight and no check yet. To my surprise when I go to check the website for the number I find it is no long available. If anyone has been able to get through, please post it here. I don't know what else to do at this point.

I responded to a FREE offer of tea bags and was signed up for a monthy club without my knowledge...I was first charged 2.00 then 38.95 to my checking account. I was told it was needed for verification purposes only. I called in august and was told it would take 30 days to process a refund. called in 30 days and told it was going to takke 30 to 60 days...called in another 30 days and haven't been able to get through at all...anytime any day...I have found 3 different phone numbers for this company and they all divert to the same voice mail, saying all reps are busy. because i waited 60 days trying to solve this my bnak can't do anything...if you get bilked by these crooks call your bank right away to stop payment, I wish I had Amber Elliott Riverside CA

This company took money from my account without my permission and won't return the money or my calls. I have returned products, some of which I did not order or want. I have left 30 to 40 messages with no results. They promised to refund the money in 7 to 10 days it has been four months.

I also was scamed by this company. I have contacted them atleast 4 seperate times and was told each time I would receive my refund in they next billing cycle. Now when I try and call all I get is a rec0rding that eventually askes me to leave a message and they will get back to me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be looking into filling a complaint with my state for scams

Last August 2009, Seattle Coffee Direct got my information through a survey site (third party!) and charged me a hundred dollars towards coffee! When I called to straighten things out, the day after, they said " when you receive your coffee return to sender for a FULL REFUND". So I did just that. And waited a while and saw no money returned to my bank account. so i called a few weeks later and they said "It will take up to 2 months for the money to show up in your account." As mad as I was, I remained calm, said "alright" and waited out the 2 months. By November I had seen NO MONEY! And I am a student living alone working full time to pay my bills, so this hundred dollars is a BIG deal to me. I called again and they said "Okay, we'll return your money..but it will take up to 2 months." At that moment I lost it. WHATTTTT?! That should have already happened! we already had this conversation! I was going crazy. But I was still being polite. She says "yeah, but they didnt sctually do it, im going to send it through now." So of course I say, well how do i know the same thing isnt going to happen in 2 months. She says " cause im sitting here doing it right now." And I'm like, well how do I know that? are you going to send me an email document of the process? And she just said "Im sending it! have a good day!" and HUNG UP!

Now its almost Febuary. Its been more then 2 months. NO money. I've been calling 10 times a day, every hour they are open. No answer. I leave a message every time. No return call.

I HATE this company.

The Euro Coffee Direct web site now lists a new name for the company however they are no longer accepting orders.

I contacted the Attorney General's office for my state and they recommended that I file a dispute with my bank and file a complaint with the Attorney General's office in Illinois. Here is the location information I have gathered.

i was charged for two orders of coffee and two coffeee mugs for $79.00 ea for a total of $158.00
charged to debit bank account, resulting in my acount to overdraft and acure in another $66.00 in fees

i spent three and ahalf weeks calling them before seattle coffee answered there phone they said the orders were a mistake and they would refound me my money within in 30 days and gave me a confirmation number and e-mailed this information to me and my bank its ben almost 70 days sense and i have not gotten my mony back!
and i left a massage with them on there phone aswering machine states and no one ever calls me back as they say

I received 5 packets of coffee, noticed several unauthorized charges to my account, and called to find out that I had an account, due to a special that was to cost only $5.oo. I cancelled and was told that once the packets were returned the account would be credit for all packets returned...

I am a senior with a limited income, all my expenses are planned. When $200.00 is deducted unexpectedly, I have to decide what not to pay or what not to eat. This was explained to each representative, the point that I really needed my refund to meet my necessities was stressed most sincerely. Still no refund. It there anywhere else I can go for assistance.
