Purchased a Servco Total protection plan from Lazyboy for an expensive couch. ServeCo is a fricken scam of a company. Lazyboy should be sued for selling such a crappy and worthless service. Called ServeCo in November of 2023 and requested repair of my power recliner. They contracted Tri County Furniture to come out at a cost of $210. Tri County came out on 12/13/23 and repaired recliner. Six weeks later it stopped working. I called ServeCo and they tell me they do not warranty their work beyond seven days following the service call. WHAT A RIP OFF! It is my opinion they took advantage of a 77 year old woman. ServeCo does not stand behind their work, do not use them to repair your furniture!

1. My furniture specialist sold me my said Ultra shield (ServeCo North America) 10 year furniture warranty coverage and provided a copy of said warranty.
2. My listed Warranty Coverage states: Item "7. Cracking and peeling".
3. In filing my claim, there was back and forth and process confusion, however I have since clarified that this single claim is regarding the cracking and peeling on the arm of our recliner.
4. It must be noted that moot attempts to turn down the claim included:
• It isn't a covered item. MOOT - cracking and peeling is listed.
• Stains or damage do have to be reported within 5 days. MOOT - it is not a stain or damage.
• It is a covered item, number 7. "Cracking and peeling."
5. To date, it is at least 45 days since original staff Bryttanie Mulkey, bryttaniem@serveco.com, now Stacy - Director of Customer Service (404-567-6649) have given me the run-around.
6. Current status: Stacy Director of Customer Service, stated, we have a technician in the area. I will sent the picture. They are not open yet. I never heard anything and called back. Then she said, "Someone would call me back", etc. I have left messages and heard nothing. Yesterday, 11-14-19 was my third call to Stacy.
7. It is a "badge of fraud" to sell a product and play games to never deliver it.
8. Consumer regulators and authorities need to encourage cessation of such fraudulent practices.

ServeCo contacted our dispatched service technician, who willingly agreed to revisit the consumer's residence and replace the switch without any cost to the consumer if it was indeed found to be defective. In addition, ServeCo reached out to John Shaw, who is Patricia Pelchy's son, and extended the offer of a no-cost return visit. However, Mr. Shaw declined the service, expressing a preference to engage another tech company and requesting a refund from us. ServeCo explained to him that, due to the passage of a month and a half, it is challenging for a service company to solely rely on a customer's word regarding the failure of our services or parts. The cause of the malfunction may not necessarily be attributable to our service or part. To accurately assess and address the issue, it was crucial for us to conduct an on-site inspection. Unfortunately, the offer for a return visit was declined by the consumer's son, leading to the closure of the claim.
