This product was purchased by my mother for me as a gift. She paid in full--and has provided bak statements to Sheer Cover to shoe that she was even overcharged--but continues to receive bills. I have also received bills, though I have never placed an order (they had my name as the shipping address).

I called and explained that 1) I did not order, and 2) the account had been paid, bu they refuse to remove my name. I have now received a letter from a collection agency!

I guess beware!

I too cancelled my order because the product is crap!I was told if I did not like the product I could return it-NO questions asked for a complete refund! Now I keep getting these "collection" letters for the product I already returned months ago.
I can't believe that they can keep doing this and getting away with it! How can "Leeza" put her face on a product that intimidates people like this!She should be ashamed of herself

If you return shipments to SHEER COVER, be sure to get confirmation. They just turned me over to a COLLECTION AGENCY even though I HAVE PROOF via a phone call with the account specialist that they got my package back. warehouse.

I got a shipment in last December, closed my my account in January 2009. I had hubby mail the package back in March.

I have never gotten any bills about this shipment.

Just got a phone call from an abusive collection agency telling me Guthy-Renker Corporation - SHEER COVER turned me over because I had an outstanding bill of 97.00.

I was flabbergasted! I told her I had sent it back unopened and would not pay for it. She said I still had to pay. I told her I would never pay the bill. She hung up on me.

I called SHEER COVER immediately at [protected] and spoke with a women with such a stong SPANISH accent, I could not understand her. Because of the language barrier, I asked to speak with a supervisor. She hung up on me.

I called back and talked with WALT. He said my package WAS RECIEVED on March 27th but I'd still have to pay! He said because they recieved it outside the return policy date.

I disputed this. I said you got it back, unopened in good condition which he agreed with. He would NOT take this off my record. I told him if he could not do it to transfer me to a supervisor.

I then spoke with KATHY, an Accounts Specialist. She confirmed they got the package back on March 27th. She also said "supposedly" I had been sent 5 bills from December 12 when it was shipped. I told her I had never gotten a single bill.

I am astounded. I closed my account in January, sent back the package inopened and never got a single bill from this company. BLAM-O, I get a nasty collection agency call from [protected] and this is the first I've heard of this.

They got the package back UNOPENED and they can just ship it off right now to someone else. This is LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. You'd think they would cut me slack. This is LOUSY.

I don't even have a jobbut that is NOT the point. They got it back, they can send it to another customer and I feel I've been ripped off. They keep the make up and I pay for what? Thin air? I don't need the stuff.

This company has NO COMPASSION. Do not EVER buy anything from Guthy-Renker Corporation - SHEER COVER. Take it from me.

wow i wish i had seen all these complaints before i jumped on the wagon. I just knew it had to be a good company bcauseof lisa and qvc backing it. They treated me like crap and still owe me money .i ordered 1 shipment and was sent 3 and billed for them back to back.
then besides all that it wasn't the products i had wanted. i kept them anyway and sent the other 2 boxes back with certified letter. they still have yet to honer their mistake and has owed me for returned products for 6 months. they owe me over 100.00 My next step is credit bureau and sending certified leter to QVC. then i'm publishing ad in news paper on how they conduct business.
Then if none of that works, i'm bringing it to the attention of the news media about their scam. Then last and final step if necessary is my attorney with them in court.

I just got off the phone with Sheers, as they charged $190.69 for 3 months supply. That I am going to receive in the next 2 to 3 weeks, where the hell is it coming from? that it is going to take that long. I asked for a refund she told me that I need to wait till i recieve the product and then send it back, and then they will issue my refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and guess what the supervisor did not come on the phone, but she relayed the message through the front line agent. I was told that you are automatically enrolled in 3 mths supply.
Nowhere on the website does it say you are enrolled for the next 3 mths orders, or even on the reciept.

I have contacted m bank they told that I had to cancel my card and once I recieve the shipment to send it back with tracking confirmation and reciept, then I will be able to get a refund back. That means over month before I might get my money back...

I strong advise that well get to together and file a law suit against Sheer.

I order sheer cover once and never ordered again because it doesn't work for my skin type. After a month they started sending me package again which i never ordered. I called the customer service and return the box to take it out of my credit bills. I have to pay my own shipping for 7$ and they return my money to my credit card but minus $9. First of all i didn't order it. They made me return it and pay shipping comming from my own pocket and when they got the package back they did still charge me $9. On top of it i never use it. What a rip off... they are stealing money from the customer. I will never purchase anything from this company again.

Guthy Renker Corporation is a scam!
I should have done some research before ordering from this Guthy Renker Sheer Cover Crap company! I ordered their $29.95 intro kit plus the Base Perfector tube for a few dollars extra which came out to be $36.65. The kit came with a paper that says showing $109.95, and a second and third payment to be charged $36.65 each. Since their intro kit is only $30 which I already paid for, I am thinking they will sent me more products. I will just cancel the account when I get the bill so I won't receive anymore products.
2 months later I got a bill for $73.30 and I called to cancel. They told me I can cancel but I still need to pay. I said "but I don't want anymore products". They said that I won't be getting any, the package that I received the first time had cost $109.95! Since when? "since you ordered the Base Perfecter tube". So the 1month intro kit "AUTOMATICALLY" becomes the 3 month kit once you add anything for a few bucks extra! I was outraged! I asked them then why don't they show the $109.95 on my order confirmation screen when I check out? they said it's because I've been "automatically" enrolled into their installment plan once I was on the 3 month kit. "All these were clearly written on our website" the rep said, "but I can give you a 20% discount on your bill, what you do is up to you". Such BULL CRAP! they've apparently carefully planned this trap for consumers to step into. it's past their 60 day return policy and I either have to pay or to deal with collectors. Wow how slick! I bet they even have in-house collectors standing by to streamline this operation. I curse anyone who benefits from this company hardship, ill fortune, bad health, loneliness and pain but longevity.

Hmm,

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a scam, but a very well thought out money making business.
I just canceled my account after going over my credit card bill.
I had estimated that I should have paid my credit card off but for the sporadic charges made to it by SheerCover®.
I rang them up to politely ask where and why the charges seemed so much and so sporadic. It didn't take long for them to explain and for me to close my account. They were quite cordial.

Having said all that, I look at my small case two powders, a blush, concealer, mini lip-gloss pack, and a range of 'gifted', yet mostly useless brushes...

...for make-up that makes me break out.
I'm normally soooo good with my money!

'Members Price' or not, I can't help but feel like a complete idiot.

Ordered a trial kit to try out product. Didn't like it. Called a month later to cancel subscription so they won't send me monthly kits and bill me. Got a bill six months later asking me for payment of something they shipped. I called to inquire. The customer service agent confirmed that I don't have an open account and that they were the ones who owed me money since they billed my PayPal account for the shipment that did not arrive. Got another bill the following month so I called again. Customer service agent said the same thing - that I don't have an open account and that the system shows that they owe me money. Got two more invoices again the following few months. This time, they say they have absolutely no record of the calls I made and the previous conversations I had with their customer service agents. How convenient! And that by now, it is too late for them to do anything because it is way past their money back guarantee period so I have to pay them or they are sending the fictitious debt to a collections agency. And guess what? My account has suddenly become "active all this time" and that another shipment will be sent out. I asked that it be canceled again but how do you trust a company to follow through anymore?!

omg i just had a mare with sheer cover total rip off, ordered trial pack for my wedding never recieved for 14 days later missed my wedding date so had to go out and spend more money on make up. they took money however straight away and 30 days later not 90 days as advertised they took 55.00 out of my account. I reported them to my bank and have sent a stinker of a letter to sheercover they conned me big time DONT USE THIS COMPANY ONLINE YOU CAN BUY FROM STORE WITHOUT THE PLAN SCAM

I order a trial kit only. The next month they sent me a another kit and a large charge. I did not order so I sent it back and they refuse to refund my account for the money they took. Now I looked at my bank account today and found out they charged it again. This account is canceled and they keep charging me. Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY EVER THEY STEAL FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!

Everything above is so true--this company is such a scam. I Also ordered this thinking the trial was $29.95 and that I would then make a decision to keep getting this. No they just continued to take money out of my account. I then called and they told me that a package was on it's way to me. I told them I did not want it and I was then informed that I had to send it back to them and then they would credit my account, but at that time my account was cancelled. I sent the package back 3 weeks ago and look at my account today and they took more money out. I call into them and just as everyone above states they have ZERO customer service. They would not credit my account stating that they do not have the package. I told them I would charge this back and the lady told me to "go ahead." Ridiculous, terrible make-up, and a complete SCAM! Do not order this make up --go with Bare Minerals or Avon both are much better companies than this scam.

Same as my situation, I ordered a trial kit of Sheer cover so I only pay $4.99 for shipping. I was worried to get a monthly bills after I read many consumer's complaint. So I called the costumers service to cancel my subscription to them and they said they will canceling it for me. Good thing I made action before the 30 days happen. it only took me 5 days from the day I ordered. My problem solved.
