I have been a customer and bidder on the shopgoodwill.com platform for many years. Just within the last year the prices on shipping have tripled and I do not understand why this is happening. With all the discounts offered through USPS with flat rate packaging for up to 70 pounds and discounts offered through Fed Ex, this is hard to understand. The average price on an item shipping is approx. $16.99 and goes up from there. This is unacceptable for a non profit, charitable organization to be taking advantage of its customers for gaining profit in this way! I live in California and this is border lining the illegal practice of price gouging! I wanted to see what your take is on this matter before I escalate this issue with a government authority. There is NO REASON for the shipping of an item to exceed the purchase price of the item won on an auction.
Example: Kate Spade Backpack Leather Bag: Price won: $10.99
shipping price: Weight 1.27 $15.79
I bought this in spite of the shipping price because I needed a purse. The inflated shipping prices are a problem that needs some attention by your corporate executives
I hope this is taken seriously and someone can explain why a charity is riipping the public off!
Sincerely,
Lisa Garcia

You’ve been a loyal customer to ShopGoodWill, and it’s clear the recent shipping costs have left you questioning their practices. When shipping prices start to overshadow the actual item cost, something’s off — especially for a nonprofit. Hopefully, your message gets through to their executives and prompts some much-needed changes. You’ve definitely made your point, and it’s time they take it seriously!
