ShopGoodwill “duplicate” account

Been arguing with the company for over a week now via email about being banned for multiple accounts, however - they were able to provide me the ones that they showed that got me the strike and A) one of them I DIDN’T make (yeah they over looked that) and B) almost all the others were for 2017.

I had initially asked them to deactivate/delete the current account I had been using because there were a few past due items on it that - even though I messaged the sellers early in the day about getting the issues resolved (it was the “this item has been unsuccessful attempted to be charged too many times” or however it is worded), they came back the next day after it was overdue and said no, it was my fault for not messaging them soon enough and couldn’t help me.

So, no I don’t understand, if you look at their website, the only things that are explicitly stated are “you can only have one account at a time” and when asking how do you delete the accounts, “email -insert support email here-“. No where does it mention, ‘hey, in deleting your account you are forfeiting all right to use our service because we aren’t actually deleting it - rather just disabling it on your end and keeping all the information for our records.’, nor does it really mention what they are tracking to qualify something as a duplicate account (and how fo get it resolved if it is not), how to resolve unpaid items since (hate to say it but that is the only thing people have brought up in getting this fixed and.. the users -for the most part, I don’t want to get into the issue of shill/proxy bidding- are human, we mess up. PLEASE, be a tiny bit flexible and work with us) once the account is disabled, how can you do that?

As poor of a system as this was *ESPECIALLY after the site updated*, I throughly enjoyed it. Since the pandemic hit, I was already kind of limited mobility and now it’s hit and miss.. this was something that allowed me to have that old thrill of thrifting or treasure hunting. Despite having to deal with all of the fees and issues and outages, it was nice.

ShopGoodwill Subject: Poorly Packaged Seller:Goodwill Industries of North Florida Item ID: [protected] - Vintage Mantel Clock w/Lion Head Handles

I was very disappointed in the packaging of this clock I purchased. I have purchased many clocks from the Goodwill and all were packaged great with bubble wrap. I received this one and it was wrapped loosely in a few sheets of bran paper loose in the box. One leg was busted and the glass cover was loose in the box. I know the clock was as is for repairs but the way this was package was totally unacceptable .

I feel due to the very poor packaging I should be refunded at least if not more the shipping and handling charges it's a wonder the clock made it at all the way it was packaged.

ShopGoodwill Fraud - goodwill industries of South Florida

I bought a robot vacuum from this goodwill online about two months ago. They had it listed as "in original unopened box." I received it and as a reseller listed it on ebay for resale as a new in sealed box. I sold it and shipped it to the ebay customer who bought it. They said when they opened it up the robot vacuum was not new and had scratches and had worn parts. They said someone had placed tape over the original tape that was sealing the box. I had to refund the ebay customer. I contacted this goodwill to explain to them what happened and asked for my money back since they had it listed as "in original unopened box" and it was not new but used. They emailed me back and said they will not give me my money back because it has been two months since I bought it. I told them it does not matter because you sold me something that was not as described and that is fraud. I would have never bought the robot vacuum if they had not listed it as in a unopened box. I don't buy anything from goodwill unless it is new. I don't buy used items. I told them if I don't get my money back then I will contact the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission for fraud. I am in the process of doing that and also have the ebay customer as a witness.

ShopGoodwill Graphic novel

Purchase a graphic novel from shopgoodwill.com for 3.99 which I assumed was a bargain even no one seemed to want this in 9 days except in the last minute when I bid $1.99. I was instantly outbid by $1 which was very very suspicious so I waited till the last few seconds and placed a big for $5.00 and won the item for $3.99. The book is $15 new retail so I though I still got a deal until they tacked on a handling fee of $2.00 and a shipping cost of $14.78 - plus tax making my used purchase about 40% higher than the retail book store version would have been. To make matter even worse after 14 days later and several email attempts shopgoodwill.com customer service does not respond to inquires about whyn they haven't shipped the item yet and neither do the local stores selling the items. I finally had to contact paypal who have refund my money since goodwill would not respond to their inquires either. Best to stay away from goodwill.com unless you want to contribution to a billionaire who makes everything goodwill brings in only for himself while getting subsidies for employing handicap people they exploit by paying them.50-$1.24 per hour.

Desired outcome: none - will NEVER buy from them again but I want people to be warned of this rip off site

True, shipping prices are atrocious and it doesn't actually cost that much for them to ship it. They just want to make a quick buck.

ShopGoodwill Blocked from logging in.

I have been blocked from logging into the ShopGoodwill website. I can not look to purchase until they free up my login.

I have shopped and purchased numerous items from them. I have always paid immediately whenever I would get notice of payment due.

I have absolutely no idea why they would stop me from shopping with them.

No explanation from them as to why they have blocked me from logging in.

Please help!

Desired outcome: To be reinstated, so I can continue shopping with them.

ShopGoodwill Reading has me blocked

Why am I blocked no one answers this question. Been buying from them since 2000 and have never not paid for an item. Only one blocking me is Reading Pa. They failed to respond to my over 10 requested in 8 weeks for a reason why I am blocked. I can bid from anyone but Reading. wHY? I spend thousands of dollars a year at shopgoodwill and the local stores.

ShopGoodwill keep getting 403 forbidden when i try to go to the website... have no idea why

Trying to login to check on my account . I know I have an item to pay for and would also like to see where an item is that was shipped out. All I Get is 403 forbidden and I cant reach the website. I have been buying items from shopgoodwill for many years and have not had any issues. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the new website?

ShopGoodwill My auction account

My account has recently been deactivated and have been told I can no longer shop because of unpaid winning bids.I have only ever bid on 1 item which I won and immediately paid via PayPal.I literally have no idea what other winning bids they are talking about.Not sure if this is a glitch in the system.I would never not pay for an item, I have been a seller on eBay for 10 years with a perfect rating.

ShopGoodwill Deceptive product

I bought what appeared to be an electric razor with a charging base. The box had tape around it; but I assumed it was to make the customer aware of its undisturbed contents. It was marked at $9.99, and I of course thought it to be a bargain. I am also aware of the no return policy Goodwill has. When I got home I opened the box to find a charging base and cleaning solution; nor shaver or electric cord to plug the charger in with. I took pictures and sent them to the main Goodwill website. They replied with a link to find my local store, nothing else.

ShopGoodwill Electronics

Bought a guitar amp did not work...bought two pa monitors ...one worked the other didn't work...bought a flat screen tv it would go on and off...it stopped working a short time there after. No refunds...contacted goodwill but they said I was contacting wrong region. Lesson..don't buy electronics from Goodwill.

ShopGoodwill Auction

I have ordered over thousands of dollars through goodwill.com. Well they disabled my account I had just paid $304 dollars for a 14k necklace. Now they said it's canceled and I'm out my $304 dollars. So I email and get in contact with someone and they look into it. And they were very nice at first. Then when they email back it's very short and quick l. It says. Your purchased ticket item had been closed. Hope we were able to answer or address you issues. Then a thing to rate them. I told my whole situation and how much money the item was. And sent the picture of my purchase. So they know how much I spent. And how much they plan to let me be out of

Desired outcome: I want my $304 dollars and I want to charge a handling fee and that’s $200 dollars

ShopGoodwill Auctions, shipping fees and customer service

Recently I bid on a few auctions and ended up where I couldn't pay them on the date due. I emailed customer service a few days ahead of time asking for an extension and got no answer from any of the "sellers". I attempted to pay as soon as I could but that option was not available. So I emailed again, and again got no answer. The items I have gotten from them have been pretty much as described but not all were correct. And the cost of shipping is unbelievable. I am a reseller myself so I know how shipping works. My mother has tried to use my phone for her account and it disabled her account for only that reason. She has never been late paying and has been in good standing until she used my phone and no cannot shop there anymore. Goodwill is NOT what everyone thinks they are and it's about time more people knew about it

Desired outcome: Maybe be a little more compassionate and forgiving for first time offenders? If that's what they call it. Especially in this day and age, people have so much going on and make mistakes and we never know what's going to happen day to day

ShopGoodwill Unfair shipping practices

Beware! Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire
- I won 3 pendants and 1 ring they are charging me $14.00 shipping and refuse to combine the shipping saying it is Fedex doing it see their response :
"FedEx calculates shipping costs based on the size/weight of the item, as well as the distance that it needs to travel. Unfortunately we are unable to lower shipping costs, as they are already as low as we can make them. Thank you."
This is NOT true I have purchased almost $18, 000 in items from all over this is the ONLY one that is doing this shady shipping practice!
They are charging for 4 ponds, 1 pound for each item!

Desired outcome: Please combine the shipping

Hey! What specific goodwill ("seller") was this so others know to avoid them?

I found this in the terms of service which seems sketch itself:

"GOODWILL IS NOT INVOLVED IN THE ACTUAL BIDDING AND SALES TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN SELLERS AND BUYERS, WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF THE ITEMS ADVERTISED, THE TRUTH OR ACCURACY OF THE LISTINGS, THE ABILITY OF SELLERS TO SELL ANY ITEMS, OR THE ABILITY OF BUYERS TO BUY ANY ITEMS. WE CANNOT AND DO NOT CONTROL WHETHER ANY PARTY WILL COMPLETE A TRANSACTION. "

Who are these "sellers" since goodwill isn't even associated with the site? I've had this same thing happen but decided to cut my losses and just set it to pick up but never went to get it. Better than spending $50 on shipping a product I got for $6 that's worth maybe $20 🙄

Also, I like how they absolve themselves of any liability. If you read up on goodwill and trademarks (note the lower case g) it'll make your head hurt but makes sense how they get away with shoddy tactics like this.

Ah well, big biz is big biz I guess.

ShopGoodwill I have over 10 items & am NOT ALLOWED TO "PAY"!!!

Can you believe THAT. I have ALWAYS PAID &/or communicated with every source and over the past week no one will accept my payments! My credit card is fine & the issues are entirely at each shop goodwill site. What is going on?

ShopGoodwill Auction account

Had account banned after missed payment due to system lockout and when I contacted to see how I could pay I received no reply. Opened a new account after this and was immediately banned despite no missed payments. When contacted customer service was told that there is no way to enable my account.

I use this auction for my work as a Set Decorator, and am now paying a price for their poor technology which does not allow for payment on the 3rd day payment is due, and changes passwords without user permission leading to a locked account. They just need to enable auto-pay!

Desired outcome: Enable user accounts and make payments automatic or at least notifications of payment/fix tech.

FYI that happen to me and now i just make a different account with a different name but i pay and use my real card infoand address. its hard to bid on long auctions cause the account we be takin down in a matter of hours. so i shop at the buy it now tab and pay asap. Ive got everything ive order without being able to get back in the account. Yea it sucks to have to make a new account and email everytime but its the only way. I think someone monitors the site and does all the changes. Dont register for a account until you find what you want and is ready to buy.

I've had the same thing happen with the same response from support, even though I made arrangements and items were paid and shipped to me! Im not sure what can be done. My boyfriend made an account and they disabled his right away too!

ShopGoodwill My account has been disable/block completely

Customer number: account black/disable can't get number

On march the 29th of 2021 year my online shopgoodwill.com account. In which was blocked from using. After days of sending e-messages to shopgoodwill.com customer service "no response". Just today april 7, 2021 at 4:20 pm my account was fully disable entirely of shopgoodwill.com.

Desired outcome: Refund all of my Purchases from their Website/Reactivate my Account with Unlimited Services/Features.

ShopGoodwill Disabled Accounts

I have never not paid for an item I won. I have never done anything but pay for items I win. Yet my account got disabled, and I've tried to make other accounts and they're immediately disabled. It's so unfair and bias, it makes me wonder if they just automatically ban people from groups of IP addresses or something? I've tried to contact them over and over, and no one gets back to me. It's the WORST online system I've ever used.
