store service
I went to Shoppers located at 6500 Eastern Avenue to get a few things Bread, milk, and snacks for the kids on August 7, 2018 at 9:30pm. After rounding all the items I wanted in my basket I proceeded to the checkout line. 1 register and 2 self checkout registers were open. The lines had at least 12-15 people in each line. I stood in a line for over 25 mins for me to get to the self checkout register and it to read no cash/ credit or debit only. Now I had to go to another line and stand for even longer. If a register is not excepting cash a sign needs to be place on the outside so everyone getting in line can see. I wasted almost an hour standing in line with my children way past their bed time. And when I addressed this with the manager on duty I got shrugged off. The store needs more cashiers for one and for two you should have all employees take a customer service training so they can learn how to address customers. Common senseless is not so common anymore, to bad there is not a training for that also. I had a horrible experience at this store and doult I will return unless I'm in a bind.
cashier
While visiting the DC area from NC, I was shopping at the Shoppers Food Warehouse in Landover, MD. There was a sale for General Mills cereal for 4 boxes from 12-19 oz. There were some Kellogg's cereals in the same area. To make a long story short, the cereal issue was resolved thanks to the male store manager that was called by the customer service cashier. My complaint is for the initial cashier, Oscar J. He was rash and rude. His attitude was not customer friendly and he even spoke harshly about his co-workers wanting him to always do things he didn't have the authority. He even began venting to the next customer in line about my issue, whom he did not know was my relative. He seemed to be a very disgruntled employee with a bad attitude.
obtaining money order and or getting quarters / using customer service line
On two separate occasions I went to shoppers to get quarters and or quarters for my weekly clothes washing and both times were terrible experiences. The front cashiers are rude and or disrespectful. They make customers staying in long lines when obtaining quarters or asking for change before purchasing any items. I have shopped at shoppers since I was a child were my parent and I go to at least three time per week. I will not shop at this food chain and will continue my family friend and colleagues not to shop at this food chain because of the rude and disrespectful services
manager' behavior
I am a frequent local shopper. Several times as I am checking out my products, the African American older manager constantly stares and says something about me to the person monitoring the self -service checkouts. I know this because he stares, then he says something to the person, then the person looks at me. This has happened numerous times, that it is making me feel uncomfortable.
I'm not asking for him to be fired, but for him to be retrained in customer relations and then transferred to another location.
I should feel comfortable shopping at my local market.
This is Shoppers 2293.
rude store worker
An employee named Bob frequently mans the self-service checkout aisles at the store in Olney, MD. I have seen Bob confront women several times when the equipment malfunctions. These malfunctions are frequent enough that we expect them each time we shop there. Bob has not confronted my wife when I am with her, but has done so 3 times when she was alone. This man is rude and offensive. The last straw was several weeks ago when the belt stopped again. I had just stepped away to put an item we didn't want back on the shelf. Bob came over and accused my wife of "throwing" the items down the belt. He then picked up a can and tossed it down the unit himself! I saw the end of this confrontation as I returned to the check out. My son was present and kept me calm; we agreed to talk to the manager about Bob's incredible behavior.

why would you have in your employ someone who is a shoplifter and has or will go to court for it 2 times?
employee customer service
On 11/25/2017 I visited store #2637. I stopped in to grab one item on the way home and decided I would also like to purchase a lb. Of shrimp.
I approached the seafood counter where 3 women were working and conversing. After a minute or so, the younger of the 3 women said "what do you need" I was a bit confused because I was not aware that she was addressing me. I attempted to answer after a brief pause but then the woman said. "you looking and [censor]" as she walked off. I stood there in shock. Finallly another woman approached and asked what can she get for me.
After I received the shrimp, the young lady made her way back and gave me a really bad stare. I decided to contact the store manager who then said she would have a talk with the employee.
My experience today was awful. The worst o have ever seen and I think this woman is use to conducting herself that way while on the job.
I will never shop at that location again. If I can iï¸ will probably pass on shoppers overall. The service was unprofessional and also threatening.
check out
When I went to Shoppers to get some things, my daughter wanted some French bread. As we shopped she ate some of the bread. When we checked out some of the bread had fell out on the shelf where the bags sit and the cashier picked up the piece of bread and put it back in the bread bag. Now mind you she touched the bread with her bare hands. Um gross!
cheese sticks
I brought some cheese sticks the other day. My son open it up an starts to eat one he looks at me an say that taste funny. I look at them an they got pieces of bacon on them! My family don’t eat pork at all! I’ve been buying cheese sticks from that store forever an never have I gotten them with bacon, maybe with Jalapenos but never bacon. An the tag didn’t say it either.. So I go back to the store an it’s a lady in the bakery on Friday 13th about 4:30 or so an I explain my issue she looks at me an says she’ll let the bakery manager know. My a very upset customer very upset
complaint of management
On Tuesday I visited the HEB on Slaughter Lane and Machaca in south Austin because it is a larger store than my local store on William Cannon and IH 35. It was not quite 2:00 pm and all of the open lines to the registers were backed up to the food isles. I looked for a manager who was standing by the cigarettes and other end of the checkout lines. His name was Joe and a real [censored]. I was furious that he wasn't on the other side seeing how backed up the lines were because that is where management stands in my store.
He told me he was going to call more checkers but continued to help smokers get their cigarettes. It seems the need of the many should always be greater than the need of one!
I will not revisit that store and believe Joe could use some customer service training. If you need pictures to substantiate my complaint I have them. Even one of Joe.

customer service was awful
7/26/2017 I arrived at Shoppers in Largo, Maryland at 7:30am to buy a baby formula which I saw was on the back counter. Once I got to the desk the manager let me know that the customer service desk does not open until 8:00am he did not ask me what I needed at the customer service desk he just immediately told me it was closed. I politely told the manager I would wait until the customer service desk opened. There were plenty of employee's around and not once did anyone ask me what I needed or what I was waiting for. Finally at 8:03 the woman working the customer service desk came and asked me what I wanted. When I told her what I was there to purchase she said and I quote "you have been standing here for 30min and all you wanted was baby formula, someone could have got that for you and took you to a kiosk to ring you up". I politely told the lady no one ever asked me what I wanted they just immediately told me the customer service desk does not open until 8am. This was horrible customer service. This was my first time needing baby formula from the grocery store because I usually go to target so I had no clue what any type of protocol was to getting the baby formula. For the store to open at 6am, and for me not to be able to get a baby formula until 8:03am is absolutely ridiculous. I am appalled at the lack of communication there was in a customer service environment. Especially from the manager of the store.
poor customer service
Dear Shoppers-Manchester,
On July 15, 2017, I was a patron of this establishment. There were two cashiers with long lines and two kiosks in service also, with long lines. Peggy, The Apathetic Cashier, who was managing the kiosks noticed the lines were long. Certainly, did not show an eagerness to remedy the matter. She wouldn't even bag the customer groceries. However, was audacious enough to ring up her co-worker, with a long line of customers. Her since of urgency is lacking severely and needs to be re-trained in the matter of customer service and hospitality.

overall customer service
I visited the Shoppers on MLK in the Vista Gardens Shopping Center on Wednesday 7/5/2017. It started off at the Deli counter. Standing in line with 4 4 customers at one end and there was no one there to serve us at the cooked food side of counter. At the other end was a young man busily helping a customer. An older man was kind of out of site and did not come out until ushered out by another employee. Wow! He didn't even look up or acknowledge the customers.
The second was while have a angry cashier at the fast check out. She was visibly angry by something and ended up slamming the drawer with my change on the inside. She said sorry for her bad attitude a few times but I said nothing. There was more that I observed about the employees there.
Not Good at All.
cashier/unethical behaviour
On Monday, July 03, 2017, I had an experience at the Shoppers Food Warehouse, Store : 2618, Cashier Noelle, located 7790 Riverdale Rd, New Carollton, Maryland, 20784. Ms. Noelle is the cashier who ranged and bagged the groceries that I purchased, when she got to the small packages of bottled water she asked me if I would like for the 3 packages to be bagged and I respond yes could you please. As Ms. Noelle began bagging the water she slammed the bags onto the bagging counter. So I stated to her, I hope that wasn't any trouble.in the most nastiest tone she replied, "if it was any trouble I would not have asked you." I did not say anything further. I was very tempted to leave in the middle of the process to go to another Shoppers Food Warehouse to purchase the same items. I don't know this lady and I did not deserve this type of behaviour. This is unacceptable behaviour and should be tolerated by any employee. I hope this gets to the corporate office.
not a product, something else
I was just curious as to why you guys don't allow a +1 on the conference trip? I feel that you should allow a +1 but that +1 would have to pay their own way. Would stay away from the conference. There are people with medical problems that need to be with their significant other but can't because of your out dated rules. I doubt it could cause any real problems.
redeeming points
Good morning
I went to shoppers to use my points that day (redeem 50, 000 points and get back 20.00)
I got to the cash and the cashier put use 95000. After the transaction was done, I went back within 5 minutes and said she did the wrong redemption, I wanted 50, 000 points. My total bill was 110.00 sub total, I wanted to add funds and only redeem 50, 000. She has taken 95000 points out of my account that I didnt even use 170 worth.
She called another cashier over to try to fix but either knew how to do it.
Can you please figure out how to get my 45000 points back?
thank you

unauthorized debit card use
In April I was charged $85.00 in my bank statement for a charge I did not purchase (so long reconcile my checking statements because of back surgery). I shopped at Goodwill in Springfield, TN today and I asked about it... they said that had nothing to do with accounting. Goodwill in Springfield, TN was were I was charged the $85.00. Talking with the manager, she told me that a card number could be entered without the actual card and no pin number... just signature. I believe a credit card skimmer was used to get my number. I only pay cash for purchases... never credit/debit card. What can be done about it. I am sooooo very upset for an unauthorized by this charge.

customer service
To the corporate staff of shoppers, concerning store [2626]
my name is mr. brown, I am writing you, concerning an incident I observed on the evening of 4/07/2016 about 7:15pm. the store was very busy, there were a lot of people shopping and there was only three registers open. needless to say, the lines went from the registers down the aisles of the store. I stood in the line for over an hour. suddenly a woman appeared in the office door. there was another employee (female) in line ahead of me, I did not get her name. however she was wearing a hairnet. the woman in the door made inquisition of the employee in the line. giving the immediate impression of a person of authority. the employee responded “i'm taking a 15 minute break”. the employee in the door then ask the employee in the line, “what time did you get hear?” the employee in line responded 5:30, then inquired about a second employee, whose name I did not get. the employee in the doorway then replied that the employee in question arrived at 2:30. she then proceeded back inside and closed the door. the employee in line then scurried to the front of the line paid for her items and disappeared into the store. about two minutes later another employee (female) exited the office and opened another register and began to ring customers out. after checkout, returning home, putting my groceries away, I found myself, troubled by what I witnessed. so I returned to the store and spoke with mr. casey asst. store director. he informed us (my wife and i), that the employee in the doorway was ms. carolyn mitchell and that she was a cashier. he also mentioned that they were short of staff, due to several employees calling out. had I been a secret shopper, my report would have included gross violations with regard to the code of conduct and ethics practiced. the negligent disregard not to address the over crowdedness by opening additional lines, other than the one that was eventually opened. addressing another employee openly with no regard for confidentiality or privacy coworker to coworker. failure to alleviate the store's volume in a timely, safe and efficient manner. as a participating customer I expect courtesy, cleanliness, security, fairness, efficiency, and the ability to shop in a modest environment.
in closing, I in no way write this letter with any malicious intent. nor do I seek to see anyone terminated. only that the policies and procedures put in place to insure such a shopping environment be practiced and acknowledged at all times. and that supervision be administered with a level of human decency and consideration thus insuring great customer service and a delightful shopping experience. thank you for your time, all corporate staff and whosoever should read this letter. may god bless all your future endeavors.
concerned customer,
mr. brown 04/08/2016
I'm not sure that I will continue shopping at your establishments unless I can be reassured that the Customer Service will be improved along with the merchandise.
customer service and food disatisfaction
To Whom It May Concern: Today 12/10/15 has been the worst experience I have ever encountered at my neighborhood Shoppers Food Warehouse Store located in Clinton, MD. It all started with the young man that was I thought was acting as a front-end assistant. Now just to give you a little bit of history about my self. I have done retail chain food work for...
