Hello,
I'm a mother of 6 children and one on the way .. the pharmacist at your antigonish location gave me the rudest welcoming and talked down to me as if I didn't understand anything on November 12th 2017, I visited our emergency room with my 2 year old son due to an asthma attack, we jst found out he has asthma that evening, I took his script to shoppers to be filled an I reassured her that I didn't have a medical plan an than INAC would cover his medication's just like any other aboriginal as she demanded me to pay 156$ Because he didn't have a medical plan, an wasn't understanding that indian affairs would cover his medication, he needed that medication to open his air ways to breathe ... she greeted me rudely, talked down to me as if I didn't understand anything, people before me we're greeted nicely an everything, not sure if it was because I was a different race but the rudeness wasn't acceptable at all, I took my sons script back and went to haliburton the next day and they filled his script up without troubles an understand the whole indian affairs thing, this isn't the first time ive have trouble with shoppers though, back in 2013 I nearly lost my newborn son, due to RSV an pneumonia and needed his medication as well as we were discharged from a hospital 4 hours away, an they refused his medication as well as hes a new born an clearly covered under my indian status card number..
anyway all being said your pharmacy should be educated better an know that indian affairs cover aboriginal medications and majority of places let medication go under the mothers status card number until you receive their's ... feel free to email me back [protected]@gmail.com
expire roc
Purchase on JUly 15/2017 over $200+ of ROC product 2-Daily Anti ageing sunscreen 50ml 2-Anti-Wrinkle Cream 40ml checking on expire dates and came across that all but 1 of my products had expired in oct and nov 2017 less then 3 months, drove to the 2871 livingstone ave manager advice is a normal process they put on sales but do not advice customer that the product will expire.
Often items that are about to expire are put on sale. As long as the item has not expired already, it is the customer's responsibility to check the dates and make sure they will be able to use the product in time prior to purchase. Three months is not very long, but it is certainly long enough where they shouldn't have to warn you in advance.
flu shot
On November 5th 2017 I got a flu shot at 2:00pm and has been in severe pain in my arm since. On wed. Nov. 8th I had to go to my doctor cause I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it. The pain is in my whole left arm, shoulder, left side of my neck . Before the shot there was nothing wrong with my arm . My doctor had to put me on Pain pills called Gabapentin andRobaxacet so I could get some relief of pain but it didn't help much. I was unable to sleep or do anything but cry. It is now over two weeks and my arm is still in pain. I have got the flu shot for years and never went through this before. I believe the Pharmacist who gave me the shot hit a nerve in my arm or something. Her name is Theodora Voicu at the Stratford Shoppers Drug Mart . I will never get the flu shot again for fear that I will go through this again.Store # 1444
Unfortunately unless your doctor can confirm it, you have no proof that anything the pharmacist did directly caused the extreme pain you are feeling. Personally I have noticed that some years flu shots I receive hurt more than others. Regardless I hope you feel better.
staff behaviour
Polo park Winnipeg Shoppers drug mart
7:30pm Tuesday eve.. Mov 14, 2017
2 cashiers working were arguing loudly with each other while customers lined up waiting for service.
These 2 women were yelling back and forth... saying repeatedly.." YOU are MAD!"I Am NOT MAD! You are the one who started it!... and the argument continued ...horrible behaviour and a terrible example for my 13 yr old grandson whe sees this as how employees behave!
customer service
I live in Kamloops. At the northshore location 750pm Sunday Nov 19. I was treated like garbage by Tyler your customer service rep after asking for a bag. He stated you need to pay 5 cents for it. I said sorry I had just used debit and he could have reminded me before I paid. He responded with well you should know when you come into a store you have to pay for things. I was disgusted by this. I had just spent my money at this store obviously a paying customer. As I walked away he called me a [censor]. Is there no employee standards ?
pharmacy
I called the Pharmacy at Shoppers Drug Mart on 885 W Broadway on Thursday November 16, 2017 regarding a medication that needed Special Authority. The pharmacist I spoke with said he would fax over the form for my GP to sign. I then faxed over the prescription with the note regarding the SA form at 1300. Called the Pharmacy to ask if they have received the fax which had gone through on my end no problem. The pharmacist said they didn't receive anything which was clearly a lie. I sent a fax again. When I called back they said they received it this time. I asked about the note regarding the SA and they said they were working on it. This whole process took an hour. Called back at around 1500 and the same pharmacist I have been speaking with now claims I needed to speak to the same pharmacist that I had spoken with in the beginning to process the SA. This is complete bogus as I work in the Health field because anyone of them can call in for the SA. The next time I called back to check on the status of my medication they put me on hold, then hang up on me. They were clearly scanning my number. Called back and then again hold then hangs up on me. Extremely rude customer service and they clearly do not know how to do their jobs. My issue is the store as a whole does not practice customer service even though it is a service industry.
service
The Assistant Pharmacist Manuel at the location at The Albion Mall was rude, impatient and unprofessional.
I had a question when no one else was at the intake or cashier. First he ignored me then when I tried to get his attention his answer was "YES" as he rolled his eyes. I advised him that I had a question about allergy meds.
He told me to wait but in a rude condescending manner. I waited and he did not move from the back counter.
I ended up leaving the store.
service
I purchase many items from the cosmetic department. I do find the workers lack knowledge in that particular area. They do not seem too interested with the customer's demands. I also shop at another Shoppers location, they give many samples of perfume and skin care.very happy about that store. The store in Amherstview never never gave me one sample no matter the amount of skincare i purchase. I think they should take care of their customers.
Free samples are not something you're entitled to.
gift basket draw for a charity donations (product inside with smell of mold and expiry date)
got a gift basket from cosmetics department "25 great lakes Dr. Brampton" returned for a feed back on their account because it was not the basket that was on the counter when a purchase the tickets...the girl name Jennifer was really nice about it and she said she will tell the manager "Chanelle Vasvik"service she didn't bother to call me back so i call her back asking for some explanation to what would had happened ...(am a really very long time loyal customer of shopper but this really change my opinion of your customer service)she said come i would give you some goodies...when in to talk to her she told me do some shopping and come back i will see you...went shopping went back she was gone left few samples for me with her employee still "JENNIFER" My point is she could have only talk to me and give me some of what ever explanation not let an employee(which again she did a better job than her manager apologizing for something she didn't cause)didn't want anything free was just trying to give her some feed back...i was in customer service for a long time at fortinos ...for sure i would appreciate a feed back to keep my customer happy and returning..but is for you to decide if i did wright or wrong to tell you this..maybe i should just keep it to myself...and be disappointed... opiumcard #[removed] so you can see that i am a regular ...regards [removed]
Your complaint is very hard to read due to your grammar and run-on sentences. While the manager probably should have apologized, they went above what was necessary by giving you some free items. There really isn't anything else they can or should do.
opening hours of quispamsis store new brunswick
My daughter is a pharmacist at your Quispamsis store in New Brunswick which has just gone under renovations. She tells me that the store will now be opened til midnight even though the newly expanded cosmetic section will close at ten o clock. That in itself does not make sense. But my concern for her and the other two staff that will be left in this size of a store for two hours and containing drugs and also being the only store in the whole neigbourhood to be open is truly a security/safety concern. Even the Tim Hortons which is close by and open but only has drive through service as the store is locked. I am trying to convince my daughter to refuse under safety concerns to cover this extra time. Also I wish to point out that this week a gas bar/convenience store was held up at gunpoint fortunately the two men involved were caught. I am Terry Mc kenna [protected].
customer service
The date of the incident: Monday November 13, 2017
I went to the Shopper Drug Mart, at 4000 Highway 7, Woodbridge location to purchase a beauty product, see photo attachment. I have experienced very poor quality of customer service.
When I went to the cash register to pay for the beauty product; "Avene Hydrance", the female cashier was not being courteous; but rather rude. She did not greet me with courteous; but only to stare at me very impolitely.
The female cashier then scanned the beauty product. She has accidentally scanned the item twice (I only went to purchase one beauty product). So, I said to her: "I think you have scanned the item twice, I only have one." She replied" NO, I didn't."
When she finally looked at the computer screen and realized she did scan the item twice by mistake, she did not even apologize for her mistake. She went on and said: "Optimum card?" I gave her my Optimum card and the money to pay for the beauty product.
When she handed back the change to me; she, who was very rudely, put the change on the counter, along with the Optimum card. She did not say anything; not even "Thank you", then went to serve the next customer.
As a long-term customer at Shopper Drug Mart, I have been treated poorly, uncivil and rude behaviour by the cashier is absolutely unacceptable. I demand an explanation from Shopper Drug Mart Head Office.
customer service
Called local shoppers drug mart to contact canada post regarding an expected parcel on Nov 13th to be put on hold for 23 mins to finally get someone to pick up and say they could take my number and call me back ...why does the line up get more sinority then me, it wasn't even the post office that picked up . I am very displeased with this experience .
employee name is Paula and the one who answered the phone was a Nathan who claimed to be store owner, which i think is unlikely as he mentioned it ringing in pharmacy, also not pleased about that .
dr. ho’s pain therapy system
My cousin went to shoppers drug mart in sudbury to gift me this product. Its a 24 hour store. The TENS product was not up to the mark and used for only 2 to 3 hours for 2 days and was not curing any pain along with the physiotherapy sessions. Everything was intact i kept to return it to the SDM and they told me that they cannot accept it. The cashier was not dealing with the situation properly and they were not good in service. I bought it on 22nd october and today is November 12th. Its just 20 days and they are telling me to return to manufacturer and manufacturer is telling me to return to the retailer. So i am pissed of even after the response from the manufacturer. They told me that costco, amazon and other places where the customer buys they would take back but they have to give back to the original retailer. Zero customer service and no kbowledge for the shoppers employees selling the product in situation like this.
poor customer service
Sunday Nov 12/2017
There were only 3 customers in the store, the cashier was about 4 feet from her register ranting in (i think chinese) out loud with a friend...this went on for a while to the point where I just walked out.
Im sure an organization like Shoppers Drug Mart can do better than that...I hope.
What I saw was ignorance, lack of customer service and/or the ability to maintain any type of standard that customers look for these days.
There are many good people out there that understand the importance of front line customer Service, Shoppers Drug Mart clearly chose the wrong person.
customer service of emma and jenna
On November 12th, 2017 at 5:58 pm I purchased a few items at the Shoppers Drug Mart. I was there specifically to purchase some CDs to burn a music CD. I didn't want to purchase the wrong kind and so I asked the woman at the check out counter if I had the right item to burn a CD and have it play on a CD player. She told me it looked like the CDs her dad used to use in when he used to burn music CDs. It seemed like that information wasn't reliable so I told her that if it didn't work, I would be returning the item. Please note, there was basically nobody else in the store, there was no line ups and she could have taken more time to get me the correct answer.
When I got home I tried to make the music CD on the Maxwell DVD-R ($14.99 CAD) but it didn't work. And so I left to return the product along with the bag and the receipt.
When I got to the store, I went to the same counter. The original woman that gave me the wrong information was there, along with another new woman that I hadn't spoken with.
That new woman told me I would not be receiving a refund because the product was opened. I explained that I was given wrong information and the original check out woman denied having told me the product would work. "But I told you I would be returning the item if it didn't work". The employee denied any responsibility in providing me with accurate information or that she needed to explain their return policy when I told her I was going to bring it back if it didn't work. "You never said you were going to open it", she said.
The other woman said I could return on Monday and speak with the manager. I told her, no, I wanted my refund tonight. I did not want anymore run-around or "double talk". That is when she threatened to call the police. This is completely unacceptable.
I then had to make another trip to London Drugs. The employees at that store were very helpful in making sure I had the right product. "We guarantee this will work, but if for ANY reason it doesn't, please come back and you will receive a full refund at ANY time. They were absolutely horrified by my story about what happened at Shoppers Drug Mart and so am I.
I expect an immediate response, an apology and a full refund. If I am not satisfied with the response, I will be blasting my experience all over social media. Please note I have thousands of followers locally and internationally due to my business in INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE and property management.

I thought this was a legitimate site. Instead this site has been taken over by losers and trolls. Pathetic people pretending to be me. Weighing in on other people's problems. Anyways, my situation has been dealt with very successfully once I went above the workers in question. Never should have happened in the first place.
Also, I would never private message anyone on this site. You mean nothing to me and you are not worth my time or anyone else's. I won't be visiting this site again, so if someone writes back claiming to be Shelley Bonwick, rest assured its not THEE Shelley Bonwick.
Via Con Dios
Intelligence has nothing to do with me wasting my time trying to figure out a trolls motivation for replying on this forum.
Why do you stick your nose in other people's business? If it is not trolling, then why do it? If you are not Emma or Jenna, then you have even bigger psychological problems then being a lousy employee.
What is your interest in my parents? In me? Why are you on this forum reading other people's complaints? Get a life.
Why should I care if you believe me? I never asked you to believe me, and I don't care if you do or don't. Nobody on this forum will EVER care about your views on corporal punishment, parenting, violence or discipline.
I don't care where you are from, and neither does anyone else. You won't even identify yourself by name or job and its just pathetic to be reading other peoples complaints, never mind taking the time out to reply to them, over and over.
Then you're just a busy-body rude troll. Get a life. You obviously don't have one or you wouldn't be hiding behind a keyboard. Identify yourself and quit advocating violence, bullying and name calling. First you bring up the fact that my international clients would have no interest in Shoppers, a Canadian company, and then you act all sanctimonious because you yourself is from the US and I didn't automatically know! What kind of job do you have that allows you to insert your unwanted responses to all these companies complaints? Actually, I have no interest in finding out anything about you. You're hilarious!
I received my apology and full refund from the manager at the local shoppers and the head office in Ontario.
Nobody said anything about me throwing a temper tantrum and there is nothing child-like about expecting the service staff to take responsibility for their words and their actions.
Who are you to comment on what happened? Your name must be Jenna or Emma! Put your big girl panties on and enjoy your "retraining" Jenna and Emma!
Is it just me or does Shelly Bonwick seem immature. She makes rude posts to others, claims she did not write them. She accuses other posters of being Emma or Jenna, What are the chances of either one of them seeing her posts? Then she claims people who disagree with her are trolling. She does not want you to reply unless you take her side. But this is a public forum and people can comment. She is real stupid and immature.
The poster commented above that she used profanity and threatened the employees. A situation that definitely warranted authorities in my opinion.
I felt somewhat sympathetic towards your experience until I read your updates. If you didn't want the opinions of others, you should not have posted on a public consumer complaints website. There is also no reason to be unnecessarily rude just because you disagree with others.
You never felt sympathiic towards me so don't lie.. Also I bet you are either emma or jenna, why else would you and all your loser friends be interested in my story. I admit that I was rude to them. I did use profanity an said we would settle this outside. I told them that I would get my boyfriend to deal with them. And they asked me to leve the store. I refused and they threatened to call the police on me. This other customer I wonder if she knows jenna or emma (You should know since you were one of them) she told me I was out of line, and I told her to mind her own business. If you felt sympethic to me you would not have threatened to call the police when I refused to leave. Why do you trolls come on the internet to harass others. Stay off my post emma or jenna or I will have you fired.
Some of my comments were deleted because this site is poorly ran and allows people to harass others you pathetic loser. I would not be surprised if you were Jenna or Emma. Well guess what I am taking you to court for threatening to call the police on me.
I am not the one being rude. This is my blog and I can say whatever I want so why not shut the fudge up. This is my blog and if I want to be rude to you then whatever. Too bad this does not allow profanity and all my posts were deleted. THey have babies running this site.
Again...this is not me. As if!
Not me. Get a life. Losers...
I live in the United States and have never been to a Shoppers Drug Mart in my life. However if it gives you comfort to assume someone can only disagree with you if they are the individuals in question, then I'm glad to give you solace.
Having read the additional details you just provided, I would have 100% called the police as well and then had you banned from the store. It is private property and they have the legal right to do so. If you have ever worked in retail then you should know that that sort of behavior is not tolerated nor should it be.
This is not your blog nor is it a blog at all. It is a public consumer complaints website. As a user on this website, you are required to follow the terms and conditions and that is why your posts are being deleted.
You cannot take someone to court for threatening to call the police. That is a right people have, especially when being threatened like you admitted to doing.
not me. Fake post.
Not me. Fake post. Get a life people!
Not my reply. People need to get a life. Losers pretending to be me.
FYI: none of my actuals posts have been deleted. Some very sad individuals are taking the time to post stuff pretending its me. Some real messed up people on this board. Keep moving. Nothing to see here, people. Keep it moving. Keep it real.
If someone is accessing your account, why not change your password?
Yeah because your international "followers" are going to be a BIG help with a Canadian business 😂😂
Shut up. NO one asked for your opinion.
Telling me that I am wrong is trolling. Why would they be interested in my blog if they were not Jenna or Emma. Also this is not kindergarten so I can be rude if i want. This is my blog so shut up loser.
This is not me. Whomever it is pretending to be me is pathetic.
Again, this is not a blog, and by using this website you have agreed to follow the terms and conditions set by the site operators.
not me
not professional service
Hi There,
I just really disappointments with manners and professionalism of supervisor Hamid (my apology If spelling of name is wrong) of Shoppers Drag Mart that locates on 390 Queens Quay West, Toronto, ON, M5V 3A6
Today (17/11/08) again I was charged two times for product.. (Good for me I checked bill)... I'm really tired of that... on my question why it's happened again with me Hamid said go to another shop...
I hope other customers don't have experience like me a lot, beside, Hamid said it's not big deal... my question why people have to be served without satisfaction
Thank you for your time
Regards,
Galina Vinogradova

ignorant postal customer service!😡
Tuesday November 7, 2017 (last night) my boyfriend and I took a wrapped parcel to SDM Market Mall Saskatoon SK Post Office with the plan of seeing how much it would cost to ship out by regular parcel shipping and the young red haired girl was very helpful and measured it 30x37x37 and 2.04kg and entered the ZIP code to find out that it would cost just over $60 to send as is, we all thought that was expensive so we asked if we wrapped them individually would that make a difference in costs so the girl measured 15x18.5x18.5 and 1.02 kg and re entered the ZIP code to find a way better option of just over $16 each piece. So we inquired about the tax and it was said there's no tax going to the US... and then we said so just to clarify we can save almost $30 just by wrapping them individually and she said yes because it goes by the size and the weight. So we agreed and took the parcel home and this morning I rewrapped them both and waited at the same SDM in Market Mall Saskatoon SK for it to open only to be looked after by an older lady with glasses who when I mentioned we were in last night and was told these dimensions and weight that she responded by saying well this is what it is and that she worked last night so I never came Tuesday as if I'm a liar or an [censor] when we sold the items on eBay Monday night I got them from storage Tuesday morning and wrapped them Tuesday evening before going to this SDM with my boyfriend and a nice helpful young girl with bright red hair helped us in the post office and an Asian lady was on cash at the front so yes I may have a cold but I'm not oblivious or delirious besides check the cameras and u will see us. My point is how can one person quote us a price last night and so we rewrap them individually to accommodate the shipping criteria and I bring it back to the same location and now I'm hearing it's almost $45 each and no cheaper option...seems kinda strange so I inquired when the young red haired girl is working again and apparently tonight at 5-9pm so I will go back when she's on shift and I do expect to have them sent for the quoted price of $16 each whether or not your associate was in error or not then SDM will just have to take the loss.
service complaint - horribly bad service hurontario and egliton location
I have taken the time out of my busy schedule on two seperate occations. Yesterday at around 10:30 I went to the Hurontario and Egliton location to receive money from MoneyGram and was greeded by an extremely rude post office worker who refued to give me the transfer because of of my last names was missing. As it turned out it was actually done propery and her system had the error. Instead of offering to verify it she literarly told me to leave. This morning I stopped by again, and the system was down. The other attendent told me that this isn't her fault and htat moneygram has been having these computer issues and told me to come back again. This would be the third time. I will never go there again!
On my way out I wanted to pay for a syrop I picked up for my daughter and the line was long, so I asked if there is another cashier available. One was standing right there doind inventory and told me she can't help me because she's busy. I asked her if the inventory was more important than serving the client who is actually paying her bills and giving her the job she actually has.
Pls see this as a formal complain. I will be going with this to the news.
misleading
Nov 1, 2017 I went to Shoppers Drug Mart to purchase cough syrup. I saw $10.49 LIFE BEAND (LB) incl gst $11.01 on sale. I bought it. Went home, checked my recept, they charged me $15.21 incl gst. Next day, I went back there to take picture. It was stock neatly and orderly on the same shelf with the same price tag $10.49 LB 250ML Exp Mucus P to deceive customers to buy it thinking it was on sale. When you go to pay, you will pay regular price $14.49 incl gst $15.21. The barcode number ending 51 on the price tag is one number different from the box barcode 50. Today i went there, ask for my money back. The supervisor, Rosalie, told me that the cough syrup box barcode is not the same with the price tag barcode. I told them that the item should have the correct price tag where it should belong. They blamed the customers for putting that cough syrup on the wrong section. Common sense is that customers will not arrange the same items neatly and orderly in the same row on the same price tag. She does not even admit that they did wrong. She wants me to think that i picked the item which the customer left on the shelf where the wrong price tag was.
From now onward, i will be cautious to shop at Shoppers Drug Mart. The item which they put on price tag on sale price is actually not on sale. When you go to pay, you will pay regular price. Some customers have health issues to read tiny numbers on the barcode, no vehicle to go back coz they take a bus or etc.
customer service
I just bought a game from your location in Merivale Mall in Ottawa on November 1, 2017 between the times of 12:00 and 13:00. A manager helped me with the purchase. I cannot say what her name was, because I didn't notice any name tag on her. During the purchase she imposed on me the new self service system that I wasn't interested in using and then she imposed an e-bill. I asked her to remove the e-bill. I told I didn't want it and she refused to do so. I felt that she didn't care about my needs as a customer and I felt a bit intimidated by her implication that I have to received an e-bill. I hope this is not part of a new store policy. I refuse to receive any junk mail that can be avoided. I'm also fully aware that I can cancel any online subscriptions, but I shouldn't have to do it every time I buy something in one of your stores.
