I purchased the product and right out of the box I noticed it has burn marks and dust on the plastic case so I went to the store to return it. Store would not accept it because I had opened it. an elderly friend (with no phone/computer) has had numerous issues and errors with her prescriptions. her scrips have been missing pills which she does not realize until she gets home. or else they tell her, her script will be ready at a certain time and when she goes there they tell her to come back another day or time. being elderly with mobility issues this is extremely onerous for her. also they continually run out of her insulin and she has to call around to other pharmacies to have it filled and then arrange for someone to pick it up for her. these are common drugs that even my tiny mom and pop pharmacy has - a large pharmacy like this not having life saving drugs is a disgrace. and making an old woman with a walker come back time and time again to get other script shows a disgusting lack of concern for their clients. if she were more mobile she would go to another pharmacy but she is stuck in having to go there. The Shoppers Drug Mart in question is at St. Clair West and Bathurst St. in Toronto. This has to be the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with.

I went to the shoppers at 7322 king george blvd, I wanted to post something so need to go the post office in the shoppers drug mart. The cashier named ‘Rashminder’ was very disrespectful and was using very bad attitude toward the customers she even yelled at one of the elderly couple who were having trouble using the post service. Covid-19 rapid antigen test results
Today (May 23) my mother, husband and I went to the Avondale Brampton Shoppers location to get Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Tests. We are all travelling to the U.S. tomorrow. I made the appointment online and received both text and email reminders. After the tests, we pointed out that the patient information (first, middle, last names) for all of us did not match our passport. There didn't seem to be much concern about this but the changes were made while we waited an additional 20 minutes. Now almost 5 hours later, I have not received the results by text or email. Fortunately I have a scanner and created the documents to upload for our flight check-in. I find this experience to be very unsatisfactory considering a cost of $120. There must be much better attention to detail. All the necessary information was provided when I made the appointment online, and yet it was not reflected in the paperwork. And why did i not receive a pdf files of the results considering you had my mobile number and my email address? Air travel is very difficult as it is and at this point I would have assumed that Shoppers would be much better at making it an easier experience,

Shoppers Drug Mart sent text messages to my phone. It was a new phone number. I did not give it out. No one has my number. I did not give SDM authority to send me text messages as I have to pay for them. In fact they don't even know it is my number. I now have a bill from my phone company and SDM refuse to pay the bill. It is not my bill. It is their bill caused by them. This is no different than any company sending something to your house, that you did not ask for and getting billed for it. This is theft. I have filed with Better Business Bureau but Shoppers Drug Mart don't care and won't do anything about it.
Desired outcome: I want them to pay their bill. It is NOT my bill. It was forced upon me.
They paid me in the form of Optimum points. This was done through the messenger on facebook. It took a long time for this to be resolved. I first notified them April 8/22 and they finally did something about it on May 3/22. But I had to go through a lot. And the Better Business Bureau had contacted them as well.

First the item was not as pictured on your website. Was not at all what I wanted or needed.
The item was returned exactly as your policy states, original box, sealed. It was in pristine condition . I told to your customer service agent by telephone just now, you need to put a disclaimer on your electronics prior to submitting the purchase on all electronics so that customers are aware of your return policies. If you say that the electronic item cannot be opened as I did I opened it only and looked at the camera did not use it, then it should be a disclaimer that once the box is opened you cannot return it. If I would’ve seen this I would have never ordered online. To me this is unjust practice, basically you are defrauding the customer because you’re forcing them to keep an item that they do not want. Is this really customer service? Had I known this prior to ordering online I would’ve never ordered online I would’ve gone into the store and looked at the camera to see whether or not it is suitable for me. Unfortunately you are saying that your company does not allow this practice to actually see the product. This is a total buyer beware’s scenario which you are unjustly putting onto your customers. I suggest that you speak to management and re-design your online purchase website to add a disclaimer for unknowingly customers that they will not be able to return electronics if they open the box. I found this very inappropriate customer service practice. I did not use the product I only opened to look at it. I find this almost a defrauding circumstance in my opinion. I want a full refund.
As I stated previously the manager at the store refused to take my camera back to the store she told me that I must send it by mail to the online part of the company. She did not want to deal with this return on this Monday after the holiday.

She is the most rude person I have ever met she doesn’t listen to my problem and reply rudely, she was rejecting my proof of residence again and again I have been there 2 times and she called me 3rd time now with other proof im showing her everything she is not listening to me, I dont know if she is a racist, she is doing purposely.
Very bad and rude behaviour from her side, she dont know how to talk to people calmly

On Feb 1st 2022, I placed an online order with Shoppers Drug Mart that was roughly the value of $150. This order was placed during "Points Days" so that I got extra mileage on any optimum points I redeemed. I redeemed 90k optimum points for a total discount of $110, leaving a balance of $40.78 to go onto my credit card. Because of problems with Canada Post delays and then losing my package, I never ended up receiving my order, and contacted SDM in order to initiate a refund. This first contact occured on Feb 21. The agent I spoke with looked up my order, and said that the refund would be processed within 48hrs, but that it could take 5 business days before I saw the refund. I waited for over a week, and didn't see anything, so I contacted SDM again and spoke to another agent regarding my refund, quoting the same ticket number. This second agent looked up my ticket, and then assured me that the refund had been initiated, but that no one had processed it yet. She apologized for the delay, assured me that it would be proccesed soon, and offered to gift my account with 5000 optimum points as a "goodwill gesture". I said ok. It was not until March 8 that I finally received the money refund onto my credit card. I never received the specified goodwill gesture 5000 points, and I did not receive a refund for the 90k optimum points that I redeemed for the order. I contacted SDM customer support a third time to explain that I was still waiting for my points to be refunded. They apologized, said that points refunds typically take a bit longer, usually 1-2 weeks. They said that the issue would be escalated and someone would contact me directly. On April 5th, I received an email response from someone from SDM online support team, again apologizing for the delay, reassuring me that I would receive the points, but this agent claimed that points refunds take 2-3 weeks (not the 1-2 weeks the previous agent claimed). At the time this agent contacted me, I had already been waiting for my points refund since early March. It is now April 19 and I have still not received this promised refund.
Desired outcome: SDM needs to fix this. This is absolutely abyssmal customer service, and they have dropped the ball at every single stage of this process.
I also had a bad experience. I shopped for $90 and didn’t get 20k bonus points because I didn’t open the “app”. Very poor customer service!

Your website says you offer walk-in vaccines. I have just visited two sites (Westfalen in Hamilton and across from McMaster university) and called the 24 hour location on concession street last night. My travel date got moved earlier and I need to get it done today. Only the pharmacist in the location by McMaster university was kind enough to explain she didn’t have an assistant and that’s why she couldn’t. The other locations just said “no”. I ended up going to a Rexall. Please talk to your staff about making the vaccine more easily accessible.

I have been waiting for items for over a month and when asking the representatives of that particular department where or when products are in fact coming in.
You don't know you stated because your ordering process is a failure you stated to me.

Pharmacy not filling re-fills on prescriptions. Have always gotten 3 months refills at a time, now only giving one month.
They are also sending e-mails saying that they are filling drugs that I did not ask for and have not used for a very long time.
New ownership, 20+ folks in line at pharmacy.
Have private insurance and for 40+ years have always gotten 3 months at a time. What is happening?
Only one pharmacist on duty who is threatening to quit within customer's hearing.
My insurance company has already called them for charging for drugs that are covered by them. They have stopped charging, but now will only give one month at a time.
These are life saving drugs and necessary.
Desired outcome: Want two months more of my Sertraline. 100mg x 4 per day. 60x 4= 240 pills missing.
Rude cashier
Why is good customer service so difficult? There are many things we can do to inspire more caring among customer service employees.
For quite awhile now (years actually), I’ve been waiting patiently for one particular cashier, Renee (spelling?), to be pleasant and helpful. I may only visit this store less than 5 times a year for the simple reason that I don’t need to subject myself to rudeness by the staff. I absolutely dread going into this store, knowing full well that I will be treated with indifference. Why do I put myself through this disrespect?
With this particular employee/cashier, there’s no ‘Please’, no “Thank you’, or exchange of pleasantries, polite conversation or attentiveness. There’s not a mention to, ‘Have a Nice Day’ or ‘Enjoy your day’. Often I get berated. If you’re their Manager, don't assume your employees care. Perhaps creating a clear customer service vision might give them clear direction. Talk about service constantly so they know it's important! And, work like crazy to clear obstacles out of their way so employees feel confident that they can do a great job. It does take an extreme amount of extra work to create a quality experience for every customer. This particular employee/cashier has been around for awhile and should know better.
Kindness, effort, patience, attentiveness, emotional intelligence and especially the ability to use positive language are traits that requires cultivation in most people and yet again, especially this particular woman, either needs some coaching and training on her people skills or simply a refresher OR better yet, she should retire/quit if she’s that grumpy to everyone!
Specifically, yesterday, Tuesday, April 12, I approached the till with an armload of items and mentioned to this cashier, Renee, that I had my Optimum card and another coupon on my phone to show her. INSTANTLY, she barked, put your card and coupon over here, meaning over the scanner. Well, I instantly did not do as she said, because as I said, I had an arm load of items and just wanted to put them down. Again she barked, put your card and coupon here. Then she kept saying the same thing over and over again. Put your coupon and card over the scanner. Put your coupon and card over the scanner. I told her that I DID NOT need to be berated and simply needed the time to put my things down on the counter before passing my card and coupon over the scanner. ‘Well, you just need to listen”, she says to me. What does that mean? I heard her the first 4 times. I was shaking by the time this unpleasant interaction ended.
With her derogative, demeaning and bullying demeanour, I do not feel that I am a valued customer AT ALL! Her inappropriate behaviour has no place in any store.
That may seem like a lot, but you can't expect employees to care unless you do too. You should take this matter seriously!

Location Shoppers Drug Mart at Cottrell and Highway 50 on April 7, 2022, at around 7:15 PM.
I was at Beauty Boutique and shopping for Quo brand makeup brushes. Two girls were standing there. As I was approaching the brushes, I asked the girls, “Are they similar quality as Sephora brand?” one of the girls answered hurriedly “Oh Yes”. As I was touching / looking at the brushes I said, “they are not the same quality (no good or bad)” The girl who answered my question started laughing loudly while looking at us (me and my husband). I was shocked with her behavior and asked her “What was so funny?” She replied, “what’s your problem we are chatting and laughing”. I was confused because I was still in conversation with this girl. Then with very rude body gesture and aggressive tone she told us “go and continue with your shopping”. During this whole conversation these two girls were either laughing or smiling. Her behavior was very upsetting and inappropriate. I asked her I would like to talk to a manager. She proudly told me that talk to me I am the manager and than she arrogantly told me that her name is SIMRAN KAUR, go complaint I don’t care and wrote her name on a card and handed over to me. I was very Shakey and in tears with her behavior and asked her if there is anyone else, I can speak to. She called another person who was kind enough to listen to me. I was feeling very insulted. We are over 60+ senior citizens, living in Canada over 35 years and never had such incident. I am a regular shopper on this location since 2007. Most of the old store employees knows me by face. I was so Shakey with this unexpected behavior that I left the store without shopping. Some of the other shoppers who witnessed the whole drama, were comforting us and were not happy with her rudeness and inappropriate customer behavior and wondering what type of employees Shopper Drug Mart now a days hiring.

I purchased an electronic item and when I returned it, they said the box was opened. However, the product and box were in good shape and no issues with the box. The top portion had been ripped and fell off when staff was handling it.
Employee (Erin Smith) started to shake her head at me (while I was dealing with the supervisor) calling me rude, difficult and when I asked for her name, she said I’ll write it 10x for you and continue to be ignorant and rude to me. I asked if she could allow me to deal with the supervisor but she continued to interject herself into the conversation, belittling and calling me names.

I went to shoppers in Arnprior Ontario and used the self check out for one bottle of pepto biamol the self checkout required an employee to login with a code for me the employee that was on the cash right next to me served for customers I did not even come to help me after I stood there for 10 to 15 minutes after she heard it speak for assistance and saw the light flashing she still did not help and Continued to serve other customers I will not be going back there again

Gift card purchases
On march 19th 2022 I bought two gift cards from shoppers drug mart in edmonton 6655-178 street k. Laforge pharmacy ltd. I was scammed out of $150 as the cards I bought were tampered and the numbers on the cards did not match to what was on the activation slips. I discovered this when I got home and after checking the balances at home which showed $0 for petro canada and home depot gift cards. I went back to the store the next morning and the staff were completely unhelpful - they told me I was on my own to try and get the money back. I have spent hours sending images of the gift cards and receipts to the vendors, shoppers drug mart customer service and contacting td visa to dispute the credit card charges. So far I have got nothing back and no promises or assurances that I would get my money back. I'm very upset and will never be a customer of shoppers drug mart again.
