Two Men And A Truck International A Cautionary Tale: Unprofessionalism at Its Peak

As someone deeply invested in the moving industry, it pains me to recount the harrowing experience shared by a customer of Two Men And A Truck. The customer detailed a move from Arkansas to Florida that turned into a nightmare. From disrespectful handling of belongings to unfulfilled promises, the service fell far below expectations. The movers' exhaustion, lack of care, and disregard for fragile items painted a grim picture of the company's professionalism. The customer's wood furniture arrived damaged, doors wouldn't close, and a trunk lid was broken off. The lack of accountability and poor customer service left a lasting negative impression. This review serves as a stark reminder of the importance of choosing a reliable and trustworthy moving company for a stress-free experience.

Two Men And A Truck International 1st civilian move, bad experience

This was my first civilian move, I previous moved 4 times with the Military. I think I was spoiled with my Military moves. The Military would contract private moving company and they would come in one day to packed everything and the next day it was put in the truck and moved. They were very careful with my house hold items, hardly ever had an issue, and if there was an issue it was resolve quickly.
With Two men and a Truck it was totally different. They were not careful with my items.
They took apart and reassemble my bed, but did not want to do the same with my kid beds. They said that it was a liability issue, not sure how much water that holds. What I really did not like was the broken items. They broke pieces off my furniture that were easily fixed, but they did not mention it to anyone. They seem to want to hide it to see if they could get away with it. One item was found out by accident and the others by sound it made when the crash it, they did seem to care what was in their way. They just hit it until it moved. Luckily my wife and I were there, I watched two and she watched the other two. Another thing, they made a whole in the wall with the furniture and covered it up with boxes. In addition, they did not cover up my house hold items for protection.
They were not all bad. I said earlier that we had minor repairs, but they came quick to do the repairs. The repair man told me that he is extremely busy, I mention that if it was because the movers keep on destroying the furniture that they move. He just looked at me and smile.
I am not sure to hate them or accept that this how civilian companies are. I will look for another company if I move again and compare the two.

Two Men And A Truck International Charlie, Josh and Rider were so amazing and kind

We had Two Men and a Truck move my grandmothers things from West Valley, Utah up to Roy, Utah after her passing. The guys that showed up were very professional and organized. They were kind and took care of her things like they belong to their own grandmother and were very gentle with her organ that she was so proud of. I can not say enough about how grateful i am that we choose this company to move her things. I would like to mention them by name because i feel that their boss should know that that they have some super amazing employees. A great big Thank you to Charlie, Josh and Rider. Thank you so much!

Two Men And A Truck International Excellent Service

Nick and Brandon with Two Men and a Truck arrived on schedule prepared and very personable. They were professional fast efficient and skilled. They were like machines, expedited the move seamlessly. Nothing was damaged and couldn't have been more accommodating. Nick impressed me with his skill and great attitude consistently. He mentored his partner with respect and patience. Never stopped from 10am til 4 pm. Had such a friendly personable healthy attitude, was infectious. He blew me away with his skill to maneuver a huge washing machine down the narrow stairs and door wall without damaging a thing. Can speak highly enuf Definitely will be using them in the future! EXCELLENT Customer Service! Thanks for everything again, Pat Turnipseed

Two Men And A Truck International Honest about mistakes

We hired two men and a truck to move a rather heavy, and valuable family piano. I called a month in advance and had a lengthy conversation with them about the possibility of success of moving such a heavy item into our 70's style home (narrow staircases). I sent them pictures of the piano and the staircase (with dimensions) and was told it definitely could be done. The day of the move, I was asked to resend the pictures. The crew who came to actually move the piano sounded like they had never seen the previous pictures, and as it turned out, felt unsafe moving the piano up the stairs to our living room. As it was a matter of safety, we agreed to put the piano in our garage instead. This meant we would need to hire a different moving company to complete the job. While we were frustrated about the situation, I must say Eric and his crew (the movers) were very professional about something they obviously couldn't control. We appreciated their thorough explanation and sincere regrets about not being able to complete the job. When the crew left, my husband and I called the company to discuss our complaint. Johnny listened to us and validated our frustrations. He was calm and professional in his approach, and willing to compensate us for the misunderstanding. Businesses are made up of imperfect humans. Sometimes stuff happens. What my husband and I really appreciated about our experience with two men and a truck is that they handled a difficult situation professionally and reasoned with us as they would their own family. I value that in a business and recommend them for one of your own moves.

Two Men And A Truck International No supplies

They promptly showed up at my door and I showed them what needed to be moved. They then said that they were unaware that they were going to need boxes. They also didi not have any paper to wrap my dishes and glass pot lids. They also did not have any markers to label what was in the box and whether or not that it was fragile. I, on the previous night before my move I went and purchased boxes, to help alleviate some costs. They ended up using all my boxes and thank goodness I bought tape or else they would not have any. When storing my dishes I inquired about wrapping them and I was given the "trust me, they will be fine!" Also I kept putting stuff that needed to be stored next to big items and they, the movers, kept moving it away and put in my pile that was staying on the premise. I have a 65" tv that I kept the original box for when I moved. They used the box but half the styrofoam to securely store a TV was left to the side.
So right now I have unlabeled boxes, table side lamps that should have been wrapped, and have no idea what is in my boxes once I finally move to my house.
I am retired US Army and have moved more then the fingers on my hand and this has got to be the worst move I have ever been subjected to. Also there was no accountability as far as what was packed. No little stickers to say what the item is and annotated to make sure that they unpacked everything. When they said they had everything out of their truck they still had items that they handed me.
Estimate quote is: ***.
This estimate clearly states what needed to be brought to pack my belongings.
I will be expecting a response on this matter immediately.

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Experience with Two Men And A Truck: Damaged Items, Sketchy Mover, and Insufficient Compensation

I had a really bad experience with Two Men And A Truck. I had set up two moves and storage for a couple of weeks between them. The first move, moving out of my home, seemed to go well. The guys moved quickly and did a good job. However, the team that moved me into my new home had all sorts of issues from my perspective.

Right at the beginning, the mover told me he had dropped my TV and offered me cash not to say anything. I found this really sketchy, but I told him the price to replace it and showed him online. Then he said I would have to call a manager because he didn't have the cash. I thought, "Alright, stuff happens when moving." But by the end of the move, we had a broken 55-inch TV, a destroyed baby crib, a cooler full of drinks with glass bottles all smashed, broken lamps, a missing broom, a kitchen step stool left on the truck and not returned, my front door damaged, the walls damaged from walking into my new place, my couch looking like it was covered in dirt from the storage unit, and my vacuum missing. Not to mention, the mover was telling me about his drug use and how he doesn't like to drink but likes all the expensive bottles of liquor I had in a box. I was shocked that he opened my boxes to see what was inside.

The mover also proceeded to inform me that all the issues were caused by the first team because they just threw my stuff everywhere in the storage unit, and it took them a long time to load up the truck. I found it suspect that it took them nearly 5 hours to move from their storage unit to their truck but only 3 hours to unload into an apartment up a flight of stairs.

So I called the manager, went over these items, sent pictures, pricing, and filled out everything they asked to replace these items. The manager sent me an email some days later and said they would send me a check for $62 and change. I was furious and insulted that I was looking at over a thousand dollars in damage, and that was the compensation offered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that, so the district manager called me a couple of days later, and we had a discussion about it. He said he would investigate and get back to me the next day. It's been two weeks, and there has been no follow-up. I assume they do not care at this point now that they have my money.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Two Men And A Truck as they will not take responsibility for their mistakes. It was a terrible experience, and I would not want anyone else to go through what I did.

Two Men And A Truck International Mixed Experience with Two Men and a Truck: Impressive Work but Disappointing Theft

The move itself was a long and grueling process, lasting a whopping eleven hours instead of the expected five. However, the moving team remained in high spirits and worked tirelessly to get the job done. We were so impressed with their hard work that we ordered them a pizza and tipped them a generous $300.

Unfortunately, our positive experience was marred by a shocking discovery a few days later. We realized that an unopened Nintendo Switch Lite console that we had stored in our closet had been stolen. We searched high and low for it, but all we found was the empty packaging with the inside torn up. We knew that someone from the moving team had taken it, as we lived in a secure apartment building with controlled access.

We immediately contacted the office and spoke with the operations supervisor. He initially expressed concern and promised to take action, as theft is not something that they tolerate. However, when we followed up with him the next day, he had not done anything and asked for more time. We gave him another day, but he was still unresponsive. We called several times, but he was never available. Finally, on the fourth day, he called us back and told us that his corporate office had advised us to file a police report. We did so, but the officer who took our report warned us not to expect much and suggested that we take civil action.

We were shocked and disappointed that we had paid almost $2,500 for a local move, only to have one of the movers steal from us. We had trusted Two Men and a Truck, a company whose slogan is "Movers who care," but we were left feeling betrayed and frustrated.

Despite this unfortunate incident, we must acknowledge that the moving team did an excellent job with our heavy furniture. However, we would caution anyone using Two Men and a Truck to pack their own belongings if they want to avoid theft.

Two Men And A Truck International Disappointing Experience with Two Men And A Truck: "Movers Who Care" Fail to Deliver on Promises

I recently hired Two Men And A Truck to help me move from New Orleans to Texas. I chose them because they claim to be the "Movers Who Care" and prioritize giving back to the community and exceeding their customers' expectations. However, my experience with the New Orleans franchise was far from satisfactory.

As soon as the movers arrived, they presented me with several forms to initial and sign so they could start loading. They didn't explain anything, just told me to sign and initial. I paid by the hour, so I expected them to start working right away. However, they were constantly on their phones and I had to remind them that I was paying them to work, not mess around on their phones.

I was told that they would shrink wrap all the furniture before they load and be very careful. However, they arrived with no shrink wrap (they said) because their office was closed on Sunday. I had a lot of furniture pads, but they only used a few of them. They didn't pack tightly at all, and I was worried about my possessions being damaged during the move.

When I arrived in Texas and opened the truck, I was shocked at the lack of care in which my possessions were loaded. The group who I hired to unload immediately called their supervisor to see the condition of the load. They started writing down all the damage, but then stopped because just about everything was damaged.

I called the New Orleans office to complain, but their excuse was that I told them (signed a form) stating the property would not be moved from the Louisiana location. However, I clearly told them that I was moving and they even gave me information for Two Men And A Truck in Texas to unload. The device they loaded was not a pod but a truck (with wheels). You would figure Two Men And A Truck would understand the purpose of a truck.

I spoke to Billy, the franchise owner in New Orleans, and he kept saying they had zero liability. I spoke to customer care and sent several pictures of the damages. Their response was that it is up to the franchisee to address this. What is the purpose of having a corporate customer care department if they don't at least care enough to protect the reputation of the company?

Billy did send me a check for $250, but this would not even come close to fixing the damages. His response was "you can either cash it or tear it up." Obviously, at least corporate as well as New Orleans are not "the movers who care." I would not recommend Two Men And A Truck to anyone.

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Experience with Two Men And A Truck: Unreliable, Untrustworthy, and Incompetent

I had a really bad experience with Two Men And A Truck. The guys who came to pack us out were Andrew, Dillion, Max, and Orlando. Andrew did the loading of the truck while the other three moved stuff to the garage. They were friendly and professional and did a great job of getting the safe out of the basement. However, when it came to the furniture, things went downhill fast. I told Andrew specifically that I had plenty of blankets and could get more if needed and to be sure to protect the dining room chairs. But they didn't do as I asked. The chairs, tables, bed furniture are not just scratched, they are gouged. There was no blanket protection on hardly any of the chairs and to make matters worse they stacked boxes and other furniture on the unprotected chairs. They actually took the time to wrap my dryer in a blanket and then in plastic but yet stacked chairs on each other with nothing protecting them. And the boot prints on the leather. I must have asked him 6 or 7 times if he needed more blankets and that I could run to get more, "Oh no we are good." Let the pictures speak for themselves.

When it came time for the bill, it was padded by an hour. They claimed they left their shop at 0800 and took 30 minutes to drive 4.2 miles to the storage unit. We also bought them lunch and they took a 30-minute break and billed us for that as well. They also tried to bill me for a truck that I did not even use or need, but they did eventually remove the truck from the bill. Now Andrew did a great job getting everything into the truck, if he had only taken the time to protect my furniture this review would be entirely different. There is absolutely no excuse for his lack of concern or care for our furniture. Furniture stacked on furniture, boxes stacked on unprotected furniture, bags stuffed on furniture, ceramic pots placed on furniture. Boots prints on the leather. There isn't any amount of money one could pay me to use or recommend this company ever again. They are 100% unreliable, untrustworthy, and incompetent. Even the company that unloaded the truck made numerous comments about how bad this pack job was and how could anyone load furniture unprotected the way they did. I have over 100 pictures of the damage they did. Reach out and I will share them with you.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against using Two Men And A Truck for your moving needs. They are not careful with your belongings and will overcharge you for their services. Save yourself the headache and find a different moving company.

Two Men And A Truck International Worst Moving Company Experience: Two Men and a Truck Doral

Two Men and a Truck Doral was the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. I had to deal with broken items, negligence, unprofessionalism, and admission of truck not having the proper materials. I was told that I did not "buy the additional insurance so there is nothing further to be done" by the operations manager. I received a refund of $360 for over $1000 in damages. I sent pictures and video to the Operations Manager- Julian Montalvo proving all the facts below.

My morning move started with me having to immediately call Julian after the three moving men stated that their truck had not been "packed properly" and they did not have enough packing material to move my items safely. I was told they would "make do" and since we were on a time constraint, they would "make it work". This ended up meaning they used MY bubble wrap but of course this was obviously not enough. I have never heard of the customer having to pay the consequence for a moving company not sending enough wrap, tape, or blankets for a small TWO BEDROOM TWO BATH move 6 miles away! Not to mention they used my STEAK KNIVES to open boxes and cut their materials since they came with one blade among the three movers.

In total, (with pictures and videos to prove to management) I have scratches and dents on furniture they damaged, a broken television, broken ceramics (heavy boxes set directly on top of boxes labels: FRAGILE CHINA/PLATES/CERAMICS/GLASSWARE, carpet stains from their dirty sneakers (brand new carpet installed 24 hours ago), boxes left downstairs and in disarray clearly marked to what room they should go in, heavy furniture set directly on top of clothes that had fallen during their improper wrapping and negligent transport of the bureau (they say you can leave clothes in your drawers but never again!) I am missing two glass shelves; however, remnants of broken glass are on my living room carpet (they clearly broke the glass shelves and discarded of them without me knowing). Lastly and the cherry on top was the smell of alcohol on one of the movers' breath!

An already stressful day made into an unforgettable nightmare by Two Men and a Truck. I think what is the most disappointing is speaking with Julian and being told that he would definitely "take care of everything and make sure he does something extra for the customer service aspect" of my terrible experience. Not only did this end up being false, but his reply was by email and stating that I had not bought the "extra insurance". I had no idea Two Men and a Truck improperly packing their trucks without the necessary number of blankets, tape and wrap have anything to do with a customer purchasing additional insurance!

Two Men And A Truck International Disappointing Experience with Two Men and a Truck: Poorly Trained Movers and Unhelpful Manager

Two Men and a Truck is a moving company that promises to exceed their customers' expectations in value and satisfaction. However, my experience with them was far from satisfactory. I hired them for a short distance move in August, and I was promised three movers due to the heavy furniture I had. But on the day of the move, only two movers showed up.

Although the movers were friendly, they were incredibly careless. They loaded some of our items in large cardboard boxes on a dolly, piling heavy items on top of lighter breakable ones. They assured us that everything was safe, but when we received our things, we found out that this was not the case. We discovered a damaged antique lamp, a broken lamp, a very expensive lampshade with a deep crease in it, bent piece on another lamp, gouges and scrapes on numerous pieces of wooden furniture, a large chip out of the corner of a desk, a rip in the fabric of a dining room bench, a large tear in the bottom of our newer expensive mattress, and a number of other small issues.

We then had to go through a 4-month ordeal of trying to get things fixed through the company. In most cases, they were able to find a repair person to do a reasonably good job. However, our king-sized bed is no longer under warranty because they gouged holes in the mattress. The repair person cut a lousy paper-like cloth and glued it, saying that was the best they could do. When it came to the bench mentioned above, we had to send it back twice. The first time, they patched the once pristine fabric, which was not acceptable. The second time, the fabric was loosely attached to the frame, and the corners stuck out in all sorts of directions. The third time it was fixed, the bench was delivered by Andrew, the store manager, who said the work had been done by professionals. However, the corners still stuck out like noses, and there were two small holes in the fabric. When we pointed this out to Andrew, he refused to even look at the bench and made the comment that they are just movers, not scientists. He became quite intransigent when we tried to get him to help and basically told us too bad. "Some people just can't be pleased." (We had accepted all other repairs)

Overall, this company's movers seem to get pretty good reviews, but in our case, they were apparently very poorly trained and careless. Further, the manager was unwilling to make sure that things were right before dismissing us. If I could give them a rating of less than 1 star, I would have done so. So much for their Mission Statement.

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Moving Experience: Damaged Items, Intimidation, and Poor Service

My move happened in November 2019 and it was one of the worst moves I've ever had. I've moved around the country with no issues, but somehow going 40 minutes away seemed too much for this company. It started with the team leader who started grumbling because we had them do some packing. The packing was haphazard and because of that, we wound up with many items broken. Then as they started delivering items to our new home, they didn't have any more mats and didn't have any padding for the banisters or doors. This led to lots of knicks, scrapes, and scratches to the trim, doors, and drywall as well as dirty white carpeting. FYI- the home had been freshly painted and carpets cleaned before we moved in.

Then when they were bringing in a large armoire that was purchased for $4000, they broke the foot off, and now we have rigged it up so it won't fall over. In order to get the armoire in the house, they took the garage man door off. When they were going back to the old house for another load, they propped it up. Of course, they forgot it was propped up, and the door slammed on the ground, putting a gouge in the wood floors and completely damaging the door lockset beyond repair.

In addition, they randomly left things out on the back patio without telling us in the middle of winter, left about 10% of our household items at the old house, threw anything they delivered later in the evening randomly into the garage, and started to get a very "who cares" attitude late in the day.

To top it off, they broke my 11-year-old daughter's snow globe without telling us. I found out about it when I found broken glass from it on a bookshelf and in the carpet of my daughter's room. The snow globe was nowhere in sight. So later that night, I was lucky enough to clean up broken glass and explain to my daughter how the snow globe, which was a present from her grandmother, was now broken.

Worst of all was Justin, their million-dollar sales club winner, who completely underestimated the job. This added to the stress of his workers because they had a very long day and added to the stress of my family who had to get a young girl to school in the morning. Then as they are telling us that we owe them an additional $1546.18 at 10 PM at night, they pull out the scare tactics. The entire crew stood around my husband in the kitchen as he discussed with Mike the increase in our bill. Mike would not leave our home until we put the entire amount on our credit card. He said to call Brandon, the manager, to have him reduce the bill the next day. Of course, Brandon refused to reduce the bill and was very rude.

So all in all, we got to pay more for a million-dollar salesperson to underestimate our job, for the crew to show up without the proper equipment, for items to be damaged, our home to be damaged, to listen to infighting of the crew on how best to move items, inefficient use of manpower and trucks, and then to be intimidated in our own house. Though we did agree to pay them for some additional time for packing, they decided what was fair for the damages and just credited it back to the card without our agreement. It wasn't nearly enough for the damages that were caused and headaches they caused. The funny part is we paid more for their terrible service than we would've paid for the full-service movers we were going to go with. And just to be decent people, we fed the crew and even tipped them because we felt they were put in a no-win situation.

Don't be fooled by their low estimates and their catchy slogan about "treating you like they would treat their own grandmother." I wouldn't treat my worst enemy this poorly!

Two Men And A Truck International Unprepared and Damaged: My Experience with Two Men And A Truck

I recently had a move with Two Men And A Truck and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. I reached out to the administration but have not received a response or any compensation for the damaged items. I want to share my experience so others can protect themselves and know what they are getting into when working with this company.

Firstly, the move was very stressful and frustrating. We had a lot of items to move including suitcases, boxes, chairs, bar stools, a couch, a small credenza, mattresses, drawers, lamps, and more. We instructed the staff to come equipped with straps to help them lift furniture up the stairs as it was the most efficient and safe way to move it. However, they came unprepared and when we told them they needed straps, they said they were not equipped and proceeded to start without them. This caused a lot of strain on the furniture and was not secure.

Additionally, we instructed the staff to focus on certain furniture and not spend time wrapping my son's room as it was not of much value. However, they did not listen and spent an hour wrapping and securing my son's bedroom furniture, neglecting to properly wrap the rest of the house. As a result, some of our furniture was dirty and there was damage to the credenza and record player.

The move took around 6 hours for 50 items and we had to help them move, load the truck, and unload the truck. Using dollies to hoist furniture up 3 flights of stairs was not efficient and caused strain on the furniture. We had to help them as it was so slow and inefficient.

There was also damage to the walls of my old apartment as the dolly was not being used correctly and many of the articles had no protective blankets on them. We are still waiting for compensation and follow up.

Lastly, safety was a concern as the staff did not have proper equipment or training for the move. They also did not keep social distancing or wear masks properly despite us supplying one worker with a mask.

Overall, I would suggest being cautious when working with Two Men And A Truck. While the staff was polite, they were ill-equipped and overbooked for the job.

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Experience with Two Men and a Truck: Unprofessional, Incomplete Job, and Damaged Property

I had a contract with Two Men and a Truck for a 3 man team, but unfortunately, only 2 were present for the first hour due to staff shortages. One of the team members had to drop off the 3rd member. During the move, the team showed me that the truck was full and they didn't have much room for anything else. The mover called his Manager, Brittany, to advise her of the issue. Once he hung up, I asked "so what's the resolution?" he said "they don't care". Brittany called me highly agitated telling me they can't move my refrigerator because it requires them to take the doors off and they can't do that. I told her that was false because Home Depot removed my front door to bring it in so they still needed to move it. So she wanted to argue about that. At this point, I was upset because she seemed to have an attitude when I was the one that paid her company to move.

Fast forward past the back and forth arguing, my next question was how are you going to move the rest of my items. I sold my house and I need to be out of here by 5 pm? She goes on to say she needs to "see" if she can get another truck out there and how it was gonna cost extra blah, blah, blah... My response is I don't care about the logistics. Brittany and I had words and she decided to hang up the phone in my face. What I kept telling her was I'm not arguing with someone I paid to do a job, so just GET IT DONE! If I wanted to be this involved in the details, I would have moved myself with friends. The point of agreeing to pay a company 1000 plus dollars for a move is to get it done professionally and in a timely manner. Well, none of that happened. So, the other truck never came and a lot of large items including my $3000 refrigerator was still left at the property.

So, I had to make arrangements with OpenDoor to RENT my house back for $213 per additional day. I didn't find another moving company to come out until Monday (the original move took place on Sat), I had to pay them $575 for 3 hours, and I'll add that they were able to move my refrigerator but just removing the front door to the house and I paid OpenDoor an additional $426 to have the home for 2 more days. On Saturday, I informed one of the movers that I wasn't paying the balance of $592 because they didn't complete the job. He called who he needed to call, I tipped him $100, and he left.

Right after he left, I called Amex and had them block any additional charges from Two Men and Truck. After, I was alerted by Amex that the company tried twice to submit the charges I got a call from Two Men and truck no apology just a call informing me that they worked 6 hours and needed to be paid. Whomever, the man was that called me could care less that the job wasn't finished, the extra expenses that I incurred nor the fact that his employee hung up on me. So, he made sure to threaten me with collections and a lawsuit if I didn't pay. I told him I could care less and that I'd be glad to go to court.

However, Two Men and a Truck continued to try to charge my account, and it eventually went through. Right now, I have a dispute with Amex because they said sometimes companies use different vendors (or something like it) to try to process payments, and that's why it was allowed to go through. So, we'll see how that goes. I was going to let that process handle itself until I discovered that my $600 Fuji road bike that 2 Men and a truck moved and threw in my garage has a bent frame, and the back tire is no longer on the bike. It's not rideable at this point. Prior to discovering this, maybe 3 days after the move, I took the shrink wrap off my new Samsung washer/dryer set to find the entire top of the dryer dented. This company is disgusting and should be ashamed of ripping folks off and destroying their property. DO BETTER!

Two Men And A Truck International Disappointing Experience with Two Men And A Truck: Damaged Property and Lack of Honesty

I recently hired Two Men And A Truck to move the contents of my 3BR/2.5B townhouse into storage while I was househunting for a new house. I requested a quote for 3 men, 1 truck, and 4 mattress bags. However, when they arrived, they did not have any mattress bags and informed me that they were backordered. I was disappointed because I really wanted my mattresses and boxsprings to be in those bags, but they did take them off my quote. I was concerned about the condition of my mattresses and boxsprings when I finally got them out of storage.

Two of the men showed up on time, but the third man arrived an hour later and was not very helpful during the move because he was on his phone trying to get another job. They also damaged a wall in my house, but someone did come out and fix it before I had to go to settlement with my buyer. However, they did not inform me that they had damaged some of my belongings until I had my storage units emptied to move into my new house 10 months later.

I hired a different moving company for my move into my new house, which was fantastic and more reasonably priced than Two Men And A Truck. As they were emptying my storage unit, I found property that had left my house in great shape but was damaged in the storage unit. The one item that upset me the most was the top unit on my 3-tier Craftsman Tool Chest. I remembered exactly who had moved it - the man on the phone! He had rolled it out of my garage, even though the crew chief told him not to. I suspect the wheels jammed on a crack and the top unit fell off, based on the damage. None of the three men reported it to me but hid the unit behind other property so I didn't notice it when I went to the truck.

This is the one item I went to their office in New Castle to ask for reimbursement for a new unit and was told by Troy Chandler (maybe a supervisor?) that my contract states only damages reported within 96 hours of a move are covered. If the men had been honest and told me what had happened, I would have been able to report it immediately instead of finding out about it when I finally got out of storage. It cost me $129.99 to buy a new top tier unit, but I was unable to replace it because the particular style of the one I had is no longer available.

Although I only wanted them to compensate me for this one item, they also damaged the base on my freezer unit, and I had a brand new tabletop that was still wrapped in the manufacturer's foam wrapping in perfect condition that was scratched on all four corners and the top with the manufacturer's foam completely shredded. All of these items should have been reported to me by the movers when they damaged them. Troy had the nerve to say that I should have been watching the men move my items, but there were three of them and only one of me. It is ridiculous to expect a client to babysit professional movers.

What I find curious is that most of the bad experiences reported here happened to women. I don't know if the other women had husbands there while the movers were there, but it almost reeks of discrimination against women as if they think we are an easy mark to get away with unprofessional and dishonest conduct. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Two Men And A Truck and would not recommend them.

Two Men And A Truck International A shady outfit - do not use if moving belongings into storage!

I hired them to move the contents of the 3BR/2.5B townhouse that I had just sold into storage while I was househunting for a new house. My quote was for 3 men/1 truck/4 mattress bags. They showed up without any mattress bags and told me they were backordered. If they would have let me know ahead of time, I would have purchased my own from Home Depot because I really wanted the mattresses/boxsprings to be in those bags! They did take them off my quote but I was concerned about the condition I would find them in when I finally got out of storage. Two of the men showed up on time, 1 an hour later and he was worthless most of the move since he was on his phone trying to get another job! They damaged a wall in the house which someone did come out and fix prior to my having to go to settlement with my buyer. However, they did not tell me that they had damaged a few other of my belongings, which I didn't find out until I had my storage units emptied to move into my new house 10 months later. They had packed my storage unit very tightly, high, and right up to the front door. I hired a different company (which was fantastic BTW! And sent me 4 men, a larger truck, and the cost was more reasonable than Two Men And A Truck! As they were emptying my storage unit (which I was able to be right at the door and watch them), I found property that had left my house in great shape but was in the storage unit damaged. The one item that I was really upset about was the top unit on my 3-tier Craftsman Tool Chest (my apologies for the sideways picture but my computer doesn't like photos I send from my phone - the picture below is what it looked like when it came out of my storage unit since this had been hidden way in the back of the unit so there was no way I would have seen the damage). I remembered exactly who had moved it -- it was the man on the phone! He had rolled it out of my garage (even though the crew chief told him not to, that he would move the truck out back, then down my slightly sloped driveway, over a rolling curb, and around the corner of my very bumpy and cracked street! I suspect the wheels jammed on a crack and the top unit fell off, based on the damage! None of the 3 men reported it to me but hid the unit behind other property so I didn't notice it when I went to the truck either. This is the one item I went to their office in New Castle to ask for reimbursement for a new unit and was told by Troy Chandler (maybe a supervisor?) that my contract states only damages reported within 96 hours of a move are covered! Well, if the men had been honest and told me what had happened, I would have been able to report them immediately instead of finding out about them when I finally got out of storage! It cost me $129.99 to buy a new top tier unit but I was unable to actually replace it because the particular style of the one I had is no longer available. Although I only wanted them to compensate me for this one item, they also damaged the base on my freezer unit (looks like they dropped it on the back section, it still works but was not dented when it left my house), I also had a brand new tabletop that was still wrapped in the manufacturer's foam wrapping in perfect condition that was scratched on all four corners and the top with the manufacturer's foam completely shredded (they should have wrapped it with the cellophane - as they should have wrapped all my other furniture with drawers according to my new movers!). All of these items should have been reported to me by the movers WHEN they damaged them! And Troy had the nerve to say that I should have been watching the men move my items! There were 3 of them and only 1 of me! And they were it many places individually... ridiculous to expect that a client needs to babysit what are supposed to be professional movers! What else I find curious is that most of the bad experiences reported here happened to women! I don't know if the other women had husbands there while the movers were there but it almost reeks of discrimination against women as if they think we are an easy mark to get away with unprofessional and dishonest conduct.

I called the location in Omaha, Nebraska on Monday to book two movers to help fill a storage container on Saturday. On Wednesday, when I realized that I did not need the help, I called right away to cancel. The person on the phone that took the cancellation told me that the charge of $100 would "stay with us" and used some other term that I have never heard...

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Experience with Two Men And A Truck: Damaged Property and Unauthorized Charges

I recently hired Two Men And A Truck for a move on April 28, 2023. Unfortunately, my experience with them was not a good one. Firstly, they were 1.5 hours late and took 20 minutes to get going. This was not a great start to the move. To make matters worse, they scratched my floor while trying to move a small couch. It took them 2.5 hours to load a couch, dresser, bed, TV stand, desk, and a TV. They initially refused to take the TV because the truck wasn't full enough, but after I mentioned calling the manager, they agreed to take it.

When we arrived at the new place, they couldn't get the couch in and ended up damaging the walls. They also put the bed together incorrectly and left the dresser in the wrong part of the room, even though I asked them twice to move it. They promised to come back the next day at 9 am to complete the move, but they didn't show up or call. They only called at 9:45 when everyone was gone and begged to come complete the move. At that point, we had already decided that we were not interested in any business moving forward based on the horrible experience.

I spoke to a manager about the damages done, and they acknowledged it and told me a manager would call me. However, instead of contacting me to resolve the issues, they charged me another $156 for "extra time made on the move." I was shocked to see this charge, especially since they moved only six pieces of furniture and two boxes 1.4 km. They are trying to charge me over $800 for the move after they damaged both properties. I was quoted $600 before anything happened, and I signed nothing to complete the move.

To make matters worse, they have continued to try to put charges on my credit card without authorization or contacting me. I have now reported this as fraud. I strongly advise against using Two Men And A Truck for your move.

Two Men And A Truck International Avoid Two Men And A Truck: Scamming Customers Out Of Every Cent They Can

I've been hearing a lot of bad things about Two Men And A Truck, but unfortunately, they were the only option for my parents' move. They arrived at 8am with a team of 8 men, but only 4 of them actually worked while the others just sat around. My parents had already moved most of their belongings, so they only needed help with furniture and a few boxes. However, the movers didn't finish unloading everything until 10pm and then charged my parents an extra $1900 because it was after hours.

To make matters worse, the movers didn't even finish unloading everything and told my parents they would have to wait another day to get the rest of their furniture. They charged my parents an additional $1500 for keeping the items overnight, even though it wasn't my parents' choice. During the move, the movers broke my parents' stairs, scuffed their wood floor, and damaged several items.

My parents are still missing some of their belongings, even though the move was two weeks ago. The company promised to fix the damages, but they haven't sent anyone out to repair anything or even bothered to call my parents back. They paid $5000 for broken furniture and property damage, plus over 40 hours of wasted time. The company did reimburse them $1900, but they still had to pay the $3100 quote.

It's really disappointing that Two Men And A Truck would take advantage of people like this. I knew something was up when my parents called me at 6:30pm, and the movers were still working. It seems like they were just milking the hours since they're paid hourly. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, and I wouldn't use them again even if they were the last moving company on the planet. Don't waste your money because they'll try to scam you out of every cent they can.

Two Men And A Truck International Disappointing Experience with Two Men And A Truck: Slow Pace, Lack of Tools, and Broken Item

I recently hired Two Men And A Truck to help me move my belongings to a storage unit and my new home. The process started off a bit slow as the movers took a long time to read through the contract before we could begin. Once we got started, I walked them through what items needed to go to each location, but unfortunately, they did not take any notes or use stickers to label the boxes. This resulted in them asking me multiple times which items went to which location, which was frustrating and time-consuming.

The workers also seemed to move at a slow pace, taking their time to talk and delaying the process. When it was time to leave, they walked through the truck a couple of times, which I assumed was to secure the items, but it felt more like a stalling tactic. Additionally, one of my lamps was broken during the move, and the workers only offered me $6 for it. After some negotiation, they took $25 off my bill, but it still felt like they were stalling and wasting time.

Before the move, Two Men And A Truck had assured me that they could dismantle any necessary items, such as beds and desks. However, when they arrived, they did not have any tools, including an Allen wrench or a wrench to remove my washer and dryer. I had to provide these tools myself, which was frustrating.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Two Men And A Truck. The excessive waste of time and higher charges compared to other movers I know have used left a bad taste in my mouth. I had planned to use them again in the future, but after this experience, I will not be using them again and will not recommend them to my friends who are moving soon.

Two Men And A Truck International Two Men and a Truck Review: Careless Handling and Broken Items, But Prompt Repairs

This was my first time moving as a civilian, as I had previously moved four times with the Military. I must say, I was quite spoiled with my Military moves. The Military would contract private moving companies, and they would come in one day to pack everything, and the next day, it was put in the truck and moved. They were always very careful with my household items, and hardly ever had an issue. And if there was an issue, it was resolved quickly.

However, with Two Men and a Truck, it was a totally different story. They were not careful with my items at all. They took apart and reassembled my bed, but did not want to do the same with my kid's beds. They said that it was a liability issue, but I'm not sure how much water that holds. What I really did not like was the broken items. They broke pieces off my furniture that were easily fixed, but they did not mention it to anyone. They seemed to want to hide it to see if they could get away with it. One item was found out by accident, and the others by the sound it made when they crashed into it. They did not seem to care what was in their way. They just hit it until it moved. Luckily, my wife and I were there. I watched two, and she watched the other two. Another thing that bothered me was that they made a hole in the wall with the furniture and covered it up with boxes. In addition, they did not cover up my household items for protection.

However, they were not all bad. As I mentioned earlier, we had minor repairs, but they came quickly to do the repairs. The repairman told me that he was extremely busy, and I mentioned that if it was because the movers kept on destroying the furniture that they moved. He just looked at me and smiled.

I am not sure whether to hate them or accept that this is how civilian companies are. I will look for another company if I move again and compare the two.

Two Men And A Truck International Two Men and a Truck Review: Poor Packing, Inconvenience, and Unfair Blame

I recently used Two Men and a Truck in Washington DC for packing services and I have to say, it was a complete disaster. I was totally gaslit and they took advantage of me in every way possible.

First of all, when my movers arrived (which was a few days later), they immediately noticed that the boxes were not properly packed. The one piece of tape holding the boxes together was completely open, the bottom of the boxes had no tape, and the boxes were overpacked. When I brought up these issues to Two Men and a Truck, they tried to blame the movers and asked how they could know it wasn't their fault. I had video of the boxes on the day they were packed, three days prior to the movers arriving, so it was clear that the packing was done poorly. They also tried to say that I seemed happy on the day of packing, so why was I upset now? They even went so far as to say that it was my responsibility as the customer to check the boxes and tape in real-time to ensure it was up to moving standards. I mean, come on! That's why I hired a professional packing company in the first place. They only offered to refund me $75, which was the cost of the materials they brought that I used. They didn't seem to care that their poor packing was a reflection of their reputation.

Secondly, the packers did not bring enough packing material, so I had to pay for ubers both ways to go to a hardware store to get more packing materials with one of the movers after they had already taken more time than expected. This was a huge inconvenience and added to the already stressful moving process.

Lastly, the packers stated that their driving time was much longer than it actually was, and only when I pressed them on the exorbitant charge did the management check the GPS to change the cost. This was just another example of how they were trying to take advantage of me.

Overall, the management spoke to me multiple times, but they only made concessions when I pressed them on their mistakes. They fully put the blame on me for their poor quality, which was completely unfair. My movers even asked me if I packed the boxes myself, which just shows how bad this company is. I would not recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone.

Two Men And A Truck International Warning: Two Men And A Truck Stole My Stuff and Won't Take Responsibility - Do Not Use This Company

This company, Two Men And A Truck, ain't no good. They done stole my stuff and the boss man, Greg, ain't doing nothin' 'bout it. The movers, Bruce, Tyrone, and Josh, were the ones who done it. I done talked to Greg a bunch of times and even got the police involved, but he just wants to send some other folks to my house to look through my stuff. Who does that? First they said they didn't see one thing, but then they found it and said they mighta put it in the garage. Then they said they'd give me a check for the stolen item, but now they ain't answering my calls 'bout the other stuff that's gone. Greg says his workers are honest and he believes them over me. Me and my neighbor saw them take my stuff and now it's gone. I even gave them a tip and they still stole from me. I told them 'bout the theft two days later and now it's been a whole month with no success. I'm gonna report them to the Better Business Bureau and I told Greg I would. As a customer, I done my part. He needs to do the right thing and fix what his people done wrong. When you trust someone with your stuff, you don't expect them to steal from you and get away with it. But since Greg ain't willing to do nothin', I'm writing this post. If it happened to me, it's probably happened to others and it'll happen again. I just want Greg to take responsibility and make things right. Don't use this company, y'all.

Two Men And A Truck International Avoid Extortion and Broken Stuff: My Terrible Experience with Two Men and a Truck

This company ain't no good, let me tell ya. They came in all high and mighty, munching on some edibles and puffing on a vape pen. They didn't even bother to check out the place or ask any questions before quoting me 10 hours. But let me tell ya, it took them over 14 hours to finish the job, and they still charged me for the full amount. When I complained to the management, they just brushed me off like it was my problem, not theirs.

These guys were rough with my stuff, body slamming it and yelling out wrestling terms like they were in some kind of ring. They took unauthorized smoke breaks all day long, and one of the four men even got so high that he had to stay in the truck for the rest of the move. They called me at the last minute to reschedule for the next day, leaving me with no place to stay, no food or water, and a dying phone. And when they finally showed up the next day, they refused to unload my stuff until I paid them for the previous day's work.

But that's not all, folks. They left my beds disassembled, glass pieces all over the place, and even broke two of them completely. They left some of my stuff at my old apartment and refused to go back and get it, saying "nah, I'm not doing that $#*!". And to top it all off, they walked all over my electronics while they were in the truck.

Let me tell ya, these guys are the worst criminals I've ever met. If you want to avoid extortion, broken stuff, and being treated like garbage, stay far away from Two Men and a Truck.

Two Men And A Truck International Disappointing Experience with Two Men and a Truck: Slow, Overpriced, and Damaged My Piano

I gotta say, moving is a real pain in the butt. My job requires me to move every few years, so I've had my fair share of experiences with different removalist companies. Unfortunately, my experience with Two Men and a Truck wasn't exactly a positive one.

Now, I ain't got a whole lot of furniture to move, 'cause I like to keep my costs low by moving most of my things myself. But when I did hire Two Men and a Truck to move from Balwyn VIC to Geelong VIC (one story house to one story house) during a stage 2 lockdown (May 2020) on a weekday non peak hour, I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed.

Here's what I had to move:
- 1 two-seated sofa
- 1 dining table with 6 dining chairs
- 1 standard size TV unit set
- 1 coffee table
- 1 single bed
- 1 double bed
- 2 bedside tables
- 1 dressing table
- 1 medium size book shelf
- And 1 upright piano (which we paid $185 extra)

Now, I did my part by gathering all the things in the lounge room on the moving day and disassembling any furniture that I could to try to make the move smooth. But the removalists moved at a glacial pace. It took 'em a whopping 4 hours to load/unload the listed furniture. And the total cost was $1122.22 with a large chunk of it spent on the return trip. They charged 1.5 hours travel time from Geelong back to Melbourne CBD, which we weren't particularly happy about. On a non peak 11:30am weekdays during lockdown, it shouldn't have taken 1.5 hours on the return trip. We felt like we were being ripped off and they were not being honest about the actual travel time.

But that ain't even the worst part. They put scratches on our piano while moving it. Now, I thought they were supposed to be professionally trained to move fragile items like this, 'cause they charged extra for the piano. But they weren't. The piano slipped off the moving trolley and hit the floor, which has certainly impacted the piano.

I attached some photos of the scratches they made during moving.

All in all, I ain't happy or impressed about their service. I won't use their service again and I won't recommend it to others either.

Two Men And A Truck International Terrible Experience with Two Men and a Truck: Overpriced and Unprofessional Movers

Hired Two Men and a Truck about a month ago and boy was it a doozy. Let me tell you, it was the worst experience with a mover I've ever had in my entire life. They originally quoted me $600 for a four-hour move, but when they got there, I was watching the move and noticed in the first hour they hadn't accomplished nothing. It seemed like every chance they got they stopped for one reason or another. It took them 5 hours to load the truck, they started at 10 in the afternoon and didn't start unloading the truck near night time. All they did was kept coming in with a new contract to raise the price of the job. The most pathetic team of movers I have ever seen. I feel scammed by this company.

But wait, it gets worse. They demanded that one of us leave or they were going to dump our property in the front of the house. This is because they thought we were too loud in our discussion. Me and my wife had a disagreement earlier and we were sorting through that. Somehow they took offense. One of the gentleman said he was having PTSD because he had just gotten out of a bad relationship. There was no screaming or yelling or violence. Nothing was ever directed towards them. Of course, I said no to leaving my own house. At that time, my wife contacted a mover she was in contact with prior and he was available. So we told them to put the stuff in the carport area and leave.

The new movers showed up and watching them work made me realize just how pathetic Two Men and a Truck were. No comparison in the work ethic. They made Two Men and a Truck look like they were standing still. But wait, it gets worse. In a retaliatory move, the workers on Two Men and a Truck called the police. There was no report or taken by police officers. They had no issue with us and it was just a waste of their time. Two Men and a Truck workers were long gone when the police arrived, of course.

Can you say horrible experience? I don't think an experience could get any worse. End up costing me $1,300 to do the move. I ended up paying Two Men and a Truck $1,000 and 300 to the new moving company. If I had completed the job with Two Men and a Truck, it would have cost $1,500. They more than doubled their original offer. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Two Men And A Truck International Unprofessional and Overpriced: My Experience with Two Men And A Truck

I recently hired Two Men And A Truck on February 28th and I have to say, it was a pretty bad experience. My mom was moving from her one bedroom apartment to another one bedroom apartment just a few blocks away. The two movers who showed up were not prepared at all. They didn't have any tools with them to disassemble the furniture, which was pretty frustrating. When we asked them about it, they said that their company doesn't provide tools. My mom had to provide basic screwdrivers and allen keys just so they could do their job.

To make matters worse, one of the movers asked my sister, who had just had a c-section, to remove the TV from the stand. That was just ridiculous! The movers were so slow that my sister had to help them disassemble the dining room table and put it back together at the new place. She even had to go looking for them a few times because they were nowhere to be found. It seemed like they were taking way too many breaks and slowing down the process.

The move started at 9:30am and didn't finish until 7:00pm. That's a really long time for a one bedroom move, especially since the new place had a dedicated elevator going up to the 2nd floor. The movers blamed the elevator and said that it was taking too long, but that just didn't add up. They also didn't tell us that we needed another mover to help speed things up.

When I complained to the manager, Milton, he was really argumentative and didn't seem to care about our concerns. He didn't have any customer service skills and just supported whatever lies his movers told him. The whole experience was really unprofessional.

To top it all off, the movers told us that we didn't need insurance, so we opted out of it. But then they ended up damaging my mom's credenza. When we tried to make a claim, it was denied.

Overall, I would definitely stay away from this company. They quoted us $600-800, but it ended up costing $1,500 because of how long it took them to do such a simple move. I had to argue with Milton to get the price down to $1,155. It was just a really bad experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

We stored our patio furniture with Two Men and a Truck with the franchise at Pampano Beach, Florida. The glass tabletop was returned with a big chip in the edge. We sent a registered letter to the office in Pompano and have not had a reply.

Attention: Franchise owner

Last Monday you delivered our patio furniture which had been in your storage since last April. When you picked up the glass tabletop your men were very careful to wrap it in cardboard and blankets.

On delivery the glass tabletop was damaged as you can see in the photo attached. Your delivery men filed a Damage Report, copy attached. The next day I asked Christian in your office to get back to me on how this should be answered. I have not heard.

I have asked Ability Glass (the original supplier) for a quotation to replace the tabletop. A copy of their quotation for a price of $1,555.00 is enclosed. I expect that I will receive payment for the damages immediately from you because we cannot entertain on that tabletop.

I can be reached at mobile phone # [protected] or by Email at: [protected]@iecholden.com.

Please acknowledge this letter.

Sincerely,

Robert Briscoe

Two Men And A Truck International Property damage refusal to cover with protection paid for during a move.

After a recommendation from a relative we hired Two Men & A Truck to move us from our house to a condominium less than half a mile apart on 0712/22. On moving day we got three guys instead of two. The move took longer than expected with part of the reasoning being that the movers themselves spent a great deal of time in the bathroom each. At the time we didn't think much of this, but later, it seemed strange. Like an hour each. I did not go into the truck to check how things were packed or strapped down in there. I didn't assume it was necessary. The lead man stated they were going to stop at Wawas which is literally at the end of the major street of travel for one place to the other. Still within half a mile I am speaking of. There are no traffic issues in this vicinity. Flat land and no hairpin turn, potholes, busy intersections or anything of the sort. Our new place is on the second floor through a standard door. Roughly 36 inches. In the process of moving things up a standard elevator and into the condo almost every piece of furniture we owned was damaged in some way. Gouges, scratches, dents glass being popped out of things and more. The refrigerator for instance was damaged in such a way that it stopped making ice, leaked water and the controls no longer functioned. This Two Med got fixed by paying for one door of the side by side to be replaced and getting our warranty to fix the other. They sent a furniture repairman to fix the other things who colored, painted and glued things back together with mixed results. This included a handmade Amish Pie safe that we had received from my wife's parents which had a door split in half and the handles crushed on. A California Long Queen bed with some holes punched in the woodwork and scratches and numerous strap compressions marks on curios, armoires and tables. Although I am not happy with all those repairs, I am not here to complain about that. The other major thing we had damaged was our couch. We paid over $2000 for it. No I don't have a receipt. Honestly it is a couple of years old who keeps those? The amount is not out of reason, and it is a normal piece of furniture at what I consider a normal price to have paid for it. They sent a man to fix it, this was the local office of Two Men in Largo. He was the wrong man in his words because he doesn't do that type of work. He fixes leather, vinal and wood. It is a cloth couch. He told us, (their expert) that the entire bottom of the couch would need to be uncovered, the wood repaired, and redone, but that this was not possible for the following reason. The fabric was not available any longer. Hence the couch needed to be replaced. So the original person we worked with tried to give us a $175 for our $2000 couch under the premise that we could just fix it ourselves. This was Kattie. We know nothing about fixing it ourselves and don't know anyone who does that. Note that at least two people including the repairman and not counting the wood worker have been here and taken picture of the couch and numerous other things so they know the item of which I speak. It was not dirty, warn, cheap or overused. Practically new for the simple reason it was seldom ever used, not in direct light in a clean indoor environment. We, Kattie, and other managers, have talked about this for months and their communication has been spotty with us at best though out this process of repairs with their hope I think we would just let this go. They refuse to contact and adjuster, we paid for insurance on our things and have not seen any one from that type of office. We offered to settle for a much cheaper couch one that costs $1319.13 with delivery. We sent them the site where they could order it or to just repay us, write a check whatever. The latest is they will give us no more than %500. They arrived at this figure without doing any shopping or looking up any prices by their own admission. The latter person I spoke to was Nathan.

Desired outcome: I would like to resolve this by being paid for my couch, or having it replaced with the specified unit. If it can still be had. I am trying not to take this to a lawyer, but I am in process of contacting one.

Two Men And A Truck International Moving company

Do not use this moving company if (1) you want all your items to arrive, (2) you want the items that do arrive to be unbroken and (3) you want to deal with an operations staff that knows what they are doing.
After sending photos and videos, they assured me on multiple occasions that there would be enough room on the truck for my belongings. I was uncertain, but they said the contents of my home would fit. About 1/3 did not. When I called and told them that I would hold them liable for the items they left in the house (I had to move before they packed my house and their truck), the operations manager literally blackmailed me. He called his driver, told him to unload the truck and return to base. The only way they would move my items was if I paid cash up front ($15, 000).
I also paid them to "professionally" pack my items. When the boxes arrived, things were thrown in. I have photos of the disaster-all of the broken items. They put heavy items on top of incredibly expensive china and glass.
I am still reeling from the insidious and mortifyingly dishonest and intentionally horrible service.
Do not be fooled by their incredibly friendly representatives. I certainly was to the tune of $30, 000 - $15, 000 for each house). They moved 2 homes, and I cannot warn you enough to stay away.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement

I worked for the company for almost 2 months, worked 6 jobs. One of those jobs we finished in half the time got a great review, and a tip. After that job they decided to finally put me in training. During my training I had issues lifting a plastic covered couch up stairs with sweaty hands. And because of that my trainer kept calling me out asking "are you...

Two Men And A Truck International local move done by two men and a truck in gulfport, ms

My family and I recently moved, locally, from a smaller home to a larger home. Due to my husband having had a lower back fusion surgery this past January, we agreed it best and safest to hire professionals for this move. I chose Two Men and a Truck located in Gulfport, MS (our move was from Diberville, MS to Biloxi, MS) because of a personal referral and great reviews on ONE site (I should've checked Yelp, BBB, and Facebook).

This move had to be divided into a two-day move due to us having a double close; we closed on our former home early afternoon on June 28, 2018, then closed on our new home that same afternoon. I rented a storage unit specifically so that we could store ONLY the items packed and moved by Two Men and a Truck (we had a second storage unit, but we did NOT bring them to it or touch anything in it).

The first move was completed on July 27, 2018 from around 1:30pm until around 8:30pm. Firstly, when I scheduled this move, I SPECIFICALLY told the representative that I was ONLY interested in them packing and moving our furniture and appliances, as well as our kitchen-specific items. Moving day: the movers literally DUMP items into boxes, randomly wrapping a few items, but more predominantly NOT wrapping anything, and they didn't just pack up kitchen items, they were packing up EVERYTHING ELSE which I had SPECIFICALLY said WE would pack ourselves. I just opened a box they had packed that had KNIVES just thrown in it, no wrapping whatsoever. NOTHING was wrapped in this particular box. Padding and wrapping furniture was NOT done per the terms stated in one of their emails to me regarding the move, which is also advertised and is a part of what the customer is paying for. Lack of such protective materials has since resulted in various damages to our belongings, which I have documented (and have tried numerous times to come to a REASONABLE settlement with this particular branch's owner, Michael Sham). These damages include a cut along the console section of our leather couch, leather backing getting pulled out from one of the couch pieces which exposed 3 nails, that same backing getting torn in one spot, our Samsung TV getting dropped and its stand getting a couple of areas broken off (so we can't attach the stand back to the TV), a discontinued IKEA queen bed getting DESTROYED (one rail was ripped out from its support beam, so we cannot attach them back together, neither can we attach ANYTHING back together because they didn't pack any of the hardware for this bed), a discontinued IKEA 8-drawer dresser was dropped on a stair which resulted in severe cracks and a chunk hanging on just barely all on one side of the dresser, and my BRAND NEW LG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR getting scratched in a few places on the STAINLESS STEEL DOORS and the water dispenser drip tray getting scratched several times AND a dent in one side (my husband just bought me this fridge December 2017).

Many of these damages I didn't notice until moving day TWO when a different crew came to start documenting damages as they loaded everything from the storage unit into their truck (I had emailed Caitlin James about having noticed a couple of damages and just poor handling of our belongings during the first move, and she reassured me things would be better on the second day). The second crew was FANTASTIC. They were APPALLED at the lack of protective padding and coverings for our furniture, especially when they saw the stainless steel LG fridge... They took the appropriate measures to pad and protect our furniture and appliances at this point, which I appreciated greatly. This move only took from around 8:30am until 12:45pm, WITH taking the time to pad and wrap the items that needed it. Same number of men (3), and less than half the time the first move took. AND this crew put our furniture where we asked them to AND assembled our King bed frame and leather couch pieces (the couch comes apart into 4 pieces). The driver for this crew, Chris, specifically told me that due to the damages being so severe, he was NOT going to charge me for that day's move. I was incredibly grateful, and was not expecting that, so I thought it more than appropriate to show my appreciation by tipping the crew a total of $200 cash.

Now to my current problem: after having communicated extensively with Caitlin James and Emily Sham, about the damages, documenting the damages, and requesting a settlement, I was very much dissatisfied with their settlement: $500 cash and discounting the second move to $416 instead of the original $916. I explained MULTIPLE times about having been told I would NOT be charged for the second move due to the severity of damages, and I requested they reconsider their settlement amount of $500 because I felt that that was too little considering the extent of the damages, the lack of protective materials being used for the first move (which WOULD HAVE prevented MUCH of those damages), and the fact that majority of damaged items were the more expensive ones (again, I have documentation of each item damaged, their serial numbers/SKUs, prices to purchase, etc.) They refused to reevaluate everything and reconsider their decision, which then resulted in me disputing the charges for the first move ($1387.12). The owner, Michael Sham, has since called me and very rudely demanded that I pay for all services because "your items were moved from point A to point B." When I refused, he threatened that "we have other means of collecting payment and we will exercise those means, " and that "when you're ready to be reasonable, you can call back and submit payment for the services." I tried to explain to him why I was so upset and dissatisfied, but he would NOT let me get a word in and ultimately left me in tears at the end of our call. I am still disputing the charges, and have taken this to the BBB. However, I was offered the option of mediation or arbitration on the matter, and was given 5 business days to respond...that was on July 13, 2018, it is now July 17, 2018, and I was prepared to fax my response this morning until I checked my email and saw the BBB had a message for me, which stated that the complaint has been closed, remaining unresolved. I intend on contacting the local BBB office tomorrow morning to find out why I was not given the allowed 5 business days to provide my response, and will move forward from there.

At this point, I just want a full refund of ALL charges. The $1387.12 is presently being disputed again, but if I can just have a full refund so I can end this dispute, and not be bothered about the second move charges of $916 and some change, I will no longer pursue any settlement for these damages. I just want to be DONE with this company and not have to deal with Michael Sham ever again. I do not want to be bothered for any payments, and I will not bother about damages. After everything that has happened to my belongings and the way I was treated by this owner, I think that's an absolutely fair request and resolution. Leave me alone and I'll y'all alone.

Two Men And A Truck International the company has doubled all sums, which I needed to pay them for the work

I want to spread the information about the company Two Men and a Truck. I have used their services and repair twice and each time I wasn’t satisfied with the services. The company doubled all their sums and I have paid them huge sums of money. I was so upset that the company misled their customers so often and didn’t provide high-quality services. I won’t recommend this company to anyone.
