Good morning,
My name is Blaine Melanson. I was employed by your company on Feb. 3. I was to be trained at the westshore Tampa store. It is managed by John Langley. I was told that I had to complete certification or be terminated. I had been employed for 12 days and was not shown the software or other vital parts of the job. I had competency in portions of selling by numbers. I don't appreciate being harassed and having a condescending attitude or jokes at my expense. I could have been a good salesman, but the mistreatment was unacceptable. The acceptance of mistreatment because the sales are met in a store isn't an acceptable policy. Good day.
Sleep number bed i10
I bought a sleep number bed in 2021. I have had countless problems with the adjustable base. Have had to have actuators replaced twice and controller replaced twice. Still having problems with bed position. Been giving errors messages and having to return to flat position. Recycle remote numerous times to get it to work again. Also have a tore were the mattress magnets connect to base. Called to replace and they want over 400.00 to replace. For a bed that cost over 10,000.00 that is ridiculous. Would not recommend this bed to any one. Not worth the cost for support help.
Desired outcome: I would like a complete refund.
iLE SLEEP NUMBER BED less than 4 years old completely deflated terrible customer service
We have a less than 4 year old ile sleep number bed that I’m embarrassed to say we spent close to if not 7,000 on. The customer service via the chat is horrendous. The air chamber went out once a year after having the bed and after looking at my account now due to this issue I see we were charged for them to fix that while we were still under the first 2 year warranty. This new issues I am not paying $129 for a tech to come out to diagnose the bed after spending $7000 on it then more money to fix because the warranty is prorated. I wish I would have font more research before we purchased. I am warning everyone NOT to buy from this company, after the 2 years they don’t give a crap about you. Such a scam.
We want the pump that our older bed requires and have it installed.
My order number is [protected]. I ordered Assy, Firmess Co Ntrol, SIQ03DR. No rem back in October 2022. I paid for the item and service call. As of today, I have not received the item I paid for.
We keep getting info that Sleep Number is experiencing supply chain constraints.
Could you please investigate if this is really a supply chain problem and not a management problem.
Defective product / poor customer service
Purchased king size, twin mattresses, w/adjustable base on 9/25/22, delivered on 10/31. Nov 21st bed had terrible odor. Called and rep said that can happen and will eventually go away. Had back surgery on Nov 28. Entire week the odor was unbearable, had severe headaches and nausea. Dec 5 was told to call Leggett & Platt to look at adjustable base. Was not aware I was dealing with 2 different companies with this purchase. Took 9 days to schedule appt, then another 8 days for tech to come out. The bed has been hard as a rock and not able to adjust air flow. Tech came out, bed did not work at all, could not get air to flow to chambers, said bed is defective due to chip not reading the Sleep IQ app and bed is leaking an odor from the mattress. Tech did smell the odor. For some unknown reason, tech got bed to work again before he left. While sleeping, I did not even move, you feel the bed drop and wakes you up. Scary feeling! The air flow was adjusting but you didn’t move so why adjust. I noticed many times during the day, when no one has been on the bed, the air chambers are filling up and make a noice. Wasn’t aware it does that when not in use. Asked for a full refund, refused to give it to me. The 100 in-home trial period excludes the adjustable base which is $2000. Found out 15 year warrant is limited. 1st year is 100% covered, 2nd year is 65% covered, and each year decreases in %. You pay $3k to 10K for a bed and has "limited" warranty that sales rep did not mention. There is also a restocking fee of $500.00 if they replace the damaged item. If they replaced the mattress it is a final sale so if something goes wrong again, then what? I called many times leaving messages on supervisor line and never received a return call. After numerous calls complaining, I was told to return the twin mattress pad covers for a refund so I'm thinking we are finally making progress and I will get a refund and they can come get this bed and base. I was told that once they receive the mattress pads they will call me to discuss the return. Also, told to call Leggett & Platt to come pick up the adjustable base but yet I still have to pay for it, no refund. Had final call on 1/3/23 with no resolution. We are senior citizens and this has been a terrible ordeal with their lack of customer service and lack of knowledge of sales rep when purchasing, leave out important details.

Sleep number bed
My husband and I purchased a sleep number bed and were told that the mattress would slide because of the suction cups. Well, our mattress is sliding, so we lifted it up just to see that three of the suction cups have come completely off. I called Sleep Number customer service and we both came to the same conclusion that the mattress cover that the suction cups were attached to needed to be replaced. I was told that that would be $169 and the mattress cover would be ordered. I was also told that I had to set up an appointment for at least two weeks out, so I did. The representative arrived at my house with no mattress cover and told us that we needed one. I said no [censored], this was already discussed on the phone that we needed one, so why did you have to come to my house to repeat what I had already discussed with the representative. This makes no sense. If you did not believe me I could have sent pictures. My husband and I feel we were ripped off not to mention the mattress is not all that comfortable. We are now in the process of finding a better mattress.
Desired outcome: Apply the $169 towards the new mattress cover and ship it out to us so that we can at least use the bed for another year or two.

On 1/4/23, two technicians came to install new air chambers on my 18-yr old Queen bed. They parked their truck in the street although I asked them to pull in next to my car. I just received my new Sleep Number bed yesterday 12/29/22 and no one ever mentioned the terrible off gassing odor when I ordered my bed. I woke up with a terrible headache and skin itching. I called Customer service and the person suggested I place dryer sheets under my bedding. Ha ha! Can you imagine how many dryer sheets it would take to cover a Queen bed? The person also mentioned it would take a week to get rid of the odor. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service to not mention this to prospective buyers. There are many people who are highly sensitive to odors. Get your act together Sleep Number!
Desired outcome: I would like a free bed Total Protection Mattress Pad asap!
Legacy Sleep Number King Bed - Installation and Customer Service
My husband and I moved from Florida to NC and as previously we contacted Sleep Number to complete disassembly and re assembly of our Sleep Number bed.
After having Sleep Number assemble our Legacy bed bought in 2013 I completed multiple calls with customer service to find out that the bed had been assembled incorrectly and that the hose to one of the chambers of the bed was creased and was not functioning. Technical Rep indicated it required full replacement and the install was done wrong (by Sleep Number).
We are now waiting an unknown period of time for new pump and hoses for the bed. My husband is handicap and he is constantly experiencing chamber loosing air and can't sleep safely on the bed.
What is Sleep Number going to do about this. I expect a replacement not a "we will email you when the pump ships".
Desired outcome: Replacement Bed of equal or better quality for the mattress and chambers of the Legacy Bed
Sleep Number Queen Bed
We purchased our Sleep Number Queen Bed in August 2021 for $3,598.03. At first, we liked the bed just fine, but now it is sagging in the middle. It is very disruptive to our sleep and each time one of us turns over we roll into each other and it is now affecting my back. I am a current cancer patient and I need a restful night's sleep. We are HIGHLY disappointed and unfortunately, still paying off the balance for a bed we despise and cannot recommend anyone buying one.
Desired outcome: A refund of some kind.
Sleep number ip8 bed, frame and customer service
I purchased my sleep number iP8 bed in 2/202. My bed has been repaired with parts and installation charges, countless hours of time spent on phone calls with various representatives to include your third-party frame supplier and sleep number managers: Bret, Izzy and Tae. I am requesting a new bed frame because every part has been replaced within the 2nd year of purchase. I thought the warranty was decent based on the salesman's pitch when I bought it. None of which has been accurate information thus far. Every day I see sleep number commercials. I hope to receive contact from your headquarters, proof that you stand by your product. Invest in the customer service as much as you do commercials. I'm out of pocket thousands of dollars, stressed to for a product not yet
Desired outcome: I want a replacement bedframe. A manager Tae told me that my issue was with the frame company. This bed should last longer than 2 years before replacement mother boards are necessary. Please call [protected].
Poor service
Six months ago I called Sleep Number because my remote quit working. They told me the remote and air compressor had to be replaced, it would cost $90, I agreed. After 5 months and numerous phone calls I then asked to speak with a supervisor. I was then told that the remote is not the problem. They gave me the phone number to another 3rd party company (Legatt). The 3rd party company said I needed the motor (Okimat) replaced for $460. Three weeks later I received the part. Since I tore my groin muscle I wasn't able to lift the bed to replace part. I then called Sleep Number who sent out two gentlemen to install the motor ($137). After arriving they said they couldn't do this work because they had not been trained. After talking with their supervisor on their phone the supervisor could not convince them to work with me and install this part. So they left. I called back Sleep Number and after spending an hour with product service they said they could send me instructions on installing. I explained once again that I needed someone to install this motor not an instruction book. With no help from Sleep Number I called Legatt back. The only tech. they had was 250 miles away. Still no help from either company. I was then informed Sleep Number would refund my money. So after 6 months my bed still did not function, I was stuck with a $5000 air mattress. No thanks to either company I found two people to help me install the parts. The least Sleep Number could have done was to offer at least some bedding for the agrivation I have been put through. I am totally dissatisfied with Sleep Number and the product service provided. P.S. - I just received a product survey by e-mail.
HA! remote control...hahahahaha! They are currently our of stock on their remote controls so you HAVE to rely on your cell phone. I live in a rural area with terrible cell service so it is hit and miss. I will call them EVERY week until they restock their remote controls. I just received my bed yesterday 12/29 and when I ordered it they NEVER mentioned they were out of stock with their remote controls. TERRIBLE way to do business!
My queen bed still is not fully assembled (after 26 days)
I am at wit's end with sleep number customer service. I have had my queen bed for 26 days now awaiting final assembly — the delivery people could not finish the assembly because the incorrect bolts (too long) were sent. In the interim, synchrony bank sent me a credit card (which I did not request nor want) with a bill for roughly $650.00, even though the card had never been activated. I disputed the charge, and unfortunately, the synchrony person, put in a dispute, not of the card as requested, but of the amount. The amount is not in dispute — it is part of the 36 months financing. But that screw up by the synchrony employee caused the requested hardware to get blocked, thus the bed remains unfinished. Last week after finally getting to the rott, ie the incorrect dispute, I asked synchrony to cancel it — again, I am not disputing the amount, only that it was on a credit card I did not request, did not want and never activated! I have spent over 7 hours on the phone with your customer service to try and get this resolved. They keep saying it is blocked by synchrony. I no longer care what the issue is — I want my hardware and a fully assembled bed. May I bill sleep number for my time at $200/hour, and request it be deducted from the financed amount? No one calls back, no one resolves anything. I am tired of dealing with your customer service department who resolve nothing. I am pissed to the point where I am ready to give back the bed. If anyone asks about sleep number beds, what do you my answer will be — it sure will not be positive. How can it be — 26 days I have an unfinished bed! What does a person need to do!
Desired outcome: Send the correct mounting hardware to fix the headboard to the base within 7 (seven) days. Schedule the assemblers to come back ASAP and finish the assembly.
My sleep nuber mattress which I purchased in August, 2017
I am waking up every day with back aches which are getting increasingly worse. i have tried changing the setting on my matress, but I'm not even sure it's working any more as I don't hear the motor. I had it on 40 for a long time, but then increased it to 90 as I felt it needed to be firmer, but it still doesn't fell very firm. Since it's no longer under warranty, what do you suggest?

Split California king
Very disappointed in this product. We had a sleep number bed for 14 years and needed a new one. Bought the new split California King (split all the way down) and despite salesperson telling us the mattresses do not separate and we would not notice the split or feel the split in the middle, that was a total lie. Scheduled a return the very next day and decided to get the split only at the top part. Gave it a few days and same thing but unfortunately, in addition to the split separating significantly, the bed has been causing me severe lower back pain despite trying different settings. The responsive air future does not work accurately and even if turning the feature off, the mattress is still very uncomfortable. My husband and I have been absolutely miserable with this split bed and unfortunately Sleep Number Bed return policy is you can only do one return. The mattress has made our life a living hell and I just can't believe these split mattresses are still being made. I wish we could just get a regular Sleep Number bed with no split but numerous emails to the company and Facebook posts on their page has resulted in no replies. I have also now started posting on Twitter to see if I can get anyone's attention but nothing.

Retunability
Was told in the store that if we didn't like the bed we could return it. After trying to sleep on it for five days, we called to return it because we did not want to keep it. Customer service told us we had to wait 30 days to get return authorization and the flex frame we bought was not returnable! The frame was $1499.00. We are being told that the return policy was gone over with us but i beg to differ. We were told the "bed", was returnable and the "bed" in anyone's mind would be what you just purchased, mattress and frame. We want what we were told, cancel purchase.
Desired outcome: Grant return and cancel purchase.
Returns and refunds
The in store staff was phenomenal and so was customer service online. I am however extremely displeased with the company themselves. They advertise a money back guarantee within 100 days of service but don't tell you about the $500 dollars you have to pay for pickup and delivery that is non refundable. They also don't tell you about the shipping and handling that you are accountable for. We went in to the store hoping we found a bed that would work. Wound up having to take out a $3000 loan and put $800 down on top of it and by the end of all the fees after we returned a bed that didn't work we wound up owing $280 to our loan and no money back in our accounts. This loan is continuing to accrue interest because of the hidden fees. So when it comes down to it we are still paying $1000 on a bed we don't even have.

Representative for sleep number
Have attempted several times calling Sleep Number. Reason was to be reconnected to iPhone and SN Iq. When first purchased my SN, it was easy for your representative to get me back online. Now, last time, I called your rep was very short, she talked down to me to the point, I called her on it. I told her I was not dumb and would appreciate it if she would get me back on line. The two of us went round and round, never accomplishing any thing!
You know, I wasn't dumb when I purchased my Sleep Number bedding nor when I talked my daughter into purchasing a SN.
I will attempt one more time to have your GOOD representatives to get me back online.
If you can't, I will send a complaint to BBB about your poor customer service after the purchase.

Your repres are unable to reconnect me to my Iphones and Sleep IQ. Customer service repre was not professional and talked down to me, as if I was dumb. She did this to the point, I called her out on it.
Anyway, I would like to be reconnected to my Iphone.
Sleep number mattress warranty
I purchased a sleep number in 2016. In 2020 the left sag started to really sag and the corners were all going in. I called in May 2022 and was told the warrantee was pro rated so I had to purchase what they said was the problem a foam topper for inside the mattress. I did and paid 250 for it. That did not work and eventually I called again. In september I called and told them that it was still very saggy and corners were all going down and he sent me an air chamber and said if that doesnt work I would have to call back and get the pillow top mattress part. The top of the bed. He explained only 45% would be covered under warrantee and I was ok with that. Well in November I called the number back very upset because my daughter just died. She was only 30. I told the girl I was calling to replace the pillow top part and on top of everything my dog chewed a part of it while the police were in my house to tell us the news. She then told me that now that I told her about the dog the entire warrantee was now voided I would need to pay full price. I explained that I could not afford that and this has been an on going issue if she would just read the notes. She said she didnt care because the dog voids the warantee. Not very sympathetic. I called back and spoke to a manger and she said sorry because I told her about the dog it was not covered. SHe said she would give me 20% off. that is not fair... I should have 45% off because this was ongoing. I was just telling the truth. the little bite mark on the side is not hurting my back... the sagging is.
Desired outcome: to get 45% off the price like I should.
Replacement of pump
On July 27, 2022, I called Sleep number to to get another remote as mind did not work. I was told that they do not have a remote for my bed so I will need to get a new pump. I ordered it that day and as of last week, I was told it is still on back order. I asked if they could just send a new pump and was told that my bed requires a different type of air pump. I seems that a 4 month wait is excessive.
Desired outcome: Replacement air pump!
