false advertising
Good day.
My husband and I took a year subscription with the snap fitness in Timaru, new Zealand, we paid up front for the whole year after reading the services they offer. They state that they have fitness on demand and classes that you can attend, however they do not run any classes that they have advertised and the fitness on demand does not get up dated, and when you do the very limited selection of work outs the unit freezes or turns off.
This is not what I paid for, I paid for the usage of classes and fitness on demand when there is no classes. I have requested a full refund from the club however the manager Scott Henry states that there is nothing wrong with the system and they did not miss guide and falsely advertise the services that are rendered. I am not happy that I have to stay with a gym that does not offer what it stated it offers, it it's blatant false advertising.
Please may you assist.

air conditioner is always turned off for 12 hours straight !
I am a member at one of your gyms located at Egypt. Please I have a complain regarding the air conditioner as the gym turns off the air conditioner from 12 at night till 12 in the morning ( 12 hours !) The temperature this days in Cairo Egypt varies from 39c to 42c ! Its so difficult to workout under those conditions. Also the sauna and Jacuzzi are also out of service during those timings... . so I signed a complain and was surprised that the CO himself captain "Weal Samir" contacted me after 2 hours exactly from writing the complain. The problem is that he stated " The AC cant handle a 24 hours pressure and we have to give the machine a 12 hours rest and cant turn it on 24 hours without a break, also the sauna and Jacuzzi are off before 12 in the morning" aim surprised that you say you offer me a 24 hours gym without a 24 hours full facilities ! Only 12 hours per day I have access to the full services and the remaining hours I only have access t o the training floor ( dumbbells and machines ) ! Sorry but how is that a 24 hours service ? Or do you mean by 24 hours that only the gym is open 24 hours but not the full accessibility to its "main" facilities ? Last thing, how training in a 42c is good for health ? That is a tough condition actually and I cant see any benefits to my health from this but actually the opposite. every day after finishing my workout I feel like am going to faint from this temperature. Please take my complain into consideration and am so pleased to be one of your members am just trying to fix something that is having a huge bad impact on me and on anybody that is working out in your gym during those timings. Thanks in advance.
non-refund of money paid as annual subscription fees after the gym suddenly closed down
I took an annual subscription from Snap Fitness Nirlon Centre on 18th of feb 2017 for INR 10, 800. But within a month of that the centre suddenly closed down, had paid for 12 months. Snap Fitness in a notification roll out promised that it would pay all its customers their money back within 14 days from submission of email details. I provided my details as they have not sgiven me membership form but my no. was registered which is found by "Miss ANITA Operations" as per her she told Refund will be in process, and now i am receiving mail from her saying we can not process your refund. Do you gys Really have any "Shame" left
What a Cheat they are.
I took an annual subscription from Snap Fitness Nirlon Centre on 18th February 2017 for INR 10, 800. But on 31st may 2017 the centre closed down, which was not expected, since that day I am sending malis and calling them but no response, I didn't expect this from snapfitness management.

non-refund of money paid as annual subscription fees after the gym suddenly closed down
I took an annual subscription from Snap Fitness Nirlon Centre on 19th of April 2017 for INR 9, 800. But within a month of that the centre suddenly closed down, something which I had not anticipated in my wildest dreams. I didn't even use the gym for a month and had paid for 12 months. Snap Fitness in a notification roll out promised that it would pay all its customers their money back within 14 days from submission of email details. I provided my details, and I got a refund of INR 2, 345. I have been constantly mailing them to refund the rest of the amount because charging 70% of the money for one months use of the gym is beyond illogical. Essentially Snap Fitness is a big cheat and they are eating up its honest customers money. My client no is B/SFGM/[protected]/69 and MID is 8978185
I can not get anyone to respond to me. My gym closed suddenly and I would like to get my money back. Who did you contact
you have at least Received some money these cheaters have ate my entire money 10800/-
poor customer service.
Access card locked out since middle of May. Charged 3 mos. on credit card to continue service from 6/1 to 9/1 period with still no access. Unable to reach owner or corporate to discuss lock out reason and obtain refund for services not provided. Phone calls made and emailed inquiries sent on 6/9, 6/19 and 6/26 with no service or resolution. Gym employees cannot assist with lock out or services. All they can do is charge your credit card!
treatment given by new management
I am a member of snap fitness gym Armadale WA and Am really disappointed at the treatment I got from the new manager there.I made a complaint about mis information by one member of staff that made me end up paying more money than I should have.instead of hearing me out and coming up with a solution, he accused me of lying and told me he didn't believe me without even taking time to investigate ask his member of staff.he was quick to protect them and told me that it's my fault because it's my signature that's on the contract...if I told ask him to refer me to someone who could understand what I was saying he told he was the manage and no one else could assist me.he told me all that I could do was to cancel my membership.i think this was very rude and don't even understand why he treated me that way...
managers/ owners
Everyone has fitness goals, but physical transformations are only part of what members accomplish in our gyms. We want you to feel great about your health and wellness, inside and out. Is what snap fitness says. Well I was working out when the owner came up to me and told me to quit dropping weights and stop being loud because I am bothering others around me. I have never been more offended by someone telling me something that I was not doing. I am very respectful to people and equipment. Always asking people if there done and never budging. Never disrespecting equipment and always putting my weights and equipment back. This owner need to know and remember that we are at a GYM! Not a library. Yes when I set down my weight it might be louder because there 65+ dumbbells or 220lb on the bench but I'm respectful when I'm setting them down, NEVER SLAMMING them. I have worked out all of high school, to North Dakota state university for division 1 wrestling, to over 8 years at a snap fitness and never have been told to be quiet while lifting. To be called out while seeing others being so much worse is disrespectful, demeaning, almost feeling discriminated against. A person cannot be themselves, find their goals or accomplish what they set out for if someone is telling them otherwise. If there was a complaint they should have let the other party know that they are in a gym not a library. I know snap is better than this and should know nobody is perfect. As snap says use the industry’s best fitness equipment for your cardio, STRENGTH TRAINING and all of your fitness needs.
gym staff behaviour and very very loud ear damaging music
I am a member of the Snap Fitness gym in Banashankari 2nd stage, Bangalore, India. I have been experiencing a few problems at the gym. Firstly the gym music system quality is not good and when loud music is played it hurts the ears and since the gym is not acoustically designed the music sounds like noise. Whenever I am working out a person by the Name Suyash increases the volume to a very high intensity which is very painfull to the ears especially whem I am working out on the gym equipment which is close to the speakers. Firstly I do not understand how a gym member is allowed to play music of his own choice and how is he allowed by the gym staff to play very loud music. I thought one of the rules of the gym was that no personal choice music will be played. The music volume should be moderate and should be considerate to everyone at the gym. If somebody wants they can bring thier own music player and headphones and play whatever music and at whatever volume they want. If your gym does not resolve this problem please kindly refund my membership fess and I will join a gym where customers are respected. I was verbally abused and shouted at by this teenager called Suyash, when I told him please be considerate of other people in the gym he said he will do whatever he wants, and the gym staff was standing there and saying we are helpless. If you cannot respect your members, I do not wish to be part of this gym please kindly refund my membership fees
unethical behavior
Owner was rude and incompetent in up holding snap fitness core values. I was told by owner she did not want a customer like me in her franchise. I waited a month for the grand opening of this franchise. When I signed my contract I was told to check facebook. I did. It says snap fitness Grand opening May 1st. Now mind you I don't have a Facebook account so all I see is SNAP FITNESS open 24 hours as the first advertisement. Another ad saying Grand Opening May 1st. Nobody notified me so I woke up this morning excited to finally work out and when I pulled up I seen a handyman there walking in so I followed. Much to my surprise it was still under construction. My heart fell. I was disappointed, angered and upset. I signed a contract with a company who could not update their website for people who really don't use facebook. To me it appeared that it was open. I took pic of this site. The owner Shannon Mcnichol was rude. She talked to me like I was bothering her and I should of known about the fire at the other location. I was more worried about the contract that I signed with no gym to go to. She handled the situation very poorly. Talked down to me like I was stupid. Saying things like I should be lucky to get a membership so cheap. She said she she didn't want me in her gym...NICE! I am a cancer survivor who after years of feeling weak and depressed finally built my self up enough to feel strong about joining a gym near my home. A place I would be feel comfortable to further my health. I'm so disappointed to have my goals shattered by such a rude and ignorant person. I'm a middle aged women who pays my bills on time and yes I was concerned about my contract and charges for a gym that I could not use. Her last words to me were I will send your contract back to you. Is that your companies mission statement to the public. Please contact me Denise [protected]
unethical business practices of the twinsburg, oh location
My conversation with Bill (the franchisee) started off as me understanding the auto payment process and how as a contract member I am subject to it. Next I inquired about the fee increase for April. There was a $20 fee increases, which is now an annual increase, to all members for the month of April. As a result, my account was affected adversely. He stated there were signs posted in the facility. When I asked him to send me a copy of the membership agreement since I no longer live in Ohio and where I live has no Snap Fitness I wanted a copy. My reasoning was so I can read where it say fee increases are allowed. He did not send me a copy via email nor taking a picture of it with his phone that states something along the lines of fees being increased due to the franchisee's decision. Lucky, I found the member agreement online. No where in the agreement does it say fee increases can happen though Bill told me he would take a picture of that section of the agreement. Being a contract member, I signed a contract to pay a set rate. I did not sign a contract to pay a set rate plus increases when the owner sees fit. I believe something needs to be done about this behavior because I am sure Snap Fitness would not want their image tarnished by one individual they entrusted to run one of their facilities.
very disappointed customer of snap fitness
I signed up for the gym membership in plaquemine, la on a thursday and went to swipe in that following friday and my card wouldn't work I got ahold of the people they told me they would work on it, it wasn't until monday that my card was finally working and had already paid for another temporary guest pass for that weekend at a different gym because of the inconvience, on top of waiting for the gym to open after being remodeled for two weeks that happened! I was let go from my job in la and had to move home a week later after joining the gym I sent an email to the gym to let them know that I need to cancel my membership and was told that I will be charged for the following month! What a scam I used the gym for one week bit will be charged for two month?! I need a full refund what a waste of time and my hard earned money!
membership
hello. my local snap fitness in Ellenwood cancel my membership. I was accused of training in the gym. I have been member for over 7 yrs. I workout with two friend. I explained that to manager but she cancel my membership. I have sent email to the corp office and district manager but no response. I have remained loyal to the gym during several manager changes. the manager always seem to have an attitude. this co. doesn't believe in customer service.
unethical behaviour
Hi,
Myself Jithin Mathew I am a Certified Public Accountant(CPA) based out of BTM, Bangalore India. I am very much dedicated to the fitness, So that, I have enrolled an annual membership in BTM snap fitness from the date of December 6th 2015, the Snap started in here on the same day (as first 100 premium members I got goodies also). As the package says we can freeze maximum of 1 month when we not able to come Snap I have done that I have send the mail as request, along with that I have given 3 annual reference to the same Snap as they offer me 1 month extra for each referral all together my membership will expires on April 5th 2017.
Today, March 20th 2017 at 9.15 PM, when I about enter the Snap one guy from the front desk stopped me his name is Vijay. He was very angry on me and saying like, âyour membership got expires give renew and goâ. Mean time I said no its is not done I have 15 days more. He was asking for the proof and shouting at me. Around 15 other clients where there in the lobby in that time.
I have given those referral names those where I referred, then he want conduct number of those people. I was not having at that time I will get it tomorrow I said then he has raised his sound and said âYou just ### off I can't allow you inside the club as simple as thatâ for all this Club fitness manager were witness also, She was trying to convince him But He was not.
For all this you can check CCTV footage the time which I mentioned before.
Seriously, I am not a homeless to go and do workout without paying money and this is not the right behaviour to a client. This kind of cultural less people will harm the goodwill of the Snap fitness as whole.
Please make sure all the Franchisees having same code of conduct
deceptive marketing
In July 2015, I signed an agreement for 18 month membership with understanding that the membership would end after that time period. Monthly payments through this agreement were were $32.36 deducted from my credit card. I don't usually allow companies to deduct from my card but was told that was the only acceptable method of payment, that I could not send the payment myself. I wanted to use the center so reluctantly gave my credit card for payment. I asked for a copy of the agreement, was told I would receive a copy, which didn't happen. I asked several more times when I saw staff in the facility and was told I would need to talk to the manager. I asked when the manager would be available, was given dates and times, but he wasn't there when I was told he would be.
In the month that my membership should have ended, January 2017, I found a charge to SF Ionia on my card for the following month membership billed at $54.99. I contacted my credit card and told them I had not authorized that payment and that they should not make any further payments to SF Ionia.
I then contacted the manager of Snap Fitness Ionia and told him I had no intention of continuing my membership, that I had no intention of paying the $54.99 and that the person who had signed me up for membership had assured me that it was 18 months and only 18 months. I had specifically asked about whether I would have to actively cancel and was told no. The manager then told me that my contract required I provide a 2 month written notice in advance of my intention to cancel my membership, that I should read my agreement with Snap Fitness. I told him that I had asked several times for a copy and didn't receive one. He said he could send me a copy and did so immediately via email.
When I received my copy of the agreement, there was indeed a requirement for a member on a 12 month agreement to provide written notice in advance. However, I was not on a 12 month agreement, I was on a promotional 18 month agreement. I immediately sent a return email stating I was not interested in continuing my membership and that the email should be considered notice of cancellation effective at the end of the 18 months. Additionally, even though the form only required the last 4 digits of my credit card number, my full card number was written across the front of the form. That lack of concern for security is appalling to me.
I have now been charged 2 months at $54.99 per month, have not paid it and have been threatened with being turned over to collections.
There were also other issues with this facility such as lack of cleanliness and not being provided a workout program as promised, but I am most concerned about being "required" to pay for something I did not agree to and being turned over to collections.
Correction...written notification of cancelllation is 30 days ... my mistake.
service, not following their word and bad way of trying to solve it
I am very disappointed with my gym in surfers paradise. I was told that if I recommend a friend to go to the gym and he gives my name, I would get two weeks for free. I did so, and my friend, vincent etcheto, gave my name (About a month ago).
I didn't realize that they did not kept they word and kept on charging me. Because I am leaving the zone I had to quit the gym and then I realized that they charged me every time without exceptions. I send an email to my gym about a week ago and they said that they could reduce that amount if I subscribe again, I replied that I didn't want to join because I am leaving, and they didn't answer that email. So I went to the gym today and they said the same again; that the only option available for me was to subscribe to the gym again, I explained that I don't want to re-join because i'm leaving and he couldn't do anything about it and he left without any intentions of solving the problem, saying that he has things to do... He left it clear for me that "he has more important things to do than arguing something that has no solution". He never accepted that the issue was that they did not kept their word, he was just focused on me not being a member now and for that he just took advantage of the situation and left. He even said that they are not forced to give me those weeks for free because the rule is not in writing! He said that to leave me with nothing to do. And it was clear for me that the gym just wants my money and does not care about me as a person.
I have no words for how he reacted and his way of being so closed minded, I just wanted for the gym to follow what they said they would do, but it's not the case. I was going to join the gym again when living in sydney in the future, but now I changed my mind.
I just want for the gym to be honest and follow what they said they would do, to refund the 31.15 dollars back (Two weeks) , and for the managers or who is in charge, to talk to the people supervising the gym in surfers paradise, for them to learn how to respond to queues and customers issues in a better and more professional way.

too hot inside of the gym and it's dirty
The temperature inside of the gym is too hot and unsafe. There are two units where one was set at 75° and the other at 73° but was registering the temperature at 77°. Also, there's trash everywhere on the floor and no one re-racks their equipment. We're constantly stepping over equipment which is unsafe as well. Unfortunately, this is the only decent gym in our area so we don't have many options for a workout facility. Can someone come and build a better workout facility here in Eagle Pass, Texas.
gym etiquette not enforced / staff ignore legitimate complaints & give excuses not solutions
Lodged multiple issues with Snap Fitness Preston, VIC, Australia staff, trainers and manager/s; about safety issues relating to non-enforcement of gym etiquette... such as, making sure customers and trainers put equipment away... so that others don't trip, collide and fall over/into gym equipment and paraphernalia.
On Several Occasions Prior to, including and following these dates;
4 August 2015
25 June 2016
23 Dec 2016
I have lost count of how many times I have gone to the Preston Gym (VIC) in the morning (around 06:30) to find weight plates strewn all around the gym on the floor! Weights over 20KG left on machines and barbells (even after the nice signs ask to respect others and place these plates back and limit loads for those that follow)!
Because I care and respect others, I pick them up and place them in their respective and appropriate places, racks or mounts.
I have raised this with the Gym's owner/s, manager and staff… they acknowledge their frustration to me (lip service) and have made limited attempts in placing writing on the walls as well as the pre existing signage... however this is obviously being ignored!
In my opinion, it has gone past the point of just placing signs up to be ignored, affirmative action needs to be taken. This should be in the form of verbal enforcement by staff (and trainers - seeing they make their living / money from this venue), their needs to be a enforced system of warnings, followed by financial fines, for repeat offenders X2... and on 3rd repeat offence should have their membership revoked (with all access cards surrendered).
A more positive styled approach, could be to promote an etiquette rewards program… which rewards, outstanding gym etiquette (behaviour), such as always leaves workout areas in an orderly way (weight away, machines attachments in boxes, steppers and mats racked etc), picks up discarded rubbish (wrappers, towels, tissues, bottles etc) and rewards them with things such as free membership periods or health products for those that have been found to be outstanding gym members or Poster and website recognition of their outstanding membership!
There is no excuse for gym management and staff for not getting on top of this; as there are camera's all around the gym that record and therefore provide evidence of these offenders with date/time stamps.
I hope you take these observations and suggestions seriously... as this is a way to improve your brand and be a leader in the industry.
I have attached pictures as evidence of these disgraceful behaviour and lack of professionalism…
Oh, by the way... this morning 23 Dec 2016. I raised this issue again with one of the trainers (Jesse) while he stepped over and ignored gym equipment which was laying around... and again he had a barrage of excuses... such as he had to pay the gym to train there (WTF - so how does that stop him from having pride in his place of work, putting equipment away, removes trip hazards, sets and example to his clients?) Another, he was in the middle of training a client (WTF - what about the in between rest periods, which either he or his client could tidy up?) It's ridiculous excuses like this that highlights an immature attitude and the poor management culture of this gym.
service and cleanliness of gym in hopkins, mn
Hello,
I have tried contacting my gym owner and after numerous messages I guess I have to come here. I keep getting calls saying there is a problem with my membership. So I have left three messages with the number is directs me too (which is gym owner Jennifer) I have also left messages to her direct cell phone, no response over the last two weeks. When I went into gym today my key didn't work, called and left another message, nothing... I have not changed banks our accounts numbers and can assure you there is plenty of money in my account to cover gym dues. I find it very unprofessional to let this happen and not being able to get a hold of anyone. Also gym is very dirty! Booger wall in bathroom that we (snap members had to clean) never any towels, spray or TP in bathrooms. I really like the people that go to my gym and I work out on my lunch breaks so it is very close to work. If not for these factors I would've left a very LONG time ago. I also have pictures of all this evidence of how dirty gym is. I have also got to the point I bring my own Lysol in to sanitize my machines being they never have any spray. :(

and want to share that how in India, this franchise owner is damaging this BIG Brand name.
Regards,
Virendra Singh
