Hi snap fitness centre,
I would like to bring to your notice the unprofessional / unsatisfactory service offered by snap fitness centre at springhill, brisbane, australia.
I am it consultant who is overweight and after 10 years of unhealthy lifestyle, I have finally decided to make a change in my life style and joined snap fitness last week.
Only to realise that I have got no help from any one at the fitness centre, I have enrolled $149 (Membership 5266733) which gives me 2-3 initial training classes. Till this day no trainer has contacted me, every time I am told that some trainer will contact me, but this has never happened.
Every time I go to gym, I don’t get any assistance or help, I don’t know which exercise to do, which machine to use and for how much duration.in last 1 week I have visited the gym 2 times, as I feel neglected and I have started losing my trust in your snap gym centre.
This attitude of snap fitness centre is demotivating me in achieving my objective of living a healthy life style.
It is concerning that people are promised a lot of thing while enrolling and once they have enrolled, they are ignored.

automatic renewal — watch the small print
When I signed up I clearly asked for a 6 month membership because I would be moving after that. The person who was helping me understood this, yet had me sign a contract with small print that allowed automatic renewal. My card was charged months after I stopped using the gym (after my initial 6 month membership ended, just as I had agreed -- and they could clearly see this in their system). When I called to let them know if this "mistake" the very arrogant manager refused to refund my money, even though I was charged for a time when I was not using her facilities. Why does that serve them well? It's theft. But they seem to get away with it often, given other reviews I've seen online. it's not even a great gym -- very small, with limited equipment, and rarely staffed. Their personal training offerings are very expensive and not very good.

Its been almost an year i am working out in snap fitness. My MID is 4792625 it was an worst experience in snap fitness Swasthya Vihar, Vikas Marg, New Delhi, India. They are just fooling there clients in the name of money. I have spent so much of money on it but when I am not able to go and wanted to transfer my membership to my brother and see my bill i was fooled by the staff of Snap Fitness. There was a scheme for 12 months in October'2015 which they launched saying you are getting 12 months membership in INR 7500/- and i paid it thinking its a good deal. But now when i see my bill they say there was no scheme we just upgraded your package for 9 months. I already paid INR 7000/- in the month of July'2015 for 3 months. They adjusted those 3 months (July '2015- September'2015) in my 12 months membership without informing and now they are saying we upgraded your package. I was fooled by the staff by paying double the amount. I guess they fooling all the clients and spoiling the name of Snap Fitness. After my experience I will not tell anyone to join snap fitness otherwise they will also be fooled. There is a receptionist name "Aanchal joshi" she don't know how to talk with client's, she is rude & the way she deals with thing's in unlearned manner. Seem's that she is untutored or uneducated women who doesn't know how to talk.
I regret being associated with Snap Fitness in any manner. If you just want to make money instead of making a name in the market then i should say fooling with your clients is the best option for you guys and if you want to make a name in the market then STOP FOOLING your clients. Just opening a club completes your duty?

poor instruction from personal trainer
I purchased a 30 day free trial for Snap Fitness and scheduled the orientation/fitness assessment on Tuesday February 16th with what I understood was a personal trainer. While doing the heart rate evaluation on the treadmill for 5 minutes I was advised after 5 minutes to step off the treadmill. I always turn off the machines before I step off but the personal trainer left it running at an incline and fast speed and without thinking I did what was asked and stepped off to the side - with one foot first. My other foot flew off the back of the treadmill but I held onto the side handles but the front shin of one leg is very badly scrapped and bruised and my elbow is also bruised. At no time did the trainer hit the emergency off button and I struggled to gain my footing. The scrape is very raw and about 7" long. Very reckless instruction with no care for safety. As this was an initial visit I am very shocked of the lack of care or concern, as the goal was to learn how to use the machines and evaluate my fitness level. I will have a scar that is for certain and i am fighting to keep infection away. Just short of needing stitches.

I want to express my disappointment and frustration in SNAP fitness. The company did not have the courtesy to provide a phone call / email regarding the gym location closure. Literally, the doors were open on 9/29/2015 – then the doors were closed on 9/30/2015. This is extremely poor business practices. During my 19 days of membership, the gym staff was not friendly, the club was dirty, and the equipment was malfunctioning.
30 day trial
I signed up for a 30 day free trial of the gym (which costs $8.95) for the card. This was a special offer online and it was specific to the Montevideo (Minnesota) club. Then after I have paid and haven't even received the card yet, I receive an email from the Montevideo club saying that they don't offer the 30 day trial and it will only be good for 7 days.

I received a debt collectors letter saying I owe snap fitness over 300 dollars for my membership even though they tell their clients that they are not set in a contract and that if your fortnightly payment is rejected that no further payments are charged, your key is simply disabled and you can't gain access to the gym until you fix the problem with snap and payments are taken out as normal again. So, one payment is rejected and my card is blocked so I can't use the gym for months and months and yet despite what they told me, they continue to charge me. This is a dirty business and if they can't be upfront and honest with their clients about the ins and outs of their business than you shouldn't join them! They aren't getting a cent out of me for that. Dirty pigs.
they haven't listened to my complaints
I became a member on the website www.snapfitness.com. I visited the club couple of times, but I was disappointed in it. The place was dirty and no one cleaned it. The windows were closed all the time and they haven’t allowed fresh air to get into the room. I called three times and complained about this place, but they didn’t react and do nothing. I cancelled my membership.

Put through two cancellation forms since 27th of October 2014. I understand the 30 day cancellation policy, yet I have had two payment runs since the end of my notice. Have tried phoning the company mobile number - ALWAYS goes through to voicemail. had left Voicemail, no response.
I would like these overdrawn payments returned to me through refund.

termination of membership
On October 1, 2014 I gave SNAP FITNESS the required 30 day notice to terminate my membership on November 1, 2014. They would not accept my notice as complying and indicated I must pay through the end of November. While I enjoyed my time a SNAP and probably would not have quit except for moving, I would not ever join again. They had minor flaws by not keeping the FM transmitters connected to the TVs and the local network of facilities also declined as neither the Flower Mound or Keller gyms appear to open.
I did try to appeal to a second associate that same day, but received a denial. I also emailed the corporate office without response as of this point in time.
terrible gym
I called them to ask when my contract was up and they told me August never telling me about giving 30 days notice. Then I asked again knowing it had to be up soon and the guy told me just come in and let me know before the end of the month what you decide and we will take you off. The next week I tell them we don't want to go there anymore and they tell me about the 30 day notice! So we paid our twelve months and now have to pay another month because we weren't told about the notice... Wow. Also their equipment is terrible, they always leave their brand new gym dirty and it is so crowded. I never should have signed up for a year contract. If you go to the gym 4-6 times a week like my husband and I do, DO NOT choose snap. You will be extremely disappointed.

charging after canceling
SNAP Fitness charged me for an additional month after I had given 30 days notice before the 1st of the month, as outlined in my contract. I was fully expecting to pay for the month following my cancellation but not an additional month. I gave exactly 30 days notice and was told after that my notice had to be submitted prior to the 25th of that month because of the billing company. NOWHERE in my contract does it state that cancellation must be submitted by the 25th of the month.
The owner was of no help and stated that several people have complained about that specific part of the contract so CLEARLY it is poorly written. The head office also neglected to return any of my emails.
This company is stealing money from it's clients and covering their tracks by hiding behind a poorly written contract. DO NOT SIGN CONTRACTS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I visited my Snap Fitness at the end of June to cancel my membership. I paid the one month cancellation fee. When I got my August Credit Card Statement, direct debits for the gym membership re-commenced being charged. I have tried numerous times by phone to contact the gym - but no one is interested in speaking to me and will not return my calls.
You should be aware that this type of one way contracts are held as illegal by Supreme Court. You should claim all the notice money back...search on the web for these details
missed payment fee
After experiencing fraud on our personal accounts, invisible malicious software was used to make a $35, 000 purchase, all if our accounts were cancelled and had to be reassigned... Snap charged our 16 year old son $25 because the payment didn't go through. Really, what a pathetic company you have, no compassion, no support, just take, take, take... Let me assure you business might be good at times, but in the end you will never be successful. Most successful companies have customer service, clearly you have none!
You have now permanently lost a customer, hope the $25 outweighed the $52.45 you would of received every month... He'll continue to work out at your competitors... Let's see how long you are in business in Fort Saskatchewan, AB... my bet is not long!

These people charge you for services you don't use and they are rude. They say when you try and quit you still owe them for an additional 30 days.
When I said fine, "take another $50.00 but it is you last", the little weasel at the desk started laughing smugly and sneered, "have a nice day". This place is a total RIPOFF. The $25. key charge is not refundable and they charge you an extra $50. when you try and quit.
There are better gyms and workout centers available. Stay away from this one. Blatant thievery.
kept taking money they were not owed
Snap fitness continued to take funds out of my bank for months after I cancelled my membership. The people of Snaps Corp. will not help, they obviously stand behind the crooks that have some of the franchises. Thankfully the Snaps that took money not owed to them is now out of business (not a surprise) but thankfully can't ripe off more people. Don't be duped by their advertising, better gyms are everywhere, do your homework before you join.
problems
The owner of this Snap Fitness sent an unsecured email to at least 3 Recipients that contained my full name, complete address, home and work phone number, date of birth, CREDIT CARD NUMBER and 3 digit security code. I would not trust my personal information with him again. I honestly had no issues with the operation of the snap fitness facility or the staff. I needed a place to work out and 24 hour access was great. But anyone who would be so careless as to email personal information and financial data of customers over unsecured Internet clearly can’t be trusted with thousands of other customer contracts and data.
They had every right, you can not trust anyone with your person information.
Also I like to share an issue I had with the Snap Gym in West Windsor NJ:
Here it goes, I was working out one day, and when I finished I moved my person items from the boses provided. Not relazing that I did not have my care, when I went back to the box I notice some one else was using it. I really wasn't sure which box I was using at the time, so I asked someone if I could look for my ID maybe they put their items on top, it was a problem, then I went to the other box, didn't see it. I had touch someone personal items and they go upset called me stupid, the person who allowed me to look informed this person calling me stupid that it was no big deal, and it was, the person got very upset that I had touch their personal items, I was not looking to steal anything I was just looking for my gym ID. I did find it on one of the other machines. I apologize to this person and left. Well I can in today to work out and this was address to me, this person conplain to the owner I had touch their personal items, and I think it was a dirty shirt or something. I explained to the owner what happen and he act as if this should not have happen, I should not have touch anyone personal items, I asked the owner what would happen if knowing so many person wear black that if they go to the wrong box what do you do. I just want to share this with all as well. just beware that you remember were your items are and that if you mistakenly go to the wrong box and touch someone else's items you may get in trouble. Now I don't feel good able going there any longer. Thank you for letting me vent

I am very upset with the Snap Fitness in St. John, Mi. They took money off my credit card for two months for no reason;. I was on the month to month|. They kept calling and harassing me to pay". I dont understand why they think they can take peoples money when I have not used their services|. I expect my money back that they stole from me, . I did not authorize them to take it, so my opinion they stole my money!. I am Very dissatisfied;. I Will not go back nor recommend Snap fitness to anyone! Ummm, if you were nto going to use the gym, why didn't you cancel your memberhsip? I'm guessing fitness is not part of your weekly routine?
The whole idea behind a 24 hour gym like Snap is to enable people to be able to workout at anytime, no making excuses. If you can't find 30 minutes at least twice a week for your health, well...
