So, this guy from Solgen Power came to my house tryna sell me some solar panels
So, this guy from Solgen Power came to my house tryna sell me some solar panels. He was all like, "it's gonna save you mad money on your electric bill, bro." He said I wouldn't have to pay nothin' upfront and my payments would be like half of what I'm payin' for electricity. He said my first payment would start in 18 months, but I was like, "Hold up, man, I gotta think about it." I never ended up signin' no contract or nothin'.
My son was chillin' with me at the time and he talked to the salesman. He thought it sounded like a good deal and said he'd talk to me about it. The salesman asked for my son's phone number, but he didn't give it to him. He only gave him his email address. We still didn't sign no contract, though.
Then, like 6 months later, Solgen sent some dudes to measure my roof and they were like, "we're hookin' you up with them solar panels, man. It ain't gonna cost you nothin'." I had read about how seniors were gettin' free solar, so I thought that's what this was all about. I'm 89 years old, by the way. So they installed the panels and put up some electric boxes and all that.
But then, like 2 months later, they hit me with the news that they couldn't finish the job 'cause I had to remove a storage room on the outside of my house. They said they didn't have enough space for their batteries or somethin'. They wanted me to pay for the removal, but I was like, "Nah, man, I can't afford that." They should've told me that before they started workin' on it, you know? This whole thing has been goin' on for like a year now, and finally, they agreed to pay for the removal of the storage room.
Meanwhile, they went ahead and sold my contract to some loan company or whatever, and now they're sendin' me bills. They say I owe 'em $45,000. But remember, the solar dude said I wouldn't have to make any payments until I was hooked up to solar and disconnected from my electric company. So I asked 'em to show me the contract I supposedly signed, and they sent it to me. But get this, my name was forged on it! I had never even seen that contract before. And they had my son's email address on there, sayin' that makes it legal or somethin'. But I still ain't been hooked up to solar yet. Ugh, this is a mess!

I recently had Solgen Power, LLC install solar panels on my roof and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the results
I recently had Solgen Power, LLC install solar panels on my roof and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the results. The whole process was smooth and the team was real nice. They explained everything to me in a way that even I could understand, which was a relief 'cause I ain't no expert on this stuff.
The panels themselves are top-notch. They look real sleek on my roof and blend in nicely. And let me tell ya, they're doin' their job. My electricity bill has gone way down since I got 'em installed. It's like I'm savin' money while helpin' the environment at the same time. Can't beat that!
I also gotta give a shoutout to the customer service at Solgen Power. Whenever I had a question or needed some help, they were there for me. They didn't make me feel dumb for askin' dumb questions, and they always had a friendly attitude. It's nice to deal with a company that actually cares about its customers.
Now, I ain't gonna lie, the price of the panels was a bit steep. But when I think about the long-term savings and the positive impact on the planet, it's worth it. Plus, Solgen Power offers some financin' options, so you don't have to pay it all upfront.
Overall, I highly recommend Solgen Power, LLC for anyone lookin' to go solar. They're professional, friendly, and their panels are top-notch. Trust me, you won't regret it.
I got Solgen Power to put solar panels on my house
I got Solgen Power to put solar panels on my house. But now, there's a leak in my roof and when it rains, water drips into my bedroom. I told Solgen Power about it, but they haven't completely fixed the roof leak. It's all because of their carelessness.
Solgen Power, LLC is not what they claimed to be
Solgen Power, LLC is not what they claimed to be. They promised us a $10000 credit towards our panels, but that turned out to be false. It's been 2 years and my solar system is still not up and running smoothly. I've encountered one problem after another. On top of that, they have been paying my solar loan for the past 7 months.
During a rainy period, I specifically told them not to drive on my property to avoid any damage. However, they disregarded my request and ended up driving on my property, leaving deep ruts that are 2 feet deep. It's frustrating that they didn't even bother to check the plans and realize that my property is in a floodplain. Now, they are facing even more problems than they should have in the first place.
I strongly advise against choosing this company. They are nothing but dishonest individuals who deceive and defraud their customers.

I got lied to by Solgen, no doubt
I got lied to by Solgen, no doubt. They said we'd get two smart thermostats during the installation, one for each air system. The salesman, ***, made it clear, no confusion. But we didn't get any paperwork, just his laptop presentation. Our salesman, who was great, quit because he was sick of these issues. Now, no one at Solgen knows what I'm talking about when I ask about my smart thermostats or when they'll arrive. They said we'll get a check once the system is running, but I doubt it. With all the delays, missed appointments, and no-shows, I won't recommend them to anyone.
We got a solar system from Solgen Power, LLC about a year ago
We got a solar system from Solgen Power, LLC about a year ago. They told us it would cut our electric bill by a whopping 89%. We shelled out nearly 25 grand for the system, but now we're paying even more for electricity each month compared to before we had solar. In July, our highest bill from TEP was $227, and that's on top of our solar payment. They promised that 89% of our TEP bill would be covered, but it's only covering around 30%. At first, they blamed it on winter and said the system wasn't producing enough. But now that summer's here, they're saying everything is working fine on their end. This is what I paid for! I spoke to TEP twice and went over all the details about the solar panels and what they're producing. TEP confirmed both times that the panels aren't generating enough power. I've been battling with Solgen for a whole year, but they keep dodging my calls and refusing to fix the problem. Come January, when the loan payment goes up, I'll be forking out over $100 extra each month for electricity with these panels compared to without them.
The sales rep said a bunch of stuff that turned out to be wrong
The sales rep said a bunch of stuff that turned out to be wrong. He said we'd get 10,000 bucks when we did our taxes, but turns out it's based on how much money we make and it's just a tax credit, not a guaranteed thing like he said. So now our monthly payment for the panels is gonna go up to 180 bucks instead of 130, and he said it would only go up to 170 if we didn't use the 10,000 towards the panels. We didn't qualify for the tax credit and even loanpal says he shouldn't have said that. He also said we wouldn't have to deal with TEP anymore, but we still gotta pay them taxes and fees, plus a monthly bill that's almost the same as before we got the panels. He also said we'd get checks from the electric company for making extra energy with the panels, but that's a lie too. When I called to complain, they said the panels only cover about 70% of what we use in the house. The first time I called to complain back in October , Xavier said the sales rep got fired for lying to customers. If that's not admitting they messed up, then I don't know what is. Now I'm trying to take legal action to get out of this 30-year contract that's based on lies.
Solgen Power, LLC was a real disappointment for us
Solgen Power, LLC was a real disappointment for us. Two salespeople came to our house and fed us with deceitful and sneaky information. Before we bought the solar system, our regular electric bill was $267.00 per month on the budget plan. They promised that the installation would only take 1-2 days, but they ended up staying for nearly 2 weeks. They never bothered to explain how they would install the solar panels, and now I understand why. They drilled a whopping 116 holes in my roof to put up the 29 panels.
During their sales pitch, they claimed that our electric bill would be reduced to around $29.11. However, the solar panels cost us a hefty $37,000. We had to finance it and pay Sunbright Financial $153.00 each month. Now, here's the kicker: my first electric bill after switching to solar came in at $130.24. The next one was $115.30. Solgen agreed to cover my electric bill while they investigated the issue. They initially said that some panels were not producing energy, so they came to the house 2-3 times a week for the first 3 weeks to fix it.
Three months passed, and our bill was $186.95. They paid it and claimed they would monitor the system. In the fourth month, the bill was $131.37. Now they were worried because they had been paying my electric bill since the switch to solar. They called me and said they believed they had identified the cause of the high bills: a tree in my front yard was casting shade on some of the panels. They suggested I trim the tree, which I found ridiculous because the installers and panel designers had already done aerial shots to determine the best placement. Despite my frustration, I reluctantly agreed to let them pay for the tree trimming.
Now, in the fifth month, the bill arrived, and it was a staggering $198.81. Remember, I am still paying $153.11 each month for the panels. I called *** from Solgen, and she texted me saying there was nothing more they could do and advised me to contact Tucson Electric Power to check for any issues on their end. I strongly advise against using Solgen. Please, save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.
