Sono Bello refund of my $1,000 they still have

I am 65 years old on Social Security with no job & no car. I ride the bus. I barely make ends meet, barely have enough money to buy groceries let alone pay monthly for a $7, 000.00 face/neck lift. I was basically talked into the contract by a beautiful woman. I have an ugly old face that needs work which I could never afford. I was not told if I cancelled my contract that I would not be able to get my $1, 000 returned to me. I sent them an email called that office to no avail.

Sono Bello thin air, fort worth tx bridge st facility

Girl friend and I went on the 7th of february to consult about the weight loss treatment thin air. Well we signed uo had dated mind you the lady kelly mccoy qould not let us make appointments for treatment ynless we paid a dswposit of 995. So we did that had dates for procedure to start 14, 21 and 28 now this is the dates we where given. We recieve an email from kelly tellingus oh you cant have these dates and pushed our procedure a month out. Now I have contacted her 2x by email qanting to know why qhen we signed she was so persistent to get the money and then cant hold up to agreement on her end no respond. Guess what no refund on deposit. Fraud im turning them in to bbb.

They did the same thing to me at the end of 2018. I called them within 3 days of setting my appointment. Went to voice mail. Then I got the 'you have to talk to this person' game for two days. When I finally spoke to the office manager, I was told the sales person(because that's really what she was) was no longer with the company. I fought to get my money back to no avail. So I am down $4500 and didn't have a darn thing done to me. It's a crock. And based on what I'm hearing I'm glad I didn't go through with it! But I sure could use that money back for a reputable firm/doctor!

Sono Bello trisculpting

I paid 3, 000 cash for my back (Plastic Virgin). Doctor did extra areas which would have been good but took out more from my left side than right. I never had a follow up appointment or call from sonobello Scottsdale and currently am having to deal with back issues due to incorrect procedure and terrible after care, as in I paid 75$ for a garment I was unaware I needed to purchase until after surgery which did not cover the area that was done which was my back and sides so the nurse just picked what was closest which didn't cover 50% of the area done (lower half of my back). I received an uneven back with lumps on the right side a year later now, no follow up treatment, and no compression garment that held the areas done. I would not recommend, even after trying to contact them respectfully complete silence. Spend the money, go to Beverly Hills or Miami. I was awake the whole time, it was no walk in the park by any means had to ask for extra numbing but he said it couldn't be done until he got the tube under my skin, I thought that was right until I heard friends stories of it being PAINLESS!

Sono Bello experience

I had an appointment with this location for February 1, 2018 at 4p.m. Before the visit I received a phone call advising me that the person I would be seeing had an emergency and could I come in earlier. This was around 12:30 p.m. I agreed to a time of 1 p.m. and was told I would be seen immediately upon arrival. Less than 2 minutes later I received another phone call from them telling me since I was just around the corner to come immediately and that after filling out the paper work I'd be seen "immediately" since the individual had to be leaving for an emergency. Took me less than 5 minutes to arrive as directed, filled out the paper work only to sit 45 minutes and another individual was taken before me. Since I was instructed to come immediately because this individual had an emergency I didn't think I should still be waiting 45 minutes and still would be waiting another 15 minutes or more I thought about rescheduling my appointment. After thinking about it if this is the way they run their business I didn't feel comfortable in trying a second time so I left. My time is just as valuable as theirs as I'm the one paying their salary. How good could the surgery be if the staff cannot even book appointments. I found this to be seriously impolite and discourteous. Bottom line think about this place before you "try" to get an appointment.

Dont waste your money! 18 thousand dollars down the drain. Still not seeing the results the said I would one the magic "6 month mark" came...on my 7th month now and not convinced they even removed ANY fat from the area I told them was the most important. So frustrated with the whole experience. From having my appointment for my 2nd surgery pushed back by a month to waiting over 45 mins after my appt time. It was always something. Pissed that I wasted not only money but about a month off work. I'm still numb in some spots and swollen in others.

Sono Bello laser libo

I have done my procedure 6 months ago with a promise that the result will be perfect to match the customer expectation. I pay $9034 for my procedure so now it's over 6 Months and I'm very disappointed cause it's nothing Work and I spent that much money, All I feel is my belly is numb and still hanging like before there is no before and After ... I need that Money Back 😡😡😡😡

Sono Bello lipo

I had Lipo done on my Abs, love handles and flanks. I am very unhappy with the results as well as with the follow up by Sono Bello. I have expressed that the results were minor, if any, multiple times with no one from Sono Bello following up. I finally spoke to someone who told me after my 6 month appointment I could be evaluated only if I was at the weight I was prior to the procedure. I gained 5 pounds since the procedure that I have not lost. I became so frustrated I went and got a second opinion which confirmed that only 1 of the 3 areas I paid for actually looks like something was done. It is apparent where Sono Bello stopped and is obvious the only area treated was my abs. I paid a lot of money and feel like I received nothing, not even good treatment as a patient. I would not recommend Sono Bello to anyone. They have done nothing to try and rectify this situation. It was a complete waste of $5500. They do not do what they advertise or charge you for.

Sono Bello Trisculpt & venus freeze/legacy

I had a trisculpt procedure done on my abdomen on august 2015 in the orlando, fl office by dr. Siemian. I spent over $7k with this and 10 venus freeze/legacy treatments which were both recommended by chelsey bishop. It has now been over 2 years and I told them from the beginning that I was not happy with my results. While my abdomen looks better I know I should look way better than it does especially for $7k. They kept telling me that they took out all the fat that is allowed by law which I don't believe. I believe the surgeon did not want to look bad and admit he did not take enough out so he lies to cover himself. Keep in mind I am 5' 6" tall and only weight 155lbs.

Furthermore, I went to the sono bello office in cincinnati, ohio to finish 8 of my venus treatments. Unfortunately, I was not seeing results on my abdomen, at all, after 8-10 visits. I was then told by office manager, sherry jones, that these treatments did not work well on the abdomen and should be used on areas like the face where it helps with collagen production. Keep in mind this procedure came highly recommended by chelsey bishop in orlando and cost me over $2, 000. Why would you allow me to have 8-10 treatments before telling me this? To further add to my disappointment I had to drive 2.5 hours 1 way to get to this office. After making a compiaint, I was given 5 extra treatments which I decided to use on my face. No one explained to me that the heat from this device could cause broken blood vessels on my cheeks. Afterwards, they tried to act like they told me and then acted as if this was a preexisting condition which really upset me.

Also, when dealing with sherry on making a complaint against my previous trisculpt procedure I was so upset at how poorly she treated me. She was extremely rude, impatient and gave a lot of attitude. I can not believe she is an employee here much less a manager. Very disappointing experience here and with sono bello in general! Wished I could get my $7k back and go elsewhere!

Sono Bello sono bello incompetent butchers performing liposuction.

Michael Gellis is a incompetent butcher performing liposuction and ruining people for life. Not to mention charging innocent unsuspecting patients.

SonoBello has thousands of complaints yet is still pushing procedures and butchering people, how is this possible.

I requested a refund for my botched, butchered procedure and was ignored.

BEWARE! AVOID SONOBELLO and MICHAEL GELLIS DANGEROUS, MENACE, INCOMPETENT!

Sono Bello lazor lipo

When you first go here you speak to a sales person, not a medical personal or anyone who knows anything about the outcomes. I spent about 12, 000.00 here, big waste. I was told visit after visit that I was still swolen and it would get better. After about 3 months I demanded to see a Doctor (which is almost impossible). I received an appointment with one, I called to follow up to ensure I still had an appointment with this doctor, I was told she was busy and I could not see her. I called again and again, finally got in with the doctor (mine I was told "you can see why he is no longer with us"), I got in to see the doctor, she sat down, her elbows on her knees, hands on her chin, and she sat there shaking her head back and forth. She said I needed more lipo and corrected, you can tell spots were not done and lines put in were not right. This doctor wanted me to see another doctor there stating he would be better at correcting this. When I went to this appointment I was told he would not fix it as I still would not be happy. I was told by Sono Bello if I paid another 3, 600.00 they would redo everything. The lady in charge of the office talked the first doctor into approving one spot. I was so devistated I cancelled the appointment. Once spot I would still be a mess. One visit I was there the staff was talking in the hallway, there was a customer who had a rash on their face after a procedure, they were told to tell the customer that it was rosacea as they were a good canidate for this. It took me 2 years to show my husband the shape I am in, the 2nd doctor there even told me if I lost weight it would only look worse. I will not be able to fix what they did, financially it is not feasable. Please save yourself the pain I see everyday, save a little more and go to a good place.

I really wished I would have seen this before I had mine done. I am so mad about the money I have spent and I look horrible. There is no way I can be in a bathing suit or be seen naked. It’s been 2 months and I look mutilated.

Sono Bello facelift

Todays date is 8/27/17...In January 2017 I had a facelift and My eyes fixed by Dr. Malcom Lesavoy in Sacramento, CA. The surgery went well it seemed. On the way home that evening "which I do not remember", I started ripping off my bandages. My sister took me right back to the office. They called the Dr. in and they rewrapped my bandages. I was coming out of medication at this time so I do remember this part. The Dr. was in surgery at the time and he left his patient to come see me. Then 2 wks later I returned to the Office to have my stitches taken out. I was heeling very well. The Dr. was pulled out of surgery again to take a quick look at me. He's very friendly, don't let that fool you. Then I go for a 3 month check up, again they pull Dr. out of surgery to talk to me. My eyes do not close right and I have dry eyes at night. My left ear is completely numb and anytime I start to chew anything I get a pain up the side of my face. His response was to give me a cortisone shot. It's been 8 months now and nothing has changed. My face looks OK but the effects of the surgery are still here. Also I had a lot of hair loss at me temples and behind my ears. Dr. joked about that. My nerosurgen said there is nothing he could do to fix this. A nerve was cut and cannot be repaired. I'm sure Dr. left my surgery several times to see other patients because the surgery was to take 2 to 3 hrs. and mine took 6. Dr. Lesavoy is no longer with Sacramento office. He's in the LA Office now. I'm disappointed to think I will have these effects the rest of my life. Dr. Lesavoy or Sonobello could care less .

Sono Bello venus treatments

On 7/25/17 I purchased venus treatments from Sono Bello. Before I had any treatments done I learned that my house was in foreclosure. (I've been going through a divorce for over a year and my ex-spouse-to-be had possession of our marital home.) For over two weeks I asked for a refund, because I need the refund to pay my back mortgage and to save my home. On 8/14/17 I was told that Sono Bello will not refund my money, and was told that it's their procedure not to issue refunds. They said I could apply for a credit. I cannot apply for a credit at this time, as my house is in forclosure, which means my credit score is already being affected. Because Sono Bello refuses to acknowledge there are human beings involved in this, and that I'm dealing with a situation that I did not cause, and they're merely relying on their "its our procedure" line I'm going to lose my home. Today I asked for the contact information (name, email address, phone #, mailing address ) of her supervisor and the president of the company. I will continue to fight for my home.

Sono Bello micro laser lipo procedure - scam stay away!!!

On December 3, 2016, I got microlaser lipo done in my top, middle, and waist in my abdominal area and the free area was my pubic area. Dr. Azarian said that most patients go back into work on the third day. She also told me that I would have a “slight overlay” in my abdominal area after the procedure. She told me that most patients wear the garment for at least 3 months and all day long. She told me to not diet and just eat whatever I want. In the procedure, I told Dr. Azarian that the procedure was very painful. She said well talk about something else and don’t think about it. Is this how a surgeon resolves how I feel? Honestly, I thought it was extremely rude, insensitive, and unprofessional. Dr. Azarian insisted that I remove fat from the pubic area instead of the upper arm fat. Mind you, the upper arm fat looks disgusting and unappealing. After the procedure the office staff especially Jianara, the front desk receptionist was very curt and rude. I called the fourth or fifth day after the surgery telling how that this garment is way too tight and it is suffocating my sternum. She said, I am not giving you the more comfortable and expensive one at our office and don’t you want to spend your money right for once? Excuse me, it is none of anyone’s business what or how I spend my money? So she told me that I had to come in and get another less comfortable garment. I told her excessively that I needed to meet with the physician. She wouldn’t give me an appointment with the physician and instead I saw a nurse. I asked the nurse, so is this normal? My stubborn fat area has a major overlay. The nurse couldn’t answer the question and said instead, you should have seen the physician. I get done with my appointment and again Jianara is at the front desk, she sat there arguing with me that none of the patients see the physician at the 3-month follow-up and you only see the nurse. I told her that doesn’t matter, I demanded to see the physician and you still made an appointment for me to see the nurse. She argued with me for 30 minutes. In the meantime, I suffered mental health severely such as anxiety and depression. I got really depressed that I dropped $5, 000 dollars for this wasteful procedure and my stubborn fat in my abdominal area still looks the same. In fact, the slight overlay of fat is at least 3 inches around. I have a thick jelly roll. The microlaser lipo procedure disfigured my body. The slight overlay is bulging forward and the fat is so hard that I have been at the gym for the past 3-4 months and I can’t lose it. I dieted since March of 2017, my diet consists of 5 liters of water, tofu, salmon, vegetables, and fruits. If I didn’t diet or exercise, I would have been a 200 lb whale. There is no change in my pubic area. I knew in my heart that I wanted the upper arm fat removed but Dr. Azarian was adamant that I wouldn’t see a change. Shouldn’t it be up to the patient’s decision at the end? When I had an issue with the surgery or the office staff, only Jessica the sales coordinator would phone call me to resolve the problem. I am sorry but Jianara should be fired and the doctor should go back to school. I have gone to other surgeons who have worked for Sonobello and they have told me that I have gotten ripped off. My mom and sisters see no change in my abdominal area. I have been so depressed and even Sonobello has been forcing me to do a noninvasive procedure and to do a 6 month followup. Well 8 months have gone by and it isn’t right or fair for Sonobello to take my 8 month pictures to make a final decision if I get a refund or not. I had to diet and exercise for the past 4 months or so. I didn’t go back for a 6 month followup due to the rude and unprofessional staff and the surgeon apparently doesn’t work there anymore. I am extremely dissatisfied with the microlaser lipo. Now 3-4 inches thick jelly roll has hardened. It is so hard for me to lose it. Sonobello said that after this procedure, I don’t need a tummy tuck. The fat is so hard, it is going to take me at least 2-3 years to lose that fat in the gym. I don’t need another surgeon to make a judgment call. I want a full refund of $4, 800 because my medical reasoning is that I suffered extreme mental health and disfigurement from the microlaser lipo procedure. I see my stomach every day when I get out of the shower or change clothes in the mirror. It makes me feel depressed that I didn’t in my stomach area, angry that I got ripped off, and hurt how I was mistreated from Sonobello. I have been extremely depressed and anxious that my physician had to increase my dosage. I have read complaints on Sonobello in Tampa, Florida. Let’s not forget that this is the same company that was sued for killing a patient due to lidocaine toxicity. Sonobello gave the family $1.8 million or more just to put things under the rug and continue their business. I declined getting another procedure done by Sonobello even if it is noninvasive, they have done such a horrible job already. I don’t want to go with a repeat or go through excruciating pain. Other patients are right, their painkillers were a joke. The 3rd day after my surgery, I was crying in agony…I had to call out of work. Even the 4th day back to work, I was in extreme pain. Also, my swelling lasted more than 6 months. To me, that is abnormal. I wasn’t lifting or doing anything unusual. Hopefully, I am not bruising inside still and causing more damage to my body. Sonobello only knows how to rip off patients and their patients are just numbers, they don’t really care about us, if they did, they should refund all the bad and dissatisfying procedures such as mine. Please contact your local news and tweet about Sonobello ripping us off and not caring!

Sono Bello body contouring

I had scheduled a procedure and unfortunately broke my foot and was going to have to postpone my procedure. I asked for a refund and was given a sales pitch. I cannot get into contact with anyone and there is delay after delay. Also, I was emailed another patient's information, HIPAA violation. I sure hope my information wasn't sent out. I'm still waiting for some type of communication and if I don't get it today, I will cancel credit on my card. I feel my foot was a blessing in disguise!

Sono Bello the freezing and removing fat

Son belle is a fraud, they don't tell you that if you have stretch marks
the procedure make not work, or that if you don't have a flat enough already stomach that no matter how much fat that is being removed your stomach will not be like the commercials! I had a lower and upper abdomen and back
procedure done, I have the marks on my back where they made entry but the roll never left! Pretty much everything is much worst than before, I'm a Shamed of my body more than before

Sono Bello liposuction / fraud

I went to Sono Bello at the Bellevue, WA location for a consultation for the upper and lower abs. At my appointment, I met with the Sale representative, Kiely D' Intino. She quoted me two areas for $3735. I discussed with her about my buttock area, and she advised to do two lipo on the waist and hips to hide the depth on both sides. She said my buttock going to look great and that I will see the overall result in a week. So I ended up buying two more areas waist and hips. She gave me another quote for fours area at $6500 if paid in full so I did. At Pre-Op appointment. I met with the surgeon and the nurse. I addressed my concerns in regards to the buttock area because I was worried that by doing the hips and waist I would not get the result as promised by the Sale representative. The surgeon stated it does but cannot guarantee the results from the lip because everyone body is different. He suggested getting the lower hips done as well to hide the depth on the corners. So that mean two more areas on top of the four areas I already paid for. I didn't expect to hear that from the surgeon and felt like the Sale representative misled me by promising to do the waist and hips are all I needed. Therefore, I was stunned that I need to do two more lipo on the lower hips for the best result. After meeting with the surgeon, I didn't feel comfortable doing the procedure there anymore and felt that all they wanted was my money. Stupid of me, I paid in full already and cannot cancel my surgery. Therefore, I decided to do the upper and lower abs only. I called Kiely, the Sale Representative back and asked to cancel the waist and hips areas. I asked if I do two areas will the fee be the same for $3735 which she originally quoted me for? She stated yes and sent me a revised Procedure Quote same day. She went over my refund amount and that I will receive a refund of $2765. I agreed with it, signed the revised Procedure Quote form and sent back. I changed my surgery date a day earlier as well.

After my procedures, I waited 7 days and I didn't see my refund. I emailed Kiely for the refund status and she replied and advised she sent the refund request to Accounting Department. Asked to allow 7-10 business days to see the refund credited back to my credit card. A week later, she sent me an email stating

"I wanted to follow up with you regarding your refund. Your refund has been approved, but the total of $2765 was not. The discount per area pricing you received was if you had 3 areas completed. Since there were only 2 your treatment price breaks down as follows: Upper abs $3000, lower $1500, surgical fee at 1295 = $705 refund. You are able to transfer the areas you wish to be refunded to any other areas OR to our Venus (skin tightening) treatments. Otherwise we will process your refund for $705.
I apologize for the confusion and would be happy to walk your through the break down."

After I had read her email, I called her right away to dispute the refund amount. I told her you quoted me two areas for $3735, I agreed and continued to the surgery date. You or anyone at Sono Bello did not inform me about the additional fee or cost that I need to pay extra if I go with two areas before my surgery, and now you want to deduct from my credit after I had the surgery. What kind of practice or business is this? Unacceptable, misleading, fraud and very dishonest. I told her I expect a refund of $2765 as promised and that is it! If I don't get my refund, I will hire an attorney to deal with them and file a dispute with my credit card company.

She didn't say anything and will let me know about my refund.

I will never come back to Sono Bello EVER AGAIN or refer anyone here. Inferior service and all they care about are getting your money!

Sono Bello venus treatment and lipo

I would tell anyone and everyone I know not to go to Sonobello. There is such a lack of communication between the Sales people and the staff at the clinic. I was told the procedure would be 1395.00 for each area of the body. The cost was twice that, $2695.00 and the sales person told me I had a credit line that was such I would have to put down $4000.00 in order to finance the rest. Stupidly I agreed to this. Then I was told the fee for backing out of a procedure was $950.00. She had the bill at a whopping $12, 000.00. The lady went through the paper work so fast I hardly had time to go over it and she said the other ladies were wanting to go home and we were taking too long. So after that I was suppose to have the Venus treatment free. Free, ummm no it was figured into the cost of the sale for the Lipo. Next she told me to go over to get the treatment on a Saturday. She said they will give you something for fever blisters because likely this would cause them because it was kind of hot and close to your lips. I drive 2 hours over to the clinic only to get a phone call about the time I was suppose to arrive and they tell me the sales person should not have scheduled me on a day that the doctor was not even there. That my pre-op was not scheduled. I told them my paper work says my pre-op is on the 18th of the month not today. They said we do not have you down for a Venus treatment, only for the pre-op for your surgery. So I said well I was not suppose to see the doctor only get the Venus Treatment. They said OK well I guess you can come. We are not busy. There was not a soul around and I was kind of uncomfortable because the building was deserted. I go in and the lady says what took you so long to get here, the girls told me you were already here. I said well the lady answering the phone was unable to direct me into the right building and the GPS was not picking up on the front of the property only the back so I have been driving around in the area for 20 minutes or longer. I go in and I ask her if she was going to give me the fever blister medicine and she says oh no, we don't do that. Who told you that? I said the lady that took my money. She said well, I know everyone says that girl is really nice but she tells people things that just are not true and does not know what she is talking about. So we start the treatment no questions about me at all. 5 minutes in my face is on fire and the girl says you are getting really red. Then 5 more minutes and she says we have to stop your face is really red and I am afraid to continue. So I said OK, yeah its burning. I told them I don't know what is going on it could be my meds I take maybe. I leave with only 10 minutes of a 30 minute treatment. I told them, I was suppose to have 3 of those. Will I be refunded or compensated. She said well you will have to take it up with your sales person. I leave and within a few hours my face stopped being so red but was covered in what looked like pimples. I am not allergic to anything so I am thinking it must have not been cleaned in between people. I was very uncomfortable about the whole ordeal. I told the management at Sonobello I did not wish to continue with this. I did not want to do the lipo. Because what if this communication breakdown continues throughout all of the departments and communicating with doctors. What if the tools were just as dirty and I got an infection. If they don't even ask you what meds you are taking or if you are allergic to anything, what is going to happen? I felt like for $12, 000.00 They should have been more organized and communicate with each other. That if someone is going to do surgery on a huge portion of my body they needed to be able to communicate the necessary procedures. When I told her everything that happened she said well first of all they should not have touched you for the Venus treatment before a doctor had seen you. So that was another screw up. I said well it is just too much I just need to cancel. Well I got an email from the big wig finance person and she told me I would not get any of the $4000.00 dollars back. Well let me just say this is bull! $4000 dollars to give me a bad case of the run around and a face full of pimples. I don't think that's right. My advice to anyone wanting to use these people. Beware, you are about to be parted from your money.

Contact the Surgeon General of the USA, this needs to happen to all that have lived through this...they ruined my wife, she will not even take her shirt off any more, making love is slim, she cries daily when she looks in the mirror. I am sending all pictures, articles, all what I sent them, letters, recordings of our conversation...even the one where they explain mapping vs real light...if you take a picture in true light my wifes stomach looks like the elephant mans face and I was told she is a success story. We need to band together! Its the only way! I am having a 'show my wife success pictures at the Denver office in early December 2019 to show all the new clients what they will look like after the surgery and I will show them where the CMO and Dr Ordon stated my wife was a success story...I was told this by the reginal director Brett Colbo when he called and said the sonabella panel says she is a success story. The mapping...this is the room with a high white light, with a light gray screen for you to sit in front of and you must stand in the position they tell you...but, when you go outside and take your pictures you can see how they mutilated you...but, they stand by the only pictures they care about is the ones they take..in the bright light, in the small room...its just like the old snake oil salesman, they just refined it for sonabella. CONTACT THE SURGION GENERAL! Today! With all your documents, pictures, lets show sonabella they are no longer in charge!

After they mutilate your body getting money back is impossible, unless we make it possible. Contact the office of the surgeon with photos and your story, the more we get to contact him the more power we have. They killed my wife, mentally...emotionally...she is so disgusted with how she looks she refuses to let me see her body (husband) and making love now is almost impossible. I am asked daily if I will leave her because of what she looks like...and this was her stomach...we have no rights unless we take it to the right person...send articles, your story, your pictures all to the OSG (Office of the Surgeon General) Lets flood his office so he cannot ignore what sonabella is doing...pass this on! In December I will be holding my own show off your pictures day at the Denver office. They said my wife was a success, so are they going to kick me out for showing the pictures they have said are a success? Sounds like if they kick me out they would have some explaining to do...Why would you kick out a guy showing pictures of what they have said is a successful surgery of my wife? Have you seen any commercials with any one over 30 with a shirt off? All the models they show except one of a 25 year old. Elasticity is what they do not tell you...your skin over a certain age will not bounce back and it would not be a worry if you had a qualified plastic surgeon...but these clowns are pulled from the bottom of the group of doctors just to make cash...if it was not all about cash...getting a refund would not take an act of congress... they made it this way so no refunds are possible...and on top of this you have to walk around knowing you paid someone to destroy your body...mentally they screw you both ways.

Sono Bello sono bello liposuction treatments

To whom it may concern:
Complaint regarding Sono Bello, Bellevue, WA unethical business practices, unprofessional conduct, misleading advertising, and false representations.

I am writing to inform you of my absolute disappointment with my experience at Sono Bello in Bellevue, WA and my enormous regret of believing to a sales person, Bethany Mikkola, on May 18th, 2016, who gave me false information during my consultation about results I could expect, assured me of a guarantee of results, bluntly lied and omitted the risks of procedure, manipulated my inconfidence and weak points to book the procedure for the very next day (May 19th), charge my credit cards before I even had a consultation with doctor. As a result of these deceptive representations and deceptive trade practices, I ended up with uneven, lumpy legs and big noticeable bulge on my left leg. While the horrible outcome of procedure is due to negligence and incompetence of Dr. Scott C. Sattler, who hasn’t even performed the liposuction procedure on my primary targeted area (front of the Knee area) as I only found out about it later on March 7th, 2017 when it slipped out of another surgeon, Dr. Marco Sobrino. Apparently, based on Dr. Sobrino’s words they don’t even do liposuction of front knee because it can cause indentation or skin can collapse. I was astounded to hear that 10 months from the day when Bethany Mikkola assured me that there is no place better than Sono Bello for this procedure, lured into buying two more areas (inner thighs and anterior thighs) in addition to what I initially wanted, my knees, in order to achieve a consistent appearance. Sono Bello doesn’t do procedures on front knees and I am not a good candidate for that anyway (according to Dr. Sobrino, not Dr. Sattler and Bethany Mikkola who found me to be a good candidate to pay for that). And that’s what I have been told after ten months of frustration, expressing my concerns for lack of results in that area, begging Dr. Sattler to do revision surgery and remove more fat from the front knee to make it proportionate with my upper thighs, getting humiliated and lied to like there was something wrong with me for not having the results that I paid for. Dr. Sattler managed to perform finish my surgery (supposedly three areas) in 40 minutes. A designated person who was supposed to take me home after procedure was called by a nurse to come in and pick me up earlier than it was initially planned. Only 1700 ccs of pure fat was taken out using tumescent liposuction method, which “allows for more fat to be removed and is ideal for larger body areas” as it states in Sono Bello consent form that I was given to sign. 1700 ccs total from three areas on my legs ( the largest part of my body), from a person with BMI 27.6 and having to pay $1, 595 per area, not as advertised $1, 100 per area, that’s because according to Bethany Mikkola a doctor would have to spend more time to remove more fat with higher BMI patients. Soon after the surgery, I noticed a huge bulge in the middle of my inner thigs, I expressed my concerns, but I was told to wait three months mark. By three months mark, I noticed that there is indentation in upper thighs where the cannula was inserted and it forms a flab when I raise and bend my legs right above the incision area and right underneath, the bulge on my left leg in the middle of inner thig is still there and, no difference in knee area, neither the front of the knee, nor the inner areas of knees. My legs look unproportionate, upper thigs don’t taper down to knees area, the knee area’s circumference is almost the same as upper thigh’s, because all of the fat that was removed was removed just from upper thigs. After 7 months mark, I insisted on seeing Dr. Sattler with someone else to be present as a witness. Dr. Sattler was rude, told me not to tell him how to do his job, that’s how he does it (that must be what that “highly-customized the nature of procedures that Sono Bello advertises on their website and TV commercials means) and sometimes bulges, indentation, and no change in treated area happens. He said he is willing to do revision surgery to get rid of the bulge on my leg, but he won’t touch my front knee because he doesn’t feel comfortable removing more fat that he already did and he gave me a number 9000 ccs that he removed from my legs. I do not know where that number came from, but I think Dr. Sattler took my emotional condition (I was crying) mistakenly for stupidity. I begged the doctor that day to get anything done about my knee area, I said that I will sign a consent form saying that I am ok with sagging skin and wrinkle skin that may result from liposuction of the front knee area as long as my legs do no look like a column and look balanced. I even asked him if the fat he removed from upper thighs ca be put back. He finished with saying that I have a choice to either take his offer for revision surgery on that bulge of my leg or nothing and walked out. I asked a nurse to show me my medical charts, and tell me how much fat was removed from my procedure in May. 1700 ccs.
I left crying. Coming to Sono Bello has been the worst mistake I have done in my life. I paid for this procedure back in May 18th, 2016 with my three credit cards, with money that I didn’t have, believing a sales person that it will transform my life for the better. A week later on May 25th, 2016 I lost my job due poor performance at work. And my debt that I accrued from getting liposuction at Sono Bello became a financial burden that I am still trying to pay off almost a year from the day of surgery.
The following events took place and my I haven’t had a single good post-operative experience.
05/18/2016 Consultation with Bethany Mikkola at 3:30 pm. She offered a hard-to fill next day procedure discount if I pay right away. That day I met Dr. Sattler for 30 seconds, he greeted me, glance at my legs, confirmed that I was a good candidate for the procedure, walked out. I was under impression that doctor had a lot of experience in performing procedures like mine that he doesn’t even bother discussing my expectations with me because it’s a basic and the simplest procedure and he knows exactly what he is doing. Neither Dr. Sattler, nor any other licensed health care provider explained the risks and side effects of the procedure, evaluated my medical history, discuss my expectations, gave me a chance to ask questions, none of what should have been done that would allow me to make a right decision that day and walked out from Sono Bello office. I imagine that the response to that would be I signed the papers, agreement that I have all my question answered. Although, as per my initial complaint, I had my questions answered and discussed my expectations and results that can be achieved, which included a guarantee of results and backed up by Sono Bello’s assurance policy, by a sales person and never a doctor that did my surgery. And I agreed to pay based on what I was told by Bethany Mikkola.
05/19/2016 The surgery was at 8:30. I checked in at 7:45 am. The duration of surgery was 40 minutes.
06/02/2016 Post-surgery check at 11:30 am.
09/07/2016 Post-surgery check 3-month mark at 11:00 am.
10/11/2016 Post-surgery check 5-month mark at 11:30 am. Expressed my concerns: no results in knee area and a bulge on left leg. Nurse said, I am still healing.
11/17/2016 Post-surgery check 6-month mark. Met Dr. Sattler. He admitted noticing bulge on left leg and said he could remove some more fat in knee area.
12/20/2016 Pre-op for revision surgery from 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm. Dr. Sattler seemed to be in rush again and I felt like I did not enough time to discuss all of my concerns with him to ensure getting the results I want this time. I brought pictures of me in the past and now, pictures of pre-op drawings of other people who got procedures done in the same areas as mine. I didn’t get a chance to show it to him. He had to go to another patient. I showed pictures to the nurse and expressed my fears that I have a feeling that Dr. Sattler does not listen. She said that I will get a chance to show him these pictures on the day of revision surgery. That day I was supposed to sign papers again, but a person who does paperwork wasn’t in the office that day, and I was told that I will be given a call to stop by next week to sign papers. The revision surgery was scheduled that day on the 10th of January 2017.
01/17/2017 The revision surgery was scheduled at 1:45 pm. I took time off work. I arranged with a post-surgery care person to take me to Sono Bello’s office in Bellevue and pick me up after. I received a call at 9 am from Sono Bello’s manager informing me that my surgery today was canceled because Dr. Sattler had an emergency with another patient. The next available date was 28th of January 2017, but because that would make my surgery to be over a month from my last pre-op appointment, I was told to come in for pre-op again on 25th of January 2017 at 10 am.
01/25/2017 When I came in for pre-op, I met practice manager, Shannon Scott, who apologized for having to cancel my revision surgery appointment on 17th of January 2017. She said “it doesn’t usually happen, that’s not how we do it here” and she offered me complimentary Venus treatments to compensate for inconvenience. I told her at that time that I still have Venus treatments that I haven’t used that were part of the deal when I agreed to book my initial the next day surgery back in May 2016. I explained her that I live an hour and half away from Bellevue and it would require me to take the whole day off work to be able to drive to Sono Bello in Bellevue during traffic hours. I express my gratitude for offering me that but what I really wanted was for her to be present on my pre-op consultation with Dr. Sattler today as I felt that he hasn’t listened to me and my concerns from the day one and always seem to be in rush when I look for my questions to be answered. And I needed to make sure that I had enough time that day with Dr. Sattler to communicate my desired results and expectations properly this time and be sure that he understood it.
Shannon Scott agreed to meet with me and Dr. Sattler together. When Dr. Sattler came in, he had an attitude already, he was mean, raised his voice at me after I expressed my concern about not seeing ANY difference in knee area, having a lot of fat sitting on top of my knee area, which was my primary issue that I wanted to do something about it when I came to Sono Bello, and then I was convinced by Bethany Mikkola to add upper thigs and inner thigs to it as a combo to achieve better, smooth and consistent appearance of my knee area with other areas of my legs. And I felt that fat was only take out from upper thigs till the middle of my leg, and from the middle down to my knee inner and front areas still as thick as it was and it makes leg column-like looking and unproportionate. His reply was that’s how he does these areas and I shouldn’t be telling him how to do his job. I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. I asked if there is anything he could do to make my knee area smaller and I am willing to accept any consequences of sagging skin if that follows if he could just try to make my legs proportionate again. He said that he already took out 9000 ccs (which was a blatant lie) and removing more fat would result in indentation in the front area of the knee. Then I asked him if he could then put removed fat back in upper thigs as it was before the surgery. He finished consultation by saying that I either can take his offer to remove bulge on my left leg that he left from the first surgery or nothing at all, and he walked out. Shannon said that she will add more complimentary Venus treatments to try to reduce amount of fat in the front knee that way by non-invasive method. I left crying that day. I was devastated, with financial burden, left with a bulge that can be seen even when I wear pants, told by Dr. Sattlet that’s how he is doing it and things like that happen, and having to decide whether going through the surgery and recovery process again without knowing what might happen this time, or just being left with deformity in my leg, as a reminder what a horrible decision I made May 18th, 2016 to come in to Sono Bello and meeting Bethany Mikkola.
It became obvious to me that my wellbeing and my health is at risk if I proceed with revision surgery by Dr. Sattler. I haven’t slept that night and I emailed Shannon Scott at 5:00 am the following day asking to change a doctor who would do my revision surgery because I have a lot of fears associated with Dr. Sattler, if she really wants to make this situation right. I asked her to email me to let me know if that was possible. Later during the day of January 26th, 2017, I called her and left a voice mail saying that I sent her email and haven’t heard back from her and I just need to know if going to revision surgery by Dr. Sattler (scheduled on 01/28/2017) is still my only option.
I received a call from her the next day at 3:20 pm confirming that she will arrange with the corporate to switch me to Dr. Marco Sobrino that she highly recommends. She then scheduled me to meet Dr. Sobrino on 02/02/2017.
02/01/2017 Shannon Scott called me and left a voice mail at 5 pm saying that she would have to reschedule my appointment with Dr. Sobrino tomorrow because she still hasn’t gotten authorization from corporate.
I have a very limited time I can use my phone. I have 30 minutes while I am driving to work before 6:00 am, then an hour from 6 pm-7 pm. And I leave work at 11:00 pm. The hour that I have to make phone calls is after Sono Bello’s business hours. I told her that I have access to my email during the day and that would be the best way to reach me.
I emailed her that day and said it’s a second time Sono Bello cancels on me not even at least 24 hours prior to my scheduled appointment. I express my disappointment in the way their business is conducted, I reminded her that I live far from Bellevue and I take a day off work when I have an appointment with Sono Bello in Bellevue. I said the best way at this point would be just getting an authorization that she needs from corporate first and then scheduling my consultation with Dr. Sobrino.
03/07/2017 I met with Dr. Sobrino and Shannon Scott. I went over my story and my concerns again. I told him how desperate I am about getting something done about that fat above my knee cap and pressing on it, told him that was the only reason I turn to liposuction after other methods to reduce the amount of fat in that area failed, the only reason I came in to Sono Bello. And now how frustrated and saddened I am because on top of not getting the results that I was promised, now my legs are lumpy, disproportionate and have a huge bulge on the inner side of my left leg.
And here was the answer: “We never do liposuction on the front of the knee because skin will collapse, only inner”, Dr. Sobrino said. Now it made sense why I haven’t seen any difference in my knee area from before and after.
He said he looked at the pictures of before and after that Sono Bello has on file and my legs look fine. He can remove the bulge on my left leg, but doesn’t want to do anything else. And according to his words, my legs are not even the same size, one bigger and another is smaller, but it’s normal, he said. Also I have skin laxity and even thigs lift won’t help me, and I wasn’t a good candidate for the procedure in the first place. How is that to hear it from a doctor 11 months later after surgery, accumulating debts to pay for the surgery, losing my job for not being able to walk and be on my feet for the whole hours of my shift during the time of recovery from the surgery, frustration from going to pre-ops, expressing my concerns over and over, and being treated like it’s my fault, being rude to and humiliated, just to find out that I wasn’t a good candidate for the procedure I wanted and apparently not even getting the procedure that I got charged for done.

Dr. Sobrino refused to fix the bulge on my leg saying that I am already too upset and nothing will make me happy.
Shannon Scott, practice manager, said she doesn’t feel comfortable to talk to me anymore and almost walked out on me that day. And someone will contact me later. I demanded to know the time frame for that “later”. Shannon Scott said within a week. And a person named Stephany introducing herself as director of operation left me a voice mail with her phone number. When I was able to use my phone and listen to voice mail, I called her back. However, I was not able to reach her and had to leave a voice mail explaining my time limitation on phone usage, and communicating through email is the only option. I left my email to contact me as I would like to get this resolved as quickly as possible before a year period from the surgery on May 18th, 2016 past and Sono Bello’s default answer would be that they have no responsibilities after a year as their policy states.
This is my last resort and attempt asking for help and make it right as Sono Bello claims it does as it conducts fair and honest business practices and makes a good faith effort to resolve complaints.
So, I am asking you to resolve this.

Sono Bello claim is weight loss center

Went to Sonobello for my 'Free' Consultation on 6/1/2017, after some time I was offer discounts, pre-op and surgery. Yes, within a hour very good sales tactics. I placed a $4000 deposit on the $11, 383.66 procedure. The next day I called to let SonoBello know that I had changed my mind. No pre-op and no surgery, I asked for my $4000 deposit back and was initially told it would take 24 to 48 to post back to my account. It is now 24 days later and I still have not received my $4000. I would expect if Sonobello was really interested in their customers that they would give me my $4000 back. This is a SCAM and should not be taken seriously.

Sono Bello liposuction

Hello, my name is Afsaneh Latifi and I am a Physician in NYC. I recently had a procedure done in the Westchester location at Sono Bello on 12/22/16. I have followed up as scheduled and have been concern with the scars. I have taken a course of antibiotic since the surgical sites on my right side were infected. I have called many times and spoken who stated to be a supervisor and nothing has happened so far. I have sent them pictures of my scars which look very permanent.
I need to speak to someone who can address my concerns.

Sono Bello liposuction

I had decided to have a liposuction done at the Beverly Hills location and wanted my money back after seeing all the bad reviews, since apparently you guys don't offer money back because I had scheduled the same week, I was hesitant but decided to postpone instead. I want to have Brazilian butt lift with lipo but it's not offered and frankly I REALLY don't want to do it there. I called to speak to management as I want my money ALL of it back but she apparently is too busy for me and proceeded to have the consultant I signed on with call me hours later. REALLY? I am looking into what can I do legal wise. I don't care if I loose my money to a lawyer but I will not leave it at sonobello because this place is the worst when it comes to customer service and I just NEVER want to do business there.

If you are in CA - contact the Medical Board of California and file a complaint. The law in CA states that a physician cannot charge you for services that are not rendered. They cannot make you have a surgery. www.mbc.ca.gov
