I live In the Hampton Roads area of VA and got laser lipo. The worst financial decision I've ever made . I look the same after my procedure . Only thing I got out of this procedure isn$6000 worth of debt, scars, and knots on my side . When I challenged them about not seeing results, the nurse reported it take 6 months for recovery ! If that's the case I would have never gotten the operation and just worked out harder . I'm embarrassed, upset, and feel betrayed by Sono Bello. I went to sono bello for laser liposuction. I had my procedure done on november 9 which i'm 5 weeks post-op. No results. I don't see any difference in my stomach and everytime I call them and make a complain that I don't see any results "the reload is i'm still sweeten and i'll see results in 6 months"

Only 1300 cc was taken out and mostly fluid.
If calculate it is only 500cc of fat was taken out. I even have a dent on my left side from where they do the incision.

I went through sono bello procedure in june 2019. Results are negative. I see no changes and so I have wasted my $7000. But more so - a week after the procedures I have severe migraine type headache and throbbing eye pain. On my 3 mo review I brought this up with the sono bello staff and she down played it. My pain comes 2-3 times daily and it has been consistent everyday since june. I habe a strong suspicion that this procedure has damaged some nervous which is giving me this pain and migraine. My doctor has done a cat scan and has found nothing. I am now waiting for an mri by a neurologist and we shall see what is discovered after this. But my 6 mos is coming up soon in a month with no results! I know that they will propose a second procedure and I will definitely decline! My health is not good after this procedure and I certainly don't have any confidence with sono bello. I scheduled my appointment and told them i might be 10 minutes late and was told that that should not be a problem as long as i let them know prior...As i started to drive and checked my ETA i was going to be exactly 10 minute late and i continued to drive as i called the Sacramento office where my app was scheduled...The lady on the phone was extremely rude and told me not to bother to show up... At that point i was more than half the way to the office and had to return back. Now i'm reading all these horror stories and thinking that's the best thing that happened i guess!

I am in total disbelief from seeing no results! I was so hyped until I told lots of family and friends about my procedure as I was told I would have results, but at 2 mos. I fell for the BS, although I wasnt able to finance it qithout a cosigner, so i got one. Yet I still wasnt sure it was the right thing to do...
She contacted Synchrony and they both convinced us to go forward with the understanding the cosigner will be removed in a year, all we had to do is contact them and they would take care of it. Well i did have the procedure and the year just passed and they claim they never said that. Yet the cosigner never signed any documents and yet they wont remove her name.
After the initial swelling and I did look ok with clothes on. When i bent over my stomach drooped like i had gastric bypass, my stomach and instestines appeared as tho they were about to fall out. (Quite disgusting).
I am not extremely self conscious of my body and only if i can go back i would of never did this.

I'm so sorry I ever went there! They are so nice at the consultation on April 19th, I was told that if I paid a deposit within 7 days from my consultation I would still get the discount but I paid it on May 2nd ($1000) and on May 9th I called stating I needed to reschedule to August or September because I had a new job. I received a call back from Michelle who told me that their schedule was not open to book beyond the end of June yet. They would call me back. I emailed Brittany who did my consultant a week later to ask for my money back, that I would wait until I was settled on my job before booking the procedure (no response at all). I then proceeded to email and call every week for 4 weeks before I got Brittany on the line. She now states that there is a rescheduling fee and a non refundable deposit policy. That I will have to reschedule to avoid losing my money. I gave my deposit over the phone (shame on me!) so I didn't receive this policy in the office or was it told to me over the phone at the time I made the deposit. I asked Brittany to email me the policy (nothing)! I also asked why this was not explained to me during the consult, at the time of the deposit or during all the messages I left and emails I sent them. I feel like they avoided me to justify not refunding me my deposit. Something should be done!
I am going through the same situation as others on this board. The only difference is that I was told I would lose my deposit but not that their was a rescheduling fee. I also have not received a copy of my deposit. I have no paperwork on what the the cancellation policy is. I have no information of things I should or should not do before the procedure. My procedure is in two weeks.
I was not certain At the consultation if I was going to go forward with procedure so I was only given the amount of what the procedure was going to be. I ended up scheduling by phone. I was told I would receive a copy of payment for deposit. I Never received it.

These commercials are so gross and disgusting! One cannot find a station to watch that does not carry them and children should not be subjected to seeing the pictures thy display. Most of the programs you advertise on are ones where children are watching. These grotesque pictures of "unwanted fat should be banned! There is absolutely NO REASON to show such hideous things like this!
Advertise you can help people lose weight, HOWEVER, do NOT show the gross pictures of an ultra obese female wearing a sting bikini. NO ONE wants to see that!

unethical marketing tactics

I had an initial evaluation with Betty Shaw on 3-16-2019. At that time she convinced me that I could save considerable money if I paid in advance. ( $ 5, 000.00) This offer was only good while I was still with her. I stressed concerns that I had previous surgeries to my abdomen including 2 hernias that had been repaired twice one now having mesh, another in my groin area that has clips. I also had 2 surgeries for severe endometriosis and my gallbladder taken out. Again, I was concerned if I was even a candidate. She assured me since I was small that it would be fine and the doctor would make the decision.
I called her on Wednesday, March 27 to let her know I went to my general surgeon for an appointment because I was having pain in the hernia areas. I informed her I was getting a CT of my abdomen and I wanted to cancel the doctor appointment and was interested in knowing if I could use the money provided to have Venus legacy on my thighs. Please cancel the surgery. She said to still come in and she could discuss this.
I arrived for my appointment with her at 11:45 today, Saturday, March 30. When I arrived I informed the front desk I was to meet with Betty. They said I had a pre op and that I need to talk to the physician. I made it very clear I only wanted to see if I was a candidate for the Venus legacy. Very clear several times. I was told I must see the physician for that. They then pushed paperwork at me that they said I needed to sign. I refused. My very big mistake is that I should have said NO WAY. I read now that if I see the physician I am liable for $ 995.00. I cancelled this appointment and was Pushed to see him to discuss Venus legacy.
My nurse took history and immediately concluded I was not a candidate for Venus since I had polyps removed from my colon that had cancer cells. Second mistake, I should have walked out then.
Dr. Brownstein was very nice at first yet really wanted to convince me to have this surgery and not listening that I already decided I was not moving forward. He became argumentative when I would not allow him to get in touch with the general surgeon and have him get the CT results. I agreed to share them myself. These are my medical records. We did discuss my history. He asked if I have had a history of diabetes and that I would not be a candidate if I had this history. I shared and I was diagnosed pre diabetic. The nurse took a blood [censored] and yes my sugars were high especially since I had eaten cheerios 5 hours before. Right then, I was not a candidate yet that seemed to now be discounted. If I was pre diabetic then I was not a candidate. We also determined that what I really have is more lose skin and if we removed fat it would get worse, and we already know I cannot get the Venus treatment. Then the nurse said we needed to take pictures and tried to make me sign something. My patience was lost at this time. Why would no one listen to me, CANCEL THE SURGERY.
And now Adrian Neher you arrive. I am not sure how many times I said I was not going to get this surgery and you kept saying well think about it. NO cancel this surgery!
It is so very clear now that this is a play to get you to see a physician so you get charged. Why should anyone have to pay even if you are not a candidate. Maybe everyone is, I surely am not. I cancelled this appointment and it was then turned into a heavy marketing tactic. You would not even tell me what I will get back. I left there so upset emotionally and now angry knowing I was so played. I should know better and most of the reviews on line speak to unethical marketing tactics. Honestly, I hate that I need to now get a lawyer. I also reviewed the complaints on the BBB and found your complaint center and phone number.
I expect a response Monday morning April 1, 2019 with my full credit to my card. I am 5 minutes from this facility and will be very happy to share my experience on social media and with my friends on the Main Line.

I went in to Sono Bello for a consultation for a little loose skin on my abdomen. The lady took a look and made her suggestion. I said ok what would this cost me my total 4600 ok fine she said I would need to put 500.00 down for a deposit right now and another 500.00 in two days and the total 2 weeks before the procedure. I did get a strange feeling because it was like pressure but because I needed and I thought they were reputable I put a 1000 down but when I went in to see the doctor for what he will be doing he telling me I should get Lipo as well I said no my waist is a 28 why do I need that I will just exercise that off I don't want Lipo just access skin removed . I called to cancel they told me I would lose my 1000 dollar deposit. I say why I'm not getting the work done why would you keep that much money I new even more so this place is a scam because real legitimate places wouldn't keep that much money they will take a cancellation fee out and refund the remaining I'm glad I didn't go through the surgery I have a feeling it would have been bad. Don't go to this place you will not get your money and it almost seems like they are forcing you to do the surgery.
My experience with Sono Bello - Bellevue
I wanted to address my knee area.
I went to one place in 2016 and got a quote for treating just the knee area and anesthesia cost.
Then, I went to another place and the doctor at that facility told me she doesn't perform liposuction because she didn't want to [censored] people and promise what she can't deliver. Now, after what I have been through, I have to say, I have a lot of respect and appreciation for her honesty and I just wish more people be like her.
Then, I ended up at Sono Bello as my goal was to find a doctor that treats knee area and that would charge me less than the quote was that I received from the place that I went at first for knee area as I couldn't afford the first place
Sono Bello sales person, Bethany, lead me to believe that I can expect even a better outcome that I thought I could before I could hope for only if I add more areas to be treated together with the knee. While the price for treating my area of concern was cheaper in Sono Bello, than in another place, I ended up spending more before I was even able to realize it. As Bethany kept interrupting me every time, I showed a sign of hesitation, and changing the numbers on her computer by adding discounts and after procedure treatments (which no one otherwise buys anyway), but with the total amount, as I realized later, remaining the same.
Fast forward, the procedure performed at Sono Bello in Bellevue location by Dr. Sattler didn't yield the results that were promised. As per their satisfaction guarantee assurance policy, Sono Bello promised to redo the procedure at no cost.
(I omitted to make a long story short all the pain, lack of care, stress and humiliation - all that, what unfortunately not so many, besides who experienced that, seem to care about. Unless, of course, if we died during procedure, then it could be a medical malpractice as in case with patient of Dr. Sobrino, Aura Javellana, who died after the surgery in 2009 in Sono Bello in Bellevue.
I wrote a complaint to Sono Bello's customer care manager about my disappointment in seeing no results, no improvement in the area of my concern.
Dr. Sattler, who initially performed my surgery, refused to revise knee area as well as another second surgeon, who happened to be that Dr. Sobrino, whose patient died in 2009.
After being given the runaround for months, the customer care manager just stopped responding to my attempts to resolve the matter and their satisfaction guarantee promise was unfulfilled altogether. I went venting online, on multiple website. One of them was /link removed/ The website that doesn't delete reviews once its posted. It makes money by allowing companies to answer to negative reviews online for a fee and that way having a chance to clear their names. Once review is posted on /link removed/ it is no longer up to you to be able to remove or leave it online.
After some time, a new marketing director of Sono Bello, Stephenie Vizmanos, got in touch with me She said she sees my point that my complaint wasn't based on my subjective dissatisfaction of the final results, but based on not having any results at all. After she confirmed that doctors in Sono Bello refused to perform the revision surgery as per the agreement, she was going to do an exception from the policy and refund the money. However, I would have had to remove all negative reviews of Sono Bello that I posted.
That was the condition in Refund Agreement that she emailed me to sign. I scratch those lines and emailed her explaining her that I did delete almost all reviews I have posted online, but the review on scam report isn't in my hands anymore. Thus, that is the only reason why I wouldn't be able to fulfill the condition. I wanted to get my money back, so that I could pay for my revision surgery and forget about this Sono Bello's nightmare. But I don't think Sono Bello cares much about its terrifying reviews online, patient safety, or their business practices.
That emailed went unanswered as well as my follow-up calls. I exhausted all the options with good intentions at heart to resolve this issue for good, but there was no attempt from Sono Bello from that point on.
Therefore, I had to take a legal action, as so many people on here talk about it, but don't act on it.
In my opinion, majority negative online reviews have pretty much the same complaint:
a sales person uses high pressure sales tactics and promises anything to have you put money down because she has to hit her daily sales quota, then everything else is a lie afterwards. After thousands of dollars, some people have a disappointing results, some no results at all, or worst of all, infection, or body parts deformed. Then, patients with unresolved complaints get the runaround for months, or completely ignored by Sono Bello's customer care and practice managers, hoping that sooner or later you would have to give up.
As Edmund Burke said: "The only thing necessary for free triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".
