I recently relocated from Cape Town where I was a loyal customer of Sorbet for over 14 years, wishing to have the same great service that I have come to know here in Krugersdorp (Valleyview Shopping Centre Paardeplaats 177 IQ, Noordheuwel, Krugersdorp, 1739) HOWEVER, this was the worst experience I have ever had. The nail tech not only filed my nails to the point of bleeding (not just one finger but 3 fingers I might add) She then did something I had never seen before which was putting nail glue on the open wounds which was extremely painful and burnt me. We then continued to the gel application - it only got worse. The nails are way too thick because of the application, the cuticles are painted, and after putting on the final coat, she continued to file the edges. This makes no sense as this is the first place the gel will not lift—several uneven coats on my natural nails.
She asked me to wash my hands and the towels that you are supposed to dry off with were on top of a foot file.
As someone who appoints nail techs and therapists alike with suitable companies, I feel Sorbet Group head offices should really vet their candidates better. I called a few minutes ago to ask for the owner's details and they are apparently not at liberty to give me the details.
When I made the appointment I jokingly said "Here is to a good, lasting relationship" BUT hells to the no.
