bad quality acrylic on hands and gelish on feet
Spent 3 hours to get ugly nails on 25/11. I am sitting with the ugliest treatment on my hands. My feet are not upto Sorbet quality standard. The therapist that did my nails was rough with tools. My finger nails look like taxi rank quality. I have no time to squeeze mistakes in diary. Someone needs to call me to fix this mess on my hands. [protected]

I really enjoy sorbet pedicures, the ladies are always lovely and the treatments are a treat.
I was just very disappointed after my latest pedicure because my polish chipped just a week after the pedicure.
It's very unusual, usually my polish stays pristine for a good few weeks. It's not cheap to have treatments and I expect it to last a bit longer.
service and product
After attending a appointment for a Medipedipaint this morning at 9 o'clock I'm now having to remove my nail polish and having to reapply it after smudging. And its 7 o'clock at night. I made my booking a week ago and clearly asked the lady if the paint option offered French as well? As to which she replied - Yes. This morning as the nail technician was applying the French it all of a sudden dawned on her that she didnt have a French pink to apply over the white. She was clearly annoyed at my request. After considering another colour I changed to a nude colour. The French white was hastily taken off and the new colour applied andbu was sent on my way. I noticed later that the colour started to bubble and subsequently smudged. Also I never had hot towels wrapped around my feet after the cling wrap was applied? I paid R 550.00 for a treatment I'm not happy with and at this moment am a very unhappy customer. I hope that you will get back to me soonest with a resolve!
manicure with attitude
I normally go to Sorbet Valley View and in all honesty I get great service but this time the nail technician was simply rude. She left me there for more than 10 minutes unattended with no explanation. When she gets back she gives me sauce as if I owe her something. She bumps into my leg under the table numerous times, she leaves bubbles on my nails, she does put on the top coat properly so it basically looks like part of my nail was done last week. I'm livid.
I got an email from Taz addressing the issue. You can submit your complaint on the website and they will contact you within 24 hours (well that was my experience).
lash extension removal
I'm a loyal sorbet customer specifically the one in Paulshof. I went in for a Hollywood wax as well as a lash extension removal. My Hollywood wax was amazing as always. I then went in for a lash extension removal with a lady called Jo, I have always done it with Prudence but I guess she wasn't in today. From beginning Jo wasn't polite or friendly but whatever... I start complaining with how she was literally scraping the lashes off instead of waiting for whatever she uses to remove to soak... This scraping caused it to go into my eyes and I experienced excruciating burning and even then... She was silent. Throughout the whole excruciating process, she was quite and I had to request to wash my eyes off and then request the cloth to actually dry my eyes with. She gave no apology even when I told her what caused the issue and she left the room. Please note. I know the lash removal stings when you open your eyes and I have been doing it for 2 years now at Sorbet and not once did I ever experience the pain and more so the lack of customer service or empathy from anyone at Sorbet.
So disappointing
eyelashes
Good day,
I would like to formally lay a complaint with the way my eyelashes were installed:
The ladies accommodated me on the last minute, I will commend them for that.
Complaint:
The lady who installed my lashes is from Espson down Sorbet, had my eyes shut for longer than 1:30, I informed her that my left eye is getting strained and could she please lift the it up a bit so that I can open my eye. She said I needed to wait as the glue was still getting dry.
She processed to finish and packed away all her items, while my eye was still shut and in excruciating pain.
When I left the salon, she didn't give what she promised on how to take care of my eyelashes she didn't do that. They have all now fallen off, unprovoked.
My eyes where red for 3 days and needed to used eye drops as I needed to go to a function the Saturday.
I must say I'm very disappointed and will never recommend anybody to come through the store.
My eyes even today still feels a bit of strain when I wake up in the morning.
Really you need to train your people well, if they will handling such sensitive areas of the face.

nails and eyebrow wax
I had my nails done yesterday at 10 o'clock at your Sorbet Greenacres branch I am very disappointed in how my nails look at the ends they look stained it is thick and when I asked why I was told because it's a light color. I wanted to do the bio sculpture gel but was told they don't have the product they need to do it. And my wax was not nice it didn't even look like it was done I had hair that was suppose to be removed still on my brows the guy tried to remove by using twister I eventually told him to leave it and that I would fix it myself. I wasted my money.. I have sent a mail regarding this as well no response. For the price you pay. I'm Beyond Disappointed just want this gel off
gel nails
I did my nails at dainfern and the next day i had bubbles and the nails chipped.. so i decided to try another branch and went in for a fill.. to my surprise 2 weeks later my nails are all chipped and one even fell off.. i was told it lasts 4 to 6 weeks.. so R800 later i have to pay another amount to soak these off for the 2nd time..pathetic nails done at sorbet!
pedicure with attitude.
I made an appointment for a pedicure and manicure at the Constantia branch of Sorbet
They wanted to do it together as they had overbooked
I insisted on a pedicure first then the manicure as once before I had both smudged nails on both feet and hands
immediately there was an attitude with rolled eyes - I do not need that from these young technicians.
The technician started my pedicure and when she started the big toe, she actually hurt me. I stopped her because she had dug down the side of the toe nail and cut it very short and round
Now any podiatrist and chiropodist will tell you that toe nails must be cut straight across to avoid ingrown toenails. I told her this and again the attitude.
I was very annoyed and my toe is painful as the soft tissue under the nail is now exposed.
Annalisa is not trained correctly and needs to be supervised or her work looked at for correct procedure.
The attitude of these girls is not conducive to good customer relations and I will not be returning to that Sorbet salon where I have been supportive for many, many years.
gelish toes and hands
I had my hands and toes done, i only paid for my hands as my i was disappointed with my toes after having them done twice at the salon. I had gel on my skin, cuticles were not pressed back, no shaping and part of the nail wasnt even painted. After going outside i was dissapointed in my hands aswell as they had bumps all over. I couldn't go back to the salon as i was leaving on holiday. 4 days into my holiday my hands as well as my toes started peeling, very disgusted in the product that sobet uses aswell as the fact that my gelish hands and feet looked so unprofessional that if i did them myself it would of looked better and probably lasted longer. The prices charged for the product and unprofessional look are completely inappropriate and wouldn't recommend sorbet to anyone.
I am complaining about the lack hospitality with which I was addressed
I entered the store to purchase a face moisturizer and was rudely told that the store is closed by what I'm assuming was the manager of the store on Friday the 9th of August at 14:45. After asking if I couldn't simply purchase one specific item she rudely refused instead of humbly informing me that she could not do that. This has to be addressed urgently as it is unbecoming of the brand and It can tarnish what the brand is about.
air flow and old products
The shop inside Cradlestone mall is particularly small with no ventilation! I went in for an express mani and left with a terrible headache! There is just no air flow and the air is so potent! It didn't seem like there was any air but a small little floor fan!
The colour cards for gelish are looking too terrible! Most of the nail colors have been broken off or scratched off. They had very little stock of colors. Very disappointed.
very unfriendly and rude receptionist
The receptionist that sits at the front at Sorbet Lonehill has no idea how to treat customers and is very rude. Her name is Savannah.
I have gone multiple times and she is consistently rude and unwilling to help or suggest that I have a seat and have a drink as I was slightly early for my appointment. She simply said I must leave and come back on my time slot and it was for a soak off.
She has no idea how to treat a customer and I won't be going back to the branch because of her.
I am also not the only person to find her rude as per google reviews.
service
Good day
I went to Sorbet in Vaal Mall to do eyebrow and lash tint, upon arrival I was introduced to Pam and was told she will be doing my eyebrows and lashes.
Pam waxed almost all of my eyebrows off for the tint, she then attempted to do the tint but the tint did not stick then tried for the second time and still gave the same problem. Pam then decides to tell me that my eyebrow are not thick enough for the eyebrow tint, what puzzles me is that as a beautician she was suppose to examine my eyebrows before waxing them, so now I have half eyebrows.
She then moved to my lashes, where I asked for a tint on my upper and lower lash, she still failed to do so.
I then had to leave without getting what I had initially intended to get, when I asked her what am I suppose to do with my half eyebrows she then stated that I will pay half price but needed to pay for using their products. When I got to the reception I was told to pay R160. I then went to Pam and asked her to give me her makeup so I can fix my eyebrows she then refused and stated that I should follow her to Mac, when asked why, she then stated that if I do not go with her I will be walking around with waxed eyebrows.
When we arrived at Mac she then told the beautician that I am her sister and asked for them to teach me how to draw eyebrows and she will return and pay for the amount they used to do the eyebrows and the products needed. while sitting on the share Pam left and the beautician finished with my makeup and Pam was no where to be found. I then felt bad for allowing Pam to manipulate me and the Mac beautician and bought eyebrow gel that amounted to R285.
I am very disappointed by the service I received and do not want anyone to go through the same thing.
photo one- the makeup from Mac
photo two and three- waxed eyebrows, no visibility of tinting
photo four and five- eyelash tint top and bottom, the top part is ok but no tint on the bottom as requested

gelish nails done poorly
This is my second time I have done gelish nails at Sorbet and each time was very disappointing. The first instance I did french gelish after which a week later, the gelish was tearing off and the white turned to yellow. I went back and had the nails redone.
26 June I went to sorbet again for pink gelish. This is 8 July, less than 2 weeks later and the gel was really applied poorly, not to the roots of the nail and is also tearing loose at the edges. I have made an appointment to soak the nails tomorrow as it looks like I tried to apply gelish from my home for the first time.
I am not willing to pay for a soak off of nails that should have lasted at least 3 weeks and still not be in the condition my nails are currently in. I will also make sure to never visit Sorbet Menlyn Maine again as I have been disappointed with the quality of their service each and every time I go there.
The contact number of Sorbet Menlyn Maine is: 012 348 1075.
nail treatment
Sorbet Hayfields -a week gone by and owner still has not contacted me.
Issues with tips falling of for at least the last 4 treatments.
Constant repairs done at my cost and valuable time.
Within 3 days of new set, 4 tips fell off
Had to go to another branch to sort out and now replace the entire set.
Previously had the same issue, the consultant even took pics, yet no one even apologized for shoddy work.
Tips were fixed at my cost by an inexperienced nail tech, shaped the nails completely differently from the others that I had to go in a few days later to replace the entire set.
Branch is giving the brand a bad name as I have been there when other customers have been freaking out. There is no proper visible management in this branch hence the issues.
Been a sorbet guests for a few years now but unfortunately moved to this branch due to it being 5 minutes from my home and my therapist moved to another city.
Please can you analyze my guest profile so that you can determine my loyalty, spend and the amount of repairs and replacement sets I had to do instead of fills.
service and unclear payment
To whom it may concern,
i would like to request a refund for treatment done on the 30th May i had an appointment for 4:30pm- i waited 25min for my appointment without anyone telling me they are running late. there was a miscommunication with the type of treatment i wanted- i initially asked for gelish- but didn't want to spend so much so i asked for a bio sculpture treatment (i wasn't aware that bio sculpture could be something other than normal nail polish that looks like gel), not gelish, which i stated clearly in the email. during the treatment i realised it was gel they were putting on- but was too far into the treatment to change it. i thought it would be okay to pay a bit extra, but not to my surprise R470 when i got to the till. the Gel doesn't cover all my nails and is irregular, with thick and thin parts- which isn't the money worth at all. you cant see it clearly as i have glitter on.
please advise,
Regards,

unhappy with my gelish nails; rushed service
27/04/2019
Eastgate sorbet; Appointment was at 16:00
I have to say that in the 1 year that I've been getting my nails done at Sorbet this has to be the first time that I am complaining. I did a soak of and gelish on my own nails.
1. My nails were not shaped properly
2.i was hurt on a few fingers whilst the lady was doing my cuticles and on 2 of my fingers I bled, (pictures provided)
3.My nails were not painted properly, the edges were left and I could still see my nails through the nail polish.
To some it up, the service was terrible, and where it would normally take over an hour at my usual sorbet, it took just over 40mins, i am very unhappy with this and I don not want to stop going to sorbet just because of this 1 horrible experience,
pedicure
Good day.
My cousin and I visited the Hillcrest store for pedicures. Everything was fine at first and then suddenly all went downhill. My cousins technician kept making a mess of her gelish and she asked her really nicely to please fix 2 toes. After that the technicians attitude was appalling! I asked my lady to please file my feet a lot . She completely ignored me. She didn't even remove the skin around my toes or cuticles. 1 day later my feet look like they hadn't even had a pedi and we booked the power hour! Power hour of painting toes more like it! Needless to say all this for R500.00 (including the previous gelish soaked off) what a rip off! I'm fuming! Sorbet you need to come to the party on this one as I don't think I will be returning if you keep on disappointing! My feet need a pedi after the pedi!
veaudry flat iron
Goodday
I took my 2 daughters to the sorbet dry bar Mitchell's plain on Saturday 16 March at 1pm n 3pm respectively. As my eldest daughter had her hair flat ironed I asked the lady flat ironing her hair what the price was of the flat iron she's using for my daughters hair. She showed me to the flatiron and said the price is on the box, I took the item to purchase it after seeing the price which on the box was "clearly" priced R325 (three hundred and twenty five rand) Then the store manager casually said to me "no its R2325 (two thousands three hundred and twenty five rand) which is no where priced on the box. We had words back n forth me telling her there is no 2 indecating 2000 in front of the 3. I left the salon for about an hour and when i returned with my other daughter for her treatment the manager never changed the " incorrectly marked price" of the item when I left the salon round about 4pm the flat iron was still priced at R325. I would like to purchase the product for the price I saw at the time I was at the salon. I have taken pictures of the box n price of the item.
