Buyer beware!
Buyer beware! They were very unprofessional. First, the car had a trunk latch broke. My husband works on an assembly line for cars and knows this is a safety hazard but they said they will not fix it. Its being sold AS IS. Second, They tried charging us an extra $1,000 more than the online price. Third, they offered us $2,000 less for our trade than what weve been given at other dealerships. I wouldnt purchase from them and will NOT go back.
This dealership is not trustworthy
This dealership is not trustworthy. They take advantage of people and discriminate against those who have done their research. They use the old trick of advertising one price and then charging more. They ask for a price higher than the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) and justify it by saying that everyone else does it too. However, other dealerships make it clear from the beginning. If you're really in need of a vehicle, this place might be able to assist you, but be prepared to pay much more than you would at other places.
I had a really bad experience with the sales and management team at South Suburban Mitsubishi
I had a really bad experience with the sales and management team at South Suburban Mitsubishi. They treated me poorly and showed no respect. I bought a car from them, but it was in terrible condition and not worth the money I paid. When I tried to return the car, they refused to take it back. I want to warn others to be careful when dealing with this dealership. They sell cars that are in bad shape, and you might end up in the same situation as me. I will never recommend or spend money at this dealership again. It was the worst experience I've ever had.
I jus bought a car from this dealership and like a month later, the sunroof like totally blew up while I was driving
I jus bought a car from this dealership and like a month later, the sunroof like totally blew up while I was driving. The dealership and Mitsubishi themselves gave me a hard time and said it wasn't their fault and I had to pay for it. They checked it out and didn't see any signs of damage but couldn't explain why it happened. But they still wouldn't fix it. So I had to reach out to Mitsubishi myself and finally they agreed to cover the sunroof (this is the third car I got from this dealership). My car has been at the dealership for like 5 weeks now and the mechanics keep saying that more parts keep breaking while they try to put in the new sunroof. They said it's gonna take another week 'cause they gotta order more parts. The communication has been so bad, like seriously terrible. The service manager even blamed me today for the delay 'cause Mitsubishi and I were arguing about who's responsible. I'm never gonna buy from this dealership again and I'm telling everyone else to go somewhere else too. This whole thing has been a nightmare.

I bought a car from this company and I brought it back right away for service because they gave me problems
I bought a car from this company and I brought it back right away for service because they gave me problems. I had to bring it in for service three times in the first year of the five-year contract. The estimated repairs cost almost as much as what's left on the contract!
I went to SouthSuburban Mitsubishi in Matteson, Illinois to get a regular oil change for my 2017 Outlander
I went to SouthSuburban Mitsubishi in Matteson, Illinois to get a regular oil change for my 2017 Outlander. They filled the oil past the acceptable mark on the gauge, like at least one quart too much. I also paid for a tire rotation, but they only rotated the right side and not the left. How did they mess that up? When they gave me back my car, the coolant reservoir was completely empty, even though they should have checked it. This is the third time they've overfilled my oil. I think they're doing it on purpose to create problems later on, so I have to pay for repairs and they can make money. Why do they always overfill the oil? The manager hasn't responded to my emails.
On February 4th, the catalytic converter on my brand new vehicle got stolen
On February 4th, the catalytic converter on my brand new vehicle got stolen. I took it back to the dealer and they said it would take about *** days, which I thought was fine. However, when I called them this week, they told me it might not be ready until May or June. This really upsets me because my insurance only covers 20 days, and then I have to pay for the rest of the expenses myself. It would be much easier if they could speed things up. I really need my vehicle for work and other things, and I'm at the point where I want to trade it in for a new one. At the very least, they shouldn't promise a specific timeframe if they can't deliver. It's just not right. Maybe they should consider not making us pay until the vehicle is fixed. I really hate having to pay so much for my vehicle and rental.

I bought a car from South Suburban Mitsubishi on June 21, 2022
I bought a car from South Suburban Mitsubishi on June 21, 2022. It's a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. I didn't pay anything upfront for the car. A few days later, the bank called me. They said the dealership sent the wrong contract, so I had to sign everything again. But on July 19, I didn't go back to the dealership to sign the new contract because I was out of town for work. The bank told me that the signature on the new contract didn't match my old one, and it was fraud. On July 20, 2022, I talked to the boss of the dealership. He said he just found out about what happened and doesn't know who did it. He only wanted to know if I wanted to keep the car and asked me to call him tomorrow.
About a week and a half ago, I gave the Sales Manager at South Suburban Mitsubishi a check from a different bank for $40,000.00
About a week and a half ago, I gave the Sales Manager at South Suburban Mitsubishi a check from a different bank for $40,000.00. It was for a Ram ProMaster van. I waited for the check to be cashed before they delivered the van to me on Monday, August 28th, 2022. However, on the way here to deliver it, the salesman called me and asked me to come jump-start the vehicle because it broke down. He eventually got it started and dropped it off, saying that if I needed to move it, he left it running. After he left, the van started to overheat, so I rolled up the windows and locked it up. Now, it won't start at all. I called the Sales Manager multiple times and left messages, but they haven't called me back. The salesman said the van would be picked up yesterday after asking me to drive it in, but I told him it doesn't run. Yesterday, August 29th, I was told it would be picked up this morning, but again, I haven't received any calls, texts, or emails. The van is still here, not running. I've asked for a refund and for them to take back this van that should have never been left here. No one has responded.
I bought a car on 4/29/22 and the check engine light was on
I bought a car on 4/29/22 and the check engine light was on. The sales rep said he would check it and came back saying it was the gas cap causing the issue and the light was off. But a few hours later, the light came back on, along with problems like the gear shift stalling, the air conditioner not working, and the taillight/brake light not working. When I brought the car back and talked to the service department, they said I had to pay $500 for inspections. If the results weren't covered by the extended warranty, I would have to pay out of pocket. The car has a Mitsubishi certified sticker on the window, and when I mentioned it to the manager, he said it only means the car is sellable. I told him it should mean the car was inspected and cleared for sale. He said no, it only means the brakes were good and the signals worked. I said that sticker should represent that you guys inspected the vehicle thoroughly. I shouldn't have to pay for all these things to be checked if the car is certified, especially since I've only had it for two weeks.
I talk to a worker at this place and tell them my *** got problems with the engine light on, it won't go fast, it's going into limp mode,
I talk to a worker at this place and tell them my *** got problems with the engine light on, it won't go fast, it's going into limp mode, needs a tune-up and oil change. I also tell them not to leave my bike outside and they say it won't be outside. They say they can fix it and do the job, so I have it towed to their business. I check on my bike a lot and find out they're leaving it outside and it rains, so my sub and amp get wet and the side speakers are dirty. All they say is I told them not to leave it outside. After I pick up the bike, it's fine going home, but I can't ride it for days because of the weather. When I finally get to ride it, the engine light comes on again, I check the oil and it's very low (which shouldn't be if they did an oil change), the bike goes into limp mode, won't go fast, and a fault message shows up. I call Ginas and one of their rude workers Kyle (the tall one) tells me, "The bike was working when you left, we don't have the machine to check for the engine light once we did the tune-up the light went off and there's nothing we can do." They shouldn't have taken my bike if they knew they couldn't fix it. I waste time and money with them and they clearly don't care about my bike since it's really dirty when I get it back, with rain spots everywhere and missing screws. The (short) Kyle is nice and tries to help but the damage is already done. Just so you know, I don't recommend anyone taking their *** Spyder to this place for repairs. I have to pay over 500 bucks for the service and now I'll have to spend more money on something that should've been fixed already.
Last month, on October 28, I took my car in for a regular oil change
Last month, on October 28, I took my car in for a regular oil change. But a few weeks later, I started having problems. So, on November 25, my car was towed to this dealership because it turned out to be a transmission issue. The dealership said that I must have been in an accident because my wheel was damaged. But that's not true, there's no damage to the car body. Still, they keep insisting that I'm lying and that I've been in a car accident. It's been a frustrating two weeks of getting the runaround. The service manager and the inspector promised to help me, but they've been ignoring my calls and texts multiple times. On November 28, an employee even hung up on me. Then, on December 6, I spoke with the service manager and the inspector again. The inspector kept asking me the same question, even though I already gave a clear answer. When I asked the service manager not to interrupt me, he accused me of having an attitude. It was offensive because not only did they accuse me of something I didn't do, but the service manager was also being rude to me. I tried to contact the general manager on December 6, and they said they would call me back. But I still haven't received a call. I've had to pay for a rental car out of my own pocket, and the customer service from this team has been terrible. They haven't followed through, made false accusations, and shown no care for my situation. It's been affecting my ability to focus at work because I'm constantly having to chase after the dealership and find a solution. Financially, I'm now way behind because they haven't been working to fix the problem and won't give me direct answers. I'm even more disappointed because I've been a loyal customer for almost 5 years and never had these issues before. The employees keep ignoring me and dismissing what I'm saying.
