I'm real disappointed in how I was treated today at Dave Sinclair Ford (63125)
I'm real disappointed in how I was treated today at Dave Sinclair Ford (63125). I live in the area and done bought 5 vehicles from them in the past but ain't gonna think 'bout buyin' another vehicle from 'em again. It's a real shame how that dealership done gone downhill in the past decade. Go anywhere else! Not only will they lose your business but gonna have you lose confidence in the Ford product.
I jus bought a used car from Sinclair Ford
I jus bought a used car from Sinclair Ford. It was the worst time I ever had at a dealership. The service and the manager I dealt with were terrible. When I got the car, I told them about a brake problem. But when I took it in to get fixed, they wanted me to pay $900 for the repair. They also said the loaner car I had was just a loaner, but after they took 11 days to fix my car, they said it was actually a rental and I had to pay $50 a day. I called the service manager and he said he'd get back to me the next day, but it's been over 30 days now and I haven't heard anything. I asked the sales guy about the rental and he said, and I quote, "I used the wrong words." I think he meant "verbiage." They'll definitely know it's me when they see this. So be careful if you're thinking of buying from them!
Bought a truck 30 days ago
Bought a truck 30 days ago. A certified *** vehicle. I have only had the truck in my possession for 10 out of 20 days. I have had to take it back to the shop 4 times now. When I first started to look at trucks, two sales guys were fighting over their commissions and who was taking me as a client. But I decided to move forward with one of them. It was super unprofessional. When I first brought my truck home, the truck was leaking in my driveway. And I turned it in asap. First problem they said was transmission was messed up. They said they fixed it. Second time it went to the shop they had to tow it because it wouldn't start, they said they fixed it, third time it was in the shop the engine was rattling so much we thought the truck was gonna blow up, they said it is a normal feature on the 5.0. And now the fourth time, the check engine light is on and engine is still rattling so bad it drowns out my radio and that's all you can hear when you press the gas. The only thing they said I could do is buy a more expensive truck or wait until the truck blows up. I traded in my car for their truck and now that I signed for the truck and have dealt with all these problems they won't do anything. The sales manager said I have 30 days to buy a new one or he will give me less for what I bought the truck for. I have lost money, time, and energy dealing with this broken truck they sold me and kept assuring me they fixed it. 4 times in the shops and it's getting worse. This has been the worse experience and I will not be buying from this dealer again. I feel like I got scammed.
Our 2020 F150 got fixed for a leak in the sunroof
Our 2020 F150 got fixed for a leak in the sunroof. They told me that if it was a clogged line causing the leak, it wouldn't be covered by the warranty because it's considered an owner maintenance problem. Warranty only covers it if there's a defect. I checked the manual and there were no instructions or mention of maintenance to prevent sunroof leaks. Before picking up the car, I called and asked if someone could show us how to maintain the sunroof for the future. The service rep said, "Yeah, we can do that. The water repair guy is here now." The repair guy came out and agreed that there's nothing in the manual about sunroof maintenance. He said there's NO maintenance an owner can do to prevent clogged drains and leaks happen all the time. So basically, every time the sunroof leaks, I have to get it professionally unclogged and pay $160. I asked who to contact about disputing these charges and they said to contact corporate for reimbursement. I called corporate and they said it's a dealer issue (of course). But they also said I could dispute the charges with my credit card company. How am I financially responsible for a maintenance issue that I CAN'T do myself? I've read that this leakage problem is ongoing, just like the repair guy said, and the company knows about it. I think they should have a policy of FULL DISCLOSURE for complaints like the leaking sunroof. If I had known about the possible leak problem with my $42K vehicle, I wouldn't have bought this truck. I guess they care more about making money than treating people right. This is NOT how you treat customers!
Buyers BEWARE I bought a lot of cars in my life and gotta say, my experience at Dave Sinclair Ford this week was the worst!
Buyers BEWARE I bought a lot of cars in my life and gotta say, my experience at Dave Sinclair Ford this week was the worst! My son wanted a new truck and we searched for like 6 months to find one that fit his budget and had some important features. We went to a bunch of small dealerships and private sellers but had no luck. Finally, I told him we should only focus on big local Ford dealerships with a good rep. I mentioned a few, including Dave Sinclair. My wife and I bought cars from them before. On Monday, March 15th, Dave Sinclair advertised a 2015 F 150 for 28,995.00. My son called and talked to a salesman named Joe about the truck. It had everything he wanted. Joe said we needed to put down a deposit to hold it (makes sense), so I called and put a deposit on it without seeing it. I told Joe we'd come in on Tuesday at noon to check it out. Joe said he'd meet us on his day off, but they hadn't checked the truck yet. Still, we could come see it. We got there at noon, saw the truck, liked it, and wanted to buy it. But then Joe and his sales manager told us they were raising the price to 32,995.00, a 4000.00 PRICE INCREASE in less than 24 hours, even though we put a deposit on it. It gets worse. After we left, my son and I talked and decided to ask if they'd sell us the truck without any warranty, just a safety and emissions inspection. We contacted Joe and he texted me the final "out the door" price of 29,797.00 with all fees included. We agreed to pay the new price and told Joe we'd be there Wednesday at 5:30 to pick up the truck. We were pre-approved and I asked Joe to send me a buyers order for my bank. But then Joe called me an hour later and said his Sales Manager Fred *** decided they needed even more money from us, an extra 750.00 "so they can break even." Classic Bait and Switch! My family will NEVER do business with this dealership again.

On their website, they got this Bronco for sale
On their website, they got this Bronco for sale. They say it's priced at $34000. So, I took it for a spin and I gotta say, I was pretty sold on it. But then the salesperson dropped a bomb on me. They said the price would go up by $5000 'cause of the sunroof. Can you believe that? I mean, I drove all the way from Washington, Mo...like 50 miles!
I took my car to Dave Sinclair Ford Inc to get some work done
I took my car to Dave Sinclair Ford Inc to get some work done. The bill came out to be $3300. But then, when I was driving on the highway, my car started shaking. So, I went back to them and they looked at it. They told me that the shaking had nothing to do with the work they did on my car. They suggested that I should trade it in for another vehicle. But why would I do that? I just paid $3300 for the repairs. My car didn't have any issues before I brought it to them. It seems like they might have done something to my car to make me buy a new one.
I been a customer of Dave Sinclair since 1993, and buy a new car every 5 to 6 years
I been a customer of Dave Sinclair since 1993, and buy a new car every 5 to 6 years. On September 17 I buy a F150 Lariat. The salesman, Sam, sell me a wheel warranty with this. When I take the vehicle to the service department they tell me there was something wrong with my wheels. I explain I was sold a warranty that cover that. I was inform that the warranty did not cover the issue. I request a refund of the warranty since it did not cover anything and I was told I would receive a prorated refund. I feel I was mislead about what the wheel warranty covers. They been giving me the run around.

Truk was sold out from under us while we had a buyers order on it
Truk was sold out from under us while we had a buyers order on it. The Buyers order was emailed by Tony Riggio with Dave Sinclair dealership on Friday 7/23 to Granite City Steel Credit Union in Edwardsville Illinois. GCS was financing the truck for us. We told our salesman Joe Gordon eith Dave Sinclair on Thursday 7/22 that we were going to be on a trip and could not pick up the check from our financer until Tuesday 7/27 and that we would be at the dealership immediately after picking up the check to pick up the truck we were purchasing. Monday 7/26 I received a text from Joe Gordon the salesman with Dave Sinclair Ford they sold the truck we were purchasing on Saturday 7/24 to someone else.
I bought a new Ford Broncho Sport from Dave Sinclair Ford Inc
I bought a new Ford Broncho Sport from Dave Sinclair Ford Inc. It was kinda hard to get one, ya know? And I had to pay the MSRP. But here's the thing, they added some extra stuff without askin' me first. They slapped on window tinting, fabric/paint protection, and pinstripe, which ended up costin' me around $1500 more. The pinstripe and fabric/paint protection weren't even on the car yet, but they still made me pay for 'em. Lookin' back, it's pretty messed up that they would add things I didn't want just to make more money. That ain't right, man. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. They should be kicked outta the ComplaintsBoard.com 'cause they ain't playin' fair. I want my $199 back for the pinstripe I didn't want, and they better give me back the money for the paint/fabric protection too 'cause I didn't want that either.

I bought a car from this dealership and 2 months later it was brought to the dealership on a flatbed twice and the second time they said they would cover a few parts under warranty and it would cost "this amount" when I got called back for me to pick it up they said oh well it's gonna be "this amount" which ended up being $300 more than what they originally told me, it pissed me off and I'm starting to think they sold me a vehicle with lots of previous issues and they weren't upfront about that at the beginning, some of the repairs should've have been compensated because the truck has been up there so much, it just really pisses me off and also my dad. This dealership I thought was a nice dealership and I bought a $5,000 warranty, the truck isn't even 2 1/2 months old! This is ridiculous. They could've fixed the minors ones and not charged me because it's just plain out [censored]!
We got a 2019 Ford Fusion from Dave Sinclair Ford on August 9 for $27,274.69 with service plans
We got a 2019 Ford Fusion from Dave Sinclair Ford on August 9 for $27,274.69 with service plans. We asked 'bout car service and they said it only got serviced once, maybe an oil change. On September 2, the car got towed from our crib 'cause the drive train messed up. It's still at the dealer's place. We found out it got serviced ten times. In 2019, it got serviced three times, in 2020, four times, and in 2021, four times. If we knew that back then, we wouldn't have bought it. The tires also got issues, one tire got mismatched tread and the other three got cracks, which ain't right according to Ford's manual. The dealer wants to trade it in and replace the tires. The bottom line is, if we knew 'bout the ten services, we wouldn't have bought it. We're meeting the sales manager today. We think we should be able to return the car and get a full refund.
On October 23, I got in touch with Dave Sinclair Ford
On October 23, I got in touch with Dave Sinclair Ford. I called a few other Ford dealers nearby to see if they could fix my 2012 F250 Diesel 4X4 vehicle. I let them know that I was on vacation and needed it fixed quickly. Two other dealers said they were too busy and couldn't look at it until the middle of next week. *** at Dave Sinclair Ford said that if I could bring the vehicle to him before noon, he would have a mechanic take a look at it that day. I brought the vehicle to the dealership around 10:30 on Friday, October 23.
On Monday, I called to check on the progress of my repair and around noon on Tuesday, I received a call from Dave. He told me that the parts would take about a week to arrive. I asked if it was possible to expedite the shipping, and he said he would do that and keep track of the order. I called on Friday, the 30th, and Dave said that as soon as the parts arrived, they would be installed.
Today, November [date missing], I left a voicemail asking about the status of my truck. Dave called back late this afternoon and said that Ford had canceled my order and that they wouldn't be able to receive any parts before November 30. I told David that I would buy the part myself and bring it to him. He then said that the parts would be in and the truck would be repaired by Friday, November 6.
