Customer Service - Exchange
I have been into a store to try and exchange a pair of sports shoes that are incorrectly sized my son measures a 7 and the boots are a 7 however he needs a 9 ! in these boots I have no receipt as my sone had chosen them from the internet and they were a gift from a relative. I tried to exchange in store for a larger size (the shoes are there own make and it says sports direct on the box) I was also going to buy other items in store so did not want any cash or credit note they would have made extra money out of the transaction. However because I have no receipt and they were a present they will not do an exchange. I was told by the manager that I would have to contact my elderly relative and get a copy of her bank statement! but if she had used cash then no refund or exchange. The assistant said she was embarassed at the amount of complaints they get and doesnt know what to say to people anymore. DO NOT BUY FROM SPORTS DIRECT VERY POOR. In these current times you would think companies would be bending over backwards to help people and retain customers.
Stores
I am writing to complain about the Store Manager in Watford who refused to give me a Credit Note or a refund for a Pair of Damaged [protected] Lonsdale Kendal Trainers purchased 2 weeks ago
They have only been warn 4 times and the soles are breaking off and damge to stitching above
The store Manager refused to give his name but gave me 171537 as his reference.
The Area Manager had just gone out for half hour and the Manager refused for me to wait and told me to contact you then with the centre Security asked me to leave the store.
I even experienced abuse from his Assistant Manager to my concerns.
I only managed to find a number after seeing information on complaints an 0845 number which cost to much for me to be left on hold..I have emaile them 3 times and no response

i brought a new 26" mountain bike for my daughter for her birthday, it turned up late and whilst putting it together the night before her birthday i noticed the refector was broken which was ok (dont need one anyway) but then when i was inflatting the tyres i found both were punctured, how the hell was i supposed to give my girl a present she could not use. she was gutted all thanks to sports direct thanks a lot for ruining my girls birthday. try employing monkeys they might do a better job as you cant do simple things, this is not the first time i had a problem using you

Waste of my money and time
I ordered two pairs of shoes and an upper and lower for cricket. i paid in full for all the 4 items but when they emailed me about the order dispatch, they only dispatched me 3 items. i contact customer service and they appologized and said, the item was out of stock and refunded for one item. on 16th of june i received the parcel. when i opened it, there were three ladies shirts and a pair of ladies trainer shoes and there were two bills, one for my order one for someone else. again i contacted customer service to compalint about this wrong dispatch, but till today i did not receive any response from them. i emailed them 4 times but still no reply. i missed my two cricket matches, because i had no clothing for cricket. the one i was using before was damaged. i play cricket for a club on saturday and sunday, and i missed these matches. playing each crcket match is very important for me. it matters my experience and repotation. i am a stubborn person, i can't borrow from someone else and the cricket club has ordered my kit but it will take time to arrive. now i am very depressed with sports direct's customer service. dont have enough money to buy from some where else as i spent my money on my party. now dont know what to do.
Shoe wear after 2 days
I bought a brand new pair of Adidas trainers last week for 34.99. Now I've worn them 2 times and the back bottom of them are peeling away. It looks like both sides are almost coming away after 2 days wearing them (No extra-curricular activities, just walking). Picture included.
Do I have a right to complain and ask for a new pair? All my friends in retail say I definitely do. I went to the shop and the Manager said "Adidas would laugh at him" if he tried to return them.
Do I have a case or should I just glue them and put up with it?
Thanks
I will do. How do you mean corporate?
Thanks for fast reply.

Thankyou for this advise...
Sports Direct are known for not sticking to the rules that are the Sale of Goods Act, take them back, speak to the manager, say they are unfit for purpose as per the sales of goods act and if they dont refund your money then you will be reporting them to trading standards.

Lies, rip offs and no deliery
I have a complaint regarding SportsDirect's awful internet shop and consequential lack of customer service. And it seems I am not the first either. No wonder they have no phone number, address OR actual information regarding complaints although their website falsely offers a chance to find it. I assume after so many complaints they have had to remove this from the website.
Today was the third time I have written to them via email with ZERO response. It is now day 4 after I placed my order with 24hr delivery and nothing. I had to call DHL to find out exactly when my parcel would arrive - apparently not such an urgent service after all - and they have advised me that as I was not able to receive the package (which might I add was attempted to be delivered at 9PM to my OFFICE) it is now sitting pretty in the Redhill depot.
Fabulous.
SEEING AS I SHALL NOT BE HERE OVER THE WEEKEND WE HAVE A PROBLEM. If I had ordered the package to my home address this would be fine except seeing as I booked and paid for 24 hour delivery one would assume that one should request the item to be delivered to the office as one would be in the office the next day when one ordered the item on Tuesday and asked for 24 hour delivery... right?
I expect a full refund of my £5.99 shipping charges, a reply to my email from a human and if possible a pair of trainers.
I will not be using their online or retail outlet shops again. Neither should you, they cannot be trusted and will rip you off

strongley agree they ruined my sons xmas
In September I ordered a number of items from Sports direct and I made a point of ordering before 10.00 to be sure and I also paid £5.99 for next day delivery as it was a Thursday, my items arrived at 18.45 Monday evening. I have since put this down as a one off but today the same thing has happened, I put my order in Monday morning it was process by 12.18 and today it hasn’t arrived it’s sitting in a Yodel depot just under fifty miles away where it’s been all day. I now think Sports Direct next day delivery is a scam and Yodel is an excuse for a delivery company, Royal Mail do far better and pay compensation if they don’t. JL
Same thing has happened to me.
I paid for next day delivery 7 days and many phone calls later still no delivery. Each time they say they will escelate it up to management and give me a call when Yodel (delivery company... they suck major ### too.) respond to them. I have asked them several times to give me a call at the end of the day wether yodel respond or not, each time they agreed, but then failed to make any sort of contact.
Customer Service is there just to get you off the phone as quickly as possible

Adidas Football Boots
To who ever thinks they can shed some light,
In August 2009, i bought a pair of Adidas F50i football boots from Sports Direct. The boots have only been worn on a saturday for matches and have been looked after and cleaned after every game. Now the boots ripped last week so i took the boots back into the store with a bank statement as proof of purchase as i'd lost the receipt, hoping for some kind of refund, exchange or credit note. The store manager told me that they only offer a 6 month gurantee as any thing after that is classed as 'general wear and tear' and that i should take it up with the manufacturer. Now to me, paying £100 for a pair of football boots and only really getting a 6 month gurantee with the store is ridiculous and to be honest, I feel like i've just been told that to get rid of me. Can anyone recommend anything?
Many Thanks

I'm currently having problems with Sports Direct too and I am determined not to let this drop.
Is everyone who has problems aware of the help that the Office of Fair Trading can offer ? Telephone [protected]
Dont put up with it!
Never ever use them
Ordered a rucksack from them, and it arrived some four days later. On inspection it was the wrong one (incorrect size). I emailed them, and continued to do so with no replies..! I've had to pay a carrier to return the item without ever knowing if I will ever recover my money. They force you to pay for any returns, and state you will not get this back, even when it's their fault. There is no communication whatsoever, and i would never use this company or recommend anyone else do so either.

Have a similar problem:
I've placed my order 04.03.2013 and according to the tracking system was delivered to Riga, Latvia 12.03.2013 (pretty fast by the way). But thanks to DHL Latvia my wife received this package 27.03.2013 after my mailing with the sportsdirect and DHL. On my 3 e-mails sportsdirect didn't respond at all! DHL was sure what they didn't receive for me any package. But finally my wife received. She opened package and was very shocked! Instead of few t-shirts and short inside the package was one pair of thermal pants, shirt and cup! Now, I must send back items which I didn't order at all at my own expenses! As I understood, sportsdirect not going to cover their mistake. They call it: exchange of items! I can not understand: what kind of exchange could be in such case if I still don't receive my original order. I can understand wrong sizing etc., but in my case not even single item match my order! Communication with the sportsdirect is very poor. Looks like they simple ignore me...
this place is a joke ... when returning a football that within 20 mins had burst its stitches after been blown up by incompetent sports direct staff whom had assured me they were extensively trained in blowing up balls (yawn) i was told i was a liar and theif after spending hundreds of pounds on various other sports gear during the year... i've been around sports gear all my life .. andsome of the claims made by theKINGS LYNN staff were outrageous ! i will not be spending a penny in this store again.. how these people whom have no sporting knowledge get jobs in a sports warehouse is beyond me.. JJB are looking evermore attractive - my advice stay away from this store - you've been warned ;)
My Daughter Puma Trainer
I bought a puma trainers for my daughter at sport direct at leyton, but the puma trainers was faulty by the manufacturer, i took back to sport world at Leyton branch and the manager in the store check it and accept that this is manufacturers fault but refuse to change it or refund it because i don't have the receipt, the manager even ask me to go and bring my statement of account if i can not find the receipt when i use my debit card to buy it,
I am so frustrated by this, this is not my fault and i dont think that i should pay for puma's fault, it's really unfair -

i have had the same today with some kangol boots not big enough round the calf and they couldnt exchange because the boot size was ok it was the width of the calf and i had my receipt and under the 1979 act these goods where not fit for purpose so there for i should of had a refund instead i was forced to have a gift card and i wouldnt want to shop there again. this was the Lichfield store. so boy cot it so that the rude disgusting worm of a manager is out of a job for next year.

Sports Direct are a hideous greedy retailer that needs to address its company policies and treat its customers in a far better manner. I myself have had unpleasant dealings with this company and want something done about their lack of customer care. At this time of year there will be thousands of people wanting to exchange or refund an unwanted or wrongly sized Christmas present. These people for the most parts will be left disappointed when they realise that Sports Directs policy is not to give refunds, only exchanges and with a receipt! I feel a lot of people shop in Sports Direct as it is cheap. I personally would prefer to pay a little more and go somewhere where I know my custom is valued and apprecaited and this is not Sports Direct!
