Repair for a broken table during move
After reporting the damage, I was promised a return call. That was a month ago. No return call and I have left several messages with no response. The standard contract offered insurance for damages and I even paid for extra insurance. The company loaded my furniture and boxes into 3 storage containers. Two were packed tightly and suffered no damage. The third was only about a third full and not secured properly. Everything shifted during the move causing lawn furniture to fall on top of boxes and a small wooden table. It was crushed but is repairable.
Square stealing money and terminating accounts for no reason.
After my customer paid me by credit card in total of $400.00 square then told me that verification of my account is needed. I provided the documents required and also explain to them that mine something I did as a real business is only something small like people around me I clean houses and I so clothing for them the square representative assured me that this would be no problem but without warning or Reason they terminated my account. So that was final and then stated I have to wait 90 days for my money so which they have no intention of giving to me I cannot believe this they give you absolutely no way to get hold of them by telephone number only email for what you send emails and they do not respond a small General emails telling you nothing this company is a scam and I can not believe this is allowed to happen we have to do something I'm going to do something I don't have money and I count on every dollar to feed my children and they took it all! Please help someone!?!?
The exact same thing happened to me..EXACTLY.
Except in my case the guy I spoke to laughed at me each time I asked for a supervisor, escalation department ans then a complaint department. He then laughed when I asked for his name. He the said his name was "JOSE" then laughed.
This company KNOWS EXACTLY what they are doing in how they are stealing from people who sign up with their account.
Square does NOT require verification nor notice of a verification process prior to taking payments. It DROPS THAT ON YOUR LAP ONLY AFTER YOUVE BEEN PAID BY YOUR 1ST CUSTOMER.
SO NOW THEY HAVE STOLEN MY MONEY BECAUZE I DO NOT HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS THEY ARE REQUIRING AND MY CUSTOMER PASSED AWAY. SO NOW WHAT! I LOSE $350 TO SQUARE!?!?
THIS COMPANY IS A FU$KING SCAM
They accept credit cards to make payments like like paypal
Square, Inc. Committed Fraud! Do Not Use Them!
Back on Saturday, April 30th, 2016, I used my American Express Credit Card to pay my contractor $20, 000.00 for a job that has Not Been Finished!
The way that I paid for this amount of money was by receiving an Invoice that my contractor sent to ME, however, Square, Inc. is the actual company that Charged My Credit Card and is the Same Company that is Responsible For Transferring My Money To Whoever I Wish To Pay which In My Case Was NEVER DONE!
I have waited Very Patiently For MY MONEY to be transferred to Mr. Justin Rivas, the Contractor and at least 18 Days Went By and Square, Inc. Deliberately and Purposely REFUSED TO TRANSFER OVER THE MONEY!
This Unprofessional and Dishonest Company was Illegally Holding My Money In Their Own Internal Account 100% Against My Will And Without My Legal Permission, Consent, Nor Authorization!
What Square, Inc. Has Committed Was FRAUD!
I can NOT tell you and reiterate on just How Many Times I Have Contacted The Horrible Square, Inc. No Customer Service Phone Number Of: [protected] to find out Why They Are Not Sending MY MONEY OVER TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS, THE CONTRACTOR!
Guess What Their Response Is? Answer: We Can NOT Discuss This Issue With You and Can Only Talk To Mr. Justin Rivas About It!
My Response: That Does Not Make Any Sense Since It Was Me Who Initiated The $20, 000.00 Payment To Begin With and It Was Done With My American Express Credit Card Which Is In My Name, NOT HIS!
Square, Inc.'s Customer Service Department did absolutely Nothing To Assist Me, Nor Help Me!
Furthermore, I did speak to Mr. Justin Rivas about it and he also called them many times ONLY to receive a Runaround, Lies and Mind Games stating that he did Not Fill Out The Paperwork Properly, or that he Needs To Resend Some Of The Same Documents Over And Over.
Even though he did as he was told, Square, Inc. still REFUSED TO SEND THE $20, 000.00 DOLLARS OVER TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS, THE CONTRACTOR!
I was so Angry and Pissed Off over this Type Of Abuse Coming From Square, Inc. that I tried to call their Customer Service Department back again and Dispute The Money and Have It Go Back To My American Express Credit Card and this is What Their Customer Service Screwed Up Department Told Me!
Square, Inc. Customer Service's Response: They told me that they can NOT Dispute The $20, 000.00 for ME On My Behalf (Even Though I Am The Payer) and said that I need to contact American Express To Dispute It!
Well they are also 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SINCE THEY TOOK MY $20, 000.00 ILLEGALLY AND COMMITTED FRAUD BY HOLDING MY MONEY IN ONE OF THEIR INTERNAL ACCOUNTS WITHOUT SENDING IT TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS AS IT STATES ON MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT!
Please NOTE: I have NEVER had an experience like this one before and hopefully NEVER AGAIN!
Moving Forward: Back On, Monday, May 16th, 2016, I finally decided to Stop Waiting, Hoping and Dreaming for Square, Inc. to Transfer This Money To Mr. Justin, Rivas, The Contractor and instead I called up American Express and Filed A Dispute Against Square, Inc. For FRAUD!
Please NOTE: I Refuse to Pay For Fraud and Refuse to Pay For Something that I NEVER RECEIVED and Square, Inc. Must Have A Reputation at Doing This To Many Of Their Customers!
The Problem Is That Many Of Their Ex-Customers Are Afraid To Post Reviews On Their Negative Experiences because they are either Afraid or Scared Of The Outcome, Including Retaliation By The Company Which Rarely Happens, or Just Do Not Have The Time or Maybe They Simply Do Not Care To Let The Public Know On What Happened To Them And Would Rather Just Keep It Private!
However, I Dare To Be Different and I Am Blowing The Whistle Loud And Clear Against Square, Inc. To Let Them Know That You Can NOT Get Away With This!
At The Present Time, I Am Still Waiting For This Fraudulent Money Of $20, 000.00 That Square, Inc. Stole And Held In Their Internal Company Account To Be Returned Back To American Express Since I Will NOT Pay For FRAUD!
I am also Making A Very Serious Recommendation To American Express To Cut Their Ties And Business Dealings With Square, Inc. In Order To Prevent This Type Of Fraud From Happening To Their Other Customers Like It Just Happened To ME!
Enclosed, in the attachments, please find seven (7) pages of communications that I had with Square, Inc., American Express and Mr. Justin Rivas, The Contractor for your reference and further review.
Final Thoughts: My Advice To Anyone Searching For A Way To Pay Somebody Is First Of All "NOT To Ever Consider Using Square, Inc."
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Howard Paul Shore

Hey, I am a representative for Ware-Ever pay, a new and relatively small mobile credit card processing service, and I would like to reach out to you as somebody who is frustrated with the way Square conducts their business. Unlike Square, we are a direct processor. This allows us to offer industry leading rates (2.49% swiped, 3.39% keyed with no monthly fee, or 2.29% swiped, 2.99% keyed with a $4.50 monthly fee), as well as a guarantee that funds will appear in your account the next business morning following any transaction. Square, on the other hand, aggregates all of their transactions and has them processed by a third party. This not only results in a larger markup, but also increases the likelihood that your money will be held for weeks, even months. On top of this, Square has an abysmal reputation when it comes to customer service. Because they force their millions of customers to direct their concerns and complaints through email, it can be a difficult and painstakingly slow process to deal with them. We know that when it comes to being funded for your transactions, you don't have time to wait around. Accordingly, our customer service queries are carried out over the phone to ensure that issues are addressed in real time, by real people. If thousands of dollars of your money was being withheld from you, would you rather sit around waiting for a big company to respond to your email, or have the ability to address the issue over the phone with a real person? Please feel free to call us at [protected] if you are interested or have any questions.
Scam company
Squareup Credit Card Acceptance Company is planning some big scam I suppose, the have affiliated with big retail shops in US but there is actually nothing behind this company. Their website is a joke and I doubt that it has some other purpose than scamming people.
Read full review of Square and 1 commentUnprofessional, do not honor there advertisement statements, poor customer service, I dont think its a real company
So I am a small business owner in New York City. I have a very busy small business dealing in Thrift, Antiques, Vintage Items, modern furniture, Vinatge jewlery, and any odd item you can think of. I have been a loyal Paypal user my entire life and I should have stuck with Paypal after this encounter.
I am out one morning and see an advertisement in a postal store for SquareUP.com payments. The actual card reader was hanging on the wall and read "Square Card Reader Accept Payments Everywhere". I purchase the item soley for the benifits listed on the back "plug and go", "Get your money Fast (the next day)", and "Just 2.75% per swipe". All those what turned out to be false promises and advertisements pursuaded me into purchasing the swip reader for $10.00.
I start using Squareup.com iphone application almost instantly on my iphone. The first couple of swipes for some Antique purchases in my shop go into the squareup.com account and than into my bank account the very next business day.
A few days later I sell three orders in my shop and I am happy to offer credit card option in my shop to all my loyal customers who come and visit us here on a daily basis. The three swipes go into squareup.com and the customers recieve there antique items & (1) flat screen Sony Television. The very next business day there is no money in the bank account, I shrug it off and say hey I'll give it another day. After several days there is still no funding in the bank account so I grow nervous and suspicous and contact squareup.com (which is not customer service friendly).
Once finally on the phone with a squareup.com and I quote "representative" they inform me that "I have to become verified and the issue with not recieving the fund with be resolved and I will have my funds in 1 to 2 business days". So I abide by there wishes even tho it goes against there well advertised "Get Your Money Fast" & "Plug in and Go" slogans.
I get to this form that asks about myself and my business records. I provide them with everything they ask for including Personal security information, Business License, Federal EIN number, NYS Tax I.D. #, and My business (3) most recent bank statements. After I fullfill the request of Squareup.com I sit and wait a couple of days and receive not one call or email. I than track down the hard to find phone number and call in again myself. At that time I am informed by a Squareup.com and I quote "representative" that they have all my information everything looks good the funds will be available in one to two business days. No sooner as hanging up the phone an email pops up into my inbox stating that I have been found fraudulent/ highrisk & cannot access my funds for 180 days.
At this point I am steaming and slowly losing my passive composure. So I grab the phone that I hung up two minutes ago and call back! Once on the line with the Squareup.com "representative" (Who is the same person on the phone for two weeks and probably is there only representative which is an obvious RED FLAG now) I am informed that I cannot recieve the funds for the Antique sales I had just made & delievered. Mind you that we are talking several thousands dollars here but even if it was a few hundred I would still be steamed because this is some severely unprofessional group they call a company!
So now I am furious and I ask well how do I get paid for the items I have sold in my shop? I am informed to "refund the customers there money & use another application for credit card payment". Are you serious is what I replied! These items are long gone out of my shop & delievered! "Yes Sir there is nothing we can do to assist you at this time". So I ask what is your mailing address I am having my attorney contact you! He replies "please have your attorney call in to the legal department we do not provide addresses to customers". That sums it up I have had enough!
Thank Goodness that I have a family oriented store and customers & clients who have become like family to us in our shop! They where all willing to come back into the shop and swipe there cards in PayPal. So I do not lose the sales or the items! Anyone in my shoes with a small business knows that several thousand dollars is not easy to wait for! Especially SIX MONTHS.
Beware of this Squareup.com company ( I am convinced they are not even a company). This report that I have written thoroughly for my fellow Americans & friends over seas should raise all the red flags that you need to know about before you even think of using this company. Stick with PayPal at least they are established & very fair when it comes to disputes!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Squareup .com keeps sending me all these receipts that say I have just paid all different merchants, different amounts and see full receipts? I have not done business with any of these and am sitting at my desk at work so I know I am not out purchasing anything! How can I stop this? What is going on?
I have learned the hard way that squareup is a scam they have not and will not pay you when you swap a big sale I quess its there way of teaching you how big business does business.so I say since the guy that started tweeter owns this company square up screw you I say everyone stop using tweeter and for gods sake don't use square up.
Stealing my money
On March 18th we ran a payment through the square card website. The payment was for 12, 734.10. We had expected the full payment to be in our bank account the next morning. Well only 2002 got deposited. We were very upset. It turned out that if you do not swipe the card they hold your money for 30 days. SO we did mumble and complain to the company about...

I used yo use square but with their poor customer service and the fact that they want to hold your money for lengthy periods, I can not afford to use them. We are a small business that is doing everything we can do to survive this economy and dealing with square is killing us. We have elected to use Pay Anywhere. People make sure you check this company out before you sign up with them or you will be sorry and if anyone finds a customer service number please forward it to me,

They will not release my merchant money
First data is the merchant services company that services my business account for wells fargo bank. I received a levy from the board of equalization and subsequently had the levy released on 8/14/2012. The board of equalization faxed me the same document that they faxed to first data. I attempted to contact first data regarding the funds they are holding and got the run around, I contacted wells Fargo and they were not able to get anyone to advise them if they received the release or when they will release my money. It is ridiculous that there isn't a person that you can speak to nor does anyone call back. My business will close if they don't release the funds they are holding.
Why would they be holding your funds? The reason they do this is always because of suspected fraud. Either on your part or a customers payment. I have a lot of merchants and I have only seen one hold and that was due to a stolen card used from Africa to make a large purchase.
Fraud
I own a small business doing website design, SEO, advertising and web hosting. I also run an online training course for consumers and provide consulting services. I signed up for the Square card reader for the iphone in January. Everything seemed to go fine for several months--whenever I took a card payment the money was usually in my bank the next day.
Everything was fine until one of my customers made a payment of $1800 shortly after a previous customer had paid $1700 within a seven day period.
Well, Square sent me an email saying they were holding everything over the first $1000 for 30 days. There was no indication they would do this when I signed up for the service. Then they suspended my account because they said they needed further information--tax forms, invoices, website info, and much more. I submitted everything they asked for. This resulted in Square canceling my account and telling me they were going to keep everything they owed me for 180 days because my account was "high risk." I have also used paypal for over 2 years without a single problem. Not one.
My advice for small business that want to grow--don't sign on with these bandits. They will rip you off if you take a payment they think is too big. Their customer service is nonexistent. You can't reach them by phone--ever. They have pat answers for all their complaints and you'll never talk to a real human being because YOU are not a valued customer--you're just someone putting nickels in their pocket. Try Merchant Warehouse--they'll bend over backwards to get your business with a personal phone call.
But be warned small business person--don't use Square--it's a rip-off and a problem waiting to happen.

Theft
Square is holding over 35 thousand dollars on our Company account, they say for 90 days. Who knows if we will EVER get it.
There have been 70 complaints file with the San Francisco BBB alone in the past 12 months.
YES, use this company if you can AFFORD to HAVE YOUR FUNDS HELD INDEFINITELY AT THEIR WHIM.
They just assume this is O.K. No problem, we don’t need the 35k that we worked so hard for to pay our bills. PLEASE! I have heard from MANY customers who have experienced the same thing.
If you are reading this, chances are you too have had a problem. Report them to the Following: States Attorney General in California AND your own State (do both), and the BBB.
They need to be STOPPED!
Secret Cancellation Clause
Never, Never would I use Clear Choice Merchant Services again. Poor service, secret cancellation clause in contract, unreasonable decision makers. Clear Choice Merchant Services sent me a contract 2 years ago which I signed. When I tried to cancel this year, 2012, they told me that there was a 3 year cancellation clause which I had never seen or heard of! They presented 3 pages of small print that I did not sign and demanded payment. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau with the facts. They in turn took over $400 out of my bank account without my permission. Clear Choice Merchant Services ripped me off and because their fees are automatically deducted, I will have to pursue getting my funds back without my banks help. Their are so many other choices which are easier, cheaper and have, no contracts, like PayPal. I will be using them from now on. I will never, never use Clear Choice Merchant Services again. Clearly they will not be my choice.
First off, not all providers put you in a contract, with a cancelation fee. Ask to see where it is on the contract, BEFORE you sign it. Secondly, you might want to check out paypalsucks.com, before over paying for accepting cards, and then losing your money to a company that will keep it on a whim. Research providers, before signing. Google, Bing, Yahoo, you'll find comments, and reviews from businesses on all providers.
Wow, I agree with the first commentor. You sound like someone who didn't read your contract or do any research on Credit Card Processing Companies. I did before I signed up with ClearCloice. All processors have some sort of contract term and early cancellation fee, unless you get them to put it on your contract that you do not. It is listed in the booklet of terms, you should have read those. Most likely you signed that you read them somewhere on the application. Shame on you for not reading what you signed. I have been with ClearChoice for many years and I do not have 1 complaint. When I have to call them, I get a person in the US on the phone right away. They are always nice and have always helped me if I have a batch problem. From Customer Service to Tech support the team at ClearChoice is top notch. I have a feeling this will not be the only problem you business encounters if you do not pay attention to the contracts you sign or agreements you make. If you are looking for processing, call ClearChoice they are honest and easy to work with. I recommend them to my friends.
This is a perfect example of people not reading their contract fully before signing.
You sound like someone who did not read your contract and now have "buyers remorse" if you broke your contract for a cell phone you would have to pay an early term fee with them as well. I would bet there is more to this story then you are saying here. I have been with Clear Choice since 2007 and never had an issue, they have always helped me when I needed it, like when my terminal died because someone spilled a drink on it, they sold me a new one for about the same price i would have gotten it off ebay for and it was completely programed when it arrived, i just pluged it in and i have been good since then.
Poor customer service/scam
My Ex and I were needing a quick and painless way to settle up on a vehicle that we had purchased. After reading about the Squareup.com product we thought that It would be worth checking out because we needed to use a credit card to make the transaction between us.
I initially emailed the people at squareup.com to explain the situation to them, in detail, as I was aware that there is a hold on payouts over $1, 000. My inquiry was responded to quickly and enthusiastically to increase my payout as long as I swiped the card with my Square reader.
Two days later I received an email from the Square risk department asking for details of the transaction since I was a first time user. I appreciated that they were doing their due diligence to protect the company and other users, so I explained the situation again and referred back to my previous inquiry which resulted in my payout status being accelerated. Our full cooperation was offered along with my personal number for contact if needed.
Twenty-four hours later I had heard nothing back. I sent another email to the Square help address, again speaking of the situation and asking of an update.
Another 24 hours later (Now four days after the original transaction) I had not received a reply, Another email was sent again asking for some status update.
It has now been 5 days since the original transaction, 4 days since Square's inquiry, and I have sent six (6) messages to them and have yet to receive a single reply.
They offer No other means of reconciliation on their website. At this point I think I will have to engage the credit card company to stop the transaction and do any reporting against Squareup that is needed.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Ive had a square acct active for months but never used it, then the oportunity arises and I have no other options. this guy owes me and has to pay over a coruse of several swipes to get to our aggreement. well, even with no disputes at all and several emails to no onr apparently, they finally givr me a number to call and inform me that my account is / will be closed... blah... blah... fine but what about my money you havent releasede...
I can promise yall this, I run tattoos for a living and its hard out here now, I will go see about atleast getting what I feel is my moneies worth out iof somebodies [censored]in [censored] about mine, ive done 15 years in prison for nothing... this time itll be a cause worth my time...
Square is going to continue to do what they do for a long as people allow them to get away with things. You need to (1) contact your state's attorney generals office (2) contact the Federal Trade Commission and (3) get a lawyer involved. Contacting your state and hounding them left and right is the only way your going to get action taken against Square. You cannot let Square screw you over and then just become a victim and then walk away from it. They are doing it to a lot of people because they know people aren't taking action against them. So Square will do it over and over again until merchants and customers start taking action and doing exactly what we say. PayPal was the same way, after being sued every 3 months, they settled every single time, and then jumped up and down saying we didnt do nothing wrong. You need to contact both state and government authorities, file a class action law suit against square AND DONT SETTLE. If they settle, they will just continue to do what they were doing in the first place. Only when they get convicted is when they are faced with changing their business practices or shutting down operations. Don't settle for the quick dollar, and allowing your attorney or legal firm make a quick buck and move on, you have to get a conviction.
Anyone wishing to get involved with class action against SQUARE please E-mail me at Aceon77@aol.com. I will give you MY personal contact information and we can get the ball rolling on this. Already have several people. NEVER mind what it says in "their" user agreement. They currently hold $6, 000 of MY $. THEY ARE RUINING SMALL BUSINESSES and I seems that complaints are NOT being addressed by government agencies or State attorney generals. I guess WE have to help ourselves. EVEN IF IT TAKES YEARS! Ask yourself this...WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE? SAVE ALL YOUR INFO AS IT IS A "PATTERN" I AM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER IN MA. YOU CAN LOOK ME UP AFTER WE TALK AND I TELL YOU WHO I AM. TS
i to had problems with them they are holding 975.00 of my money for 90 days and will not answer my e mails or any questions on the phone they suck for custmer service if i ran my business this way i would be out of busniess they are a scam stay way
If you want to get your money and send a message complain to Starbucks who recently became a square user. Email, call and write how disappointed you are about your experience and how disappointed you are that Starbucks has chosen to use a bad organization like this.
It's crazy to hear all the chaos that Square has created with these merchants! I must say, it's definitely not the first time I have heard this. For those of you who still need a mobile payment processing app, I have a much better solution for you... PhoneSwipe! It's seriously 100 times better than Square. Square has a beautiful app, but that's pretty much it. There is an awesome blog article on the www.moblized.com website regarding Square vs. PhoneSwipe. You might want to check it out =) http://www.moblized.com/blogs/blog/phoneswipe-compare-square
In a nutshell, PhoneSwipe has a more durable card reader, a great app, 24/7 LIVE customer service, the rates are comparable, the sales agents at Moblized are honest and friendly, and your funds won't be held like they were with Squares. In my opinion, it's worth it to do some research and see if it's a better option for you.
I agree with all the complain that Square gets.
They hold our money for over 30 days, I could not find a way to email them every time I tried I always got the same response. Mail not process yet, we had to borrow money to pay our suppliers and our employees due to Square holding our money for 30 day. What a horrible company the Feds should get involve with a company like this and put them out of business. They are scumming people with their money.
Be aware of them, I would not recommend anyone to do business with them.

This company is unbelievable. They promise to process deposits within 36 hours. So, I verified my account as requested. I processed two deposits equaling a little over $600. I waited 24 hours, 36 hours even 48 hours for the funds. Nothing. So I emailed their customer service. After two additional days, the company responded that I needed to send in an invoice and tracking numbers. I did so, but I was upset as this is WAY past the 36 hours they promised. It has now been TWO weeks since I have received a reply and the funds have yet to be deposited. This company is unbelievable AND since the transactions were considered processed on their end, there is no way to refund my customers until they decide to release the funds. I would warn against using them in the future.
Also, I would recommend withdrawing your money or closing the account to prevent possible possible illegal withdrawls by squareup.
No customer support or user manual
I signed up for Square Up a week ago and just starting using. there are so many bugs in the application. I have sent 14 emails today alone to support and NOT one has been answered. how does this company ever expect to stay in business without any customer support. I will be looking to their competitors fir a more reliable way to accept credit cards. very frustrating for a small business owner (and this service was recommended to us). Great idea that's POORLY executed!
Similar complaint--I signed up for SQUARE in August 2012, upon advice/recommendation from other independent contractors. I cannot get in touch with anyone at customer service; their phone # is a dead end that just hangs up on you (after it sends you back to their website). No 'online chat'; their auto response email indicates they are committed to responding to you as quickly as possible. I am trying to run a business and need to know that the company I am going to do business with will be able to respond in a professional manner to my question. I have a link on my website to PayPal and never had any problems; I am considering using Intuit or another credit card service. I have warned them I am looking at other companies in which to do business. So far, it hasn't phased them because they still are not responding to my emails. What type of company doesn't have 24/7 customer service? Are they investing all their revenue into advertising and marketing?
I signed up for Square Up in February of this year I received my card reader, but I am still having trouble linking my bank account! So they have several of my transactions that they are holding because they say they can't link my account and I have check with my bank to verify that there are funds in my account and they stated to me yes! I am sooo extremely frustrated!
I signed up to squareup about 3wks ago, and i must say after 30yrs in small business "IT IS THE WORST" credit card service ever! HANDS DOWN! I have returned all funds reversed to my customer because they are selective as to when they want to release funds, but mean while THEY have the funds so they may collect interest. I have decided to make it my mission to let all small business' know not to even consider this squareup because if you need answers from them, they will not respond any emails (again, selectively). No phone numbers, no address, no nothing. You have been warned, a true nightmare with this company. Use, intuit, roampay or somebody else where you can get a LIVE person on the line who can actually assist you when need be. As far as i am concerned this Square place could be some pre-teen in some living room in Dubai who does not give a hoot about customers. I will be starting a squareup campaign on the internet to let all people know about this terrible service, so please do your homework and don't let this happen to you.
You actually received the reader?
After applying twice and a few emails, I have yet to receive a reader, despite their emails saying that the reader has been sent, and yes, there is ABSOLUTELY NO LIVE SUPPORT!
Nobody to talk to in an emergency. Nobody to talk to at all!
Can a company like this be trusted with your important financial and bank account information?
Long hold on my money and no customer support
Started using squareup.com to accept credit card payments from my customers in January, 2011. Used it four times without incident. Took a $1200 payment in March, 2011 and only received a partial payment to my bank account. After submitting a request through their email and not hearing back for over a week, I figured out, via their FAQ, s, they still consider me a "new" customer and they hold amounts over $1, 000 per month for 30 days. No contact from them yet so I've decided to switch to Intuit's GoPayment service and close the Squareup account as soon as I get the rest of my money. I certainly will not and do not recommend this company as their customer service is non- existent and they appear to want to make money on your money while they hold it.
On the 14th of March i brought 2 pairs of low cut converse sneakers
I received the wrong size shoes and would like to be able swap them to the proper size
The pair of shoes were delivered to Australia

Kima Anderson robbed me 3times for total 750 $ I wanna refund and press charges
Payement to $Blepay. This is u acceptable!
I have been their customer since December 2015 and was receiving my payments regularly. However, they stopped sending my money for four days and could not get hold of anyone at the company. You can't even get their phone numbers to call. I am so frustrated and had to call the attorney
General's office to complain. This company looks to be a rip-off and I would not recommend them to anyone.
They keep holding my transactions, now Square has over $7000.00 of my money! They are NOT honoring their guidelines that states WHEN my money will be deposited in my account. I think they are PLAYING with my money! I feel that this company IS NOT secure. It's been over a week now. If I don't hear from someone by tomorrow, I am contacting the attorney general. Does anyone know where they are located or have any suggestions?
I WOULD WITHDRAW ANY MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT ...THESE PEOPLE MIGHT JUST DEPLETE IT ALSO...I SMELL SCAM!
UPSQUARE SUCKS...I TRIED THEM OUT AND ONLY DID 2 TRANSACTIONS FOR A TOTAL OF $400.00 THIS LAST SAT. AND NOW IT'S TUESDAY AND THEY HAVE YET TO DEPOSIT MY MONEY...WHAT THE F...!
There's a new solution from SalesVu which is cheaper and has more features for mobile businesses. It seems to be picking up; has a marketing feature that integrates with Facebook too.
I too have had a pleasurable experience with Square Up. Like the comment before mine, check the FAQ's before you complain! When I first signed up with them, I emailed them because I knew I would go over the $1, 000 a week threshold. They responded with a link to fill out a form. I filled it out and got an increase to $3, 000 a week. The threshold is only for manually pined cards, not everything. There is more liability on them processing cards that are not present. I told them 90% of my business is over the phone and email with my clients since I do web development and they were more than happy to increase for me. I have since canned my other merchant (Paynet Systems) because they lied to me several times and actually talked bad about a company they never processed through. I think it is just bad practice to ever talk bad about another company. Square's customer service number is above and works, but seems like their response on email is getting much faster. Posts a month ago were saying a couple to a few days, but I received response by the very next day.
Hope this helps in any ones decisions

Some people just can't seem to read the website before complaining. Before I sign up for ANYTHING I read all the FAQ's, help forums, etc to make sure I know what I am getting into. Have been using Square for a couple months now and love it. Use both swiped and manual CC's and it works great. When I first started, I wasn't sure if I would go over the $1, 000 limit in one week for new customers but business was booming and my first week was to collect over $2, 000 in payments. I just sent them an email asking for an increase, they sent an email back with a link where you fill out some information and they got back to me a few days later saying they increased my weekly amount to $5, 000. During the few days (it was during a holiday weekend so I didn't expect an immediate response) that I was waiting for a response, I figured out that I could create a secondary account under a second checking account I had so I could still collect payments and it wouldn't get tied up in the $1, 000 limit. Worked great, now use the second account as a back up. They respond fairly quickly via Twitter @sqsupport All the fees and limit information is listed on their website - READ IT!
Obviously a shill.
Theft/no customer service
I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website. I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them. The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them. They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance. They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive. On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint. If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.
hello
Returning home I did, but at the moment I'm on your member ship you want to market this system in Turkey, you give me in this regard with interest how to create working conditions
vatan_inc@hotmail.com
I'm following up on the comment to see if you've since received your money. I'm evaluting mobile CC processing options and squareup was one of them that kept coming up.
What was the problem with the bank account that they would not send your money? Was your account verified?
And did they finally send you your money?
Thanks in advance for the follow up!
