SLT's Technical Service Needs Improvement for Fast Fiber Connection
I'm a software dev and I need fast fiber connection to do my work. But sometimes the service goes down and it takes too long to fix. Today, my connection went down at 8:30 in the morning. I called customer care and they said a technician would come in 2 or 3 hours. But it's now 4:40 in the afternoon and still no one has come to fix it. It's been 8 hours and I can't work. This is not good for our country's development. SLT, please improve your technical service for customers.
Disappointing Customer Service: My Frustrating Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT.LK)
I recently had a very frustrating experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk). My router has been down for a whole week now and despite my numerous calls to their customer service, no one has come to fix it. I even spoke to their manager who promised me that the issue would be resolved as soon as possible, but nothing has happened yet.
I explained to them that the problem was with the outside cables, but all they did was restore the connection and send me a message saying that the problem was fixed. This is not the kind of service I expected from a company like SLT.
I am extremely disappointed with their customer service and if there was any other company that offered fiber internet in my area, I would switch to them without a second thought. It's frustrating to pay for a service that doesn't work and to have to deal with unresponsive customer service representatives.
Overall, I would not recommend SLT to anyone looking for reliable internet service. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and I would advise anyone to look for other options.
Disappointing Service from SLT: Slow Response and Lack of Communication
I wanted to get a new fiber connection from Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) and I filled out the application form online. It took two requests for them to finally take my application, but after that, I haven't heard anything from them for almost a month now. I'm not sure if SLT understands that in today's world, people don't have the patience to wait for months for an Internet connection like they used to in the olden days when SLT used to dominate. If their level of service is like this even before you purchase the connection, I can only imagine what the service will be like once you actually purchase it. I would advise others to stay away from this ISP.
Poor Customer Care Service of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT.LK)
Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) is a company that provides internet and phone services to customers. However, their customer care service is not up to the mark. They are very irresponsible and cannot fix our connection problems as soon as possible. It takes almost half an hour to talk to someone in customer care, which is very frustrating.
Whenever I have to call them, the first thing I do is reload 100 rupees to my phone. This is because the connection drops every time, and it takes a long time to reconnect. I don't know what happened, but my connection is not working right now. I called the customer care, but they don't answer. It's very annoying because I need to use the internet for my work.
I wonder what the hell they are doing now in the night besides answering phone calls. It seems like they are not doing anything to improve their services. It's a $#*!ty situation, and I hope they will do something about it soon. Overall, I am not satisfied with their services, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing Internet Service and Customer Support from Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk)
I've been in Sri Lanka for a few weeks now and decided to get the unlimited wifi package from Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) for 25GB limit a day and unlimited my $#*!. However, I have to say that I'm quite disappointed with the service. The download speed has barely crossed 50Mbps and the upload speed is not even 15Mbps. It's frustrating to have such slow internet, especially when I'm on vacation and need to stay connected with my loved ones back home.
I decided to go to the Sri Lanka Telecom office in person to bring up the issue. However, I was disappointed to find out that they just kept selling more packages for me to buy and yet nothing has changed. It seems like they just want to line their pockets with my money, just like the corrupt Sri Lankan government who cheated their people! It's quite frustrating to deal with such a company that doesn't care about their customers.
Overall, I would not recommend Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) to anyone looking for reliable internet service. The slow speeds and lack of customer service make it a terrible choice. I would give them zero stars if I could, but unfortunately, the system forces you to give a rating.
Disappointing Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom: Unreliable Service and Unskilled Repairs
I recently had an experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had paid for PEO TV and internet at the Kotte teleshop on July 22, 2022, but it took nearly a month for them to attend to my request on August 18, 2022. During this time, I had to speak to the engineer in Narahenpita several times on the number the Kotte receptionist gave me, as well as the manager in Kotte.
Unfortunately, just two days after the line was fixed, it stopped working again. This was incredibly frustrating, and I had to contact the SLT team once again to come and fix the issue. However, the teams who came for repairs were unskilled and irresponsible. In fact, the team who came to fix my telephone line actually damaged my wall while making a hole with a screwdriver to insert a wall plug. It seemed as though they either did not have the proper tools or were simply too lazy to do the work properly.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by SLT. I regret selecting them for my internet, TV, and voice calls, as the experience has been nothing but frustrating and time-consuming. I hope that SLT can improve their services in the future, as I would hate for others to have to go through the same experience that I did.
Terrible Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) - False Promises and Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased an ADSL connection from Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) and I must say, it has been a terrible experience. I was promised a 10Mbps connection, but after installation, I was only getting 3.5Mbps. What a joke! I have complained numerous times about this issue, even emailing senior members of SLT, but to no avail. It seems like they don't care about their customers.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from SLT. I have not received any permanent solution to my problem, nor have I received any calls regarding the issue. It's frustrating to see how government officers are playing with people's jobs and not taking their responsibilities seriously.
The Anuradhapura branch of SLT is one of the worst branches I have ever come across. I don't understand how they appointed such cheap and unprofessional people for responsible positions. It's a shame that we have to deal with such incompetence in our country.
I strongly advise against using SLT's services. They are useless and not worth the money. It's sad to see how we can't develop our country with these types of services. It's time for SLT to step up their game and provide better services to their customers.
Disappointing Service and Poor Customer Care: My Experience with SLT 4G
I've been using SLT 4G service for a good 4 years now, and I must say, their service is quite disappointing. It's not uncommon for the signal strength to be very poor, and for the connection to be disconnected without any reason. It's frustrating, especially when you've paid your bill and your data package is not over. I've had to call them several times to increase the signal strength, and it's not always a pleasant experience.
I've noticed that this happens quite often, and I can't help but wonder if they're purposefully reducing the speed of the connection and disconnecting it as well. It's happened to me more than three times, and it's not something I'm happy about.
Another issue I've had with SLT is their payment system. Even after paying the bill, they sometimes say that the payment has not been realized. It's frustrating because I don't understand why they can't adjust their system to acknowledge online payments in real-time. It's not like it's a new technology or anything.
Despite their claims of "We care always", I don't think they care about their customers at all. It's like they hold the monopoly of the market, and they don't care about the quality of the service or the customer service. It's a shame because I've been a loyal customer for a long time, but I'm seriously considering switching to another provider.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend SLT to anyone. Their service is very annoying, and they don't care about their customers. If you're looking for a reliable internet service provider, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Frustrating Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom: Disconnected for 3 Days with No Resolution in Sight
My experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) has been quite frustrating. My SLT line got disconnected on the 14th and it's been three days now, but it's still not fixed. I have called their call center at least three times a day, and the total call duration has been over an hour.
I understand that Sri Lanka was locked down from the 14th till the 17th morning, but SLT is under the essential service category, so there should be no obstacle for them to work in any means necessary. My home, land phone, internet, and TV are all three facilities provided by SLT, and due to this breakdown, we were completely disconnected from society.
I have called them over seven times during the past three days and even spoke to their call center supervisor yesterday. Yet, they have not attended to my complaint, and I have tried to get in touch with the Ragama area office, but they are not answering the phone.
Since my parents are old and they are using this land phone, I cannot ask SLT to disconnect this entire thing. Otherwise, I could have asked them to rid this entire thing from my home. I'm not recommending anyone to take a new connection from Sri Lanka Telecom.
It's quite frustrating to be disconnected from society, especially during these times when we rely on the internet and phone to stay connected. I hope SLT can attend to my complaint soon and fix the issue.
Disappointing Service from Sri Lanka Telecom PLC: A Customer's Experience
I've had some really bad experiences with Sri Lanka Telecom PLC and I just have to share it with everyone. I've been having problems with my Fibre connection for over a year now and I've complained several times to their customer service reps. But nothing seems to be working. The response time to any of my complaints has been really slow and it's been really frustrating.
The problems started when monkeys started pulling out the overhead fibre cables. Then there were router cable malfunctions. But every time I complain, it takes forever for them to fix the problem. I recently had a maintenance crew member call me to fix a time to address the problem only to have him delay by about 5 hours. When I called to inquire about his whereabouts, he said "Wrong Number". Can you believe that?
Yesterday, I called frequently because of my past experiences. I spoke with a customer service rep called Nuftha, who had the audacity to state that I wouldn't have any help in just a couple of hours post my complaint. But she guaranteed me that my line would be fixed within 24 hours of the complaint. I made it clear that I'd call back if that didn't happen and mention her name to her supervisor/manager. To which she sarcastically replied, "OoooKkkk".
Today, I called 1212 and told the customer service rep that it's not helping me talking with them, so I'd like to speak with someone who actually has some authority to take action and get the relevant people to attend to my problem ASAP. But I was put on hold till I ran out of credit. Can you imagine that? I spent 21:59 minutes and 53.94 rupees and I'm still the butt of their incompetence.
I understand that it's New Year's and that there is a possibility that help is scarce. But my connection was working fine until I saw a crew of their maintenance team working outside my premises. As soon as I saw the connection drop, I ran out only to find them missing.
It's really disappointing that a corporate giant like Sri Lanka Telecom PLC would treat their customers this way. During such a crucial economic state, you'd think that they would pull out all their reserves to retain customers and their loyalty. But it seems like they don't care about their customers at all. I've already downgraded and will opt out as soon as another service provider enters the ring. Whatever immunity it is that they have that lets them treat customers the way they do, it's not right.
I'm a really disgruntled customer and I hope that Sri Lanka Telecom PLC will do something about their poor service.

Scammers Alert: My Terrible Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT.LK) Internet Provider
Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) ain't the best internet provider out there. The connection is slower than a snail on a hot day, and they add big taxes for buying extra data. It's like they're trying to rob you blind. And don't even get me started on the router. It restarts few times everyday, which is a real pain in the you-know-what. And if you're a gamer, forget about it. The ping is so high that you might as well be playing with a dial-up connection. It's a real shame that they're such scammers. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Disappointing Data Handling and Lack of Transparency from Sri Lanka Telecom
I gotta say, I'm pretty unhappy with the way Sri Lanka Telecom handles their data. It's like they just make it disappear into thin air without any explanation. I mean, come on, give us some transparency here! The customer service is alright, I guess. They do call back, which is nice. But the whole system in the back end just seems like a hot mess. It's like they don't have their act together at all. Overall, not impressed.
AGREE. After watching about 4 netflix episodes I find my usage for 1 day is 6.7GB and netflix usage is 0.3GB.
At the beginning I could watch netflix throughout the day and my anytime bundle wouldn't exceed 3 GB per day.
When netflix is used more data is consumed from the anytime bundle than before so that the bundle expires before the end of the month.
I feel they are scamming us. Need to reconsider if it is worth continuing with slt.
Review of Sri Lanka Telecom's Internet Services: Helpful but Communication Needs Improvement
they don't seem to have a permanent solution for the issues we face. It's really frustrating to have to deal with these problems on a regular basis.
However, we must say that Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) has been quite helpful in resolving some of our internet issues. We had some connectivity problems and they were able to fix it within a reasonable time frame. The customer service team was also quite friendly and patient with us, despite our numerous complaints.
One thing we do wish is that they would improve their communication with customers. Sometimes it's difficult to get updates on the progress of our complaints and we have to keep calling them to find out what's going on. It would be great if they could provide more regular updates on the status of our complaints.
Overall, we would recommend Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) for their internet services. While there are some issues that need to be addressed, they have been quite helpful in resolving our problems and their customer service team is friendly and patient.
SLT Internet Review: From Best to Worst - Disappointing Speeds and Terrible Customer Service
I used to think that Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) was the best internet service provider out there. No other company could match their speed and reliability. However, things have changed and now I'm not so sure. In fact, I think they might be one of the worst providers around.
It seems like every other company is improving their service, but SLT is going in the opposite direction. Their internet speeds are slower than ever and their customer service is terrible. I've had to call them multiple times to get any kind of help, and even then, they weren't able to fix the problem.
I'm starting to think that Dialog might be a better option. They seem to be more reliable and their customer service is much better. If SLT doesn't step up their game soon, they're going to be left in the dust.
Overall, I'm really disappointed with SLT. They used to be the best, but now they're just not cutting it. I hope they can turn things around, but until then, I'll be looking for a new provider.
Frustrating Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom's Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) that left me feeling quite frustrated. I needed to transfer my location, and despite waiting for over three weeks, I had not received any updates on the progress of my request. I tried calling the regional office in Maradana Colombo 10 several times, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. Even when I called the customer service hotline at 1212 more than eight times during this period, I was simply passed from one person to another without any real assistance.
In my opinion, Sri Lanka Telecom has one of the least customer service-oriented organizations in Sri Lanka. I was disappointed with the lack of communication and support I received during this process. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it would have been helpful to receive some updates or at least a response to my inquiries.
Overall, I hope that Sri Lanka Telecom can improve their customer service in the future. It would be great to see more transparency and communication with their customers, especially during important processes like location transfers.
Disappointing Experience with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT.LK): Poor Customer Service and Slow Response Time
Yo, so I gotta say, I ain't too impressed with Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk). I was tryna get a peo tv connection and it's been like two whole weeks and nobody's even bothered to contact me. Like, what's up with that? I had to reach out to them myself and even then, they're still dragging their feet on giving me my cash back. It's like they don't even care about their customers or something. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. It's just a bunch of $#*! if you ask me.
Poor Customer Service at SLT Kandy Branch - Disappointing Experience
I recently visited the SLT branch in Kandy and was disappointed with the service I received. When I arrived, there were three ladies chatting amongst themselves and they didn't seem to notice me. When I finally approached one of them to ask about a product, she had no idea what I was talking about. I had to log onto Google and show them the Sri Lanka Telecom website to get any help. Even then, they just told me to call the hotline. I was very disappointed with the lack of care and attention from the staff. The customer service was bad and I wouldn't recommend this branch to anyone.
SLT.lk's Customer Service is Terrible: A 2019 Review
Yo, so I gotta say, I was checkin' out SLT.lk and I saw this review from like way back in 2011 talkin' about how great their tech support was. But lemme tell ya, it's 2019 now and that couldn't be further from the truth. Their customer service is straight up terrible. Like, if you wanna waste your whole day on hold and gettin' bounced around from one clueless agent to another, then go ahead and sign up with SLT.lk. But if you got better things to do, then you should definitely look for a different service provider. I mean, seriously, it's like they don't even care about their customers anymore.
Disappointing Internet Service from Sri Lanka Telecom: Frequent Outages and Poor Customer Support
I've been using Sri Lanka Telecom for the past 6 months and I gotta say, I'm not impressed. Every month, I've been having trouble with my internet connection. It keeps fluctuating and it's really frustrating. I've complained about it every month, but nothing seems to change.
To make matters worse, there have been 3 to 4 fiber cuts every month. And when I call to report the issue, nobody picks up the phone. And even when they do, they don't allocate a technician to fix the issue on the same day. It's really disappointing.
I don't understand how they can claim to be one of the best internet service providers in Sri Lanka when their service is so pathetic. I'm really disappointed with their service and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Unsatisfactory Service and Expensive Packages: My Review of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT.LK)
I have been using Sri Lanka Telecom (slt.lk) for some time now, and I must say that I am not very satisfied with their service. There have been several instances where I have faced connectivity issues, and the internet speed is not up to the mark.
I tried to contact their customer service by calling 1212, but unfortunately, no one answered my call. This is quite frustrating, and I feel that they should have a better system in place to handle customer queries.
The packages offered by Sri Lanka Telecom are not very impressive either. They are quite expensive, and the data limits are not sufficient for my needs. I feel that they should revise their packages and offer more value for money to their customers.
Overall, I am not very happy with the service provided by Sri Lanka Telecom. I feel that they need to improve their infrastructure and customer service to provide a better experience to their customers. I hope that the Sri Lankan Government takes notice of this and takes steps to improve the situation.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Sri Lanka Telecom to anyone looking for a reliable internet service provider. There are better options available in the market, and I would suggest exploring those before making a decision.
