Starbucks Starbucks stole my money

I filed a BBB complaint last month because Starbucks canceled my Starbucks Reward cards. I couldn't remember the balances, so I guessed about $9. Starbucks played nothing but games and tried everything they could to avoid responding to the complaint. I received a couple of phone call messages asking me to contact them directly and discuss the matter. The number provided was the customer service number and when I spoke with one representative, Linda hung up the phone on me. I did not use my card since 2012 which is my prerogative. Because of this and other reasons, Starbucks decided to close my Starbucks account. I reopened one about a few weeks ago and added a new card that I have not used yet. When I called customer service and spoke to Joseph, he stated that the $8.10 card was deactivated because it was reported stolen. Joseph also seemed to have a problem with the small balance. I am not about to give a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION any of my money no matter how much it is. Mind you, the card was always in my Apple wallet on my phone. So the only way to steal this Starbucks wallet card is to steal my phone. Which never happened. On my recent Starbucks complaint, customer service tried to say that my new card needs to be moved to my wallet and gave me directions on how to do it. In other words, they are implying that the new card with the 0 balance is what I am complaining about. Starbucks is still playing the same games they did on my first complaint. I strongly believe Starbucks steals Starbucks balances to make up for the lost money from the "so-called" Pandemic when their franchises were closed and many had to go out of business causing Starbucks to lose all kinds of money. I am quite sure I am not the only victim of Starbucks theft. I have attached some documents below...

Starbucks Staff getting defensive towards customer’s request

Starbucks location at Linwood plaza mall in Fort Lee, NJ is a busy one serving diverse ethnic populations. It’s very close to New York City and there is always busy traffics and hectic people flows in and out.

I normally understand the waits and lines even with the mobile preorders. One time my drink was even taken by someone else so I let it go and just asked for another one politely.

Today however was very disappointing and it really overstretched my patience.

I mobile ordered grande ice shaken espresso around 6pm. It was not a busy time. When I picked up the drink it was 3/4 full. So I wanted to just ask for more ice or more milk and walk away. Then the staff whoever made the drink got very defensive when I asked for more ice and started saying I am sorry with annoyed tones and lectured me to chill. In fact all I asked for was more ice and I couldn’t even say what I really wanted to say because the staff was the one who got angry at me for asking the drink I paid for $4.74 was not made right. The attitude he had sends a message that $5 cup of coffee can be made without much attention because people don’t care.

Starbucks Lack of people

I was at the airport, went to order a coffee. There was only one person on site. A huge line evolved. The worker kept ringing people out but not making coffee. The workers stated after already standing there for 15 min. That it's going to be a while for the coffee. We all proceeded to tell the worker we want to cancel our order. He stated ok, I can't give a refund my manager isnt here.

So I leave on good faith that my money will be refunded but being you don't support military. I highly doubt it, I don't like spending my money with starbucks anyways. This incedent just reminded me why.

Desired outcome: Have more than one person working in the airports.

Starbucks Obviously poor service due to what I look like and who I am.

Your hip-cool employees at the 61st street and Yale Ave, Tulsa Oklahoma store could not have put more effort into letting me know I wasn’t welcomed than they did. I”m an older sis gendered white male who wears a tie and a badge. I am sure they look at me and think “what a racist patriarchy stale & pale old nazi!”. I asked for a simple Cafe Americano with cream & sugar and a cream danish. The Cream danish took 5 minutes. The cup of coffee took 20 minutes, and they didn’t even get it right: cafe americano with cream and sugar. The looks I kept getting as I sat there watching them, let me know they hate me. Others were served quicker with the fancy steamed unicorn milk, and puréed coco beans poofy coffee art. I won’t be going back.

Desired outcome: Make them give everyone the same treatment.

Starbucks My personal account and prepaid card of $61.87 have disappeared from Starbucks website.

Tried to make a purchase today using my Starbucks prepaid card. Barista said my account would not show up and suggested I get on the Starbucks website to see what happened. I had to reset my password but once I got an account opened up it only showed todays cash purchase. except for my name, birthday etc, all other history (a few years worth) were all gone.

Desired outcome: Refund or restore my $61.87 balance

Starbucks Manager Dion would not honor product: bad cup of coffee served at closing time

Starbucks Store: 3046 Gate House Plaza, Falls Church, VA 22042

Manager: said his name was "Dion"

Incident on 22 April 2023 around 7:50 pm EDT:

I ordered a pour-over, took it outside and determined it was a bad cup of coffee (that happens with pour-overs now and then, no big deal). So within minutes I walked back to the entrance but a person who said he was the manager with the name of Dion stood in the doorway and told me the store was closed. I held the cup of bitter, nastuy cup of coffee up for him to see and told him politely that I had just gotten a bad cup of coffee here. All he said was that they were closed. I asked if I could get it replaced or perhaps a card entitling me to a free cup later, but he only kept shoving the door in my face and told me they were closed. He offerred nothing to compensate for the bad cup of coffee. I through the coffee out even though I paid Starbucks -- for something that was pretty nasty and could not be drunk.

It looks like Starbucks cultural qppoach to customer service has changed for the worse. This Dion basically was telling me to go to hell. He obviously has no concern for customers, has little or no work. ethic and doesn't give two nickels about the Starbucks reputation. I intend to write as many negative reviews possible regarding this incident. It should not have happened.

I entered this store at approximately 1:40 on Sunday 3/27/2023 I opened the door and the door sweep at the front entrance had a sharp metal rod sticking out and sliced my toe including my nail. (see above) It felt like someone took a knife and sliced my toe. My toe is hurting with shocking sensations and throbbing. I went in and spoke to Lis and I asked if she would take a report. She said that she can’t but she will call. Call I said call who? She said someone to come fix the door and handed me a band aid. I have not gone to the hospital yet because I’m not sure if I will need stitches. Still just trying to get it to stop bleeding at home. I have attached pictures for review. Patty Brown. Starbucks Poor or no service

Walked into this Starbucks today and grabbed a pound of blonde roast whole beans. I walked up to the counter and waited for a barista. I made eye contact with both of them. One was helping the drive through I believe. I can’t tell you what the other one was doing. Other than they were standing ther laughing and talking. After five minutes, I decided I wasn’t going to be helped so I put back the coffee and didn’t place any order. I will not return there again. It felt like I was ignored and invisible. Very frustrating!

Starbucks incorrect order and overcharged

Stopped at Starbucks @ 6003 NE MLK Drive

Portland, OR 97211 at 4:44pm on 3/25/23 (according to receipt). Ordered a Venti Caramel Macchiato and a Venti iced Vanilla Latte with 1 extra shot of espresso. discovered after having left that neither drink had any flavoring added. Both tasted like burnt coffee with milk - no caramel and no vanilla. And this after being charged for an extra shot of vanilla that I did not ask for. My drink total was 12.80 which I thought was a bit much but didn't have time to question until later. I don't buy coffee drinks very often, and this is the first time I've ever had an issue.

Desired outcome: A refund seems in order except that I did not bring the drinks back because I was already on the road heading out of town when I realized the drinks were wrong.

Starbucks Disability discrimination

To whom it may concern,

I am contacting you on behalf of my disabled son, and deeply upset that this is the third time I have reached out to you, with not even an acknowledgment of the issue. I see that your response to complaints listed above is sadly unsatisfactory, so I intend to publish this on social media this time.

My son has a condition of hydrocephalus since birth. He is in subsidized living in Lynn Valley, Vancouver BC. His local Starbucks is across the road. He is not very mobile, on disability, etc, and due to some misunderstanding of his behavior, was unilaterally banned from All Starbucks location on the North Shore. This has impacted him hugely , mentally and emotionally. There were a few incidents, 3 years ago, which is when I first reached out to you, and now I’m very angry. There is blatant discrimination here, and I am not going to let this go. Apparently he is still banned. There is an explanation for every incident that occurred and the fault is with the staff, not the customer. I would be happy to provide more details, but don’t particularly want to waste my time, until I hear back from you . Regards, Susie Newman

Starbucks Service level and quality

Today… went through the drive the.. ordered my usual… venti Carmel frapp x 2 and warmed banana loaf. As I approached the window, the gal at the window was disheveled at best, not friendly and stuck out the scanner for payment. I gladly paid and waited. No other communication … I watched her make the drinks… she not only struggled to get the blender to pour, but she spilled on her hand… now the drinks are short … and she squeezes the cup to make it what… look like there’s more in it? She not correct the drinks… hands me short drinks and no banana loaf. I mention to her.. “you are not going to fix these?”… she walks away… she did not come back and literally was avoiding the window… so I left the drive thru and parked out front. I look at the drinks that are sticky and very short poured… I go back into the store. She completely goes the other way… a guy who works there… super nice and willing to remake my drinks.

I have to tell you… this young lady needs to go back to customer service class and then back to training. She was absolutely the worst customer service person I have encountered in a very long time. Shame on her! She is representing Starbucks.

Desired outcome: I would like a credit for my order. I would like an apology from her manager, assuring me she will be counseled and retrained at a minimum.
