Lying scammers, they have you fill out credit application online, prequalify you, give you a price range then call you have you come in then tell you the pre-qualification you filled out doesn't count. The lie on the radio. Kia of Augusta is just full of it. Stay away!
I had the best help Mr Jeffrey W
I had the best help Mr Jeffrey W. and bought my brand new 2021 Kia, which was exceptional. He answered above and beyond and helped so much to get my Kia that I thought I could not get. This turned out to be my first new car, and he was exceptional. I will recommend all of my friends and family to go and look for Mr Jeffrey W., the best salesman! Thank you, I got my ride because of all his help.
Kia of Augusta had My car scheduled for a service
Kia of Augusta had My car scheduled for a service. For 12-28-22 and now they have called to reschedule. And the nearest appointment they can give me is 1-19-23. My cars check engine light is on and this is the second time,so and it's the same code which they said nothing was wrong and its back on again. And I feel like Kia of Augusta is blowing me off. I would not recommend patronizing this location because the only way I have been able to get these people to do right is to complain. Take your business somewhere else . Because you will regret doing business with Kia of Augusta. Shane

I took my 2016 Kia Optima to the Kia of Augusta service center for a warranty repair back in November to replace a leaky rear main seal. According to their work order, they allegedly replaced the seal to "meet Kia specs." Unfortunately, the seal started leaking again a few months later, and my local mechanic discovered that the rear main seal was either shoddily installed, or never replaced in the first place.
Kia of Augusta's negligence resulted in my mechanic having to complete $3100 worth of repairs, replacing not only the rear main seal, but components for the axle, bearings, and other parts soaked in oil; all because Kia of Augusta was negligent/incompetent in the first place. So, either Kia of Augusta mechanics are incompetent, negligent, or flat out deceitful. Either way, they do not deserve the community's business, and should frankly be shut down.
Do not use Kia of Augusta's service center, just take your vehicle to any local, trusted ASE-certified mechanic, since these incompetent fools cannot be trusted to take care of your vehicle.
There really needs to be a 0 stars button!
There really needs to be a 0 stars button! I will not ever recommend Stokes Hodges Kia of Augusta to anyone! First of all, we have only had our Kia for maybe 3 years and the motor locked up sometime in March. The Kia sat in our yard until about the first week in April as this was the soonest Stokes Hodges Kia could get our car in to look at (which is understandable with everything going on). Then they replace our motor which we are grateful for, but they call us about middle May to come pick it up and when we get there to get it they tell us it's still not ready because the gear shift will not come out of park which we knew and they knew that when we brought it there. This obviously tells me they must not have test driven it or they would not have called us to come pick it up! So we wait even longer to get the Kia back that we have been paying payments on for almost 3 months now that we cannot drive and was not even offered a rental car or anything. So we get the Kia back end of May and the engine light comes on the next day and the airbag light is stuck on. We take it back to Stokes Hodges Kia which the engine light went back off but so what something still is not right! Oh and when we checked the oil after the "new" motor was put in it was low. Which was what kept happening to their old one. My husband went to pick the Kia up for the last time from the service center and Vaghn H basically told him there is nothing they can do and all the stuff is just a coincidence and to not bring the car back! Then my husband makes a review and the General Manager tells my husband that he does not get to make a public review like that and we just wanted free stuff. How are you going to tell him that? He has been a Kia customer for 3 years and you guys should have fixed our car for free because IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER MESSED UP IN THE 1ST PLACE! Not to mention we been paying the car payment for 3 months and cannot even drive it! NO WONDER YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE HOW THEY ARE WITH MANAGEMENT LIKE THAT!
I am appalled and disappointed at the service I received at Stokes Hodges Kia
I am appalled and disappointed at the service I received at Stokes Hodges Kia. I was looking for a 2022 Kia Telluride AWD with the prestige package, and I contacted the internet sales manager Anita at Stokes Hodges Kia. She told me what they had available on the lot at the time, which was a 2022 Kia Telluride FWD. After Ms. Anita had answered numerous questions about the vehicle, I decided to go to the dealership to see the difference between driving an FWD and an AWD. I live over three hours away, and no one ever told me there was a criterion to test drive the Kia Telluride. I went to the dealership Thursday, November 18. The car sales representative [Sales Representative's Name] Bell assisted me, and I told him I would like to test drive the vehicle. I inquired about the prestige package, and he told me the Telluride only had the tow package and rear entertainment. I told him I wanted the prestige, but I could be open to checking out this vehicle. I wanted to know if the drive felt different in the FWD. Mr. Bell told me he had to talk to his manager because I could not test drive the vehicle if I was not interested in the SUV. I thought that notion was ridiculous; I told Mr. Bell if I liked the car's feel, there could be a possibility of purchase. He proceeded to get his manager [Manager's Name] Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore said consumers were complaining of the vehicle's mileage, so if I was not interested in the car, I could not test drive it because it would depreciate the cost of the vehicle. I have never heard anything like this before. I am confounded; people shop for cars, test drive them, sometimes purchase them, and sometimes do not hence the meaning of test drive. I walked away from the dealership with a bitter taste in my mouth. If I drove over three hours to test drive the Telluride, it should have been evident I was interested in that vehicle. I would warn anyone looking to do business with this dealership to find somewhere else. Yes, there is a chip shortage, and obtaining a Telluride is becoming difficult because of the pandemic, but there is still a thing such as customer service.

I purchased my car from Stokes Hodges Kia a little over a year ago
I purchased my car from Stokes Hodges Kia a little over a year ago. Since then, I am unable to get my car serviced as was included in my purchase because no one answers or returns calls. I finally brought my car in and they made an appointment. On the appointment day they apologized saying that they were trying to "turn things around" in the service department because of the horrible service that had been normal in the last few years. I was working with the Service manager [Manager's Name] and assistant manager [Assistant Manager's Name]. I was promised that they would complete repair on my door window frame as well as the door switch which both needed to be replaced. They had my car for a week while they fixed a recall.. they gave me a rental which was filthy and had someone's shoes and food bags in it. It was also on empty. I had to put gas in the car because it was on [low fuel]. [Manager's Name] assured me that I would get top-notch service and that they would take care of me. When I came to get the car, the 2 repairs for the door were not done, the car had not been vacuumed, I don't know if the oil was changed (this was part of the service I needed done), and they kept my work order and I was not repaid for the gas even though they took the receipt. Now they will not return my calls. I was getting email responses from [Assistant Manager's Name] but that has even stopped. I need this issue resolved ASAP.
I Purchased A Car On 7/10 & Went To Return It On 07/16 and was told "it could not be done I had to contact the financial company". I called Kia the morning of 07/16 starting at 9am to speak with a General Manager Or someone in charge about my issue i was forwarded to 3 voicemails and instructed to leave a message and wait for a returned call I did so and waited until 5pm that evening to just go to Kia to speak with someone directly, at the time A financial manger spoke with me and stated "that i could return the car but the bank was in process of sending Kia a check for the car and that i should have came 2 days earlier and that the issue was between me and the bank", I then contacted *** and asked about cancellation of the account they stated that Kia had to send over cancellation paperwork to start the process and that once done we could proceed from there. On 07/17 i then went back to Kia of Augusta and explained what was told to me to the general manager and they told me they are not taking the car back and if i was to leave it on their property it would end up being a repressed vehicle. I then explained that they have NO SIGNS in their establishment that says I can not return the vehicle as well as I signed NO PAPERWORK in my contract that says I can not return the vehicle. In the mist of that when they sold the vehicle to me they explained any work needed on the car including the rear view mirror that is broken would be fixed once the part they ordered comes in and they would have it put on free of charge they have yet to fix the mirror or set me an appointment to do so. All i wanted to do was return the vehicle which hasn't been driven but back and forth to Kia of Augusta regarding the manner and feel that the situation was not handled properly.
I purchased a vehicle(2021 Kia Sorento LX) on January 15, 2022
I purchased a vehicle(2021 Kia Sorento LX) on January 15, 2022. The exact amount of money on the loan was $46,346.67, on a term of 75 months. Both myself and my co-signer stated that we'd purchase the car under the agreement of 84 months, and no warranties which was agreed upon by the salesperson, John Smith who is no longer there due to the same type of misconduct as my situation. Upon looking at my paperwork months later, there is every warranty possible on my vehicle contract that I was both unaware of and did not want in the first place. The warranties equal a total of $5,743. I have attempted multiple times to reach out to the business, and when I went in person, I was told they would cut a check and it would reach me(originally) within 30-45 days. That was on October 20th. I went back on December 10th and was told it would be 60 days until the check reached me. It is now day 66 and I have not received any word or check from the company. I was then told by a Sales Manager from a dealership I work with now that it's actually illegal to send a check due for a lienholder directly to the customer. Regardless, it has come neither to me, or off of my direct balance of the vehicle. My credit was ran multiple times when I only authorized it once to see what I may or may not have qualified for. The number on my Kia Finance account is [protected].
My son's car stopped working after he heard a loud pop from under the hood of his car in January 2022
My son's car stopped working after he heard a loud pop from under the hood of his car in January 2022. I had the vehicle towed to Kia of Augusta in January 22. The service center determined that the radiator, catalytic converter, battery, and motor needed to be repaired. They had the car until we picked the car up on *//22. Payment in the amount of $7937.32 was given on *//22. The day the car was picked up, it ran hot and was returned to Kia of Augusta. After about 2 weeks my son picked it up for the second time on ***. On *** the car ran hot, motor began to skip, the check engine light came on and. I had my son to park the car in our yard. On *** I went to Kia of Augusta to inquire about why the car had not been picked up. I met and spoke with a woman who was the Head Service Manager. When I asked her why no one had come to get the car yet, she called the service manager, Demon B. He stated that he was waiting to hear back from my son. After our meeting, the service center had the car towed back to Kia of Augusta for more repairs. My Mother had been trying to contact Demon B, Service Manager for the past 17 days. She was able to reach on *** and he stated that they would take another look at the car on ***. I spoke with the service department and they now state that a new part is needed and the cost of the part is $400. It is now March *, 2022, and Kia of Augusta has not properly repaired the car.

Kia of Augusta had my car from [specific date] for repair
Kia of Augusta had my car from [specific date] for repair. That timeframe was a nightmare, but when the car was taken, I told my service advisor (Kelvin or Calvin) that the car was due to be serviced as well and I requested an oil change along with the repairs. He acknowledged the request. I picked the car up once I was notified it was ready and paid for the repairs, including the oil change. Noticing that the service warning was still on, I called my service advisor, and I was advised to bring the car back in the next day, with the reassurance that the tech probably just forgot to reset the service warning and turn it off. I checked the oil myself before taking it back and it was low and looked like decaf coffee. The oil change had not been done, but I was charged. I was very disappointed and frustrated, especially since my car had already been gone for so long and in over 30 days no one did the oil change. When I got back to the dealership on 9/15, Kelvin checked the oil and also agreed that oil had not been changed and apologized. I expected a refund at this time but was told it would be about 3-4 days. Annoyed with the situation, I verified my address with Kelvin to have the check mailed and left. My overall customer service experience was not a good one, so I did not want to return to that shop. Getting an update on my car was difficult, as the service manager does not return calls and if your advisor is not there, you're out of luck. Anyway, I called on [specific date] didn't reach anyone, called back on [specific date] and was told that it had been handled and could take up to 2 weeks, but shouldn't take that long. As of now, I still have no refund. I called back on [specific date] and left a message, but no call back. I received a message from someone regarding my Google review asking me to call them and called then, but still got nowhere, as no one seemed to know where to direct me. I just want a refund for the oil change that was not done.
In June 2022, I had my engine replaced under warranty on my 2014 Kia Optima
In June 2022, I had my engine replaced under warranty on my 2014 Kia Optima. A month and a half later, I finally received my vehicle back. Unfortunately, during that time, there was a lack of communication from the service writer. Whenever I called, I was instructed to leave a message, but I never received a callback. When I did manage to get in touch with her, she would promise to call me back in 5 minutes, but that never happened either.
Upon receiving my car, I noticed a major oil leak just 4,000 miles later. As an experienced auto technician of 20 years, I checked the basics and brought it back to the dealership. Two weeks later, they claimed it was the oil pressure unit leaking, despite my assurance that I had already checked it and found it to be dry. I insisted that the leak was coming from the front of the engine, but they continued to argue that it was the oil switch. Frustrated, I took my car back and immediately noticed that the major oil leak was still present. I returned it for a second time, informing them that I needed a rental as this was my only vehicle.
During my second visit, I only spoke with the service manager, Vaughn Hodges. He assured me that he would take care of me and provide a rental. However, it took two weeks for him to fulfill his promise. Two more weeks passed before I finally heard from them again, and they informed me that the issue was once again the front cover and pressure switch. I took my car back, but to my disappointment, the major oil leak was still there. I called Mr. Hodges to inform him of the ongoing issue and expressed that I couldn't bring my car in until a rental was ready for me.
Just two days ago, on the th of January, Mr. Hodges informed me that he had a rental available and asked me to bring my car in. I complied and brought my car in with the rental. However, today I received a text from Mr. Hodges stating that I needed to return the rental as soon as possible because my insurance doesn't cover rentals. I reminded him that he had already provided me with a rental during the previous repair, to which he responded that he did it as a gesture of kindness and hadn't checked my insurance at that time. I explained that I had no other vehicle and had been waiting for a rental to bring my car in. He simply stated that it wasn't his fault that I only had liability insurance. I then asked if he could arrange a rental through a different company, but he refused, stating that he wouldn't pay $35 a day for a rental. I believe that they should take responsibility for providing me with a rental, considering this is the third time I've been here for the same oil leak, and the amount of time they have taken to resolve the issue.
to federal regulations
to federal regulations. I emphasized that I wanted to proceed with a Consumer Credit Transaction as outlined in Title 15 USC 1605, which clearly states that certain charges should not be included in the finance charge. Despite providing him with printouts of the relevant laws and definitions, he continued to insist on a "conventional" contract with a down payment.
I was disappointed with Gerald T's lack of understanding and adherence to the law. As a consumer, I have the right to be protected and informed about my financial transactions. It is concerning that he disregarded the federal regulations and attempted to push his own agenda.
Furthermore, his comment about the vehicle being a "depreciating asset" was unnecessary and unprofessional. It is not his place to determine the value or worth of the vehicle in relation to my financial decisions. His focus should have been on providing me with the necessary disclosures and ensuring a fair and transparent transaction.
Overall, my experience with Gerald T and Kia of Augusta was far from the "World Class Experience" he promised. I expected better knowledge and compliance with federal laws, as well as a more respectful and customer-oriented approach. Unfortunately, I left the meeting feeling frustrated and uncertain about proceeding with the purchase.

My 2015 Kia Optima went into limp home mode (the check engine light started flashing, my car stopped accelerating & a noise was coming from under the hood) I stopped, turned my car off & had it towed home. After connecting my car to a scanner, I got 3 codes, P0011, P0014, and P1326. With no open recalls on my car, I scheduled a service appointment at Kia of Augusta which was on [date] @ 3:30pm. I paid to have my car towed to Kia of Augusta on the morning of the [date]. My 1st attempt to get an update on my car was on [date]. I left my service advisor (Chantel) a voicemail, & was told by the receptionist (LISA) that as soon as she saw Chantel she would tell her to call me. I didn't receive a callback. On [date], I called & the same occurred. I left a voicemail for Chantel, Lisa said she would tell Chantel to call me & I didn't receive a call. So, I paid for a ride to Kia of Augusta & was told by Chantel, the motor had been tested & was deemed a good motor, so the service techs needed more time to look at my car & she would call me if not by 5pm that same day, then the morning of [date] for sure. [Date], I called around 2pm since I still had not received a call, & was told by Lisa the system was down but she would tell Chantel to call me. That same day I got a call from a different advisor telling me my motor was no good, this would not be a cost for me & they already ordered a new motor. It takes a week to get to them and then I would have my car back two days afterwards. Chantel called me 30 minutes after that to tell me the same thing. While speaking with Chantel I requested a vehicle while they are repairing my car & she said they didn't have any available, but she would contact me as soon as there was one available or I could rent one & I would be reimbursed after my car is repaired. It is frustrating, I have called multiple times to get an update & request a vehicle & never get an answer or callback. All I have been requesting is a vehicle & an update.
Stokes Hodges Kia does not keep promises made to customers
Stokes Hodges Kia does not keep promises made to customers. I purchased two brand new Kia's from Stokes Hodges Kia in 2019. Stokes Hodges Kia promised a referral check if I would send them new customers. My friend John Doe purchased a new Kia on October 10. He filled out the paperwork for me to receive the referral with a salesman named Barry. Barry assured John Doe that I would receive the referral check within a week. Fast forward almost two months later and I have not received this check. Snake oil salesmen at this car dealership and I will never spend another dime of my money with such dishonest people. Shame on you Stokes Hodges Kia.

or their agreement. We were frustrated and disappointed with the lack of communication and organization at Stokes Hodges Kia. We felt misled and taken advantage of during the entire process. It was clear that they were more concerned with making a sale than ensuring customer satisfaction. We will not be recommending this dealership to anyone in the future.

I heard on the radio Kia of Augusta was doing credit amnesty and up to $6000 over Kelly blue book for trades. It was all a lie I called to inquire about the radio commercial and spoke to chantel I asked her about what I could get approved for, chantel took my info she called me back and asked where I needed my payments to be, I told her around $300 she said that was not a problem and set me up an appointment, when I arrived for the appointment I was met by a gentleman that told me she only set up appointments and that I would be dealing with him he then got all the info again that I had give chantel over the phone. After spending all day there after chantel told me I would only be there an hour or so I needed to get my child off the school bus they finally let me out of there with only $500 for my trade and a test drive tag on the car I thought I was buying nothing was ever discussed about warranty, payments or anything I called the next morning perplexed at what happened I spoke to the receptionist she transferred me to another ext to speak to someone else I left a voicemail which never was returned and then I called back and was sent to the finance manager I explained to him what my concerns were( test drive tag, warranty, way way to high pmt, never signing a finance agreement, etc) he said because I had to leave none of the paperwork was signed and I would have to come back that is why I had a tag that said test drive so about a week later he finally called me back and asked me to come back in on 12/26 I went back in pretty much had to sign the paperwork because my trade wasn't there anymore I ended up with payments close to $600 a month still we never went over any of that not the payment not the warranty not anything I was pushed out the door with a sealed envelope when I was able to ask a question I was told the answer was in the envelope and by the way I still didn't see the finance manager from what I can tell from the very poor copies in the envelope that my payment are like $560 I don't know if I have an extended warranty I don't know where to make my payments I don't know when they are due This was a nightmare I was brought into this place by deception and was sold a car that is way over priced my trade was way under priced and have payments twice as much as I was promised by chantel I will never recommend this place to anyone and would love to get my trade back and be done with these people
On April 15th my wife and I drove to Kia Of Augusta to test drive the new KIA carnival 2022. We were greeted by Alonzo H. We let him know the vehicle ,they had two one being the one we have and another about $12,000 lower. We loved the car and decided to go with the deal as a trade in. We were told we would be leaving with $0.00 down . They allowed us to switch our new car . After debating with the bank we were told we would have to put $4,000 down I explained I wouldn't have that until my taxes came, which were expected 2 weeks out at the time . They told us to come back the following morning at 8:45am to see if they could get a better deal still allowing us to leave with the new car . The next day comes and they are saying we told them we would give them $6,000, when in reality they mixed our deal up with someone who came out to purchase a different car . Now they are saying we have to pay that Bc that's what was approved . 3 days trying to work a deal for them not to hon
