Straight Talk Wireless Not honoring a 3 month plan

Approx. 3 months ago my husbands phone went missing. I called emediately to have the number go on the blacklist. No problem, right? In the meantime, we had purchased a 3 month plan a week prior to his phone going missing. I spoke with a rep from Straightalk who assured me that when we got a new phone that we could re-establish the number and we would not lose any of his minutes. I called back a few days later after purchasing a new phone to get the remaining minutes activated and was told that we could not get the number back or our minutes re-instated. That bill was a little over 200 bucks. If someone pays for something then that something becomes the property of the purchaser whatever that something is. Period. So when the purchaser is denied a per-paid service of 3 months after only a week of using the service that is called stealing the rest from the purchaser. Period. STEALING. Not to mention that phone number belonged to our tree care business and we probably lost a ton of business. So not only did Straight talk deny our prepaid service and number, they denied us the right to continue our tree care business to our customers and in turn lost a lot more that the 200 bucks. All I ask is for a refund of the phone and service plan. If not, there will be a lawsuit and they would have to pay a lot more than that. I do have my reciept BTW. Thank you for your time, Rebecca M. Straight Talk Wireless Prepaid wireless plan

I wanted to purchase a temporary hotspot on my cell phone. The Straight Talk representative told me I had to purchase a new sim card for my phone which I did. I then purchased a prepaid plan for my phone. After activating the phone I could not get a hotspot. When I called customer service I was told that Straight Talk does not do hotspots and that I could not get a refund for my plan which is useless to me.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

I wasn't being notified by text when my service was beginning or ending, then my service would be abruptly interrupted. When I called the representatives asking for credit due to their system errors, they would claim they're applying credit to my account and disconnect the call. I have documented time frames of every call made with time and date. There's also recorded calls between us.

Straight Talk Wireless Double billed, terrible customer service

I was charged twice during the same month of service one week apart.

I called customer service and was given several scripted versions of why the may be a double charge. All of which were just attempts to get me to hang up and quit trying to get this charge reversed.

Along with many other excuses they said to call my bank, maybe it's a problem on their end. BS! The charge is there on my statement. I've been double billed. I'm not a [censored], Citi bank hasn't accidentally charged me twice. They will not admit this for some reason. I'm going to have to submit a fraudulent claim to my credit card bank, due to this beyond terrible customer service. I'm changing my service to redpocket mobile. Cheaper, with better customer service. I would recommend anyone else who reads this with a similar problem to do the same.

Okay so after posting on this complaint board, I recieved a response from straighttalk. The link from the response sent me to an online chat. I first recieved the same response of my card company/bank may have made an error. But after explaining my situation they gave me a phone number to call with a pin number to enter. I ended up talking to a very nice customer service person named Mary that spoke excellent English. She was able to reverse the several duplicate charges. I'm glad I finally got it resolved. But I still can remember feeling irate when the first couple customer service reps were telling me it was my bank double charging me. So be wary about entering in your credit card number in auto refill with straight talk and check your statements if you are. If this complaints board wasn't here i'm not sure if this would have ever been resolved without putting in a fraudulent charge dispute with my credit card bank. Thanks complaintsboard.com

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

I purchased a phone a month ago. Got the unlimited plan. From the start i realized my phone battery was no good. So i contcted support to see bout getting a replacement . Spoke to Lindor, he told me the batterys were out of stock and to go to walmart and they would replace it and also offered me a free month of service for the inconvenience. He said it would be documented on my account. Walmart did not help becausr it was over the 15 day return policy. So i ended up buying another phone and using the battery out of it. Well... Today my service was suppose to renew. It did not. My service is off and i called straight talk only to find out that Lindor lied to me. There was not even any noted on my account what so ever. I spoke to a manager named james and he refused to help me because he didnt see any documentation. He even admited it was the companys fault. He would not let me speak to anyone else. So now i am out of phone service, out $50 for having to get the new battery for a phone i cannot even use. I am furious! And i need this to be resolved please.

Straight Talk Wireless My phone service

I refilled my data plan on 9/ 20/ 2018 at 4:30 pm. I purchased with immediate restart and half hour nothing. I called their customer service 3 times with no prevail. Each time I called, I had to take 3 surveys that had nothing to do with my phone service .. then call stopped. One time I got a female on line and she kept saying hello then that call ended. now they state on immediate restarting your plan, you lose a day for that coming month. if that is the case, how can they take away days if their service is not working? and for their surveys, why cant they fess up they are having problems? Straight Talk Wireless Service plans

I've had straight talk since their beginning. Advertised Unlimited reduce data usually took a week. So they kept adding more G to their service cards for more money. Till finally few months back they actually went to Unlimited. I couldn't have been happier with them cuz that's all I wanted to buy to begin with. Now this month they reduced it again without any warning. And they don't do it to everybody. I paid for their $70 card and my data has been reduced after 1 week. They might as well just shut off the data cuz can't use it it's too slow. Can't even go to their website because the data is too slow.

Straight Talk Wireless Phone cards and customer service

Had bought a unlimited card and took three days to get help to activate and I never got what I paid for very unhappy customer I don't have time to be fixing issues with straight talk everytime I purchase mins that didn't get customer service they could use a little attitude adjustment also don't value customers like they say that's for sure I've about had it with this company needs lots of improvement

Straight Talk Wireless Data throttling on $55 unlimited data plan

I have had Straight Talk wireless for several years. They recently started selling unlimited data plans for $55 a month. I have been paying $55 for an unlimited plan and they are throttling data again just like they did before when customers were awarded 40 million dollars in 2015 for throttling data. They are now apparently claiming that 60 gigabytes is unlimited data. I have subscribed to a number of streaming services like Google play music and headspace paying them $15 a month for their services which I cannot use because Straight Talk throttles my data even though I'm on an unlimited plan. When I called to complain they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I'm sick of paying for a service I do not receive. Straight Talk is clearly in violation of the terms of the settlement agreement that they reached in 2015 about throttling data. I missed out on the settlement but I heard about it and they're right back to doing the same thing.

Straight Talk Wireless Prepaid wireless phone

Since beginning of 2018, and presently still, I have purchased 30 day plan unlimited data card, and every month I get over two weeks of no data and no internet signal, frustratingly and stressfully 90% of my attempts daily. I went thru 4 or 5 phones in attempt to resolve as their technicians always suggest to be faulty. [censored]! My current phone is only a couple months and fresh. After 1 month, the same data throttling again began and is currently costing me employment and lost sales inqiries due to too slow or no means of communication. Tracephone responds when I file FCC complaints, and they get resolve which lasts only temporarily. They ignored last filing! I see it as Theft of money for services not rendered as agreed upon and purchased. Someone should go to jail! I have screenshots of 3 minute intervals lasting over 20 minutes before aborting attempts to load websites.

Straight Talk Wireless Sim card

I bought a sim kit from Wal-Mart that comes with the prepaid minutes. The sim card would not work with my phone so I called and ordered another one from straight talk and they sent the sim card to the wrong address. So I called again and asked them to send one to the correct address. I was supposed to have gotten it in the mail this past Tuesday. It is now Friday and I still haven't gotten it

Straight Talk Wireless zte mobile hotspot

3 days ago I purchased Mobile Hotspot with with Straight Talk. They are saying somehow when I've had my mobile hotspot turned off for the last 2 days that I have used $100 worth or 10 megabytes of data out of the 15 megabytes that I purchased they are saying that I only have five megabytes left in my Reserve when just last night I had 10 and it's supposed supervisor added all 10 megabytes for me so that would put me having 10 megabytes remaining of data and not just five. How do I go about getting the megabytes back that I have not used because I powered off my mobile hotspot device?

Straight Talk Wireless Data

In their $35 plan it states that 2Gs of data then throttle down to 2g service. Not an issue. What is an issue it my husband had the same plan last month and he was still able to access emails after the 2G data was used. It was slower but that wasn't an issue. I called Straight Talk and the flat out told me that I was cut off of data entirely. Which goes against what the plan says and what my husband was allowed to do. They told me that I would have to buy a new service plan to get back my data. Then when I hung up because I was frustrated they called. I told them not to call again and what happens? They called again after I hung up. Told them if they called again I would sue them gor harassment.

Straight Talk Wireless Releasing phone number to another carrier

My sons straight talk phone died. Wont power on.
Because he was done with data this month i told him he could use my old sprint phone and i would add him to my plan.
Sprint has been waiting for you to release his number.
He called straight talk and they will not release his number until he re activates hus phone.
Why should we spend 35.00 to activate a broken phone that we wont be using?
If we do reactivate it are you going to refund me the 35.00.
Holding his phone number is ridiculous and just bad business practice.
I will be calling the FCC to file a complaint as well

Straight Talk Wireless Straight talk service/ customer support

Support tech constantly made me repeat the same steps for troubleshooting and I spent the whole on phone because they kept getting disconnected or my calls kept dropping. The problem is still not fixed months later and didn't receive my reimbursement for all the days I called and complained with no resolution and money spent . I want my money back or my service plan reimbursed for the full thirty days .

Straight Talk Wireless Cut my cell phone / paying customer / throttle down

News stand!
I'm traveling. I have had straight talk for over a year. I went into Walmart to buy a phone to switch over the phone was faulty so i took it back and they switched me back to my original phone lasted 2 days. I thought I might be out of the service area being I'm traveling. I piggyback on wifi and contacted the chat service. They said 24 to 48 hours! Well I waited and nothing! So once again I found someone to let me piggyback wifi contacted the chat line and they said the # is not mine. Yet the auto payment works! I've been out a phone for over 3 weeks! What's up straight talk! You have lied and left me stranded on my travels and please don't ask me to call! You have my # make it work the power is in your hands tell I can get to town!

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

I called to switch my SIM to a new phone to keep my phone number representative explain to me to take SIM and put it in new phone which deactivated my service called four times being transferred trying to get it figured out manager was rude disrespectful and basically told me I needed to pay $9 if I wanted it rushed to my house because I ended up needing a new SIM card sent because I followed the instructions of the representative so I get to go without a phone until it gets here which is very upsetting seeing as I use my phone for business everyday.

Straight Talk Wireless Unauthorized change in phone number

I called 611 and refilled my service before it expired. I received a text that said that I had new number. I called and was told to call back when I could call on another line. My husband and I spent over 2hrs on the phone. We where told several times to restart the phone. We then asked for someone else. They where not able to give me back my phone number that I have had for over 10 years.

Straight Talk Wireless New phone - refund of unsatisfied next day delivery

I have been with Straight Talk for more years than I care to remember and now It is time for me to get my third or forth new phone. The local Walmart did not have the model I wanted (a Samsung S9) and suggested there was two options. I could order through the Walmart website, or order directly through Straight Talk. I tried to order through Walmart, but there was no option to choose between GMS and CDMA; I need CDMA because of the where I live in order to get consistent service. I called Straight Talk on Saturday the 11th and spoke with a very nice young lady who answered all my questions and took my order. Since I already have a plan, I was able to save $100 over the Walmart price...should be a good thing! I paid an extra $14.95 for next day delivery. Margie explained that since it was Saturday, the phone would not be shipped out until Monday and I would have it on Tuesday. I received an order confirmation Saturday right after the phone conversation, and my credit card was charged. On Monday I received an email saying that the order was "accepted" and gave me a tracking number. I checked the tracking and it said that, as I expected, the delivery would be Tuesday before 8:00 PM. I stayed around waiting for the order because it was shipped signature required. It did not come on Tuesday.
This morning I called Straight Talk to request a refund of the $14.95 I had paid for next day delivery. After 40 minutes of talking to Anthony, I did not get any satisfaction. Indeed, he accused me of lying; said the order was placed on Monday. I explained multiple times and very carefully the sequence of events and the emails I had received. I asked to speak to his supervisor. This man also accused me of lying and after his speaking to his supervisor, said it was their policy or procedure and he would not issue a refund for a measly $14.95. He insisted that the order was processed on Monday, but they didn't get the shipment to FEDEX until after their cutoff time for next day delivery. I said that was not my problem, that was internal to Straight Talk and that since I did not get my phone on the next day as I had paid for, I should be issued a refund. The entire phone call took 1 hour, 27 minutes and 26 seconds and the man still could not comprehend the concept of customer satisfaction and getting what you pay for. He kept repeating the same "our policy" or "our procedure" will not let me issue this refund. All of this on a $700+ phone order.

I am an old retired guy and over the years in corporate America, I have shipped and received many, many, many FEDEX next day packages. When FEDEX does not deliver, they no questions asked refund the next day charges. Not so Straight Talk.

Straight Talk Wireless Service

My husband and I both have had straight talk phones for over 7 years. Here recently we have noticed that when we first pay our bill our phones don't run properly and function slowly on Wi-Fi until we run out of days then we cannot use the internet unless we are hooked up to Wi-Fi. It's like they are forcing us to use all of our data so they can try to get that extra money out of us to "speed" our phones back up.
