Another company hell bent on giving ppl the runaround vs actually helping them with their problems. They won't restore my service although they're the provider the refer me to the joke of a leasing company! How does this work when the issue isn't the bill not being paid? The issue is them holding up their end of the bargain aka I PAY THE BILL YOU GIVE ME PHONE SERVICE or am I wrong? This is ridiculous and both straight talk and SmartPay are the biggest scam of a joke on this earth.
Deactivation of phone with no notice
Re [protected]: My credit card was fraudulently used and I canceled it on Wed, 3 July and only 3 days later, on Sat, 6 July, straight talk canceled my service without giving me the chance to change the credit card - no notification that the payment didn't go through, nothing... For all I know, straight talk could have been responsible for my credit card being compromised...
First I had to figure out why I didn't have service, then I had to jump through hoops to reactivate it and now straight talk wants to charge me more than the previous plan...
I've been a customer for several years with no issues and I'm really disappointed they did not alert me the payment was declined and give me the chance to apply a different card.
I'm now looking for different service. But would like to have the rate for my original plan: $43.64/month.
Sincerely,
Mike Davies
Data restrictions with unlimited plan/ false advertising
I have had straight talk since they came put ive always got the unlimited plan but also always had internet so didn't ever notice issues until this last yr I've been in a rural area and I'm disabled the phone is my only communication and there is no internet here, with that being said at first was ok but then once I used the data on 45 plan they said it's no longer unlimited high speed !so I have been getting the 55 plan and it still happened I cannot be on thier hold times and just the call alone, multiple cause they hang up a whole 6 hrs no resolution and today both my phones data slowed to unloadable speed yet they say it's running at high speed, this happened after a call I placed to them to figure out why I can't access my account online, I spent all day today and I'm at my wits end!I pray these false advertising jerks get it handed to them as thier executive office seems to be under the impression that they can't be sued?! "We're not in the United States anymore toto " no justice for the small people that build this country! Absolutely disgusting to be victimized by corrupt companies like this, they used to be great i actually spread their services by word of mouth during my nursing years so this really leaves a bad tadt in my mouth.wish I knew how to get in the lawsuit🤔😕😔
I purchased a hotspot from straight talk website months ago and I used it successfully for a while but I didn't notice data ran out until it did. It said a tiny bit over the 4 gigs I bought. 4.03 or something and I bought 4 more but the hot spot signal indicator lights stayed red and it wouldn't work they wouldn't turn green and give me internet. Even after over an hour on the phone w customer service. They had to send me another sim card. The next time my data went a slight bit over the 4 I purchased, it quit working again. This time I was sent a new device after hours on the phone w rude customer reps that barely speak English. Finally, after an excessive and expensive time without one (wait until receive defective one before even mailing replacement causing twice the wait, loss, cost, inconvenience) I got the device and hot spot was working again. Fine for months up until the time it went a touch over 4g again and by now I see the pattern that every time it goes a fraction over purchased airtime, the hot spot will no longer connect to the internet. I told every customer service rep and tech support that I talked to, but no one cared at all. Neither did they care that I was billed $40 2 times in a row. It showed no airtime still after I added some so I thought it didn't go through so I did it again but it charged me for both. I used absolutely none of it and if your site would have shown added airtime I would never have thrown $40 down the drain like you insist I should do. So, after cheating me out of that, hot spot won't work next time data runs out and after an hour and a half on the phone w an idiot they are going to send me a sim this time. Every delivery is a huge problem because of required signature. I work out of town and it has to be when I'm there since you insist on signature w no exceptions. So I paid $9 for expedited 2 day shipping so I would still be home. Instead of 4 or 5 days free shipping. But it didn't come in 2 days. It came 4 days after I paid $9 for expedited 2 day shipping but I was still charged even though it took 4 days! So this time after over an hour on the phone again, hotspot still won't work. It's late, by now and the lights turned green for a split second so I thought it was going to work but it turned right back red. Rep said to give it time and someone would call back and see if it's working but no one ever did. I made 2 calls to customer servive that got disconnected just as soon as I got through the process you go through up to the point a human understands your problem and ready to tackle it then disconnected. Twice! Finally, after almost all day on the phone about this, it is determined that sim won't work even though you just sent it to me and now I need another device. So I wait for box and send hotspot to you and I am waiting a long time for hot spot but it never comes come. I haven't been able to use it for months now. It has cost me so much. And yet I'm still treated as if I'm the inconvenience and you're not ripping me off and cheating me every time you get the chance. This is ridiculous. I'm going to look into which company I'm switching, too, since y'all have so many issues that I have to pay for plus double charge if you can get away with it and I'd hate to know how much you've cost me when it comes to my valuable time. And I still have no hot spot and poor reception, horrid, atrocious customer service. Maybe Verizon...
Service

Mobile service
ive been with straight talk for 6 months and last Tuesday 05/27/2019 my phone says "searching" where it normally says LTE and I was advised to order a new sim card which I did and received it on Saturday. I activate the new sim card in my phone and it still says "searching" customer service says the sim card does not match my device once again. I still can not use my phone unless it is on wifi. They tell me the sim card does not match the imei on the back of my phone. This new Sim card has only been my phone it has never been inserted into another phone other than my own and they claim that it was activated on a different device. I am a salesman and can not go without my phone and I have been without it for a week already. I keep getting transferred from one foreign representative to another with a different response to the problem, with only one thing in common that my Sim card does not work for my phone. THE SIM CARD THAT I JUST RECEIVED ON SATURDAY 06/01/2019. UNBELIEVABLE. STRAIGHT TALK JUST LOST A RELIABLE CUSTOMER.
Locked iphone 6 - imed: [protected] 3 - telephone [protected]
My name is Rachel Lefebvre and I am a Canadian snowbird who resides in North Fort Myers, Florida for approximately 6 months out of the year. I purchased an iphone 6 at Walmart in North Fort Myers, Florida in November 2018. I could have chosen any supplier at that time but I chose Straight Talk because the representative from Straight Talk assured me that my iphone would not be locked if I was on a prepaid plan. The rep was aware that this phone had to be unlocked so I could use it once I returned to Canada. I called your office on April 16, 2019 to cancel my Auto-Refill Enrollment because I had returned to Canada. Your representative assured me that he had cancelled my auto refill and that I could go with any provider of my choice when I would return to the United States in the Fall 2019. The only thing he could not assure me of was my telephone number [protected] may not be available after 6 months. I called my cell phone provider (Virgin Mobile) in Canada and they advised me that the phone was locked and to contact Straight Talk to unlock it. I called your Straight Talk office on April 20 and spoke to a representative from your office who would not help me in anyway and she was rude. I asked to speak to the Manager and was transferred to a number where nobody picked up the phone. Having to call your office again was quite frustrating. I finally was able to speak to a manager on April 20 at 2:10 pm, his name was Edgar, employee number 526696. I explained my situation about the phone being locked and he simply said the phone cannot be unlocked because I was not with your company for 1 year. I explained to him that being a Canadian I could never be with your company for 1 year because of the immigration laws. I also explain that I was mislead and lied to by a representative when I activated the phone. This would mean that I could never leave Straight Talk as my provider which makes no sense to me at all. The manager told me that if I had served in the military that this would be the only way he could unlock the phone. In my opinion, his professionalism was not of a manager at all. I have worked in a Client Service field for the last 25 years and I would never treat a client the way I was treated by your staff. The information provided to me by your staff when I first activated the phone was inaccurate. This is unacceptable that your company abuses their clientele by giving false information. I called Verizon and they assured me that had I chosen them as my provider my phone would not have been locked even on a prepaid plan. It is imperative that this phone be unlock since I no longer have a cellular working in Canada and I'm unable to purchase another one. I certainly do not want to go around explaining my situation to all my American and Canadian snowbirds friends who may leave your company.
I look forward to hearing from you before I write to the Better Business Bureau.
My coordinates are as follows: iPhone cell number: [protected] (Not active)
IMED [protected] 3, my Canadian phone number [protected], my e-mail address is rachel.[protected]@sympatico.ca
Thank you.

Auto pay
They are taking out two phone payments every month since i started service every month I have to call and end up so angry I start yelling .they promise me every month they will fix it and refund my money and never do now I'm gonna cancel my husbands service because I'm tried of calling every month and being lied to and it never gets fixed and my money never gets refunded..By far worst company ever
Unable to reach my voicemail
I believe there was a storm or something and I was unable to reach my voicemail. I can't enter a password that I have saved for myself. I figured something got struck my lightning or destroyed. I figured I would wait a couple of days and it's still not letting me call my voicemail. It says it will connect me and I just hear my message. How do I fix this?
Cell phones
The absolute worst customer service imaginable! As long as they get the money they could care less about trying to resolve a issue. Lost service 5 days ago, can not dial out, receive, or text in any manner. Beware! They had been a good service provider until a problem arises, now, many people in my area are without service and they are claiming it is a phone issue. I am looking into a class action law suit, on the grounds of fraud.
Unlimited data
Straight talk states that unlimited data only consist of 60gb then you have to buy a new $55 unlimited plan to restore the high speed data. My data has been throttle after 28gb of data used. When i talked to straight talk they said to restore the high speed internet i had to buy another phone. How is unlimited data limited to only 60gb it is high robbery
Straight talk phone with unlimited data
I have had straight talk for about ten years and I have to use wifi to do anything on internet I contact them they said it's normal I told them no it's not i been paying 55.00 a month for UNlimited data and cant access nothing without wifi and they claim thats normal I haven't had 4g on the top of my phone for three months they claim thats normal but it isn't
Auto refill
My phone was stolen, so I cancelled auto refill for that number: [protected]. I was charged anyways. I have gotten nowhere with the customer service numbers. Just got charged again. You can e-mail me at: [protected]@hotmail.com.
Thank you,
Gary L. Klein
P.S. I have tried the number: 866-677-6470 to resolve this issue but only got busy signals even though I have tried dozen times at various times of the day. Including 3am. Very disappointed in the customer service systems in place.
Auto payment
I called and cancelled auto refill on 3-24-19. They took the money out of my account anyway resulting in overdraft. When I called it took the same morning it was taken out it took 3 days to put my money back in but I still owed for the overdrafts that this caused. I had my money all planned out. I was not going to use the $40. 00 in my account. All other checks were covered. By them taking the $4o.Oo out it caused not only that payment to overdraft but 2 others. I am very mad because I had cancelled auto payment.
Adding a service plan
I added a service plan to my Straight Talk Wireless through the app on my phone. I always just plug in the service pin number and at the end of my service plan the new plan is added. It was asking me if I wanted to add now or reserve. I was a little stumped because it has never asked me this before. I did not realize that by changing their app and asking me this, I automatically lost my unused days and the plan started right now, by hitting the apply now button. I called "Customer Service" and there is "nothing we can do". Gee thanks. Customer Service can use an attitude adjustment; not very nice at all. I can't even pronounce what either gentlemen's name was who I spoke with. The supposedly supervisor stated there is nowhere to submit a written complaint with this company. I can't afford to be losing days on my account and there has to be a department or something where you can discuss or write to within this company.
Straight talk wireless data
Data runs out in 1 day after you pay for your minutes.i call and they say reboot your phone or I have used up all mydata also when i paid for min they was placed on some one else's number when I called back to tell them they said they had refunded the money back but didnt.they scam people out of their money their data and services they say I can't have a hot spot they don't provide hot spot.i lose service and everything
Customer services
I called to actavite a phone I thought I had gotten a 55 dollar unlimited card but what I was given was a 35 dollar card with 3 gigs of data and the phone number was changed 3 times in the course of 2 hours to resolve this without loss of service corporate agreed to reset the data when it was gone when O called to have this done they said no and offered extra service days with no data then they offered 1.5 gigs of data I told them that I would not settle for less then 2 and When they said that they were going to transfer me they hung up
Unlimited data
I purchased an unlimited data plain for 55 dollars which the card stated unlimited unlimited data. Well when I reach a certain amount of data they blocked me from being able to use any data. I still had 20 days left of service before I had to refill my account. I called them and they told me that it is unlimited until I get to 60 gs. Well it never said that on any card I have purchased. It only says data unlimited unlimited Twice. Unlimited means there is no limited to what you use. I guess they didn't learn that in school or something. The picture I'm showing is my data chart which states I have used 200 gb of my unlimited plain. I had to end up buying a 5 dollar plan just to get 1 gb of data. I have talk to them over and over again and can't get no where with them.
If you are going to be selling something you have to be straight up about it and not false advertise! Its the law! Duh!
If I was sell you a 12 pack of coca cola but only had 6 cans in the pack... Do you think you would be ok with it? I mean I guess just because it says 12
Pack doesn't mean there has to be 12 in the pack. It is false advertising
Customer service
I attempted to purchase a phone on line. It took 5 attempts to complete the order, thanks to their website (even with chat assistance). When I finally completed the order and pressed confirm, the screen read "system failure". I then tried to place the order over the phone. I was connected to 3 different agents (all speaking broken English). The third agent finally attempted to take my order. I then repeated all my information which took over twenty minutes. He then tried to place the order and also got "system failure" on his screen. He put me on hold to contact a systems supervisor. When he finally returned, he informed me that there was an internal system problem and it needed to be repaired. He said to try the on line order later. I asked if the information that I gave him (including credit card) would be used. He said no, and assured me that the order and charges would not be duplicated when I placed my order at a later time. After hanging up, I went on line with my bank and saw that there were not only one, but two, pending charges ($85.69 X 2) posted. I called straight talk c.s. back to get a credit and they said they could not and to call my bank. I did and my bank said they could not remove "pending" charges and to call back when they actually post. I then checked my email and saw 2 order confirmations on orders that said "system failure try again later". I have spent close to 3 hours trying to order and correct all of your errors, and still do not know if my order is correct, how many phones I will or will not receive, and how many times I will be charged. You owe me time, aggravation, and an apology as a straight talk customer for many years. Michael Kowal [protected] P.S. I do hope this gets forwarded directly to straight talk! 3/12/2019 Refund? Credit? Written response? P.P.S. If I receive 2 phones (a possibility), I will be forced to go through additional time and aggravation to accomplish a return.
Straight talk prepaid plan
I purchased a Galaxy J3 Orbit with Straight Talk simply because the $55 prepaid plan stated "unlimited data". I used the phone mainly as a hotspot for my Xbox one to play online games and watch Netflix. In a matter of 16 days I used well over 60GB and didn't think anything about it because my prepaid plan stated "unlimited data". According to Straight Talk, after 60GB they'll review your account for violation and reduce your data speed to 2G which means you can make phone calls and send text messages but cannot access the internet from your phone.
Android/iphone
My phone was purchased around early Dec. 2018. So new, yet You won't allow internal storage. I paid 250. I will need my money back. 300. Should have allowed me to have word. Not only does it not, I can't even get your app. (I even have a storage card.) Why did I spend money like that on a phone you will not allow to have storage? Edy.
