I do NOT know when but Straight Talk changed mine and my husband’s zip codes on our accounts to Florida and Germantown where we have NEVER LIVED! We have lived in the same zip code for the duration we have had straight talk. We have lived in the same zip code for over 25 years. Straight talk customer service refuses to fix this problem and says each time I try that in order to put our zip code in we have to get a new phone number which is ludicrous! I don’t want a new phone number. Customer service keeps saying it’s the zip code that was given at the time of activation. I said that is false as I didn’t even know those zip codes or towns or lived there at all so why would I give them? They are also charging us taxes according to these 2 bogus zip codes which is NOT right! I have tried to get them to change our zip codes back to where we live and they will NOT do it unless we changed our phone numbers that we have had over 10 years. And that is down right stupid! I googled this and WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT THIS HAS BEEN DONE TO!
Desired outcome: Fix our zip codes back to where we live and have always lived, without changing our phone numbers!
Yes we have lived at the same address for 28 years and my husband's zip code for his phone is Florida and mine is a place called Germantown in Ohio. When I call they say you activated your phone there, I said we most certainly did no such thing! Then the customer service people whom are foreigners and difficult to understand say the only way we can change this is if you change your phone numbers and I tell them that's ridiculous! Not changing a phone number over something as simple as correcting our zip codes back to what they originally were! One customer service guy said well if you don't like it then change carriers... 😡 I said you know what, I am going to look into that! How they can change your zip code when they full well know our address and where we reside is beyond me and should not be allowed to happen!
Good luck to you!
I just noticed that they had my husbands phone being used with a California zip code and address we never lived at. Always have been an Arizona customer. My bill was different 9 times over the past 12 months for the same silver unlimited plan.
I accidentally wrote my reply to you in the comments... 🤦🏼♀️
Yeh but good luck to you, I have not been able to get them to change it back. Only if we change our phone numbers that we have had for over 10 years and I'm not going to do that. They can change our zip codes back without changing our phone numbers! I know they can!
