Suddenlink Communications Keep getting billed

I canceled the service, returned the equipment. (actually they ripped it out of my Aunts hands) and they are still billing me!
I am considering a class action law suit since I am not the only one this has happened to. My Mother died in Monet Mo. and we had Suddenlink turned off as well as returning the equipment she had. My Aunt brought it back and when she cane up to the door they took it out of her hands and shut the door.
She called them and asked for a receipt for the equipment and they told her it was not there policy to do so. They are praying on old people it seems and should be stopped NOW! I have seen other people complaining about the same thing. Shame on you Suddenlink!

Suddenlink Communications over charging on the bill

My mom went suddenlink store to pay h/er bill and the c/s made a mistake and told my mom payment was 153 and was suppose to be 193. So my daughter has been on the phone with c/s and get the run around and the c/s at the store made a mistake and we have to pay for the misgake and that is totally wrong and have proof that the bill was paid on time and got charged late fee our ya scamming every customer to get xtra money and that is so wrong on yalls part. My daughter told the c/s on the phone that we are going to pay 178. instead of 236. and we do not pay the bill and it happens again and again. We are not trying to get out of paying the bill just trying the right amount and not someone mistakes and sitting on it but the bill was processed at the bank two days after my mom went to the store. So the bill was not late.

Suddenlink Communications Phone service

I have had major surgery 2 months ago and still cannot get around good. I went to use the phone and there is no service. I would like to know what I am supposed to do if it were an emergency? It's always something with Suddenlink. The tv cuts out when you are interested in a program, the phone is dead, you lose internet at least 5 times a week. Excuse my french but this is [censored]! We pay over $200.00 a month for crappy service. Can nothing be done against Suddenlink to make them straighten up?

Suddenlink Communications My cable and internet and phone bundle.

When I got my first cable bill at the beginning of this year, and it was $35-$40 dollars more than it was the month before, I paid my bill, then I gathered up my cable equipment and took it back to Suddenlink. I got rid of my landline and kept only the internet. Last month my 13 year old neighbor kid put a USB into my computer and took all my passwords. I had my own router, and all I wanted to do was change the password to my WiFi. The girl I talked to talked me into using your router and told me it would only cost me $10.00 per month. During this time she told me I was past due on my bill. I said I didn't think I was, but let me go get my bank statements and check. It turns out that she was correct, Aprils statement did not have a payment for Suddenlink.
When I went back to Suddenlink, The girl I had talked to before, was at lunch, so I explained every thing all over again to a new girl. I had been paying $94.00 a month for internet, So I paid them the $198.00 I owed them, thought everything was setteled. This month I get a bill for $213..00.
My land line and cable had been added back to it. I do know that my neighbor kid had ordered something from Suddenlink on my account, because Suddenlink called to set up an installment. I told them that my neighbor kid had hacked my account and that I had not ordered anything from Suddenlink. Today when I went to Suddenlink to ask about my bill, Their equipment wasn't working and they could not bring up my account.

Desired outcome: Is there Any place to go where I can fix this. Other wise you can keep your internt

Suddenlink Communications Customer service

There is really not much to say really except that what once was a responsive company is not a boiler room full of inexperienced workers and outright liars. They will not connect you with a supervisor and claim a supervisor will call you back. They never do. They lie about the contracts they make and raise your rates against the contracts they promise. They are a virtual monopoly in every market so you either use them or have no Internet. The worst service and worst corporation.

Desired outcome: Honor the contract made two years ago. Have a supervisor call.

Suddenlink Communications TV cable and internet service

I was a customer of sudden link while a resident in Forney Texas. My wife and I were relocation to Tyler area due to work location. We closed our account last week of feburary, verified the final bill amount and how to ship equipment back. We boxed and shipped equipment back using the local UPS store750E US Hwy 80 Unit 200 Forney Texas 75126. We then contacted sudden link after we closed March 1st in Chandler, TX about new service at our new address. Then the problems started. They were not able to set up service on 1st trip out delaying our service another week. They came back set up our TV and internet, however the TV would not stay connected long enough to complete a program, it would continually state signal lost. We called repeatedly, and they made 7 plus service calls and were not able to correct the program. During this time We received April bill which had charges for Forney address included, called and notified that acount was closed and that we did not have the service any more we did not live there. Was told it was taken care off. May, same thing. Called again and the next bill instead of fees being removed, they added them on calling it a transfer fee. again called. We are also at this time still trying to get working TV service. The last service call was in June my husband was very ill and told them if they could not fix it we would just close the service. A manager called and said let us come back one more time we will wash out all amount owed and provide service for the next 3 months no charge. Since they had not been able to provide service since installation, there was no hope that anything would be different the next time. I explained I was going in for major surgery and was not up to the constant problems and for now just close the account. We did tell them after my husband returned from the hospital we might consider but nothing would be decided before surgery. The supervisior said he had to know by Friday. We said we cant do it. Now we have a bill with a missed apointment, the same day my husband had to be at UTSW to see the surgeon. I Dont know who made that appointment but I can assure you we did not. They also put a charge on there $595.00 equipment fee. All equipment is boxed and ready to send in. Trying to find a way to get a label to send it back. The web site takes you to a third party with security warnings. My husband had surgery the 28th day of June, we did not get home till after 7PM on Thursday July 1st. At the time of this writting, I have decided to take the equipment to address on Broadway in Tyler and attempt to return equipment there. this is a complaint with sudden link not BBB. sounds like you maybe missed a step or someone didnt finish the close on their end.

replaced old and dead computer. New one was installed, but for some reason, he didn't enter my email name correctly. I have had "hugybr" for over 21 years and I want it back. My family and friends only know my email address "[protected]@suddenlink.net

Suddenlink Communications Internet

We have been with out service for 2 days ...And when we call customer service...there so very ruid. And you ask to talk to supervisor and or manager..the refuse...My service and neighbors service has been out since the 5thof July earlier afternoon...july6th still with out... july 6th is the same time yesterday it went out...customers service ruid ruid ...know do you think there going to reduce or bill...no...there is no excuse for this, , , very unprofessional... very un happy customer...oh yea ..red light when you cant get corporate office..

Suddenlink Communications Being billed for a service call

I was without service for almost a month. When the service person arrived he installed new cable lines in my home. I didn't notice how the cable was ran outside of my home until after he had left. It looked very tacky so I asked if it could be redone. The person that I spoke with, a service person with Suddenlink informed me that he couldn't do anything about it. He told me to call in for a service person to come back out. Which I did. When I made the appointment for service I was not informed about there being a service charge. Once here,
I was told that the way that the line was ran was the best that they could do. So, nothing was done. Why am I being charged for doing nothing? Just because he came out to look and do nothing! Even though, I was with out service for almost a month. When calling billing I was told just because a service person came out I was being charged. Totally ridiculous! This is the worst service ever! Now I know why so many people are complaining. AT&T coming my way! I was billed on 5-27-21. [protected])

Desired outcome: Take the $60 service charge off of my bill!

Suddenlink Communications Cable connection

I am Stephen Knipe and my address is 2818 Aurora St. Tyler, TX 75701. My next door neighbor is at 2826 Aurora St. and is also involved in this problem. Both houses are new this year and are seen in photos 6 and 7. We are at the end of the telephone pole line. As you can see in photo 1.

The builder included underground tubing for cable to connect to each house. You can see this in photos 2 and 3. My house was connected in a few days but took 2 trips by different installers. My neighbor took 2 months because the installer said he would have to hire an electrician to run cable through tube. This was not true since the neighbor used a ball of string, piece of plastic and a vacuum to suck string through. Then your installer pulled the cable through.

But to get to the problem. The connector at the top of the pole only allows two connections as you can see in photos 4 and 5. The installer for 2826 said he would put a work order in to get this replaced.

To connect he cut my connection at the base and put a splitter in temporarily. It was to be fixed when the connector up top would be replaced with a larger connector.

That was over a month ago. Nothing has happened. I called their office and the male just wanted to go through a routine to check my modem. He would not listen to my need. I have experienced some slow down. I want to plant grass but can't because of the mess left in my yard. Splitters degrade the connection. I am sharing a service with the neighbor but we both are paying full price.

Please setup someone to come fix this! I can't keep calling and reaching someone that won't listen or isn't capable of understanding the problem. Seems like they are just not autonomous but programmed robots.

Desired outcome: A crew sent to my house to fix the problem.

Account number [protected] I closed my account 12/15/2020 at that time I asked about returning the old modem we have had since we had for the past 13 years. They told me nothing needs to be returned. Suddenlink Communications Outage credit

Our cable and internet went out on Saturday 5/15/21 due to an outage because of a blown amplifier. I reported the lack of service next morning. After they made us go through a battery of tests, they claimed there was a good signal and there wasn't an outage (even though there was). The cable and internet did not come back on until 5/19/21 late in the evening. I called suddenlink today told them we absolutely no service and we have 2 people working from home that had to go elsewhere to find internet. My bill is $238+ dollars a month with NO premium channels, just expanded basic and internet. I was told that all of my days of no service, I would be reward a whopping $15.97! I have been with suddenlink from day one even before they were suddenlink 30+ years. Very disappointed, I will contacting one of the other 4 cable/internet providers to change service, this is totally unacceptable. When I asked what this $15.97 credit is based on, I could not get a clear answer other than outage data whatever that means.

Desired outcome: The total amount of the monthly bill minus the 5 days of no service, def. is NOT $15.97.

Suddenlink is stealing from there customers. My bill went from 107 to 175 for only extended cable and no internet. When I try to talk to someone which I have been calling for months on end they keep me on hold for well over 30 minutes and no resolution. I'm suing. Pro bono. I have all my bill copies for 1 year. It would blow people's mind. Scammers work for suddenlink.

Suddenlink Communications Technical issue with cable box to be repaired

I am a Suddenlink customer and have never encountered a more incompetent discourteous operation in all of my years as a consumer. Faulty equipment and incompetent technicians currently have me about to receive my sixth SIXTH cable box for reception in five years. On May 5, 2021 a new cable box was installed only to have it fail to be able to operate only five days later. .
I have had to call the company for a technician three times due to technicians not keeping scheduled appointments at my home YET according to my calls to the support center, the technician claims that he did arrive at my home. This is impossible because I was there the entire day waiting for their arrival. When I reported the technicians not keeping the appointment I have been told that this is and I quote "unfortunately an all too frequent occurrence for which we apologize." WTF?
According to the support center there is no accountability placed upon the technicians. The support center seems to be outsourced and there is a clear disconnect between what transaction a customer can address and rectify via calling the support center and what the local technicians are required and monitored to be performing as their duties and responsibilities in their field.
Having some experience in business, the SuddenSTINK model is clear: operate in small rural communities that have no recourse for other cable options and rely on the power of the monopoly concept to provide rude and incompetent service at a price which is near the level of usury.

Suddenlink Communications Outside component housing box

I had an appointment for internet service on May 5, 2021. "Tech" was two hours late, not very nice, did not solve the problem and broke the housing door of the component box on the outside wall and drove off without reporting or fixing it. He also left the street tower exposed. I called for another appointment May 7, 11 and 13 all in vain. None of these "techs" solved the problem. Eventually, on the 13th, someone arrived in secret and attached the new box on only one of the four post, leaving the box insecure and hanging. Someone was to return that same day to solve the problem but never arrived. Now, I am supposed to have another "tech" come on Monday May 17, 2021. I have no faith that the box will be fixed. Suddenlink has no complaint number to talk to anyone. Customer service# simply takes you to the option of making another appointment.
Most people pay an average of $250.00 month for bundle cable, internet and phone. Suddenlink has hired contract "tech" idiots who do not care nor knows anything about anything. I do not know what to do other than go down the street and stand in line in vain, possibly to be told "We cannot help you." l am so sick and tired of Suddenlink. I do not know what else to do.
Also, we had two back to back destructive hurricanes in late 2020. Suddenlink did not have a clue on getting homes and businesses back on line for over a month. Way to go SUDDENLINK!

Suddenlink Communications Customer service

I was very happy when my rural neighborhood got Suddenlink. The problem started with the sales person who made it seem like a bundle was the only option. After reading reviews about the company I opted for only internet. The speed is amazing! However, when I received my first bill(after several calls prior to install), I was charged for the bundle. I called in and spoke with 4 different people and the last person I spoke with said something wasn't done correctly by the last person. After being on the phone for close to an hour to fix a mistake the company made, he wanted to transfer me back to the previous person to fix it. I declined and he said he would fix it for me. I'd heard so many terrible things about your customer service and it would seem it's all correct. While the representatives were all polite, knowledge base was lacking, as was as the ability to do the right thing for the customer. Hopefully my new bill will be correct. Fingers crossed 🤞

Suddenlink Communications Phone and internet/customer service

April 8th (3:00 AM EST) I pay my bill and the service is interrupted. The service is not restored within the timeframe that is supposed to be restored. On the message it states that the internet will be restored within 15 minutes and phone will be 4 hours. In April, it was not restored until 3 days later. Suddenlink sent 2 technicians to my home and it was not until the last technician came to my home that he called dispatch and they got "the flowers out of my wall". This caused me 2 full days of pay and we had an emergent situation with my 17 year old son due to his BG dropping dangerously low. Customer service is a joke and told me that I need to pay my bill on time and this would not happen (this was what was inferred by his conversation and tone).

Desired outcome: I requested that I be given a month's credit on my bill ($253.00/$279.00)

Suddenlink Communications Poor service, both Technical and customer service

In the Town of Morrilton, AR suddenlink has become a nightmare to say the least. Using both Phone or internet chat, you can never get a problem addressed, and never fix or repaired as well. Slower than advertised internet speeds, non working services like video on demand and terrible quality cable video. I feel the Monopoly on cable providers in the area has lead to a laxed and uncaring company running things.

Suddenlink Communications telecable service

3 months ago suddenlink failed to process payment and the next month the bill was double so mailed a check the next day for double payment. I called them and told them the day I got the bill what I was doing and told them if they got the check from the month before to let me know. Well the first check cleared the bank that very day and they did not inform me that it had cleared. That did not keep them from charging me a late fee anyway. A lot of customers had the same problem that month, enough that some banks were not charging to stop payment on the lost checks. While on the phone with them my cable was turned off and they swore they did not do it went 4 days without cable that time. Called today to see if I could get bill lowered and guess what, cable disconnected again while on the phone with them and the woman I was talking to who spoke terrible English said she did not do it. I DO NOT BELIEVE her. So here we go again no cable.

Desired outcome: want to quit being over charged and them to admit they turned cable off. I was being very polite on the phone until cable was turned off but still kept my cool

Suddenlink Communications Poor quality

For 6 weeks the Suddenlink cable on all the HD channels is messed up. Connections are frozen, scrambled and distorted. Watching the masters was terrible as is any movie etc.
We have called to complain to the local (27804 zip) distributor but they are noncommittal as to what can be done and when it will be fixed. They did admit that others have called as well.
We are requesting that it be fixed and also that we get refunded 6 weeks of poor quality/service. Our account # is [protected]
