I think the guys who did the fence were in a hurry to finish it all up in just one day
I think the guys who did the fence were in a hurry to finish it all up in just one day. They ended up leaving their own garbage like banana peels, Gatorade bottles, and Walmart bags with paper towels in our front yard for a good 4 days. They also didn't do a great job nailing the entire fence down, so now they gotta come back and fix that mess. Oh, and the gate they installed doesn't even close properly.
They are way too expensive and they kept delaying our service date
They are way too expensive and they kept delaying our service date. We were stuck with this company because the people we bought our house from hired them as part of our sale. The guys who put up the fence did a terrible job, left their garbage everywhere, and left nails in our driveway. There's a big gap under the fence where our neighbor's dog can stick his head through. Our dog doesn't like other dogs (that's why we got the fence) and this creates a dangerous situation. When I reached out to the company, they said the gap isn't covered by the warranty, and their installers do "their best". That's a lame excuse for their best. They won't fix the problem, but they say we can pay to get it fixed. Sunrise Fence is total garbage. Stay away from this company as much as you can.
Terrible quallity, horrble customer service!
Terrible quallity, horrble customer service! During my survey I was quoted 1 price, and with in 10 minutes the price jumped 2x. The product of wood is thin & warped almost immediately. They didnt hinge the back to the neighbors fence so its gaping open. And then gate is my biggest issue. It was extremely tight when first installed. I assumed b/c summer wood swells. But by winter it was worse & w/in 9 months it wouldnt shut. Ive been emailing & calling for 6 months with no resolution. Dodged emails. Promises to come out & never showing. Truly disturbing to know as a 24/7 single mom that I worked 2 years to save up for a fence & during covid everything jumped in cost plus I had property stolen out of my yard. So I scraped every *** to put in a fence for safety. And this is how Im treated? Its unacceptable. Im appalled!
This company is so unprofessional
This company is so unprofessional. I waited months for my fence to be put up and when they finally came to install it, the fence was not even finished. I talked to the people who were doing the installation and realized that our contracts were different. I had to call so many times to start a disagreement. The installers left because they didn't have the wood, so my fence was not complete. I called every day for like 2 weeks until I finally got in touch with my contact person. He said it would cost an extra $200 to finish the fence. My original contract clearly showed the price and the work I wanted, but Sunrise Fence has like 4 different contracts for one simple job. The prices changed from $1300 to $750 just to install a 13-inch enclosure. I asked to talk to the owner, but some agent told me I had to go through her and that the price was set. They told me to find other contractors to fix my fence problems. They said I couldn't talk to the owner because her email doesn't work and Samantha S doesn't have a regular schedule to return my calls.
This company is great at first
This company is great at first. They give you a quick, fair price. They even handle your HOA approval for you. They were really nice in the beginning. But after they installed the fence and collected the money... it's hard to get them to send someone out for repairs. They don't take responsibility, and when they do send someone, it takes months. I got my fence installed a year and a half ago. One of my double gates never closed properly and would swing open with the wind. My dogs kept escaping. They came to "fix" our gate multiple times. Each guy who came had very few materials and told me the gates were installed wrong from the start. But they couldn't actually fix it because the "office" wouldn't give them the materials or the go-ahead to fix it. Now we can't even open the gate because one side fell off the hinges. I've reached out many times, but they just ignore me now. I'm stuck with a useless gate. Be careful if you're thinking of buying from them! I wish I had checked the ComplaintsBoard.com complaints before paying them. There are lots of cases like mine. So disappointing!
Do yourself a favor and find a real professional
Do yourself a favor and find a real professional. Make sure you know *whowill actually do the installation and that you have direct contact with someone who can address any issues that arise. Sunrise was an awful company to work with. The only part of the process that was easy was completing the sale. That, and processing our payment (the day before the installation even started!), was the last time they showed up on time or executed something correctly. Installation process was poorly executed - from mediocre workmanship to a slow installation, delayed in part due to a lack of properly including the correct supplies for the project. Installer was polite, but clearly not experienced nor thoughtful about his work or the impact to our home environment. They didn't show up when they said they would and communication throughout was very poor. Calls to the corporate office were met with clueless responses because, it turns out, our installer was a contract who was doing his own thing and only loosely affiliated with the company we actually paid to do the work. We followed up with the company directly on specific concerns and got an "oh, well" response that tried to be somewhat empathetic but ultimately never offered to correct the issues. However, we understand that sometimes things go sideways and are handled poorly for different reasons, and certainly don't want to diminish the reputation of a growing small business because we believe that the owner probably cares at some level but is simply inexperienced at managing these issues. It's been ~3 months since installation and now the freshly installed gate is sagging. We can clearly see it's sagging because the gate was attached to an old post, while we specifically requested, and expected, it to be installed on fresh wood. We contacted Sunrise today to report the sag and asked them to correct it, and got a response that was completely dismissive. We're 100% done with Sunrise and would never contact them for anything. If this is the best fencing company around, we'll learn to do it ourselves next time.
Sunrise Fence, Inc
Sunrise Fence, Inc. has been a terrible company to work with! They don't communicate with customers good, or honor the commitments they made and got paid for. We signed a contract in September for them to finish our fence. We needed a secure perimeter for our dogs. I was very clear that if they couldn't do that, then I didn't want to move forward, since that was our only reason for getting a fence. In early/mid February, they came and put in part of our fence and said that the estimator made a plan that didn't work on the site, so they couldn't finish the job that day. This is even though we got charged for the rest of our project a few days before it was done. Their policy says that the balance will be charged on installation day, which is not right. They sent the estimator a few weeks later, and he priced out the plan described by the installer. I was told it would be either the next week or the following week when our project would be done. And then...we didn't hear from them for 2 weeks. I reached out, and they told us that the rain delayed projects and we were on the list and would be contacted soon. Again, we didn't hear from them for over a month, even though we kept asking for an update. Finally I wrote them a strongly worded email about our frustrations with their lack of communication, almost 2 months of waiting for 20 feet of fencing to be done, and watching my neighbor's fence be put in before ours (I told them about the companyBIG MISTAKE!), and they told us that the installer's truck broke down in February (again, now it's April and this is the first we hear of it) but that the truck is fixed now and we will get our fence soon. Their excuse was that they thought we would want the same installer since we "had long talks with him about our project." I talked to him for less than 3 minutes. They said our project was sent to a manager who would call by the end of day with an installation date for us. We didn't hear back, even though we asked many times and called to talk to a manager. No one called us back. It's now early-mid May and we still heard nothing. We spent over $2000 with them, referred 2 other clients to them, and we still only have half a fence. They are a shell who pays contractors who are not part of the company to finish projects. So, like in our case, if your contractor's truck breaks down, Sunrise does NOTHING to fix it. This is one of the worst run companies I have ever worked with. They don't respect customers at all, and their communication skills are so unprofessional.

Dates: 2017/2021 Amount of money spent: $3,000 Sunrise was supposed to fix my fence post, but they haven't done anything about it. They haven't even bothered to call me back after I've tried reaching out to them multiple times through calls and emails to talk to the manager. The three guys who came to my house to check and try to fix the fence didn't make any real effort, and they eventually admitted that they can't do repairs.
Our fence got messed up by those landscapers from ***
Our fence got messed up by those landscapers from ***. So, the company paid Sunrise to fix it up, but they haven't finished the job. We've been talking to Sunrise a bunch of times to get our fence replaced, but every time my husband talks to them, they come up with a new excuse. We already paid them in full to fix our fence, but they're not doing the work. And now, they're not even answering our calls or emails.
Refuse to give refund on deposit, even though install is 2 months out
Refuse to give refund on deposit, even though install is 2 months out. Signed a contract and gave deposit of $1650.00 for wooden fence on 6/12, soon after our neighborhood developer updated fence requirements and no longer will allow wooden fences. I called Sunrise just weeks after deposit to request a deposit refund, they stated that due to a shortage in lumber they had already ordered and received our materials but installation would not be until September. They refused to issue any refund on my deposit even though their policy does allow for one. Request my deposit be refunded, sunrise does not install a fence that complies with my HOA.

We got a fence put up by Sunrise Fence, Inc
We got a fence put up by Sunrise Fence, Inc. in January. But now, it's all wonky and falling on one side. The boards are also getting all bent out of shape. We reached out to Sunrise Fence on April 2nd to ask for some repairs. They told us to send them some pictures. After they saw the pictures, they said that the stuff we were worried about wasn't covered by any warranty. They only wanted to fix the labor and workmanship. But come on, it's pretty clear that there's a problem with how they did the job. The wood wasn't nailed down right, which is why it's all warped. And there's something off with the concrete on three of the posts, making the whole thing lean. They said they'll fix it, but we gotta pay them a service charge.
I called up Sunrise Fence to put up a fence in my backyard, supposed to be 20 x 12
I called up Sunrise Fence to put up a fence in my backyard, supposed to be 20 x 12. They said they'd come on Wednesday, March 17th, between 9am - 10am. But when I paid, the lady said they'd show up between 2pm - 3pm. I told her I couldn't be here then, but she said it's all good. I managed to be here for a bit and met the guys. When I got back home, I told one of the installers, Ricardo, that it didn't look like 12 feet. He insisted it was, built according to the paper's specs. The paper says 20 x 12, and I even have a contract signed by the company. But Ricardo, the fence installer, said he doesn't need to come back and fix anything.
We hired Sunrise Fence, Inc
We hired Sunrise Fence, Inc. to install a fence. On the day of installation, the Sunrise Fence team came and dumped materials all over the backyard and driveway, blocking my garage. The installer had a question, but because I didn't respond quickly enough over the phone, he left. When I returned home, I found a huge pile of wood and cement blocking my car in the driveway. I called the office and was told someone would call me back, but they never did. I had to move the lumber in the backyard myself to prevent the grass from dying and push some of the lumber pile in my driveway just to get my car out. Fast forward a week and a few days, the installers finally came and installed the fence, but they left a large pile of wood still blocking my garage in the driveway, making it impossible for me to park my car. I called the office multiple times and sent emails, but my calls were ignored and the response was always, "Oh, someone will come out to get it," yet nothing happened. I can't even pull my car into the garage, and it was a real hassle just to get it out. It's clear that the owner doesn't care at all. All I want is for someone to come and pick up these materials so I can finally park in my garage.
They didn't show up or call twice for repairs
They didn't show up or call twice for repairs. They didn't return our calls or give us repair dates. It's been over 3 months. We hired them to finish our fence in winter 2017. They finished it in January . They promised a lifetime warranty on the fence gates. In spring 2019, we contacted them about the main gate not closing properly. They sent someone to fix it several weeks later. We asked if there was anything we could do to prevent it from breaking again, but they said no. In March , we contacted them again because the same gate came off the hinge. They scheduled a fix for May 21st, but they didn't show up or call. We left 4 messages and emailed them on May 27th. They responded without apologizing, saying they were busy and that the lifetime warranty covered repairs. I didn't know their goal was to make a product that breaks just to fix it. They said they would call in 2 weeks to set up another appointment, but they never did. We had to call them again. They gave us a new date of July 2nd, but no one showed up or called. I called on July 3rd and was told they would contact their manager and call me back, but they never did. I tried calling on July 6th, but got voicemail. I called again on July 7th and finally spoke to someone. I asked about the repair and they said they were backed up and it had been 4 months. They said they would call me back with a date.
They put up a fence but part of it went on my neighbor's land and the other part is too short on my property
They put up a fence but part of it went on my neighbor's land and the other part is too short on my property. The fence was installed on July 14, but it wasn't done according to the contract we signed. Some of it is on my neighbor's property and the rest is too short on mine. The fence company doesn't want to fix the problem, even though I gave them a survey of the property. When they came on July 14 to install the fence and started marking the property, I told them it was wrong where they were putting it. I even had them call the office to check, but I don't know what they were told because they kept building the fence. I tried to find a Supervisor who works with the new development to help the fence company figure out the property lines. I was worried and kept talking to them, but they just kept building the fence. A week later, *** Homes, the builder, sent a surveyor to mark the property. That's when I found out that the fence was about 10 feet on my neighbor's property, 4-5 feet on the developer's property, and 10 feet off on my property. The whole fence is wrong. When I signed the contract, it was supposed to be a 14-inch fence on the right side of my house and a 10-inch fence on the left. But after they finished, it was the opposite, so I told the worker it was wrong. I even had them call the office, but they were told to keep going. I don't understand why they would draw the plan and then do the opposite. I'm having no luck getting this fixed. They won't call me back. I also went to the developer and HOA, but they're not contacting them either. They only answered one email and said they would give me a quote to move the fence off my neighbor's lot, but nothing else. I feel like I paid for a fence and I should either get the one I signed for or they should come back and take it down and give me my money back.
I agredd with Sunrise fence to install a portion of fence on my property, they wrote up a contract that had the correct measurements so I paid
I agredd with Sunrise fence to install a portion of fence on my property, they wrote up a contract that had the correct measurements so I paid for the invoice on August 3rd. Their installation date of August 27th was when I was going to be out of town, to which the rep at sunrise told me won't be an issue as installers will just follow the contract, which I knew was written correctly as I was there when they measured. Come installation day, I called sunrise to ensure they had everything correct, but was told that the installation had already started and there is no way for them to be contacted in the field. After the installation, my neighbor informed me that they installed the fence incorrectly. I told sunrise this, and they moved some of the fence to be on property line, but didn't correct the other mistakes I brought to their attention. So the installers chose to start the fence towards the front of my house instead of the middle of my house as listed on contract. Since they only had 93 feet of lumber to install, the fence was ***ft short of going to my rear property line as they started the fence ***ft to high up my house from the middle as agreed upon. Upon speaking with Sunrise, they informed me the original rep had left the company, then started blaming most of the issues on the representative and weren't willing to correct the mistakes even though they were an employee of Sunrise. This is concerning to me as the issues and mistakes stem from the installers not starting the fence at the correct point and has nothing to do with their *** Sunrise is not willing to come back out to put the fence on the lines that were agreed upon, nor are they willing to give any refund. I am just wanting Sunrise to complete the contact terms that we had agreed upon and that I paid for as it is the right thing to do. If they aren't willing to, a refund is due as they charged me for work that wasn't completed.
I had a problem with Sunrise Fence, Inc
I had a problem with Sunrise Fence, Inc. First, they measured incorrectly and I had to pay extra. I also asked for a different lock on the second gate, but they didn't provide it. They don't give you an installation date until you pay a nonrefundable deposit, and I had to wait three months. They didn't even call to let me know that the installation date had changed. It went from July 27 to August 8, and it could change again if it rains. The installation was delayed twice because of the weather. On the day of the installation, the workers realized that William, who did the measurements, made a mistake. He cut off 8 feet on one side. I called the office and they said I had to pay extra for the additional feet, which cost $112. I paid it, but I wanted to speak with the manager. I don't think I should have to pay for their mistake, especially since I showed William exactly where I wanted the fence. How could he make such a big error? On the new paperwork given to the installers, he marked 68 feet on the left side and 60 feet on the right side, which wasn't on my original quote. I budgeted based on the quote, so this was frustrating. Secondly, I had two gates installed, but one of them has a lock that I can't lock from the inside. I would have to go through my neighbor's yard to lock it, which doesn't make any sense. I asked the installers if they had another lock like the one on the front gate, but they didn't have it and said someone else would have to come back. I called the office again and asked if someone could come soon, but they said they don't reinstall locks. I requested to speak with the manager, but I haven't received a call back despite calling three times and leaving messages.
I paid $6480 to Sunrise for about 368' feet of 48'' tall 2 rail black aluminum fence with 3 gates
I paid $6480 to Sunrise for about 368' feet of 48'' tall 2 rail black aluminum fence with 3 gates. One of the gates had to be special ordered because of the incline in my yard. I understand that times are tough with COVID and all, but it's been 4 months and this could have been fixed right away. I haven't given Sunrise a review yet, but it depends on how they handle this situation.
Here's a timeline of what happened:
- On 4/21, I paid a 50% down payment of $3280.
- On 5/2, Sunrise installed the fence with 1-4 foot gate and 2-5 foot gates. However, due to the incline in my yard, one of the 5' gates couldn't be installed correctly. They said they had to special order it with an inclined bottom rail. In the meantime, they placed the fence post higher to keep the gate shut temporarily.
- On 5/4, I paid the remaining 50% of $3280.
- On 5/4, Sunrise said they would let me know about the angled gate once they hear back from the manufacturer. It could take a week or two.
- On 5/11, I asked for an update.
- On 5/11, Sunrise said the gate should be finished by the end of the week and they would confirm when they can install it.
- On 5/20, I asked for another update.
- On 5/21, Sunrise said they would talk to the supplier to see where the gate is.
- On 5/27, I asked for another update.
- On 5/27, Sunrise said the gate isn't ready yet due to the rain, but they will let me know when it is.
- On 6/11, I asked for another update and expressed my patience wearing thin since it was paid on 5/4.
- On 6/17, Sunrise said they would pick up the gate and schedule the installation.
- On 7/2, I asked for an estimated date for the installation.
- On 7/3, Sunrise said the gate is still not ready and they will be closed for the next week.
- On 8/1, a Sunrise employee showed up with the ordered gate without prior notice. The gate was ordered incorrectly, and he mentioned two options: ordering the correct gate or fixing the previous posts to align the gate correctly. He didn't have the equipment or personnel to do it that day, but someone should be back next week.
- On 8/10, I called for an update.
- On 8/11, Sunrise said the crew member needed to hang the gate is not working this week, but will be out to hang it when he returns.
- On 8/21, I sent an email to Sunrise stating that if the gate isn't fixed by the end of the month, I would report them to the ComplaintsBoard.com and leave a bad review. I haven't heard from them since.
