the [censored] warranty
I took my vehicle to get fixed that I just purchased. I talk to a rep over the phone and he told me what was covered, he also told service advisor over the phone all that was wrong is covered but before that Superior Protection wanted a break down of the engine and they still said it was covered, but still had to send a inspector. Now the service advisor told them everything that was wrong with ot over the phone was covered, but the I inspector gets out there, now its denied saying the engine over heated and preexisting conditions? Bull, you should've advised that. This company and all companies like this are fraud, scams and the devil!
Desired outcome: pay for my vehicle to be fixed!!
Extended warranty
Refuses clearly stated covered parts in contract. Mechanics have called and have told us the superior agents have said yeah, it should be covered but it's not because of corrosion/rust.
Our brake lines and junction box, among other things, have failed while driving, and they have refused to cover the repairs, as stated in the covered parts. Nothing in the exclusions section of the contract.
Car was being driven by my husband and our 3-year old when the brakes went out. But, superior says it's corrosion/rust, and if it was a mechanical failure, they'd pay for it.
The rear brakes were done in march 2020, our state inspection was in august 2020. Nothing at all mentioned.
What’s the process of using my warranty bc my car needs a wheel bearing replacement. What do I do?
I am an expert in the vehicle service contract industry and I think I can help you. First, I think your timing is good because the Massachusetts Attorney General just filed suit against Credit Acceptance Corp. (CAC) for unfair trade practices, including its involvement in the sale of its own vehicle service contract (VSC) program -- Superior Protection Plan -- through dealers to consumers (like you). If you live in Mass. contact the AG, if not, I'm sure your not the first person in your state to experience the same or similar problems with CAC and its VSC program.
By way of background, it is my understanding that CAC uses two "providers" (i.e., the party contractually obligated party to the consumer under the VSC to pay for all repairs), First Automotive/Dealers Alliance Corporation and Wynn's. I am much more familiar with CAC's First Automotive/Dealers Alliance program. Under that program, all loss reserves dollars (the money used to pay claims) are funded into a "reinsurance" company (known as VSC Reinsurance Company) which is 100% owned by CAC. This means that CAC keeps all profits from the sale of its VSCs after the contracts expire; therefore, it's easy to see the conflict of interest created when your lender -- CAC -- is also the party responsible for paying for all your repairs while hiding behind First Automotive/Dealers Alliance.
If your legitimate claim has been denied or not paid within 60 days, the contract tells you that you can file a claim directly with the insurer of your VSC. In the case of a First Automotive/Dealers Alliance contract, the insurer is Dealers Assurance Company (DAC) which just so happens to be owned by (Dealers Alliance Corporation) and affiliated with (First Automotive Service Corp.), as the administrator of your VSC Be sure to send all your info to the Ohio address of DAC and then raise hell with them about all of the deceptive and unfair trade practices and unfair claims handing of all parties. What you may find frustrating is that you will probably be dealing with all the same people (because they are all related).
If you still don't get the relief you want, then file a brief letter of complaint (and your other info) with the Attorney General's Office and Department of Insurance in your state. Your complaint to the AG should be filed against CAC, First Automotive/Dealers Alliance and DAC Your complaint to the Department of Insurance should be filed against DAC and First Automotive/Dealers Alliance. DAC may say you have to go to arbitration but you don't -- just keep raising hell (about deceptive trade practices and unfair claims handling) and you will get paid. In the car business, the squeaky wheel always gets the grease.
I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions, please post them here. Also, it would be very helpful if you could post a copy of your VSC (after you mark out your contract number, name and address - but don't mark out your city and state). This information will help me better understand any additional options you may have. Good luck!
auto warranty
I wish I had read these reviews before buying from Cascade Auto and financing through Credit Acceptance. Cascade Auto, In Falling Waters, WV, offered the Superior Protection Warranty Plan as a sales gimmick. When they saw I was hesitant to do the deal they 'sweetened the pot' by offering the warranty for the length of the loan. I took the bait. My vehicle now needs $12, 000 in repairs. They'll cover about $2000. I now am making payments on a big paperweight. The insurance coverage is a joke and if Cascade Auto was a credible dealer they would not offer such crap to their customers. I'm thinking Credit Acceptance will soon own a 2008 Ford f350 Super duty truck.
The biggest bunch of money robbing scheming [censored]! Will not pay for struts when I paid 1800.00 for the warranty! Approved it then denied the fix once we towed it to the place to be fixed! Do not waste your money on this crap!
hybrid battery not covered under warranty
This is a poor excuse for a warranty company just got off the phone with dealership and they said my 2010 Chevy Silverado hybrid battery was bad and they contacted the warranty company and they say they don't cover the battery it's 3700$ this is not right I had a friend there warranty company covered there's this is definitely not right so the battery in a hybrid is like the motor in a normal vehicle how is it not included in the warranty not even a partial coverage
A cvs axle and the cluster apparently is not mechanical either so no coverage here either,
service I received on phone call
Rep was very rude used words like running out of patience with me after i informed him i was new and was only getting information i was asked for i asked to speak with someone else and was told no and when i was saying i can change prices to match you guys prices he used words like you gonna have to which in my person opinion is horrible customer service...

My truck took almost 6 weeks. Problem was a bad fuel pump and knocking engine. A private mechanic, and also superior, both said the same, tear apart engine as well as new fuel pump and possibly needs a new engine. Should have been pretty simple, send a new engine, buy pump, get truck repaired. After they suggested to the dealer who was fixing it to tear it apart, the dealer said it needed a new engine. They insisted on sending out an adjuster. Then even tho it was their idea to check the engine, they said it was fine. Dealer put truck back together with new pump, check engine light was of course still on. So they told the dealer they had to tear the engine apart again, and tried to refuse the repair bill, that was then at $2200. Dealer tore it apart again, now both dealer and superior tell me it won't need an engine (which of course was a lie, I heard it knocking with my own ears, and so did my pen private mechanic). They decided to try some valve or some stupid [censored]. After another week or more, my truck is put together a second time. Check engine still on, dealer and warranty company now going back and forth about $, i'm being ignored when I call for updates. Finally when my truck had been at the dealer for almost 4 weeks, and after the truck is torn down for a third time, and another adjuster comes out, they say they'll send a new engine. A week later, it arrives. When dealer went to put it in, another part was found bad that connected oil pump to it. Not sure what that was, but it too had to be ordered, as apparently dealers are as bad as every other car parts store and have absolutely nothing in stock. Keep in mind too that the mechanic at the dealer was doing everything by now to get out of working on it, as he was getting frustrated with the warranty company too, and this made it even worse. If the warranty company had authorized a new engine as they damn well knew it needed the first time, no one would have gotten irritated, and their bill would have been much cheaper. So finally, over a month later, my truck is done. I get a call from the dealer, the warranty company is now saying they will. Not pay the $3600 labor charges, they think it is fraud, and supposedly I did not authorize the teardown. Lol. These [censor] sent the engine, which was who knows how many thousands, they [censored]in well knew I did! They were trying one last time not to have to pay. I almost had to get a lawyer, it was bad. I now plan to pay 2 more months on the vehicle then pay it off and drop that contract. Also, I have rental coverage, they refused to pay. I ended up having to buy an old scion tc for driving to and from work, as after 2 weeks the friend I borrowed a car from needed it back. Do not recommend. They need to be shut down.
what type of car do you have?
Vehicle service contract
Head gaskets clearly blown on my 2002 Ford F150. Roughly $1900 just for the tear down which I had to OK so Superior could send one of their inspectors to look at engine and evaluate. At the Ford dealership where my truck sits, according to technician, the inspector agreed that gaskets were blown and heads were not cracked or warped ( which would make my claim valid). Superior denied my claim, now saying that their inspector said gaskets were NOT blown and heads ARE cracked and warped (which would make my claim invalid). My policy states that I should be covered if gaskets are blown and heads are not cracked or warped. Conveniently, superior changed the finding to suit them. I have a 30 year veteran technician, a reputable FORD dealership, the parts, and photos to prove my case, and no leg to stand on. am filing a complaint with the NY Attorney General. BUYER BEWARE!
Cierto superior protection plan es una estafa no lo compres pague casi 3000 y al usar plan pusieron mil excusas termine yo pagando la mayor parte de la reparación no escuchen a los, dealer ventas sutos cuando lo ofrezcan es basura
Misleading plan, terrible customer service
I work for a used car lot who sold service contracts for this company, or should i say used to. We are unable to find a local shop to work with this company! One shop agreed and by the end of the claim refused to ever do any work for this company ever again. We got a different shop to give it a try with a different customers vehicle & upon trying to obtain payment the representative was rude, unprofessional and ended up hanging up on the mechanic.. Buyer beware, seller of these service contracts beware! What a joke! Ripoff ripoff ripoff
I work at a used car lot with a repair facility. We do about 7500.00 a week with this company, I have found they are the best paying. Just our experience with this company and I hate all warranty companys.

fuel pump
My fuel pump went on my 2006 dodge durango, it was a problem that was suppose to be fixed. I have found out that the repair shop that was suppose to do the repair, did not do the installing of a new fuel pump, patched the old one up and had me pay the 100.00 dollar deductible. Now I'm trying to get superior to fix the problem without paying the 100.00 again for a job that was not done the first time...

How did u manage to get this resolved to your satisfaction because I am getting nowhere
You should be mad at the shop, sounds like the warranty paid for the fuel pump once. Then the shop must warranty for 12mo/12000 miles, that is normal for a warranty co.
superior protection plan is a scam
superior protection plan is a huge scam. I advise any of you who are thinking about investing in this auto warranty to reconsider. I've had nothing but problems with my extended warranty.they will do everything in their power to get out of paying for a covered repair. It is not worth the aggravation of calling again and again getting the same answer because...
