Synchrony Bank All my synchrony bank accounts

I am trying to get pre-approved for a mortgage after the recent death of my husband. Over the course of a year they have reduced my credit limit everytime I pay a substantial amount on my accounts. This is making it look as if I have a high debt ratio. When they do this it drops my credit score. As soon as I get the score up it drops again. I am losing ground constantly. They don't call and they never send a letter. Please help me. My number is [protected] and my email is [protected]@outlook.com. Please please. Jody Fisher

Desired outcome: I want them to explain and but my credit limit back. I don't plan on ever using a account with them.

Synchrony Bank Synchrony credit card for ricoh 100 printer

Financed Ricoh 1000 shirt printer through synchrony bank. I was told I would finance $18K but then that amount got split into two separate credit card accounts for the same product with my name as the first account and my business partner as the second account. The merchant, Ricoma International, filed the paperwork correctly for my business partner to have the $18K financed with himself as the primary account holder and that I would be a co-signer. Now, Synchrony Bank is truing to pursue both of us for two separate payments when it should have been only one payment to my business partner. This has gone on my credit as a delinquent account because Synchrony Bank did not set up the account as we were told, and has created a separate credit card I never consented to. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible before I take further action.

Desired outcome: $18K onto one account and/or this account gets cancelled then processed according to what was promised.

Synchrony Bank jcpenney credit card

My name is Inas Matta, I have a synchrony credit card with jcpenney with an account ending in 6349 and my last four digits of my SS# 1137.

I have been a loyal customer for a long time and at one point, I used to be an employee working for JCpenney in Tracy, CA. I bought some items on deferred payment which now I understand what it means, and I was making bigger payments all along thinking that my payments will prevent you from charging me extra interest. I was wrong.

I never received any notices or emails or warning that my account was going to be subjected to the deferred payment interest. Here I am jobless and going through a divorce, I got hit by 1437.14 dollars in Interest and another 66 dollars in additional interest. I had to borrow the money to pay off all my balance afraid more chargers will be added. Please help me credit me back the Interest I paid. I was not informed. It is absolutely not ethical to prey on uneducated or poor people.

Synchrony Bank bp credit card

i have several accounts with this horrible bank if i knew this company will treat people like this i will never had used them
i use them for purchasing atv my bp credit cards and others
i have city and capital one and td bank i will stay with them they are respectful and they take care of you i had bp credit card for a while never missed a payment they return my payment to my bank saying they never receive it i knew they where a bunch of liars so i ask the bank t provide me proof the bank said they took it and sent it back next day for no reason
i snd payment again they did same and they charge me late fees after i just turn and look the other way i sent them a letter never reply to me and 3 weeks later they close my account with no reason i have good credit and i never miss a payment if they do something to my credit i will take them to court is about time some one does something about it, i see they are doing it to a lot of people they are just dirty deal with capital one stay away from this garbage company

Synchrony Bank Parkwest gallery card financed by synchrony bank

During a land auction at Parkwest Gallery their employee raised my paddle on a piece of artwork I expressed interest in . I went along somewhat reluctantly as I was uneasy about the sum of money. The same evening I tried to cancel with Parkwest Gallery and I was told all sales are final. I reached out to synchrony bank who finances the card and was told they cannot remove a preauthorization and only Parkwest can do so which I told them they were unwilling to cooperate in writing and verbally. Synchrony tell me by Friday May 7th the charge which is not yet posted would go away. This has not occurred and I continue to get conflicting actions from the bank. How can get a resolution ?

Synchrony Bank The new transition of chevron/texaco credit cards

After well more than an hour of trying to register all 3 of my newly issued gas cards by trying to login to my 10 years plus account, chatting with 2 different agents with different answers and trying 2 different 800 synchrony bank customer service numbers I finally close all 3 cards and their was and is no concern WHY. I have never dealt with so many incompetent representatives as with Chevron/Texaco and Synchrony Bank!

Synchrony Bank Closing of credit card

Synchrony has been going across the board closing my paid off account, stating too many revolving accounts with high balance compared to credit limit (not over credit limit either) lack of real estate secured loan information (why give if I am living in an apartment) too many bankcards with high balance compared to credit limit (again not over limit) unpaid collections (not true). Here we go now. They have been closing my account for lack of usage (they ever took the high road to say what is going on (I am not supposed to be alive getting over the virus, but I can't say this for other family members they are dead also, all the accounts they closed were paid in full. My credit report is lying (do I want to contact them and get this fix not now, trying to live). I have one card on my credit report set up to take the funds out they have not done so and each time I call and tell them this they report a lie. I have a loan and I contact them once I got sick my husband lost his job they worked with us as a matter of support they emailed me saying I can consolidate all my debt as of 4-2021. Doesn't bother me that they closed them I get it but you're closing them n your score is low it's 1.7 n it was lower than this a year ago.

Synchrony Bank Closing accounts: jc pennys and amazon

Both my JC Penny's and Amazon credit cards were just closed as of 04/15/21.
Neither card was delinquent in fact had just made the payments on both cards. The credit reporting agency indicated that both accounts payments have been paid 100% on time. Received a letter indicating that the accounts were closed for do to the possible risk of not paying on the accounts. I have had the JC Pennys card since January, 2020, yes the balance is high I used it to by gifts for great grand children because their mother's job was affected by the pandemic. But yet I kept the account current doing these uncertain times.
I don't know what else would show my credit worthiness especially with the pandemic is that of paying these accounts in time. That should tell you about
my credit integrity and character. I'm just sorry that who ever is making these decisions is not looking at the impact/results of their decision.

Desired outcome: I just want a note on my credit bureau that accounts were closed in good standard and continues to be paid as per contract.

OMG! So true! I guess they’re cleaning house of all the customers that aren’t making them any money! I just received a letter reducing my credit limit from $1, 000 to $620. My balance still owed is $600. Doesn’t that seem odd. I’m on deferred interest for 6 months, which they won’t make any money off me because it will be paid off by then. But they told me the same thing about “predicting my credit worthiness.” I can’t wait to wash my hands of this company.

Synchrony Bank City furniture card and others

I recently during the pandemic, had breast cancer, went into remission finally coming from this pandemic where we 're hardly hit. I immediately began taking care of any out due accounts, I have paid off quite a few accounts and paying on one. I arranged for them to take 500.00 out of my account in a two week periods, while doing that received a subpoena to appear in court on another account. Tried to take care of that and by the way think they went into my bank account without permission. I called to find out what was going on, and how to finish up taking care of some of these other charges, when I spoke to the most rudest collection a women name Kathy. I asked multiple times to speak to her supervisor and she kept speaking over her, only telling me that my time had elapsed on offer, she had no idea while I was calling and sent me to another caller, who transferred me to another line and disconnected me, waiting again. This is ridiculous, she refused to get me to a supervisor, really this is what we are doing right now. What do I have to do to speak to someone with a brain, on hold now for a manager, that was crazy...before I get any financing for anything if they say this bank is behind it, I'm immediately walking away from that business and will blast them for doing business with this company, unbelievable. I'm paying and others are suffering and I'm being responsible and you have the audacity to treat me this way...really, I will put you on every site.

Desired outcome: To see this company out of business, they are horrible

Perfect, chill. Stop and think. There is a saying that makes sense. Even bad publicity is good publicity. Your best retaliation would be to zero your account then close it and walk away. There is enough complaints on this review list to show what a consumer is letting their selves in for. Good luck

I was making payments on time and sycrony closed my account and now sent to a credit agency I never was told that my account was closed. Until I went to make a payment and couldn't login said account closed and I was making my payment on time this was I think about 2 half years ago don't

Synchrony Bank Unresponsive, difficult to contact regarding ongoing dispute

This has to be one of the WORST customer service experience I've ever had. In September 2020, I purchased a Nintendo Switch Lite through a 3rd party seller. I used PayPal Credit as the method of payment since it was the preferred payment method by the seller and I would be covered under their consumer protection policy. The confirmation email and contact info of the seller seemed shady so I contacted PayPal right away to cancel the order. They were unresponsive. Well, several weeks later I received a cell phone case from China, NOT a Nintendo device. I called customer service where the agent had told me the caller just before me had the exact same problem happen.

I tried to file a fraud complaint but that didn't go anywhere. My mistake; filed my complaint under the wrong umbrella. After properly opening a dispute on the charge, that's when communication broke down. I can't open secure messages from their site, the phone line is unresponsive (unless to collect payment), the fax number doesn't work, and there's no easy way to reach the department handling my dispute. Several times they tried to increase the amount owed although I wasn't due for my minimum yet. I can't open survey links sent to voice my concerns. I have no idea what the resolution of my dispute(s) was. When I chat with an agent about difficulty opening their correspondences, I'm met with "try again in an hour or two." I'm certain I won't get any reply except another call telling me I'm due for payment without any explanation to my case. This has been ongoing for over 6-months.

I will never use their service again and have no reservations about referring others to avoid all things PayPal Credit/Synchrony.

Desired outcome: Refund my account per protection policy

Synchrony Bank Rewards program

We use our credit card regularly and accumulate rewards points. The way the Sam's Club Business Mastercard works is that every March, all rewards point accrued over the past 12 months are redeemable either by cash or a credit towards a Sam's Club Purchase. In 2020, they stopped mailing out checks that were able to be cashed at Sam's Club and simply put the rewards on the account. You still need to go to Sam's Club to either get the cash rewards or use the credit towards a purchase.

Due to the pandemic, I have not been going to bricks and mortar stores and have opted to order online.

I called customer service to determine the amount of rewards available and much to my dismay, they advised that because I did not redeem the rewards I lost them as they expired in December 2020. I advised them of my reason for not visiting a bricks and mortar Sam's club and also advised them that I receive no notification that my rewards would expire.

I asked for an exception but they declined saying there was nothing they or anyone can do. Over $600 in rewards out the window.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome is to have the rewards reinstated on my account as I am now vaccinated and feel more comfortable going out in public.

Synchrony Bank Unauthorized credit lines open

I have been a Synchrony bank Gap card holder for 10 years
I went to use my card when out one day and I was told it didn't work, I checked my account when I got home to find out it had been closed. Confused since I have never missed or been late on a payment. I called synchrony bank and they told me they closed my card due to insufficient funds which again i do not understand since I have never been late and typically pay in full I decided to check my credit report and see if anything was on there.
Sure enough there was a collection agency that had a credit line debt of $7, 969
Knowing that since 2018 I have had alerts on my credit to call my phone number and my phone number only if credit was to try and be opened. I called and disputed this charge. They informed me that this account was opened in 2019 to a name not on my credit and to an address that has never been associated to my name and in a state my credit has never been associated with. This line of credit was opened through Synchrony bank on a Care Card that was used for Dental work.
I can go through the leg work of having this removed but that frustrating part is that Synchrony bank opened a bad line of credit on my social security with no correct information matching my credit report (name, addres, ect)
I was told by Synchrony bank that no humans do applications and that they are all issued through a virtual system. A system that apparently flags applications if there is more then one information field wrong. There was in my case but I was never notified. They told me that they notify the address that the applicate gives them, which as you can see is a problem because this address is fake and part of the fraud.
My address is in their system with my Gap Visa and on my credit report but yet they never sent a letter to the social security holding mailing address.
Synchrony bank does not protect its customers or any individuals from credit fraud and they don't care about closing down perfectly good lines of credit people work hard to establish based on their faulty systems and ability to open credit with no matching information.

Synchrony Bank Credit application denied

I recently applied for credit through Synchrony Bank on March 29, 2021. I was denied. My credit score is high enough and my income is sufficient. I called the credit bureau and was told that the lender makes the decision. So I called the Lender (Synchrony Bank). The customer service rep and the supervisor I talked to were very rude and did not help with my questions to get to the bottom of it. I asked if there was someone higher than the supervisor that could fully explain to me the process on how the acceptance or denial process goes. All he kept saying was it was the system. My next question was who implements the system? Again, no real answers. I asked to a phone number to the corporate office to file a complaint and no number was offered. I was given a P.O. Box in Orlando, FL but no one to ATTN it to. Once I got home to look up the corporate office, I found a different address in Stamford, CT. I feel the Supervisor was very rude and didn't really care about helping me resolve my issue.

Desired outcome: I would like for someone to go through the process with me on how they came up with the decision to decline my credit application

I was denied Rooms To Go financing through Synchrony for $3500 with a 733 FICO, 31% credit utilization, and a $120, 000+ income. I paid cash and Synchrony can go pound sand. I can't wait to get the letter explaining why.

Synchrony Bank Bill info

This is the WORST company I've ever had in my life! I bought couches for 2, 400$ last YEAR and I have been making minimum payments of 100$ and even a purchase of 200$ and 300$ and my payment are STILL 2, 400$! It has not went down and now saying I need to pay 130$ a month but 60$ is only going to the couches and the other amount is fees. Every payment I made did nothing. This company is a scam and takes advantage of people. I'am a single mother with a disabled child and lost my job last year do to covid virus and can't work or pay the bills I have.

This company won't work with me or take off any of the amount that I paid. I'm so devastated companies like this will take you for everything you have. I bought the couches for 2, 400$ and they want 5, 000 at once to pay it off even though there only 2, 400$ and the interest is 30%. Never go through this company! I payed over 1700$ and my payment has not went down! At this point they can have the couches back and leave me alone! They are nothing but cold hearted and need to be out of business and sued for taking advantage of people and false advertisement.

Desired outcome: I want a extension do to the cover virus and not pay double of couches I've already paid 1700$ and nothing went down! I will pay the 2,400 they already got me for almost 2,000 on top. I will get a attorney or lawyer if needed!

I have a Care Credit and Midas account for years and with no balance. They closed both accounts and the reasoning was because they can. What a horrible business practice and lousy customer service.

Synchrony Bank Synchrony Bank Charging a late fee for bills late because of COVID

I have been a customer of HSN for years. Synchrony bank collects funds for bills. This past year in the middle of COVID, I missed 2 months of payments. The bills never showed up, so I did not pay them. This was a common occurrence with all of my bills as the post office in my neighborhood was short on staff. I understand this to be the problem nationwide. Each time I got a bill, I called Synchrony and explained that I had just received it and that it was already late. I paid those bills by phone each month when I received them. I thought that creditors were not supposed to disparage customers who were late on their payments due to slow mail delivery. I am still waiting for cards and gifts from Christmas. As a result of this action, my credit score dropped 102 points. I made every effort to pay bills as they came in. I don't think I should be accountable for a loss of mail delivery service. THIS IS THE FIRST BILL I EVER PAID LATE, ever. Last year before this, my credit score was in the 800's. Now its 735. I don't believe this is fair treatment to a person who has had a lifetime of on time payments.

Desired outcome: Remove the 102 decrease in my credit score.

Synchrony Bank The closing of all my Synchrony Accounts

Again I am writing another complaint against this company. The have recently closed another one of my cards with no letter. They say it's in the mail. At the beginning of last year when Covid started and people were going on unemployment everywhere my family was lucky enough to keep working. So our income didn't change, my payments were made and my credit score DID NOT CHANGE! I monitor my credit very closely. In may we bought new furniture and then in June of 22020 they started with closing our furniture card that we just spent $2500 on. With no warning. After calling them and getting no where I continued to make the payments. Then they closed a tire card, then another and another and so on. They have closed all my cards with them. So now because they closed my one card last June which effected my credit score, and they said it wouldn't, well how could it not! They are closing an acct. So now I went from 750 score to below 500 and it's completely Synchrony doing! Everything was fine, none of my info had changed until they decided to close my accts. We were also in the starting process of buying a home then this happened with Synchrony and the bank pulled out! BECAUSE IF SYNCHRONY! So my family now can't rent a home if we wanted and can't buy a home now! I agree that it might be time for some legal action towards Synchrony, but I have no idea how to go about that.

Synchrony Bank My synchrony accounts

June last year synchrony closed accounts with no reason, stated because they did a credit review, my credit score was the same as when I opened the Accts, 675 to 690. They closed accounts and my credit score plummeted, and synchrony told me it wouldn't effect my score, how is that possible. It's impossible to close them by the creditor and not have a consumers credit rating go diwn. So now when I get a credit review by other creditors they are going to see it not as good as it was before synchrony just closed them. so now my credit score is so poor it affects me buying a house, employment. I was in the process of buying a home when they decided to do this and lost our house because of this reason! And I can never actually find anyone in USA to talk to that I can understand!

You made it impossible for us to buy a home, and now are struggling to find some where that we can rent, because our credit score sucks now thanks to synchrony bank! I hope your all happy living in your fancy homes and never have to worry about a thing!

They have really hurt consumers! I need it fixed or an explanation as to why! I never missed a payment and paid more then due. It makes no sense!

Desired outcome: Compensation for all the extra money we are spending for having to pay more to rent a home because they ruined my chances of buying a home

I just posted my story but basically Synchrony bank opened a line of credit in my name under a name and address not associated with my credit and our social security
I had alert and flags on my credit when they opened this new line of credit,
It was clearly fraudulant which they failed to see (I don't know how) and because that was not paid they closed my Gap Visa line of credit that I have always paid on time and in full or a large amount.
I would never had a negative on my credit if they did their job in the first place.
They legit have nothing they can do or say for me, it just is.
I loose out on a line of credit and I have to go through the leg work of getting collection agency's off my back and police reports filed yet they walk away saying sorry that happened.
I am ready to file a class action lawsuit with whomever is ready.
This is crippling

It’s time for a class action lawsuit against Synchrony. They’ve done this to so many consumers and cause us tangible harm by destroying our credit ratings. I know tell EVERY business I deal with about the genuine harm Synchrony inflicts on consumers and will NOT open any new account with them. (Why would I want a hard pull on my credit score that Synchrony ruined only to have them destroy it further?) Just last week, I needed an emergency car repair and took it to Mavis Tire, where I used to have a Synchrony Account. The clerk wanted to know if I was going to use my Synchrony account (apparently, he could see that I used it just before Synchrony screwed me). I told him NO WAY and shared with him what Synchrony does to good customers. He was stunned - I pointed him to this and other sites as exam. I’m sure he’ll have second thoughts abought referring people to Synchrony on the future.
