SHAME ON TD! On July 30, 2023 I attempted to purchase two tickets for the band Mammoth (Eddie Van Halen’s son) instead, when I checked out, TicketMaster (TM) gave me the Q code to some other band (Alter-Bridge) that was playing on the same night at the same place: Hollywood Parks and Casino at Penn National Race Course on Saturday August 5th. As soon as I saw the error (not on my behalf) I notified TM immediately and explained the glitch on their app. I even offered to just transfer and credit me the $130 towards Mammoth and I would pay the difference. TM wouldn’t help me at all so I turned to TD Bank wherein I used my debit card. They opened an investigation and over the past three and a half months, TD has denied my claim twice despite the overwhelming evidence. I’ve been banking with TD for 18 years and they have chosen to not to honor a legitimate claim with all its evidence and supporting documentation. I can’t express how disappointed and frustrated I am with TD over $130. This isn’t as much about the money as it is the principle. A big bank siding with another big corporation over a middle class guy who just wanted to take his son to a concert. We never ended up going because of TM which is another complaint itself. Shame on TD. Don’t expect support regarding any claim from this Mega Bank.
Desired outcome: A written apology acknowledging the legitimacy of my claim and $130
