poor customer service experience
Out of all of the 15 years of my family going to this particular location. This is by far the worst experience we ever had. Our waitress was new and seemed very friendly. We ordered an appetizer of different wings. Came out undercooked. So we had to wait a little bit longer for a reorder. Ordered one Strawberry Henny. And it was good. But after we received our first order of water beverages, we had to wait for a very long time for a refill since our waitress was ignoring us.
My wife was so upset, so I requested the manager. She was wearing clothing that wasn't appropriate for a restaurant manager representing your brand. But she was going to talk to her employee about that. Offered us two free vouchers for an appetizer or a dessert. Also deducting the appetizer off our bill and a Free Strawberry Henny refill.
Well our waitress didn't do anything. I never received my second Strawberry Henny. To add insult to injury. I was charged for my undercooked appetizer and 2 Strawberry Hennys instead of one. Will be thinking twice on going back to that location. So Angry and Upset.
birthday celebrations
I was at Friday's today to celebrate my 9 year old son birthday, and I asked the waitress if they could sing for my son since today is his Birthday. She said can no longer sing but they can provide an ice cream which we agreed to. So she brings the ice cream and everything was okay until she comes out with an ice cream and a candle, right in front of my whole family and sings happy birthday with a candle which she clearly told she couldn't sing but she could provide a ice cream. The same waitress provided both services which did leave us wondering why she did What she did. My son started crying because he didn't get sung to. She apologized but it wasn't enough, it was immensely offensive. The servers name was Jade
food
I went in to the Sterling heights location on Tuesday while visiting in Michigan, the service was very poor staff was unpleasant food had been sent back 3 times still no resolution ask to speak to a manager was told went home for the day after spending almost $100 in food and drinks for my anniversary that was ruined I feel someone should fix this problem please take under consideration to speak to management as well as staff thank you
How do I begin to write about my family and my horrible experience at this restaurant? (Sterling Heights, Michigan on Van [censored]) I so wish I had read the reviews on TripAdvisor before making the choice to dine here. We were actually going next door to the Coney Island but they were closed and we were hungry just coming from a viewing of my deceased nephew and just needed food before retiring (party of 10). It was after 10 pm on a Saturday night of July 7th. Chris was the manager on duty. The food took an hour before it started coming out and there was one problem after another. It was almost unbelievable! Our waiter Anthony was doing his best to satisfy our table but the food service was so bad we had to ask for the manager. We seemed to be the only table in the restaurant so I don't understand what the trouble with the kitchen was but something had gone terribly wrong back there. Never in my life have I encountered such poor customer service skills with the manager when we begin to complain. He didn't even apologise to us for the missing food, uncooked rice, food cooked with missing ingredients until I further complained to Anthony who finally said to the manager that he owned us an apology. Specifically, my sister received her steak overcooked missing the shrimp and potato, my friend's portion of salmon was half and the rice was not even cooked, avocado missing from another order, shrimp missing marinara sauce on sizzle platter that had long lost its sizzle. When my fried ordered a replacement meal for the salmon the steak was undercooked still running with blood. The manager argued with him that it was cooked perfectly. He may have cooked it himself since he brought the dish out with blue plastic gloves on. When I looked back in the kitchen earlier I only saw Chris where the cooks would be. My friend dared to order another meal and just went without. Service was so bad I asked the manager to write down everything that needed to be corrected because the list was long. To add insult to injury a 20% discount was offered. I was furious and asked for 50% off since that was the percent of things missing or totally screwed up. I asked for the manager's manager and was given the number to the restaurant when I immediately called. When I talked to Chris again he called his general manager Tony but when he got off the phone he said his manager agreed with him. I could not believe the way we had been treated so I refused to pay the bill and asked the manager to call the police. That was a big mistake because the manager also accused me of threatening him. We did have words outside while waiting for the police and I lost my cool but I did speak the truth. This manager needs to find work that does not involve customer service because he lacks basic empathy and the skills necessary to run a restaurant. Honestly, this one needs to be closed down. I cannot believe Friday's restaurant allows this branch to continue to operate. The situation was more that I could bear so I paid the bill and resolved to take up the matter with corporate. Then, the police arrived and I showed them the paid bill. If it weren't for Anthony confirming I never threatened the manager the night could have ended way worse than it did. From what I have read here and my own experience this restaurant needs to be shut down!
service
Me and my children went to the TGI Fridays located at Westfield mall in Joliet there was only about five tables of people in the entire restaurant but we waited 20 minutes to be seated after we were seated the waitress kept walking by and telling us she would be with us soon after another 20 minutes of sitting she finally came to us to take orders when we asked about the five dollar appetizers we were told that we had to sit in the bar area to get that so we were then relocated to another table near the bar area and then give another server which we had to wait another 20 minutes for that server to come to us all of the tables around us were not cleaned up and sat there full of food and garbage the entire time we were there we did not get to place an order for food for over 45 minutes our server never came back to our table after our food was served to provide refills on drinks or even to bring our bill I had to hunt down our server to ask for bill which he finally gave me and before I can hand him my credit card he walked away I then had to hunt him down again after waiting 10 minutes to pay my bill I have never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant it would be understanding if there was a lot of customers in the restaurant was busy but that was not the case I would like to add that the manager that was on staff I spoke to and she apologized however as we sat at our table with all the dirty tables around us she said a few tables away reading a book and eating I thought that was very unprofessional
On Saturday Sept. 15th I was at the Rain Forest Café inside Sheraton Hotel in Niagara Falls, NY at lunch time. My friend and I were wanting nachos and AS I ALWAYS DO... asked the bartender and a hostess ...WHICH PLACE has better nachos...them OR TGI ...that
They both reluctantly noted that TGI did. I thanked them and proceeded right next door... I was ignored by ALL EMPLOYEES and it was NOT VERY BUSY. There were plenty of OPEN tables but as I looked over the menu( that was given to me by a girl in the back side of restaurant ) I was AT BAR SO I could place order there. I MUST NOT HAVE looked hungry or the female bartender COULD NOT BE BOTHERED...2 OTHER EMPLOYEES ALSO walked passed. Us and NOBODY SAID ANYTHING TO US in the 9 minutes we waited so we left there and popped back to tell Rain Forest employees what just took place and they were very apologetic. But we went to Seneca casino instead. We came back hours.LATER to get dinner as we had never been to TGI before and I WANTED to see a manager to inform them of our BAD experience. ..In the end I T WAS ALL FIXED BY the manager on duty. One of the best meals we both ever had for SURE! I think her name was Amy... She was AWESOME AND MADE US FEEL MUCH BETTER...WE WILL RETURN! Thank you!
restaurant
Restaurant was disgusting staff was rude food didn't come. I got there at 7:45pm Sunday night at the TGI Friday's in Tinley Park 191st and Harlem on Sunday July 8th .. when I walked the young didn't set me and my girlfriend where we wanted to sit.. The restaurant was very hot inside, smelled so bad! The floors & all the empty tables were filthy! The staff was just hanging around on there phones, the male staff had there underwear showing and there paints hanging off there behind ! I had to leave the resturant at 9:00, because I start my shift at 10:00. (For the cook county sheriffs dept.) we ordered at 8:15pm ( A HALF AN HOUR AFTER WE SAT!) we sat there in this disgusting smelly restaurant till 8:50! Still no food! We got up and told the 3 girls just hanging out at the door that we have to leave! "It's been over an hour and still no food." One of the girls started to laugh? One of the other girls said, " "don't come back then bye!" I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again ! Probably never eat at another TGIfridsys period! I'm really hoping this restaurant shuts down & leaves my tow
horrible customer experience at the bar
By far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant/bar, Fridays on 86th and Keystone. The bartenders are all equally uninterested in the quality of sevice had by patrons. There is NO engagement, one gentleman with a beard spends more time on his cell phone than checking back with paying customers. I assumed my first experience was a fluke, but they are consistent. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates a good, or even a subpar, customer experience.
The food was good, however I refuse to frequent an establishment with such gross negligence of basic customer service.
Management should revisit basic expectations and training.
food/waiter
So for starters when I get to TGI Fridays the waiter takes a while to take our order so while he is rushin he gives me a pen and a piece of paper and told me to write down what I want An he can just put the order in when he comes back, that was strike one. On top of that the food was not good burger didn't taste like it was done. Then lastly, I pay for my food which was in a separate booklet as the person I was with, he comes back with a receipt showing that he charged my card for both orders, which how he could do that I don't understand An didn't even explain what he did he just said sign it and your money will go back on the card, but no I wasn't signing that receipt. Worse service I ever had in my life, I never been to a place where they tell you to write down your order I should've just left then.

service
While at the Friday's located on Reisterstown rd, I experience service that was HORRENDOUS. The food was not as advertised and there were Kraft singles on top of my Sizzling chicken and cheese. The manager of this establishment, in an attempt to rectify the situation, only made matters worse. He proceeded to defend the innappropriate manner of which my food was served. I have been a return customer of this restaurant for over a decade and I no longer wish to support an establishment that has such disregard for accurate advertisement and a lack of managerial expertise. This will be the last time I EVER come to this restaurant and I will also spread the word to all of my acquaintances to avoid such a disgrace of food service. I will also be posting and blogging publicly on my social media sites to warn my 109, 000 followers of this detrimental encounter at Friday's.
Good day
Wow! Lol, that is pretty lame. I wouldn't have eaten or paid for that disaster.
privacy of data
I went to TGIF Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, India on 25-06-2018. To avail an offer I had given my number to a waiter named Vinay so he could check the validity of my coupon code. Later that night, I get a text from an unknown person who mentions he saw me at TGIF. The only sensible way I can tell he got an access to my contact number as well as name is through the waiter 'Vinay'.
Now, as far as I can recall, TGIF promises not to share our personal data with anyone. So, I want an answer from TGIF and want TGIF to take an action against this and go through the root cause of this problem.
Thank you.
I am complaining about the slow service at the bournemouth branch
We visited the bournemouth branch on saturday at 11.45 and the service was so slow the restaurant was pretty empty and we were one of the first families to arrive and at least 6 tables got there food before ours we had one drink as we just couldn't get the attention of the waiter - the waiter we did have was a lovely guy really happy but he just didn't have any support the meals arrived and my husband had a double burger and it was like rubber and had a big hair in it - we use tgis regularly and it's always amazing but this trip was unenjoyable and left without even ordering deserts as it was just to slow we got there at 11.45 and left at 1.30 even to pay the bill I had go to the bar and find someone when we were leaving as I needed to pay by card - we paid £70 and it wasn't worth it.

entire meal
My?father and I went to the Friday's in Harrisburg Pa. My father had steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Steak was like rubber and the mashed was cold. I had a cheese steak, no sauce and fries. The sandwich had sauce and the meat was tough and the fries were greasy and limp. We informed the server and manager and was offered a replacement, which we declined because it had taken a half hour to get our food and I had to get back to work. So for $48 we had a quarter of a sandwich, a couple limp fries and broccoli. I have worked in the restaurant business for 33 years and would never have allowed my customers to leave hungry and pay for garbage. Terrible food and customer service! Won't be going back
customer service
I went to TGIF located at 3181 Harkness Ave Brooklyn, NY 11235.
We were seated at a table for between 15-20 minutes before the waitress arrived to take our orders.
The appetizers came out after a short time but guess what, how can I serve my 5 year old without any utensils?
Not only no utensils were given to use but I had to wait almost another 15 minutes to get the glass of water I politely asked for. I know you are probably going to say this happened because it was so busy but I have been to this establishment before when it was extremely busy and I had much better service .
The waitress only came by once to see of everything was ok but by that time we had to seek assistance from the other waiters.
When I asked for the check the total was $67.89 let's just say $68.00 I gave her $80.00 and waited for another 30 minutes for my change just for the waitress to come ask me if I'm waiting for my change it's only $7 when I told her yes I am waiting for my change she says it's like $7 or $8 dollars she will be sure I get it.
First of all my change was like $12 and if the service I received was like every other time I've been there maybe I would have said keep the change with np but the service was horrible and this waitress made me feel like I was doing something wrong by waiting for my change.
I am a firm believer in tips but good service should always be provided no matter what and in this case I left the change for her but I not happy with service today.
Please provide a little more ICARE training to the TGIF team to keep loyal customers happy.
Thanks
take out food was horrible
Very disappointed with this take out food and was on hold for 10 mins never got a chance to speak to a manager! Sizzling chicken and shrimp does not look like this and i didn't order that small [censored] Cajun chicken! Very disgusted with my food! look at the pictures and the video! I am pregnant and was looking forward to having a good taking out dinner to watch the basket ball game! The chicken was not done all the way through as well
slow and poor customer service
TFGI Friday's #1917. 6/6/2018 . Guest #20030. Server - Michael.
Arrived at lunch with 2 other friends. It was at very busy noon lunchtime but we only have one hour for lunch. We work in the offices next to the restaurant. I ordered a Million dollar salad with no chicken, no bacon, add shrimp. My salad arrived after both of my friends food. When it came to the table it had chicken on it and it was returned so that the chicken could be taken off. The server stated "I thought I asked for no chicken but I guess I didn't". He did not seem very concerned. The salad returned 5 minutes later. There was still a piece of chicken in the salad. Seriously? I realized there was no dressing and waited for the server to return. Seven minutes later the server returned and I asked for dressing. Another 5 minutes went by before the dressing was brought to the table. In the meantime, my friends were finished with their lunch. I decided to take it to go as I did not have enough time remaining to eat at the restaurant. It took another 10 minutes to get our bills and pay. We arrived at 11:55 AM and did not leave until 1:20 PM. The time on the bill is 1:04 so it took 16 minutes just to wait to pay for a lunch I was not able to eat at the table. I now wish I would have left it as I am not really interested in eating it for dinner after my very poor experience. The server offered to talk to the manager but I don't believe he did as a manager never came to talk with me.
This was unacceptable all the way around. I would like a refund. My bill was $16.47
customer service/management
The perks of the rewards. The past 2 times I came my points wouldn't take when trying to add them. I saved my receipts because on the app and receipt it clearly states "please see your server for assistance" as well as "please keep receipts until you have verified the credit has been issued" today I called a to go order in made sure I had my receipts with me went in explained the issue the bartender got the manager "Kit" he tried resolving the issue he went back and forth with me about I should call the 1800 number but in the end he ended up adding the points after adding the 69 points manually I stated that I would use them to pay for my food his response "see there ya go that's even better" someone comes over I click the reward for 100 points for a free entree the manager them comes back and says I couldn't use it on the 2 grill options and which I have a couple times before but at this point I'm already hungry and irritated and my food is cold so I said "ok there's not a problem with me purchasing the food I'm just ready to go" he says ok I also let him know 100 points have been deducted because I already claimed the reward and he responds " yea just hold on to the receipt and call the 1800 number" he never gave me my other receipts back that I took in that had an $8 off coupon on there seeing that I was just there 2 days ago and did a survey. He never suggested that I just use that or anything. I left there feeling judged. Him and his employees felt as if I probably just wanted to get over it couldn't afford my food and basically just did not want to let me use those rewards that i earned because of the money that i spend in this establishment WEEKLY! It's not right to make people feel like that. I'm very upset and hurt. I always eat here and never have problems but today Kit did an awful job in customer service and left a very bad taste in my mouth. I didn't even eat my lunch but I was too embarrassed to take it back.
service complaint
We are visiting New York from Philippines and we ate at your branch 5th avenue near rockefeller center and it took 50 minutes for our orders to be served set aside the server didn't even informed us what was happening, then when we ordered additional sauce for the ribs, we already finish eating and the sauce didn't arrived, we called up the attention of the manager and she only said that the ticket on our order didn't arrived downstair on their kitchen and she even had raised her voice on us
drink
I was in your restaurant Friday May 11, at 10pm having dinner with wife and son.Toward end of dinner I odered a beer and had a glass of water. As I'm eating the ice out of water I notice the ice being unusually hard.I started staring at my wife. She says whats wrong.I then pull out two pieces of ice I had broken in my mouth.Which I then recall swallowing something a bit hard and jagged earlier, but didn't think anything of it.The waitress comes over and says she is going to show the manager.I said no, have him come out here.My sons says that must have been the glass i heard breaking when we came in.Manager comes, and apologizes and offers to pay for meal.I said no.I didn't want people thinking im trying to get a free meal.He apologizes again and leaves.I have a little puncture on my tongue but, not that serious.I googled it and swallowing glass is not fatal unless it it larger and jagged.I just wanted to leave and did not want to get my wife all nervous.
The waitress brings the check, $52 .I give her $70, she ask if I want my change.?!I I still tip her.
At this time my tongue is exploring my front teeth and there is a chip in it, but not a huge deal.I think I'm more concerned about if someone else's blood came with that broken ice and would i possibly get an infection on my tongue.Im also concerned that the waitress ask me if i wanted my change under the circumstances.
ripped off
My friends and I are visiting from England, yesterday we walked from the top of Central Park all the way downtown to see the Statue of Liberty, as we had such a long walk we came across TGI Fridays, we thought we would stop off for a refreshment being a bottle of corona. The bar man then gave us the 3 bottles whilst talking us into buying Bacardi lemon shooters to put inside the bottle ( I am never talked into anything) but this particular barman would not let it go until all 3 of us bought the shooters. Not once did he mention the price. As a bar owner myself I am all for upselling products to customers but also mentioning the cost at the same time to me is courteous. When the bill came for these 6 drinks which we drank in less than half an hour as we were very thirsty came to a staggering $56, which even for New York prices is very very expensive, to add insult to injury he kept the change, leaving myself and my friends very angry and basically ripped off.
As this has happened I will never step into a TGI Fridays again, unless we can resolve this problem.
Many thanks
service
On May 3, 2018 my wife and I visited the TGI Fridays in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. prior to our attending a showing of The Phantom of the Opera at Shea's Performing Arts Center which is just across the street. I made an online reservation for 6:15 p.m. and we arrived at 6:10 and were promptly seated. We sat for ten minutes before an individual walking by said that he would be right with us. Five minutes later a different individual came and took our drink order. We waited almost ten more minutes for the drinks to come and when they did we placed our food order which included an appetizer along with our entrees. Twenty minutes passed and no appetizer. Shortly after, a waiter came and told us that the appetizer was still cold, as it had been frozen, so he sent it back to the kitchen. We told him to forget the appetizer and said we would like our entrees as we had tickets to a 7:30 p.m. show. Our entrees came out ten minutes later, at 7:05 p.m. however, even though my wife ordered the sirloin and shrimp and I said that I would have the same, my wife's plate had no shrimp and my plate had no broccoli. So, we waited five more minutes for those. Needless to say, we had to rush through our dinner in order to make the show. The people at the table behind us asked the waiter for their check without receiving their meals. The waiter told them that he could make them "to go". Those people were insulted by that suggestion. You can't eat a meal in a theatre while watching a play. As we rushed out the door my wife asked the host if there was a problem in the kitchen. He replied "I'm not allowed to say". My wife and I don't get to enjoy many nights out and what we hoped would be an enjoyable evening was ruined by absolutely horrible service at TGI FRIDAYS.
I am complaining about the services provided
I ordered the same plate of steak, however one of them is bigger and thicker than the other, i ask the restaurant manager to tell me why that happened, but unfortunately he started defending and said i am worng and start raising his voice till all attendees noticed that. Also he said you never visited our restaurant eventhough i did many times. He insisted not to serve me agian and he took the plate.
