Our school desperately needs acknowledgements of orders made using the school VISA card. We need the receipt to simply show the bill and that it was paid using VISA XXX. We get our credit card statements and match them up -the packing slips spoken about below do not have this info - only item name and price no indication that the item was paid for using VISA...is there a receipt we should be seeing in our Account history - some sort of ackowledgement of order? We haven't received any - only a history of past orders - a listing of the books in each order no acknowledgement that the item was paid for using the School VISA card.
If this cannot be resolved the library will no longer order from Book Depository as we need receipts for our VISA statements.
This is some of the correspondence received:

Hi Ingrid,
Each order will come complete with a packing slip; this also doubles as a receipt. We are unable to provide tax invoices or substitute or add to the details provided on receipts. We are registered for business to consumer sales, and not business to business transactions. The document supplied contains our name, address, VAT details, and a breakdown of the items purchased. These are the details required for a business to consumer distance sale.
Sorry we could not be of any further help in this matter.
Kind Regards,
Candice,

It's pretty staggering that this basic functionality is missing. The year is 2018. I manage a company of software developers and we all go through a lot of books - and I won't be getting them from the Book Depository if I can't even get invoices for my company credit card. I guess they don't want any corporate customers.
I need a tax invoice for the books I ordered via Book Depository to get a refund from my employer, and it seems they are unable to provide it. I can imagine many people buy books for their businesses and it is a serious problem. I wouldn't even think that a big company can sell products without issuing invoices. Customers should be at least informed that "BookDepository is unable to issue tax invoices" before submitting the order.
That is exactly my problem as well. When ordering I was asked about both shipping address and billing address. Why any company would ask for a billing address if they don't issue invoices in the first place? That was totally misleading and I think it is done deliberately. Shame, luckily I ordered only 3 books from Book Depository.
Tax evasion? Is that the play from Book Depository? Why would they not make any invoices available if not.
I'm sending a complaint to the authorities, and I invite you all to do the same. This needs to be investigated.
Same thing happened to me. I need an invoice or receipt with the Billing Address I indicated when ordering. Nothing, they simply refuse it. Can anyone tell me how to make a complaint to authorities?
Thanks
