I was receiving unemployment insurance up until the week ending 8/29/20, in which the initial 26-week claim had expired. I never received the automatic extension and have been waiting ever since. After continuously calling day after day, all day long, I finally spoke with a rep who told me my case would be escalated to a special department for further assistance. That was around mid October, 3 months later no word. Finally got in contact with a rep on 1/20/21 and was told I had to file a new claim online, which did not go through due to "identity verification" issues. Not sure what the issue is since all my information is exactly the same from my previous claim. I'm now being told that my claim will be escalating to a special department once again and the processing time may take up to 8 weeks, which would mean it's been 7 months since I received any payment. I understand we are in a pandemic and the system and workers are overwhelmed, but this is completely unacceptable. At this point I'm not sure who to turn to, who do I need to contact to get remedy?

The UI System gave me a message more than a month ago that I Claimed Going Back To Work, which I have not, Nor Have I Claimed To Do So. I haven't received either payments or notifications in over 3 months now. However I Did Answer YES to taking Training about twelve weeks ago, & that's when this problem started. That company was not paying a salary, so I never received any monies from them. After the week of training I didn't get any pay at all, nor did I get paid for the training.
*PLEASE HELP*, As I cannot ever reach anyone by phone, what else do I need to do? I don't get anything in the mail either from NJ UI

My name is richie and I am a contractor for sherdel moving company which operates out of hillside new jersey. I went to the warehouse in hillside on the 15th of october to go and get materials needed for a move which I was embarking on at 10 am in the morning.
On getting there, I backed up the truck to the dock and I went to the front office to inform them about the items. A supervisor by name jonathan was informed and immediately he call three of his coworkers to assist me in getting the items. What baffled me was the way he was talking down on them.
He literally went up to one of them (african american) and told him to hurry up and that if hes not through in the next 6 mins he would be sent home.
I was shocked because I have never seen such disrespect before. As soon as I spoke to the man, he said that is how he is and he is used to it and he said he has complained but nothing has been done. He further informed me that the supervisor is a mini god and that whatever he says has to be done. I was shocked and appalled. I told him to continue to bear with it that I will surely report him because no one should be subject to such manner of disrespect, moreover he is just a supervisor and should not be talking ruthlessly to his coworkers

I was claiming my unemployment back in July 2020 on my iphone. However, I was rushing and made the biggest error and answered a question incorrectly that was obvious it was an error. My last payment from unemployment received was 7/11/20. I received an email to let me know it was conflict in my question that was answered. I immediately corrected the form they sent me and was told it would hear back in about 4 wk. I waited 6wks, then called to check the status and was told I had to wait another 2wks.I waited that 2wks and called back twice before I was told it was going to be escalated to another team. I was then told I will have to wait another 2wks for that team to respond. I waited 3wks and called back today and now I am told I have to wait at LEAST4 wks and was told by the csr"look at the bright side you will be getting all that back pay". WOW, really. I have not been paid since 7/11/20, with a three yr old child who needs things and thats the bright side. What about my day to day survival. My bill collectors does not care about the bright side. This is crazy...

I recertifed his claim 7-7-20 my claim is still pending everytime I call they've been rude! They all should be fired! People need their benefits they are working so they don't know how it feels to have your utilities off and how your going to feed your family the state need to monitor their rude behinds and make them quickly file customers claims
My claim was approved, but no money ended up in my direct deposit account!
My unemployment claim due to my furlough/Covid status was filed and approved on 5/8/2020. To date, I have NOT gotten any money. Nothing has been deposited in my direct deposit account. Nothing. I am out about $5, 500.00.
AND...this week, I tried to claim my benefits twice at my appointed online time slot and to my surprise, now it says my certification can not be processed and I should call my reemployment call center.

I have filed on 5/19, 5/26, 6/02, 6/09, 6/12 each with confirmation
numbers emailed to me.
And I "tried" but failed on 6/19 & 6/20. This one told me to call my
reemployment call center.
Problem is nobody answers the phone. I have tried over the last month, calling six times daily... I have emailed, used their online portals, contacted my State Assembly person, the State Police, Attorney General and others.
In the meantime, I have gotten NO payments. I need the money.
Whatever you can do would be super.

I was working as a temporary employee for the Dept of Human Services in Edison. I live in Fords. I was laid of on March 17 by Governor Murphy's order and I applied unemployment. I received a check for $650 covering the end of March and I haven't received anything since. After sending several complaint letters because the system would not let me certify my claim I was told to reapply. I reapplied and I received a notification for a phone interview for May 18 at 1:40. I was sitting by for an hour and they never called. I sent a complaint form to the unemployment office and to Governor Murphy's office with no response. I reapplied for a third time still with no response. I sent a email to Senator Booker on Monday with no response. Please look into this situation. I am getting desperate. My stimulus check would have helped some but I haven't received that yet.

This will be the third time I contacted your office concerning my Unemployment benefit. I was working as a temp for the state of NJ and I was laid of on March 17 by order of Gov Murphy and I applied unemployment. I received a check for $650 covering the end of March and I haven't received anything since. I sent a complaint form to the unemployment office and to the Gov Murphy's office with no response. I reapplied for a third time still with no response. I have been in contact with a lawyer.

I am trying to update my password
Iam trying to reapply for unemployment. i have not received any unemployment payments since the beginning of April and that was for the last 2 weeks of March because I was laid off ddue to the paandemic on March 1t by order of Gov Murphy.
There is a problem with my secret question answers and I am trying to correct them but the system will not let me. I cannot reapply for unemployment without therm because I cannot get into the labor board to update my password and reapply. The labor board is not paying on my claim with no explanation. I tried calling but you get a message saying that due to the pandemic they are not taking calls and the phone disconnects.

This is the second time I will be sending this complaint. I was laid off on March 17 by order of Gov. Murphy because I wan an unessential employee. I worked at the Office of Human Services in Edison for Apidel Technology . I applied for Unemployment that day and received a payment of $650 for the last 2 weeks of March issued on April 8. I verified my benefit for the next 2 weeks and the system said the claim was not payable. Now the system will not let me certify my claim. The system originally said I was eligible and I have for $3433 a week and I have approximately a $8, 500 balance. I have been trying to call the New Brunswick office for Middlesex County for weeks and I and the message says there are too many callers and the phone disconnects no matter what time I call. I am in desperate need for the payment and I want to know why my claim is not being processed?

Unemployment due to the coronavirus
I worked for Apidel Technologies at the Department of human Services in Edison. I was laid off on March 17 due to Gov Murphy's order for non essential employees too be sent home. I unemployment claim was approved and I received a check for $650 covering wages from 3/17 through 3/28. I have been certifying my status every week and I always get a confirmation. I have not received another payment since. This week the system would not let me certify my status and it said to call the unemployment for my county. I have been calling the New Brunswick office several times a day and the answering machine says the are too many callers and to call back. I would like to know why my claim was approved and why I am to receiving payments. Attached are the last 2 acknowledgements that i received that I haven't been paid for yet.

I was scheduled for a phone appointment with NJ Dept of Labor Unemployment at 10:40 am today. They called me and I answered the phone, and the fellow on the line asked if he could transfer me to another line and I said okay. When he did, it was a fax line which was giving out a loud fax transmission signal. I stayed on the line regardless figuring he would pick it up but he didn't and it then went to a fast busy signal and hung up.
Therefore, I never got to speak to him and don't know what the outcome of my eligibillity for benefits is. My claimant id no is [protected]. In addition, I need to speak to someone because I am receiving way less than my weekly income was before the layoff due to Covid19.

There are complaints on this website that say exactly what I am complaining about and they are from 2010, so don't say due to high call volume with the covid19 epidemic. This has been going on for more years than anyone would believe because I have known people that have had problems. It is a nightmare to try to speak to anyone on top of being scared to death that we might not be able to pay the electric or mortgage this month. It is impossible to speak to anyone no matter when you call. Most of the time the system hangs up on me. I have called every day for the past two and a half weeks all day long and never once got to speak to a rep, from 8 am To 4 pm always says high volume, then there are weird clicking noises and half messages, jumping to the next question, then puts me on hold for anywhere from 1 or 2 minutes to 2 hours, then weird clicking noises and it hangs up. It is 2020 and time to get a new phone system. Let people get calls back even if it's two days from now, or let them leave a message or send an email? Just saying, it is 2020. It is time to update the phone system.
Can’t get through to find out what’s wrong with my claim
Applied for unemployment, it's saying benefits aren't payable at this time, please call the reemployment center, they hang up on you you cannot get through. Meanwhile getting letters in the mail telling me to claim benefits, when I do they say it's not payable. Need to speak to somebody. It's unfair that we can't get a call answered or even a chance to have someone call us back. This needs to be addressed, people are struggling and need the money that we are entitled to

I cannot get a hold of anyone via phone or email. I filed on March 22nd was told it was paid on March 28th via direct deposit and it wasnt't in my bank account. I looked in the mail for the debit card and I didn't get one either. I called my bank and they said I had to call NJ unemployment. When I call all the various phone numbers over 60 times a day I can't get anyone to answer. I have sent numerous emails and I have had no response. Total slicence. This is not OK!
