Don't waste your money, - very poor, products very poor workmanship no communication and very slow
Regrettably used this outfit to do some aesthetic work on my motorcycle brake discs (there is no physical address on their website and on that point alone, should have known better). They had my discs for weeks longer than promised, needed constant chasing up on work progress (never contacted me and rarely got back to me, and website-listed phone numbers were disconnected or never answered), eventually sent me back something that looked like it had been made by a drunk trainee. Both the discs are now damaged, the disc carriers weren't blasted correctly prior to anodising and weren't anodised in places. Bobbins are greyish not flat black as requested & are very poorly made with a poor and inconsistent finish. Later research showed me various forums where others had also bad experiences either with discdoctor or previously as stealthproducts. So do your homework and see for yourself if you can find a single good review about this business, its products or services. You wont. Shockingly bad workmanship and products. Threw the discs in the bin as wouldn't put my faith in them to save my life. A costly mistake. AVOID!
did not fix the discs
I have sent TheDiscDoctor few of my discs for a repair and when I received them back I was terrified! They did not fix anything and the worst part was they even damaged all the discs! Of course I received no refund and they did not even apologize and said that it was not their fault. What a joke. Then I went online and made a little research and found out about others who had the same terrible experience with this company. Don't trust them!
Hi - couldn't agree more - posted my review about a week ago as no one else seemed to have done so (anywhere) but lots of forums where people have grumbled about poor workmanship/materials/communications/dont apologise for delays or errors, but said nothing publicly about these cowboys!
Your issues sound EXACTLY like mine. When I complained to the owner (Dean Crookes - how appropriate!) he actually offered to do more work on areas of the discs that were fine! Ha - like I was going to let him get his hands on them again. No refund, no apology - I dont think he knows how bad an engineer he really is (i.e. he's not). Sorry to hear of your problems..
