I been a member of Thrive Market for over 10 years, I love their organic food and other items. The problem is that they continue to use the worst shipping company on the world OnTrac, this company is run by at bunch of crooks that lie about delivery and damage your orders. I placed an order on July 24, 2023 and they still can deliver. Stay away from this place

Thrive Market Scam

This company tried to pretend it was sending me a prize and all I needed was to pay $5. I know it already sounds like I am an idiot but I have won things online and in these circumstances I use certain cards in case it’s a scam. Well this is one. After the website stated it declined my card I got messages from my card that this company tried to charge their annual fee. This company is evil. I attached the decline from my card. I had never even heard of the company. I had to look it up to see what it was.

Recommendation: Stay far away

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Great Selection and Prices, But Watch Out for Pushy Customer Service

I gotta say, I was pretty interested in Thrive Market when I first heard about it. They had all kinds of stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else, and I was really excited to try it out. I know some people have complained about it being a "bait and switch" kind of deal, but I didn't really see it that way. They were pretty clear about the fact that you had to have a membership to use their site, and even the influencers they partner with make it clear that it's a subscription service. I think some of the complaints are just from people who didn't read the fine print, you know?

Anyway, I was really happy with the prices and the selection on their site. The only problem was that I couldn't really afford the $60 membership fee. I mean, I could save money in the long run by buying stuff from them, but it just wasn't something I could do right now.

So I tried to cancel my account, and that's where things got a little frustrating. The person I was chatting with on their 24-hour chat tried to convince me to stay with the service by offering me discounts and telling me about all the new stuff they were doing. I mean, I get that they're just doing their job, but it was kind of annoying. I just wanted to cancel my account, you know?

I think if they made it easier for people to cancel, they'd have a better chance of keeping customers in the long run. I mean, I might have come back to them in the future if they hadn't tried to pressure me into staying. But now I'm not so sure.

Overall, I think Thrive Market is a pretty good service if you can afford it. They have a lot of great products that you can't find anywhere else, and the prices are really reasonable. But if you do decide to cancel your account, be prepared to deal with some pushy customer service reps.

Thrive Market Unethical Business Practices: My Frustrating Experience with Thrive Market

I recently had an experience with Thrive Market that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had signed up for a monthly membership back in July, but upon browsing the site, I realized that I would prefer to shop at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or Aldi. I get delivery through Instacart, and it's just much faster and more convenient for me and my needs. So, I decided to cancel my membership.

I called to cancel, but was informed that they don't do phone calls. Instead, I requested that somebody contact me, and somebody texted me 3 to 4 hours later. While I understand that there is a labor shortage, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't speak to someone directly. However, I canceled my membership, and they sent me an email and a survey. Being someone that's busy and works and runs a household, I didn't fill out the survey or reply back to their email. It was very clear when I spoke to the representative that I wanted to cancel and that the services weren't for me.

However, three months later, they started charging my card again. I reached out to customer service again, told them that this must've happened by mistake because I canceled my membership three months ago. The representative explained to me that since I didn't reply to their email or fill out their customer service survey, they started charging my card again. I said there had to be some mistake and that didn't make any sense, but they insisted that they do not offer refunds and that my future membership would be canceled. I let them know that I don't have a membership with them anymore and that I canceled three months ago, but they continued to insist that it was my fault for not replying to an email after I clearly canceled.

This experience really made me question their ethics in the way they do business. Seeing that other people have had this issue too makes me feel justified. They gaslighted me and acted like it was my fault for not replying to an email after I clearly canceled. That just doesn't sound like a business that's going to be prosperous to me. You have to care about your customers, you need to be fair and empathetic.

I reached out to their data department and their legal team. I am requesting that my data be deleted because I feel really unsafe with them having my credit card number. Obviously, they will charge it whenever they want despite my multiple efforts to cancel. If you love it, that's great, and I'm happy for you, but be really careful if you're looking into signing up with this company. Something isn't right here.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: False Promises, Poor Customer Service, and Stolen Money

Thrive Market is a community of members that provides healthy food and natural products at "wholesale prices." They claim to be a combination of Costco and Whole Foods, but I beg to differ. I recently canceled my trial membership ($59.95 per year) on March 9th. The reason for my cancellation was that I realized I don't consume a lot of processed foods. Unlike Whole Foods and Costco, Thrive Market doesn't offer fresh ingredients. Additionally, I didn't find their prices to be as competitive as Whole Foods and Costco. I was able to find similar products and the same price points at my local grocer. Thrive Market also doesn't stock many of the specialty products that I love, such as Blue Lotus Chai Tea and loose leaf teas in general.

When I shared my feedback with their Customer Service Rep, I was surprised by their response. The CSR offered me a 6-month subscription at $29.95. I didn't appreciate this sales tactic because she made it seem like she was giving me a special discount. I declined, and the rep told me that my account would be canceled immediately. She also assured me that I wouldn't be charged the subscription fee because I had canceled my account before the invoice was sent.

However, on March 11th, I received a notification from my financial institution that Thrive Market had charged my bank account for the full membership, $59.95. I was livid! Thrive Market lied to me and then stole from me!

Unlike Whole Foods and Costco, Thrive Market only accepts phone calls Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm PST. On March 13th, I called and spoke with a rep. She apologized for the inconvenience and returned the money to my account. I asked her what Thrive was going to do for the inconvenience. To this very moment, they still have my $59.95. She asked me to hold.

I waited for over 5 minutes. Once she returned, she apologized again and said that unfortunately, because I closed my account and I am no longer a customer, she cannot offer me a coupon for $15 off a purchase of $50 or more. Unbelievable!

One of Thrive's marketing schemes is to offer new customers free products with their first order. I know this from experience. I received a jar of Justin's Almond Butter with my first order. Thrive has dozens of items that have been whitelisted to their brand. The least that this business could have done was offer me a free jar of Thrive honey for stealing my money!

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Great Savings on Healthy Products, but Watch Out for Automatic Renewals

I recently had a bit of trouble with Thrive Market, but I was able to resolve it by filling out an online form with the California Attorney General. Their address is 2920 Tanager Ave, Commerce, CA 90040 and you can reach them at ***174.

I had some issues with an automatic renewal of my membership, and it took a few attempts to get it cancelled. I even received offers for an extended free trial and a discounted membership, but I just wanted to cancel. After my third attempt, I threatened to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office if they didn't confirm in writing that my membership had been cancelled. Finally, I received confirmation and was able to move on.

Despite this experience, I still think Thrive Market is a great option for those looking to save money on healthy and organic products. When you make your first purchase, you'll start a free 30-day membership trial and can cancel anytime. Plus, they offer a wide variety of products and have great deals. Just make sure to keep an eye on your credit card statements and don't hesitate to reach out to customer service if you have any issues.

Overall, I would recommend giving Thrive Market a try. Just be aware that there may be some hiccups along the way, but they can be resolved with a little persistence.

Thrive Market Thrive Market: Poor Customer Service and Defensive Behavior

I had a pretty bad experience with Thrive Market. I have some allergies, so I was excited to try out their website since they have a lot of options for people with special dietary needs. I placed my first order during a promotion, but when I went back a few days later to order some more things, their website was having issues and I couldn't view most of it. I tried again the next day and the day after, but it was still having issues. I contacted their customer service to cancel my membership since I couldn't use it if I couldn't see their website, but the representative I spoke with was only interested in keeping me on my membership and telling me how much money I would save. It felt like a scam or a used car purchase.

When my order arrived, one of the "gifts" I received, a full-size bottle of cold brew, had leaked all over the other items in the box. I contacted Thrive Market to let them know, but they said there was nothing they could do since I had already cancelled my membership. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but one never reached out to me. When I contacted them again, they told me their website doesn't always work well and I should use their app instead. They also said they couldn't resend the item since it was free and I cancelled my membership.

I was pretty frustrated with their customer service. They were defensive and didn't seem to care about my experience. I decided to shop at Vitacost instead since I placed my order with Thrive Market under the impression that I would be getting the offers that were extended to me, including the "gift" that leaked all over my other items. It's a shame that Thrive Market has such poor customer service and defensive behavior. I wouldn't recommend doing business with them.

Thrive Market Mixed Feelings About Thrive Market's Membership Fees and Billing Practices

I gotta say, I had an experience with Thrive Market that left me feeling a little bit confused. I mean, I ordered some almond butter from them back in 2016 and it wasn't the best, so I gave it away to someone who said they liked it. I totally forgot about it. But then, on 3/18/18, I got a notification from my credit card company's app that there was a charge for 59.95 to renew my Thrive membership. I was like, "What the heck is Thrive Market?" I had no idea what was going on.

So, I got an email from Thrive Market that same day telling me about my renewed membership. I tried to use the chat link in the email to get in touch with someone, but it didn't work. I figured it was because it was Sunday, so I waited until Monday to call them up.

When I talked to someone at Thrive Market, I told them I had no recollection of ever ordering from them. That's when they reminded me about the almond butter I ordered. They said I was given free shipping at the time and that's why I'm now paying for a membership. I guess that makes sense, but I'm pretty sure I was probably charged a membership fee last year too. I just didn't notice it because I didn't get any notifications from my credit card company or from Thrive Market. According to a response to someone's review I saw, those emails often go to spam. How convenient.

I'm a little hesitant about companies that have yearly membership fees, especially ones that are over $50. I usually don't sign up for those kinds of services because I know it can be hard to cancel. I take full responsibility if the rules were clearly stated, but I'm still a little annoyed about the whole thing.

When I talked to someone at Thrive Market, I asked them to cancel my membership. The service rep was nice and told me my charges would be reversed within 2-3 days. She also mentioned that I had a credit of $45 on my account, but I don't really want to deal with the company anymore because of their billing practices.

It's interesting to me that the reviews for Thrive Market are so mixed. I noticed that a lot of the reviewers don't have any other reviews, which makes me wonder if they're legit. Someone even suggested that people who write negative reviews are just hard to please, but that's not the case with me. If you check my other reviews, you'll see that I'm pretty reasonable.

Anyway, I got a notification on 3/24/18 that my credit card has been credited for 59.95. So, I guess my story has a happy ending. But I'm definitely going to make a note in my calendar to check for charges next March.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: High Membership Fees, Pushy Agents, and Difficult Cancellation Process

I decided to give Thrive Market a try after seeing that they had a supplement that I really liked at a discounted price compared to what I usually pay at my local store. Like most other memberships, they made it clear that I was signing up for a trial membership that would automatically renew at the end of the trial period. While some people have complained about this, it's really no different than other subscription services like Amazon or food boxes.

However, I did have some issues with cancelling my trial membership. First of all, it was difficult to find information on how to cancel. I had to go to the FAQ section to find out how to do it. Then, when I tried to cancel, I found out that I had to call between 8am and 4pm, which is not convenient for most people who are at work during those hours. I called just before the cut-off time, and they offered to call me back within an hour, but that would have been outside of their operating hours, so I might not have received a call back at all.

When I finally got through to someone, they tried to sign me up for a 30-day extension of the free trial membership, even though I had already explained that I only used it for one item and wasn't interested in their other products. I was really frustrated by this and tried to calmly explain that I just wanted to cancel, but the agent kept trying to get me to take the extended trial. It felt like they were trying to force a membership on me, which is not okay.

In the end, I had to threaten to file a complaint before they finally agreed to cancel my trial membership. It was a really frustrating experience, especially since I found the product I had originally signed up for cheaper elsewhere. I also found that most of the other products in their health section were either more expensive or the same price as other places I had looked.

Overall, I would not recommend Thrive Market. While they do have some good deals, their membership fees are high and their prices are not always competitive. Plus, their cancellation process is difficult and their agents can be pushy. It's just not worth the hassle.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Not Impressed with "Give Back" Program and Limited Selection

I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Thrive Market. Yeah, I know people complain about the membership fee, but that's not even my biggest issue. The fact that they don't sell fresh produce, kombucha, salsa, and other items means you still have to go to the grocery store for most of your weekly shopping. And if you're trying to be zero waste, it's actually better to buy bulk items like nuts and rice in mason jars from your local store instead of having them shipped to you in packaging (even if it's biodegradable) and using up fossil fuels in the process.

But my biggest gripe is with their supposed "give back" program. They offer free memberships to people in need, which sounds great, but they're not very transparent about how it all works. Who are these people? How do they qualify? And how can they even order items if they don't have a computer or access to a library? I have family members who could really benefit from a free membership, but I can't even figure out how to get them connected with the program. It all seems a bit shady to me.

And let's be real, if they're just using one person's $60 membership fee to pay for someone else's free membership, they're not making any money off of that. So why not just make it free for everyone? That way, more people could benefit from their products, not just the small percentage of people who qualify for a free membership or can afford the fee. It's not really helping people if you're only catering to the wealthy.

Honestly, I'd rather shop at some of my favorite ethical stores in SoCal, like Lazy Acres, Seed People's Market, Krochet Kids, Mother's Market, Trader Joe's, and local farmers markets. They all have great products and friendly employees, and I feel good knowing my money is going to support local businesses and ethical practices.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Deceptive Membership Fees & Arbitration Clause

Thrive Market is a website that offers healthy and organic groceries online. They claim that they make it obvious that you are signing up for a trial membership, but many people seem to miss it. There are a few reasons for this.

Firstly, the "30 day FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP" is in bold and large text, but only below it do they put in non-bold and small text "After your trial, you'll be charged." This may be worse on some browsers and screens, which they probably didn't test. Secondly, the site repeatedly displays a discount of "Today Only: Save an Extra 20% Off Your First 3 Orders Shop Now," but they fail to display the membership details on any page. Also, the discount is not "today only" - it is every day. This catches everyone's attention, and the disparity between their big bold discounts and fine print of being charged after the trial is even worse on some screens.

Personally, I did not see anything about this trial, or I would've cancelled it immediately that day. I've dealt with this before on apps and websites and always cancel the same day or put it on my calendar to cancel it. I do this because other sites make the fee CLEAR. Thrive deliberately does not. By not making their fees conspicuous (clearly visible - like their promotions are), it is a violation of most states' consumer fraud and deceptive business practices laws.

However, Thrive Market has an arbitration clause in their TOS, making it impossible to sue them out in an actual court of law. You have to arbitrate, and you can only arbitrate in California, per the TOS. Arbitration rarely (if ever) awards punitive damages, so you'd spend quite a lot of time and money traveling to CA for $60 - which nobody would do. They obviously know this.

To Thrive Market employees who read/respond to comments here, why does a simple healthy organic online grocery store need a lengthy & tightly bound arbitration clause in its terms of service? It is because you know the little scam you have going on with membership fees would eventually be challenged in another state's court system, at a tremendous cost to you in legal & travel fees to attend court out of state? That's the only reason I can think of, and I am sure that's the real reason, because what customer would fly to Marina Del Rey to arbitrate over a $60 membership fee?

In the fine print, Thrive does allow you to opt out of arbitration for the first 30 days after your purchase - only in a very small block of text in their massive TOS. But if you opt out, they still claim (though I don't see how this is enforceable) that all disputes are settled in CA under CA law... and not where the damaged party is (which is where jurisdiction should be). Consumer fraud lawsuits are brought where the consumer was defrauded 99% of the time, NOT where the company is based - like they are trying to enforce.

It is amazing how they keep pretending they just innocently charged you a yearly membership fee on here - and you're the one at fault for missing it (and you "agreed to" it - supposedly -- amazing how many hundreds of people missed it though isn't it?). However, when you read the TOS & see their refusal to modify the website, this reveals their true nature. It's all deliberate - obviously. Truly nasty, vile people are behind this site.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Dishonest Pricing and Shady Business Practices

I've been a member of Thrive Market for a few years now and I have to say, my opinion of them has changed. When I first signed up and paid my annual membership fee, I trusted that their promise of discounted prices was genuine. However, I soon found out that this was not the case.

Let me start with the good things about Thrive Market. Firstly, their products are always neatly and securely packed, and I've never had any issues with damaged items. If anything is damaged, they ask for a photo and then give a full refund, which is great. Secondly, they offer free memberships to those who qualify, which is a nice gesture.

Now, onto the bad stuff. The main issue I have with Thrive is that their prices are not discounted as they claim. In fact, I've found that I can often find the same items for less on other non-paid sites. This was a real eye-opener for me when I found one of the products I had purchased on Thrive for less than half the price on Amazon. Thrive does have a price-match policy, but it's a hassle to have to constantly check prices on other sites to make sure you're getting a good deal.

I recently compared my latest Thrive order to prices on other sites like VitaCost, iHerb, and Amazon, and I was shocked to find that 70% of the items I had purchased on Thrive were less expensive elsewhere. The other 30% were only slightly less expensive on Thrive, and the savings didn't offset the subscription fee.

Thrive Market's prices are not discounted, and in fact, they are often more expensive than their membership-free competitors. They may have introduced their own house brands that sometimes have lower prices, but the quality is not always the same. For example, their canned Coconut Milk doesn't actually contain real coconut milk, but rather "organic coconut extract." It's important to read the ingredients and compare them to mainstream brands before buying.

What really irks me is that Thrive has a running total of what they have "saved" me over the years on my membership page. However, this savings tab is based on dishonest pricing - they claim that the products they carry are more expensive on the open market than they really are. This makes it look like you're saving money when you're really paying the same or more.

To make matters worse, it's not easy to end your membership with Thrive. They require you to call them on the phone and sit on hold, and then they try to convince you to stay. This kind of shady dealing makes me angry, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on a dishonest and greedy business like Thrive Market.

Thrive Market Everything

I’m a “member” and find is crazy that I have to pay $6 shipping on top of a monthly membership fee AND then if I was cold or cool items I have to pay EVEN more to have to “cold pack” shipped to me. And the price gouging is crazy. My local supermarket has many of the same products for equal or lesser pricing. It’s infuriating. On top of all of that they promise “ships within 24 hours” and my orders always take 5-7 days to ACTUALLY ship AFTER a few days of processing. It’s a rip off but for a few select items I can’t seem to find anywhere else I have to use thrive. Ugh.

Desired outcome: No additional shipping fee for PAYING members. ACTUALLY ship my orders within 24 hours and actually lower the prices to be competitive with local markets.

Thrive Market Mixed Feelings: My Experience with Thrive Market During COVID

I gotta say, I really appreciate Thrive Market and all they stand for. I mean, I live out in the sticks and it's tough to get my hands on organic vegan goods, ya know? So I pay for a membership to have access to all the good stuff they can provide. Plus, it feels good to support a company with values that align with my own.

But let me tell ya, I had some serious beef with Thrive recently. I mean, I get it, COVID has thrown everyone for a loop. But when you're depending on a company to deliver your groceries and they leave you hanging for weeks past the delivery time they promised, that's just not cool. And I'm not even one of those people who's super fragile and can't handle a little inconvenience. I figured out how to take care of myself, even if it meant spending twice as much on groceries and doing double the shopping.

But here's the real kicker: I gifted my elderly father with a Thrive membership to help him eat the organic, functional, cage-free diet he's supposed to be on after some health issues. And guess what? His order never came. So he had to keep going to the local Walmart (ugh) to get his groceries. And now, after all that waiting, his order was cancelled. So he's gotta go back to Walmart again, which is way riskier for him.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Thrive is helping out people in need during these crazy times. But sometimes, it's the regular customers who need a little support too. And honestly, I just want the company I rely on to do their job well. Is that too much to ask?

Thrive Market Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Thrive Market: Late Orders, Dented Cans, and Unhelpful Agents

I started using Thrive Market a few months ago after hearing so many great things about it online. I was excited to have so many options for different diets and to be able to order food that I would normally buy at a health food store without having to make a trip to Whole Foods all the time.

However, every order I placed was late and the cans always had dents in them. Every. Single. Time. At first, I thought it was just a one-time thing, but after it happened four or five times, I had had enough. I tried to get a refund through their chat feature, which worked well the first few times, but then the agents started picking and choosing which comments to respond to and weren't able to answer my direct questions.

I asked for a refund for my food items that had dents in them and also requested to cancel my membership and get a refund. It was a huge hassle and I had to speak with three or four different agents. One of them even told me that they couldn't issue me a refund, but they wouldn't auto-renew my membership. What kind of solution is that?

Their customer service was just awful. I was shocked at how poorly they handled my complaints. I even wrote a letter to their complaint department, but I never received a response. It wasn't until I saw a refund for my membership that I felt like my complaints were being taken seriously.

It's really a shame because Thrive Market has so much potential, but they need to step up their game when it comes to training their employees and improving their customer service skills. In this day and age, it's unacceptable to treat customers this way. I hope they take my feedback seriously and make some changes because I won't be using their service again.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: A Scam Company That Steals from Customers and Doesn't Honor Agreements

I gotta say, Thrive Market is not a good company to do business with. I signed up because they said they would give me a 1 lbs Raw Honey jar as a gift, but instead they switched it to Ghee. That's not why I signed up with them, so I tried to email them many times and call them, but they are hard to get a hold of. I wanted to cancel my order or switch the items, but they basically sent the package and forced me to pay for it. What a scam!

I was so stressed out that I had to transfer what I owed to Discover over to Capital One and pay the charge I did not agree to. I want my $57.50 back plus the stress and waste of time that they caused me. Thrive Market is stealing from customers and not honoring their agreement. They made it difficult for anyone to contact them via email or phone, which is totally unfair.

I emailed them right away after reviewing my receipt and told them I was stunned. I said that's not what I agreed to and to cancel everything and get me out of there. But they waited until it was "too late" to cancel and didn't even have a cancel button. I should not have to be paying for something that I didn't authorize.

I have a disability and need to retain an attorney for $57.50 because of customer fraud. Thrive Market needs to be held liable for what they did. I know I'm not the only one who has had issues with them. I want to sue them for what they did and for making it difficult for anyone to contact them via email or phone.

I'm so disappointed in Discover Credit Card company for supporting a business that does wrong doings. They just lost me as a loyal customer. Don't do business with Thrive Market, they are a scam!

Thrive Market Thrive Market Membership Review: Difficult to Cancel, Not Worth the Cost

I'm currently on hold with Thrive Market, waiting to speak to a "specialist". It's been almost half an hour and I'm starting to get frustrated. If you're reading this, be warned - cancelling your membership is not a quick or easy process. It seems like they want to wear you down and make you give up on the idea of cancelling altogether. I realized that I wasn't actually saving money with Thrive, and now I'm regretting signing up in the first place.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, I'm connected with a "specialist". They try to convince me to keep my membership for another six months at a cost of $29.95. I agree, but I know deep down that I'm just wasting my money. I'm here six months later to finally cancel once and for all.

The thing is, with memberships in general - and this one in particular - one of four things will happen. Either you'll remember to cancel within the six-month window, you'll notice a charge on your credit card and try to reverse it (which won't work), you won't even notice the charges and keep paying year after year, or you'll actually use the membership and save money. But let's be real, that last one is the least likely scenario.

Today, I waited 39 minutes before a "specialist" finally answered my call and confirmed my cancellation. The upside to that long wait is that I won't be wasting $60 tomorrow on membership renewal. Lesson learned about memberships - they're not always worth it.

Thrive Market Is Thrive Market Worth the Membership Fee? A Review of Prices and Perks

I gotta say, I used to be a big fan of Thrive Market. They had some really great stuff at prices that were hard to beat. I mean, who doesn't love a good deal, right? But now that I'm not a member anymore, I gotta admit, I'm missing some of my favorite items. Like that coconut flakes cereal? Man, that stuff was addictive.

Now, I know some folks have had some negative experiences with Thrive, but I can't say I've had too many issues myself. Well, except for that one time when I got hit with an unexpected charge when I first joined. That was a bit of a headache to sort out, but eventually, it got resolved.

But here's the thing that really gets me about Thrive: that membership fee. I mean, sixty bucks? That's no small chunk of change. And yeah, I know they tell you up front that there's a fee, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It just feels like they're gouging me for being a loyal customer and spending a lot of money at their store.

Now, some folks have tried to tell me that other places charge membership fees too, like Costco and Amazon. But I don't think that's a fair comparison. With Amazon, you can still shop there even if you don't have Prime. And if you do join, you get all sorts of perks like free shipping and Prime Video. And with Costco, you get better warranties and easy returns. Plus, if you get the higher cost membership, you can actually earn back the cost of the fee. That's not something you can say about Thrive.

Don't get me wrong, the prices at Thrive are pretty darn good. But I think they'd be even better if they just raised them a bit and got rid of that pesky membership fee. That way, I wouldn't feel like I was getting ripped off every time I shopped there.

Thrive Market Disappointing Experience with Thrive Market: Limited Options, Poor Service, and Frustrating Communication

I was super stoked to give Thrive Market a try. My first order went pretty smoothly and I was pretty happy with most of the stuff I got. But then I went and placed a second order and it took FOREVER for me to get confirmation. I was checking every day to see when my order was gonna be ready and it took a whole week before I finally got a delivery date. Like, seriously? If I'm paying for a delivery service, I should be able to pick when I want my stuff to arrive (especially since I work long hours and need to make sure someone's around to get my packages). It was super frustrating that my options were so limited and I couldn't even choose a delivery date that worked for me.

And don't even get me started on the limited options for my diet. Some stuff was labeled as being good for my diet type, but then I'd read the ingredients and realize I couldn't even eat it. And since I have a ton of food allergies, my choices were even more limited. It was a bummer that I couldn't find more stuff that worked for me.

When I decided that Thrive wasn't worth the subscription cost, I tried to cancel through the app. But there was no way to do it! I couldn't even remove my payment method. I had to go to the website and chat with a representative, which took forever. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to even join the chat. And then when they finally did, they tried to sell me on a 6-month membership. Like, come on! I just want to cancel my subscription, not sign up for more.

And the chat feature was a total mess. If you accidentally leave the chat, you can't get back in until they send you a message. There's no way to find it again, so you're just stuck waiting until they decide to message you back. It was a total headache.

Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Thrive Market. I was excited to try it out, but the poor service and communication left a bad taste in my mouth. Cute packaging can only go so far, you know?

Thrive Market Deceptive Marketing Tactics: My Negative Experience with Thrive Market

I, like many others, have had a negative experience with Thrive Market. They claim to be a company that wants to help people by providing healthy options and supporting low-income families. However, their marketing tactics are deceptive and misleading.

I was enticed by their offer of free raw honey, only paying for shipping. However, when I provided my credit card information, I was automatically enrolled in a membership that I did not want. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic that is unethical and dishonest.

Their website suggests that joining the membership is an explicit action that you initiate, but this is not the case. They make it difficult to cancel the membership and continue to charge your credit card without your consent.

I was disappointed with the raw honey I received and had no interest in joining their membership. I felt deceived and scammed by their marketing tactics.

I would not recommend Thrive Market to anyone and would caution anyone who mentions them about their deceptive practices. If you have been scammed by Thrive Market, I suggest reaching out to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint.

It's unfortunate that a company that claims to want to help people would resort to such unethical practices. I wish I had checked them out before accepting their free sample product.

Thrive Market Thrive Market Review: Great Deals, Terrible Service & Shipping

I've been using Thrive Market for a couple of years now and I have to say, it's not what it used to be. Don't get me wrong, the deals are great, but only when I actually get what I ordered. Sometimes Thrive will have a really generous discount on a large selection of items, like they did about a month ago. I spent a good hour pouring through the sale items to decide what to stock up on. It was a bit of a cumbersome process, but I was excited to save some money.

However, my order was delayed. And then delayed again. A week later, I called them and had them cancel the order. I managed to find out that the delivery service they use had lost the item, something Thrive didn't seem to know. Now, it's a week later and I still don't have any of the items I ordered. I could order them again, but without the 30% sale discount.

A few weeks later, there was another sale, but it was more limited. I placed another order on Monday, expecting it to be shipped by Tuesday. But on Friday, it still hadn't shipped. They told me it should ship tomorrow, but since tomorrow is a Saturday, it'll probably be Monday. And since they use a bottom of the barrel shipper like Ontrack, that order, whenever it finally ships, may get delayed or lost again.

It's been a whole month and I still haven't received anything I ordered. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I'd say about half of my orders over the past year have been lost or delayed. It's frustrating to say the least.

If you're someone who has a lot of patience and doesn't need things right away, then this could be a good option for you. But let's not forget that you have to pay an annual fee to have the privilege of this horrific service.

To be fair, when items are damaged, they're good about crediting for them. But the shipping and packing is random and chaotic. Things are often overpacked or liquid items are put in bags that aren't sealed properly. What's the point?

I wish I could get some of my wasted time and aggravation refunded to me. I hope you have better luck than I did!

Thrive Market Thrilling and Heartwarming: A Review of The Hunger Games Trilogy

UGH! What an absolute SCAM! I never thought I'd have to worry about this kind of crap from a company that professes to have the values they do.

I placed an order, NEVER NOTICED ANYTHING ABOUT MEMBERSHIP... so much so that I wasn't even aware that membership was even a THING with this company, much less that I'd be signing up for it.

Suddenly, there's a whopping $60 fee on my credit card! I AM SO P! SS3D! Now I'm sitting on hold with them, and their recording says that it will take AN HOUR for someone to even be able to answer the phone. What the heck kind of support is this!

I don't want this membership, I won't USE this membership. Even if it were a good deal, since I got scammed into membership, I don't want to have anything to do with this company and will never EVER order from them again.

Their responses to people's complaints on here say that they email you the week before you'll be charged (no, they didn't), and then they email you again right before you'll be charged for the annual membership. (no, they didn't). If that were true, then there wouldn't be so many complaints on here.

If it were also true that we weren't getting scammed into the annual membership, and that it is made clear the customers, then there wouldn't be all these complaints.

Check out the Better Business Bureau as well. There were so many complaints that they had to call the company to get them to change their practices.

I'm a natural health care provider who treats HUNDREDS of people each year who use the products that Thrive Market sells. I will for sure be telling everyone about this scammy company and warning them to STAY AWAY.

Oh yeah... insult to injury... they tell you to try Chat support with them so you don't have to wait on hold so long... and it's so hard to even find the chat window, as it's only on certain windows. Then, once you click it, is just sits there looking like it's trying to open up, but it never does.

Probably because they're swamped with all the other angry people like me, trying to get their membership cancelled.

Thrive Market Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Thrive Market

I had a really bad experience with Thrive Market. My family and I were planning to start a special diet for our child and we wanted to place an order on their website. I also wanted to apply for Thrive Gives, a program that offers free memberships to first responders and teachers. However, when I asked their customer service team if my husband's job as a high school guidance counselor and coach, and my job as a nurse, qualified us for the program, they didn't give me a clear answer. They just told me to apply, so I did.

While waiting for a response, I went ahead and placed an order because we needed the products for our child's diet. But then, I noticed that my membership status said I was a Thrive Gives member. I was confused because I never received any confirmation that my application was approved. So, I contacted their customer service again to double-check and that's when I spoke to Justin.

Justin told me that I was not a Thrive Gives member because my application was canceled after I placed an order. I was really frustrated because no one ever mentioned that my application would be canceled if I paid for a membership and placed an order. And I never received any communication stating that my application was now canceled since I was a paying member. It felt like they were trying to trick me into paying for another membership fee.

When I expressed my confusion and disappointment, Justin didn't seem interested in helping me. He just repeated the same "facts" over and over again without apologizing for the confusion and lack of communication. It was really disappointing because customer service is important to me and this experience was a huge letdown.

Overall, I would not recommend Thrive Market based on my experience with their customer service. It's important for companies to be transparent and communicate clearly with their customers, and Thrive Market failed to do that in this situation.

Thrive Market Charge on my amex and i've had zero contact with thrive.

I found a $59.95 charge on my AMEX from Thrive Market - January 2023. I've been aware of them for years but never used this service. I called to discuss and there's no way you can actually talk with someone. Even their chat box and text options (which you get when you call) - are bots. None of the options on the chat or text apply to what you need, which is to remove the charge (not cancel a subscription, there never WAS a subscription). It's designed in a way that screams - SCAM.

Desired outcome: AMEX has removed the charge as "fraud" and I also reported Thrive to the Texas Attorney General's office as fraud.

Thrive Market I was charged a yearly membership fee and I looked at reach information page closely. I did not ay

I was charged a yearly membership fee and I didn't agree to that. I was just looking at your site and wanted to look at your products. Nowhere did I notice that I'd officially allowed you to withdraw money.

I found that I don't like your selections well enough to join and have NOT placed an order. I can't afford such a fee -- really can't afford it.

Desired outcome: I want the (quickly withdrawn) membership fee of $59.95 back. I was on your site less than three hours ago and NEVER made a purchase.

Just don't do it. They say they have a 30 day trial period but they charge you for the first year with the first purchase. They won't answer the 24/7 chat line and they don't take phone or text messages. I am contacting pay pal to ensure they can't get at more money. I sent a cancellation just seven days after signing up on the retailers 24/7 chat line. I spent an hour on 3 occasions trying to reach the retailer, they never resond. I also sent phone texts. I have screen shots and phone photos to back this up. I suspect I will never see the $59.95 membership fee that the website states is a yearly fee with a 30 day trial period. Wow a really dishonest company. don't walk away,,,RUN.

Desired outcome: I would like the $59.95 yearly fee back and to be secure in the belief that they wont attack my accounts in the future as they have my account information.

Thrive Market Membership renewals and unable to process one sale

It's bad enough that Thrive Market seemed to surreptitiously renew my membership although I have not made a purchase in several years and did not. approve auto renewal.

Whenever I DID attempt to make a purchase or take advantage of a special sale, when I logged in I was forced to choose a monthly or annual membership. EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY HAD A MEMBERSHIP, I could not get past that 'sign up' page in order to make a purchase.

I want my money back.

Desired outcome: Refund or a membership renewal at no cost where I can actually use the membership!

Apparently when you order something from thrive market they sign you up for a 30 day trail and after that you're charged 59.95 for a membership fee. The customer service representative claims that it shows up when you check out but they don't send an email letting you know you've been signed up for a membership now I'm out 60$ for a [censored]ing 6$ tube of toothpaste and it's not possible to get a refund.

Desired outcome: A refund

They put my account on auto pay which I DID NOT request or do myself and tried to charge me again for items I bought a month ago. I heard others are having trouble with them and I hope they do not try to charge me again for anything after having to go into the site and pause auto pay that I NEVER asked for.
