Don't buy a Tiffin Motor-home
Don't buy a Tiffin Motor-home. I got a 2022 model and I'm dumb for getting one of these things. First off, you can't find anyone to work on them and don't expect the place you bought it from to be any help, they'll just laugh at you.
And good luck with the so-called free warranty on roadside service. It's a joke. They send tow trucks for a vehicle. These folks don't even know what a Tiffin is. So I'm an idiot for buying this thing and I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake as me. These people make a fortune off hardworking Americans and they couldn't care less.
This is my first time writing a review or complaint
This is my first time writing a review or complaint. Me and my husband bought a 2013 Tiffin Allegro RED Open Road in October . We really like our Tiffin, but the seats are in terrible condition. The leather is peeling and shedding, and you can see the cushions in some places. I called Tiffin to ask about what can be done with the seats, and they said they would send seat covers to *** in Ramsey, MN. I sent my first email on November 30, telling *** what Tiffin said they would do. They also said it would take about 10 weeks to get the covers. On January 4, *** sent an email to Tiffin asking when the covers would arrive. On January 4, Tiffin replied with an email saying "I don't know, let me check." After not getting a response, I emailed Tiffin on January 14, with a copy to Lazy Days, asking when the covers would arrive. On January 15, Tiffin replied with an email saying "It will probably take 6-8 weeks before they are done." On April 21, I emailed Tiffin asking when the covers might arrive, but I never got a response. The Tiffin employee who is supposed to order the covers told me that the covers might have been replaced before, but *** says that the covers are definitely the original FlexSteel covers on the seats, sofa, chair, and ottoman. I'm frustrated because I can't find out if the covers have been ordered or if Tiffin decided not to order them. They don't respond to my emails and messages. Just tell me if the covers have been ordered or not. I'm confused and I don't want to get the covers replaced by another company if Tiffin has already ordered them. They don't return my calls, and the last time Tiffin answered was on January 15.

I bought the Tiffin Wayfarer 2 years ago
I bought the Tiffin Wayfarer 2 years ago. After using it a few times, I started having issues with my Murphy bed. It wouldn't stay up while driving. The thing that keeps it up isn't strong enough. I took it to *** Port St Lucie and they tried to fix it. It worked for a bit, but after a week, the same problem came back. I reckon the Manufacturer should sort out this issue.
I bought a 2023 Tiffin Phaeton 37BH in late October 2022, brand new
I bought a 2023 Tiffin Phaeton 37BH in late October 2022, brand new. After the first check down trip and the pre-delivery inspection, more than 25 issues were reported to the authorized dealer. It's been 5 months now, and the problems still haven't been fixed by the dealer, LaMesa***. I've sent many emails to *** Tiffin and *** Tiffin, but haven't received any response. The coach has had numerous problems with the living quarters and the rear engine compartment. We still don't have a definite date for the repairs. The dealer claims that Tiffin hasn't provided the necessary parts for the fixes. I contacted Tiffin's customer service, and they said they're still working on it.
Since I got my 2021 Tiffin Wayfarer 25 RW, I've had a bunch of problems, some even before I left the dealership
Since I got my 2021 Tiffin Wayfarer 25 RW, I've had a bunch of problems, some even before I left the dealership. I've listed the issues below and attached email conversations for some of them. It's like whenever one thing gets fixed, something else breaks or the thing that was fixed breaks again. Right now, as I'm writing this, the RV is unusable. I either want a new RV or a full refund. Here's a list of problems, most of which are mentioned in the emails I attached:
- Loose molding around cabinets
- Cabinet drawers that are loose and hang open
- Wiring hanging under the RV
- Back part of the RV body not attached
- Loose shower stall
- Delaminating floor and walls
- Leveling system that doesn't work
- Dining table that came off the wall
- Headlight trim pieces that fell off
- Water leaking from the ceiling (I have pictures and a video of this)
- Water leaking from the outside shower
- Poor paint job with overspray on mud flaps and other body trim pieces
- House door latch that sticks and sometimes doesn't work
- Mercedes engine issues, turbo not working, and leaking exhaust fumes in the cab

We bought a new 5th wheel RV from a Dealer last February
We bought a new 5th wheel RV from a Dealer last February. We noticed, noted, and reported repairs that were needed right away. The dealership fixed two things, but the rest were supposed to be fixed later. However, they only fixed two things even though they asked for a list. Now our trailer is elsewhere and we're dealing with a local repair shop. But they can't do anything because the factory hasn't sent the parts we need. We've been passed around from person to person and now we're working with a Tech Support rep who sent the wrong parts. On December 7th, he said he would send us the right parts, but now he won't respond to me. We still have problems with a sink that fell in and needs to be remounted, and the slides have gaps big enough for a child's fist to fit through. We've been making payments and owning this for almost a year, but we can't even use it because we're afraid animals will get inside. I have all the emails with the manufacturer and the repair centers. I really need some help if possible.
I got a 2019 Tiffin Allegro 36 UA, Ser K0A07073
I got a 2019 Tiffin Allegro 36 UA, Ser K0A07073. Tiffin got a safety recall on their badly designed DC control panel. Since I got an electrician in my son's business, I asked him to do the job instead of a tech at a dealer who might not be an electrician. They initially said they would send the recall to my electrician if I had one, but they wanted a letter from him. He did that, but Tiffin said they wouldn't send it because he works for me (actually my son). Since I didn't want a dealer to handle it, they made me sign a release. After getting the parts, the electrician found more damage to the panel, so he got the additional parts (a complete panel) and installed it. I sent the *** for the work and they told me Tiffin wouldn't pay for the repairs because of the release I signed. What I want from Tiffin is full payment and for them to revoke the release I signed. Also, a thank you for finding more issues with their DC panel that they added to their recall inspection. I can provide the email conversation with Tiffin's recall department if needed.
We ordered a 32' Tiffin Allegro Motorhome in November and got it in March
We ordered a 32' Tiffin Allegro Motorhome in November and got it in March . Since then, it's been in the repair shop for a long time due to many complaints that haven't been fixed. We only used it once for a short weekend trip, and guess what? We found even more problems. It's now November, and we just got it back from the shop (it went in during August ), but the defects are still there. The backup camera keeps turning on and off, and the ABS braking system light is on, which is dangerous. The slide-out came out while we were driving, and we don't even know if it's fixed yet (even after multiple trips to the shop for this issue). The side mirrors shake while we're moving, which is also dangerous, and we've been complaining about it since day one. The paint job has flaws too, and we were told we'd have to pay to send it back to the factory for repairs, which would also add to the mileage. We have pictures of all the defects, and these are just a few of the problems. We've been sold a faulty product, and the manufacturer won't approve the necessary repairs.
My first email to Tiffin
My first email to Tiffin. Our coach has been at RV One awaiting repairs now for over 45 days. It remains there to date with no completion date and no response from Tiffin per RV One in *** where the coach has been. This email was sent January 5th, 2023. My husband is being far too kind as our concerns and issues have not been addressed/resolved for way too long. My biggest concern at the moment however, is regarding the *** Recall #V-273, TC Recall #20-206 and Tiffin Recall #TIF-1. It appears that our coach currently is having the issue with the slide out extending on its own and as such, it seems reasonable to assume that we were sold and delivered our coach with Tiffin and RV One knowing about this extremely dangerous issue. We have already traveled with our coach and as such unknowingly placed ourselves and those around us in a possibly lethal situation had the slide out extended on its own while in transit. Based on this, can you first verify that our coach is within this recall and second, acknowledge if this cylinder was replaced prior to delivery or not? This will help us determine our next course of action. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. I can provide all emails if necessary.
I bought this vehicle on September 30 to go to Washington DC for a family gathering
I bought this vehicle on September 30 to go to Washington DC for a family gathering. It was supposed to be a rental, but the order got canceled and it was put up for sale. I know rentals might not be as good as retail vehicles, but safety should still be a priority. Two days after buying it, we took it for a test drive and smelled propane outside. The next day, there was propane inside the cabin. I didn't want to take it to the dealer with a leaking tank, so their mobile service came to my house and confirmed a significant propane leak. They took out the tank and put it back two days later. Because of this delay, I missed the family reunion. Finally, a week after buying it, while heating up the water heater, the inside of the vehicle flooded from a leak. So, no hot water for the whole trip. And when I used the kitchen sink, the water and dirt went into the shower. Now that I'm back in Phoenix, I've been told that it will take another 6-8 weeks for someone to fix these problems. I haven't shared this with anyone else yet, so I wanted to let you know first.

Issue: Turbocharger failure on my 2020 Allegro Motorhome model 33 AA bought in January
Issue: Turbocharger failure on my 2020 Allegro Motorhome model 33 AA bought on January 8. The motorhome wasn't used in 2020 due to Covid shutdowns. Date of Failure: September 23, 2022 - the engine failed while traveling. Truck Up conducted 2 hours of diagnostics and reported a fix. They recommended a new filter for $3,000, not under warranty, which didn't resolve the issue. Further diagnostics left the technician puzzled, advising a tow. After a long wait and several misdispatched wreckers, a suitable tow service was found. My son had to overnight in the motorhome, unable to use its amenities. On September 25, Cummins identified the turbocharger as the culprit and noted no new replacements were available, offering only refurbished units. Surprisingly, the original turbocharger was also refurbished, despite the motorhome being sold as brand new.
I bought my 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer a year and a half ago, brand new
I bought my 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer a year and a half ago, brand new. There are many reasons why we chose Tiffin, their reputation, quality, and good looks! We recently got a recall for the Wheel Liners because they could damage the Valve Stems/Extenders and make it hard to control the vehicle while driving. This is really dangerous. Shortly after, we got Tiffin's recommended solution, which was to remove the hubcaps and send them in for a $150 payment. There are a few issues with this decision. I've done some research with different Rim/Tire repair shops, and the problem is that you can't replace the hubcaps with new ones safely because the same safety issue will come up again. Mercedes even said that all hubcaps eventually wear out a bit over time. The only other option Tiffin suggested is to get $1900 Alcoa rims or have rusty iron rims on your $150,000 Tiffin Wayfarer. It's not fair to have to choose between safety and driving a not-so-great looking 24TW after such a short time. It feels like I bought a knockoff instead of a well-known Tiffin. Everyone I talked to who also recommended Tiffin said the same thing. Tiffin can do better than this. I'm already in debt for 20 years, and that's okay, but now I have to add another $1900 debt for something that wasn't our fault. We really hope Tiffin can fix this, so we can keep praising their company and their commitment to customer satisfaction for years to come. Note: I tried to find a solution that costs $150 and keeps the Tiffin looking beautiful, but it's impossible. Our family just wants a safe and beautiful Tiffin Wayfarer that we paid for. Thank you.
I bought a new Allegro Bus 45OPP in late March 2022 from a renowned dealership
I bought a new Allegro Bus 45OPP in late March 2022 from a dealership. Right away, I had lots of problems (over 50), some of which shouldn't have happened at the factory or La Mesa. For example, there was a huge water leak over the entryway that wasn't even bolted to the floor. So, I took it back to La Mesa in early May with a list of problems. They kept the Motorhome all summer until September. I stayed in touch with them every week, but all I got were excuses. They said they were waiting for warranty approval from Tiffin. When I found out they had only fixed less than 40% of the problems, I had no choice but to go get the Motorhome myself and drive over hundreds of miles round trip to the dealership. I had to spend a month there to get the rest of the issues fixed. Since then, some problems have come back and there are even new ones, so I'll have to make another trip to the dealership because I don't trust La Mesa anymore. While I was there, I talked to Mr. Tiffin, and he said Tiffin would extend my original warranty by 6 months, but I haven't gotten anything in writing. While I was at the dealership, everyone treated me with respect and courtesy. They were all friendly and helpful, but my time is valuable too. We really enjoy the Motorhome, but every time we take it out, something else goes wrong. For example, over the Christmas holidays, we were stuck for 2 weeks because the starter needed fixing. Right now, the dash lights keep going out while we're driving, the starter is acting up again, and there's an annoying squeak coming from behind the couch. To resolve this, I'm asking Tiffin Motorhomes to extend my original warranty by 6 months to cover the time when the Motorhome was unusable. I also want them to reimburse me for the trip to the dealership, including the month I spent there. They should also pay for the expenses of the next trip I'll have to make within the next month. Lastly, they should reimburse me for 2 wine holders that got broken when the couch, which was never anchored to the floor, tipped over and spilled both holders and wine with broken glass on the floor.
12/6 Invoice for $1,145.93 - Unauthorized charge during dispute resolution
12/6 Invoice for $1,145.93 - They charged my card without permission while I was waiting for the disputes to be resolved. Item #1 - The toilet was repaired under warranty, but they charged me this time. ($170.23) Item #3 - The generator exhaust was damaged by a falling water tank, and I was billed for the repair. ($12.50) Item #6 - The window shade, previously fixed thrice, was billed again. ($215.00) Item #8 - The problematic water selector switch was replaced after much hassle, yet leaked at Winfield. Despite promises, the leak persisted. ($325.64) On 3/17, I was informed no charge had been made for the December work. I highlighted the repair issues and instructed them not to charge the joint account with my late mother. On 3/24/22, they requested payment, ignoring my earlier instruction, and charged the card on 3/22/22. I discovered the bank billing and sought a refund. On April 1st, the issue was referred to Red Bay.
