I have been working with Dustin since August, with the promise of getting my timeshare resolved/ canceled. I have gotten letters showing something was delivered to the timeshare agency, Innseasons, however I received no responses. I finally received a call last week because an Attorney General complaint was filed and they want to settle for a partial fee. I want to consult with Dustin as he told me no more money would be needed. I can not reach him by phone, email, or text. Now in the 3rd week without any responses. I paid by check, so wondering if I just got scammed out of $2150 and now have to pay late fees to the resort too.
Apparently, you and I are in similar boats...You've gotten a little further than I did however...I searched for Dustin after 2 and a half weeks went by, and found the following:

Apparently Dustin passed of an Overdose on January 22nd, which coincides with the last time I heard anything from him. Sad really, and at the same time, very frustrating as I've got 2 timeshares he was working on for me, and the last batch of paper work he was to send out he apparently didn't have a chance to do before his untimely passing. I've bookmarked this page as I was looking for any new information as to whether or not someone else is working on his cases...sadly, I've not uncovered any such person.
Thank you for posting this information. We've been working with Dustin since last June and nothing had been done. The last time we spoke to Dustin was on 1/17/18. I believe he was a "one man show" because we have never spoken to anyone else in the company. Do you know if there is a procedure for getting our private files and money refunded? Thank you for your time.
I'll be honest, I've not had any success in contacting any affiliates or partners of his company. Yes, I agree, he was a one man show...the sole owner of Timeshare Release Now. However, on the BBB website, there is another name listed as the Owner/President of the company. Johnathan Phillips. Unfortunately, I've not been able to find any contact information for him either. I've contacted family members I found mourning him on Facebook, but did not want to be to forward so soon after his passing to ask for business information. I've already taken on an actual lawyer Locally to hopefully pick up where Dustin left off. I meet with him tomorrow. I've sent all my timeshare paperwork, including the paperwork Dustin had us fill out. I wish you the best of luck, and I'm happy to help in any way I can.
Also, I did try to reach out to Jason G., who posts in defense of Dustin and his company right here on these forums. I've yet to hear back from him either, but I suspect this is the legal representation he would have had all the paperwork drawn up through. I'll keep you posted.
Jonathan committed suicide as well...
I believe they both knew they were looking at a lot of jail time. The morning of their court date and died the same week.
Thank you so much Michael for responding. I have also been searching and saw the name Jonathan Phillips but no way of reaching him either.
We have copies of all the paperwork we sent to Dustin so our next step is to send the forms to the different agencies that he was supposed to send them to but we don't think he did as we never received any communication from them either. Please let us know how it goes with the attorney as we might consider that also. Do you mind me asking what state do you live in? Thanks again.
So, in speaking with the Attorney, He said that with regard to cancelling out of a timeshare, in situations of misrepresentation specifically (as in my case) the best thing to do is to look for an actual law firm specializing in Timeshare litigation, specifically in the state that the Timeshare adheres to. So, he gave me some contact information for a Law firm based in Nevada, as Diamond Resorts is based out of, and have to adhere to Nevada Law. Also, he says to make sure they are part of the NACA organization. (National Association of Consumer Advocacy.) This way you are certain they have the consumer's best interests in mind. Hopefully this helps, and good luck to you.
Michael, I have been duped by Dustin as well and in search of where to turn next. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you Michael, we will follow through with an attorney. Misrepresentation indeed! You've been most helpful. Good luck to you as well.
