Dear Sir/Madam

I am also a victum of TLG Lonas like 1000's of others. They took £ 199.99 from my account for no reason.
I have been told that my loan application has been approved so that they need admin fee to process my application before they sent it out.

I just can't beleive that how they doing this with no fear to 1000's of people who need help when they apply for loans not to be robbed off.

I am really very upset because its a lot of money for any employee who only survive on his wages.
I would like you to help me out with this regards and please help me to have my money back from these cheaters.

Many Thanks

Hi dear, I am suffering with the same problem. They just took £ 199.99 from my acount on 28th April 2009.
Somebody called me and i have been told that my loan has been approved so that they need Admin fee to process the application before they sent out documents to me.I never had any loan before so stupidly i gave them my card details.

I have sent mails to watch dog, fraudhelpline.org.uk.and many other departments.I can't beleive that why no is intersting in taking action against TLG Loans.

I could have live for about 2 weeks on this money.Don't know what to do now.

You are lucky mate. What bank you are with?I am with barclays but they don't takeit as a fraud but they will chase them up.It has caused me a lot of frustration and stress.I have complaint to OFT and they told me that they are taking acting action on my application. One of customer advisor feom consumer direct has informed me that it might take maximum 6 months to get your money back because they can not charge more then 5 pounds if they don't provide you with the required service.

Looking for positive response from OFT.lets see!

Hello everybody,

Friday was such a great day for me because my bank (barclays) has recovered my £ 199.99 from TLG Loans and credited into my account. It took exact 3 months to get this money back.I would suggest everybody to report this fraud to your bank and please do tell them that you have not given any authorisation for this payment.

Watchdog never replied but I belive that Govt. departments are involved by now.

Good luck everybody

i had a phone call about a loan and specifically asked if there would be a fee taken from my account before the loan was accepted, i was told no and that paper work would be sent to my address for a final view of figures and sign, which i have not recieved, !
i have seen the fee already debited from my account (i have kept the bank statement for proof) and contacted my bank immediatley, they advised me this is fraud and that i change my details.
i am absolutly appalled that i have been given false information and i WANT this re-payed in cheque form made to my address which i assume you already have on record.
if i havent recieved my cheque within 7 days i will be taking immediate legal action as you well know that this is fraud!

I to have been conned by TLG Loans, "no upfront fees". and there is no point trying to call them as they put you on hold for over an hour. They stole £49.99 from my account and I have raised a complaint with my bank (Abbey). As they have your card details Abbey said they can only try to recover the money and you have to contact TLG Loans. You will be running around in circles chassing these people. THIS IS A PROFFESSIONAL FRAUD OUTFIT. I am today contacting the financial ombudsman, The Police, Consumer Direct, The Home Office too.

ANYONE SHOULD ALSO TAKE THE SAME ACTION.

I SPOKE TO A LADY eventually ! SHE says that all refunds have to go through their head office address but she is not allowed to give that out ! SURPRISE SURPRISE!

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CARD DETAILS, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS SO THEY COULD PUT THE MONEY INTO MY ACCOUNT, WHEN ITS A COMPLETE FRAUD SCAM TO DRAIN YOUR ACCOUNT OF FUNDS!

my e-mail address is: mabevis55@hotmail.com

I think we all need to keep in touch about this, making sure TLG LOANS is in the subject line in the e-mail.

I have found that TLG have taken £99 from my account today. I have made a complaint to my bank and also to Watchdog. Thinking back I think I don't know why I gave them my bank details.

Does anyone have a number or contact address for this place.

I have checked my online banking today to find TLG Loans have taken £49.99 from my account. I have never even heard of them so I definately have not given permission for this money to be taken from my account. I am so pleased that I am not the only one that has been ripped off. I am not sure what to do next. I am going to phone the bank amd find out what I can do. If anyone has any advice then please email me at ellieshaw76@msn.com.
Thank you

I too have been conned! TLG, Carter & Carter, The Loan Supermarket are all the same company. When I spoke to Lee the Refund manager? he said I wouldnt get my money back until I sent him my bank statements. No way am I going to do that. He also told me that the people complaining are also applying for loans from other companies as well as TLG and they have records of it. I told him he has just opened the gates of hell with these complaints. First I reported TLG to the Police. The consumer protection and Trading Standards and now Watchdog. Lee said they deal with Black Horse and other lenders but after speaking to Black Horse they said they have never heard of them. Watch this space folks!

I too have also been conned by the b******ds. When i phoned up they said they are experiancing phone problems. and to call back another time.
They also kept on referring me to different numbers.
I think they put the phone down on you so you call back and then get charged once again like a f****n lemon.
I am so annoyed, i want my £149.99 back now. I have been charged for going over drawin because they have took money from my account with no permission.
Lik e everybody else they said, they just need to check that i am who i say am. and like a tosser i fell for it.

Hi folks its me again. This is for everyone who is trying to get their money back. FIRST. Stop your bank cards so they cannot take any more money. SECOND. Send your bank statement to them with everything else blacked out. Take a photo copy of statement. THIRD. write a letter to TLG demanding your money back. Take photo copies of everything. Send letter by recorded delivery so they cant deny having received it. Send copies of statements, letters to Trading Standards. If after six months you have not received your money back then the TS, Police etc., can act. This is the amount of time by LAW that these companies have, in which to refund your money. Lets hope this works. Good luck to everyone who has lost money to these ...!

i cant believe i've been had by this company, £49.99 was taken few days ago, even though i agreed for no money to be debited for two yet! i am astonished at the amount of complaints here about tlg! Do they really run from an office in Stockport? i live in Sale only a few miles away and would have no hesitation in causing some serious trouble on their doorsteps...anyone interested...the more the merrier. This has got to stop...i cant believe the amounts that people have been 'had' for! Hi There

3 days ago Tlg LOANS took 149.99 £ from my bank account. Actualy I dont know what police and the bank can do that, I think that police should trace them by there bank account, block it and give us the money back, i think that is not sow complicated with today technology to trace for some account. I was on my bank and they told me that they have to investigate, tomorow Im going on the police, but honestly I think that we wont get ouer money back, it is alot if we manage to stop ther frauds in the future.

I have also just been taken for a ride by these idiots and had £49.99 taken out of my account. The best plan is to write to the Financial Ombudsman and complain to them.Any complaints registered with the Ombudsman against a financial company are taken very seriously, and immediately cost the company being complained against £400, even if the Ombudsman finds in their favour, although that certainly won't be the case with these ###.If enough of you complain, we might not all get our money back, but for each of us that complain, it will cost them £400 and bring attention to them. The contact numbers for the Financial Ombudsman are as follows [protected] or [protected] (office hours). Please take this up with them as it probably our only option apart from getting an angry mob together.Hope this has been of help.Africanstu

While necessary, there is no amount of complaining that is going to either return your money, or stop the activity of these companies.

Think about this logically:
Loan origination fees are paid through the proceeds of the loan.
Even the most abusive - though legit - lenders do this.
So, you know upfront that you're dealing with a group that will flee before refunding any money.
Law enforcement can't go after every scammer - not realistic and the ultimate cost to everyone would be excessive.
So, there is a threshold of complaints that various enforcement agencies use. Most base it on the total monetary value of complaints, though they will also go after companies that target specific vulnerable groups - like the elderly.
These thresholds are understood by the scammers as well, so after they let the scam run for a while, they pack up and disappear - with your money.
Generally speaking, the participants are long gone before any investigation can start.
As long as people are gullible - there will people to gull them.

These Fu**kers did the same to me! Asked me to verify my card details just to confirm my identity. Once I did that I rang the bank to find out £49.99 was deducted from my account Straight away. I explained the situation to my bank and they are recalling the money back to my account. The money is now back in my account, the bank took 1 day to do this.

People ring your banks and explain the situation and they will call the money back into your accounts. Dont let these F**king B**tards get away with this. I told the guy I do not want any money deducted until I know when and how much so that i can make a decision.
The only stupid thing i did was give out my card detials - DEH! Not again, I have now learned my lesson.
OH - I have reported these people to Watch Dog - Got a story. Everyone should, the more people that reports this company the better..

Hiya all,
I recently applied for a loan online and recieved a call from a member of TLG. They said that I had been approved for a loan and that I would recieve my documents through the post and that I would be charged an admin fee od £49.99 which has already been debited from my account. I recieved the documents through the post with a slip I had to sign and send back to there office in stockpost chesire. I did this today but after reading the letter again I wondered if they where going to take further payments from my account. The letter read...

I take great pleasure in informing you that your loan application is approved in principal and would like to thank you for commissioning TLG Loans to arrange your credit agreement.
It then goes on to say that they charge between £49.99 and £199 to cover the necessary time to handle and process my loan application.
As I wanted to question if I was going to be given another admin charge I tryed to call the number on the letter where I had no answer so when I got home from work tonight I tryed to look them up on the internet. As they did not have a website I stumbled across this page where I am now very concerned as I spent my last £50 to afford this loan.
Is this the same process that has happened to anyone else? Has anyone actually recieved there loan from this company?

hi everyone i was conned i have rang numbers and spoken to 4 diffrent companys they got me while i just got in from work and was tired i never normally give out my bank details over the phone i think we need to set up a action group against this company or companys i propose to do this so if anyones intrested in joining up i would like to set 1 up and pass on all the people who have been conned like my self . A compliants form with your names to be sent to my member of parliment ALISON SEABECK with your permissions and we will demand action to be taken against these fruadlant companys. After all they need to be made a example off and stoped in their conning of inocent folks and unauthrised taking of peoples cash from their accounts. I propose that my mp needs to take the details of TLG and pass a new law that any company or anyone trading in a fruadlant way shall get the min jail sentance of 10 years and made to pay back money taken with a hefty compensation bill. this would send out the message to anyone or orginisation who even dares thinks about conning or causing fraud.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS MY EMAIL ADRESS IS : PLYMOUTHGUY32@hotmail.com lets teach TLG a big lesson united we will crush their fruad actions so come on people lets show them we mean bussiness in numbers .
