I couldn't agree more. Find pictures of lots of beautiful girls and then suddenly they in Nigeria and not Ukraine etc where they say they are from. They trying that ### with the 'my relative passed away, can you help claim the funds for me, I just need your ID etc'.

I don't think it is a scam (Trip Together), but it is based on a platform which makes it easy for scammers to try take advantage of innocent people.

It is a scammers paradise, they are all scammers from Africa, , I also have come a cross few from Bulgaria. I tried to put down no one from Africa in my profile but it doesn't allow me to do so, , I think the operators are behind all the scams themselves.

Totally a scammers paradise, and probably a waste of time. I still go on it from time to time just on the off chance that there really is someone who would like to travel with me! However it has long been recognized that anyone from Ghana, or north west Africa is a scammer and frankly anything from Ukraine etc is a waste of effort. Damn!

The girls will seem to be so interested in talking to you and very conversational. Calling you honey and dear, as if you were instant lovers and nothing would ever go wrong. If you mention email or anything, the conversation suddenly ends, and nobody will ever send you a message outside. They just make you feel like you would want to talk to them more, but how? PAY FOR CREDITS. Remember, it's a fake. These girls are actually hired or part of triptogether and they do this on a daily basis to EVERYONE. They make you feel that you would like to continue the conversation. NEVER PAY FOR IT. Real people will accept your email and contact you there.

Don't waste your money people!

I used this site a earlier this year to travel with a young lady I met online. I had a good experience and would recommend anyone to use it. Of course you need to take the time to find a good travel partner as I am sure nobody would want to be sitting with a boring person that you didn't take the time to get to know. I plan to use TripTogether again this winter when I travel again to Europe to spend New Years...as meeting cool people looking to get the most out of life are out there. Try it out and best of luck to you! It is not a bad website and you get a great service! I recently went on a trip to Poland and was able to find a travel partner to accompany me. Thanks to this site I now have a good friend and hope to travel there again. Being an Expat from USA in Europe has it's challenges so it is pretty cool to find someone interesting that plans to go to the same town you intend to visit. In my case it was to renew a visa. Was great that my travel partner Tanya spoke Polish as it made trip more fun while we were there. To suggest this site is a scam is not right and does not do it justice. I encourage you to try it if you like travel and meeting new people while you are at it. Good luck everyone!

Guys my travel buddy is not from Ghana nor Nigeria. If you are looking for someone from Africa I suppose you can just use a webcam to confirm she is black. I have been chatting with Oksana for a few months now and we are planning to hook up for spring break in Spain later next year. Scammers are on every website these days that involve communication. Just be careful and you will be ok. Trip Together is not an African company...that I know and neither is Oksana :)

I am a member of this site and I have not had any problems meeting nice people to chat with and discuss travel related stuff. I have met some new cool friends and some have even come to Budapest to meet up. I like the site only hope to find more foreigners interested in travelling abroad. Thanks TripTogether!

I just signed up for this site. So far so good. I would like to find someone to travel to the USA this summer for work and travel. I do not believe the site is a scam nor some fraud site. I have been chatting with some sincere folks that like travel and socializing.

The site is like "travel buddies". I like it as the girls are very nice looking and friendly. I have no problems with their site or service.

I was on this site now for two weeks and everyone I was writing to was suddenly from Ghana. Others who was from Ukraine or Spain didn't have a webcam even using Skype or yahoo. So I stopped immediately and I agree, most (of course not all) are scammers and as long as it's tolerated by the administration you should be careful on this site. I think all positive post's here are not from normal users of this site. Scammers are really everywhere but so much like here I never had before...

It is quite simple, the site, like most others, has scammers. But it is not too difficult to spot, if you have pretty and/or young girls contacting you immediately with a request to Skype or contact with them off site, it is not a good sign. Should you continue and you find out that they don't have a cam, or have a cam but no microphone because they have a business computer, then just leave. This is so you can't hear there accent because you will know they are not who they say there are, everything is typed, not spoken Red Flag! Several scammers use the same cute girl photos and it is the same woman on the cam, but someone else who is typing.

On the other hand I have had genuine conversations with people on the site who are pleasant and lots of fun, so my advice, be very careful, but you can find some interesting people there if you are sensible.

Does anyone have experience with the countless Chinese women on Triptogether? They all seem so eager to contact you, so nice to chat with, so beautiful and in many cases, quite horny. All of this is very suspicious, of course...

I had one tell me she grew up in Washington DC. Her written English was very stilted, just like a foreigner. I asked her what part of DC and she gave me the name of a town in Washington state - LOL. Then she asked me to call her and her phone was a number from Nigeria.

I agree with all the comments that this site is full of scammers. I was on this site for two or three weeks and everyone I was writing to was suddenly from Ghana or Nigeria. Others who were from Ukraine, Colombia or Spain didn't have an email address or webcam even using Skype or yahoo and what they were trying to do is to keep you paying for credits and chat with them there. Some of them when they communicate with you on emails they ask money from you to finish their study or project, some of them have multi - membership, so I stopped immediately and I agree, most (of course not all) are scammers and as long as it's tolerated by the administration you should be careful on this site. Hello! I can confirm that triptogether is a SCAM. I had same problem of many of you here. But, I change all my data and I upload a white picture with the word 'SCAM', I change my name by 'Scam', etc.. And I received many messages with: Hi Scam! I would like to travel with you! :)

Well..I am no scammer or I would not be on this board complaining. The whole idea of that site trip together I thought was good. Shame like any other site there is no way to verify the true identity of a person. Most of these sites are just out to make money! I wrote to the admin of the site but there was nothing much they could do to rectify things. It would be nice to find someone nice, good company to travel with. For the non scammers and non fakes on here, leave me a message if into meeting up for travels. I am going Bali in November and Europe in spring 2015. Lets meet up!

I agree with the majority, it's a big scam! I've talked to hundred different users and as soon as you ask them if they have any other sources to communicate, such as Facebook, email, Skype etc, they say NO. WHO nowadays doesn't have at least something like a Facebook account?! One girl claims she's from Ajax, Ontario, Canada, and I live in Toronto, Canada, so we chat for a while, she claims she's in love at first site, BUT as soon as I tell her where I live and that I can drive for 1 hour to meet her any day soon, she disappears! I can't guaranty

They are some triptogether ladies that are real, like "olesya Ovsuna" that have facebook... I created a fake female account and talk to her and she was very kind. I sent her an IM ask her if want a travel girlfriend, and she answered positively... and started to talk me about travels, and when ask her facebook, she gave it... With my real male account she wasn't same kind and sympathetic and limited to ignore my messages like other Ukrainians, is a vain ###... they must be real like other ukrainians that ignored me and reject me like travel friend although I'm good looking, young and interesting...

Olesya Ovsuna 29 years from Kharkov, manager, black hair and brown eyes, 167 cm height and 48 Kg weight... with my fake female account, she was very sympathetic and open to talk, and with my real male account, she ignored me... may she's lesbian, but I don't think it. Her facebook is "olesya ovsuna" and it proves that she's real... She is a stupid vain... that treated me bad like man and good like woman. She have profile in anastasiadate too.
