I went to Turkey Hill around 9:00 or 9:30 tonight (8/26/2020) and made a purchase and my change was supposed to be $.35 cents. The African American guy (had dreadlocks/braids) that was working, asked if it was ok that I didn't get my 35 cents back because there was no change. I said yes I mind, that's my change and I am due my change. He said the store is short on change and that he couldn't give me my change. I asked him why he didn't tell me that he couldn't make change before I purchased something, I would have gone somewhere else. Of course, he didn't answer that and just went on to say the store is out of change. I said to him, "so the customers have to take a loss? The store should have to take the loss for running out of change and not having enough on hand!" He actually said that "That's not the store policy"! Then he continued to yell across the store to another worker that "this guy wants his 35 cents!" He yelled this a few times as to make me look like I was the bad guy! If that's the store policy to make the customers take a loss for their mistakes and unprofessionalism, then I WILL go elsewhere for my purchases. It isn't the amount of change I was due back it was the way the cashier and the store handled this and it is not right! How many other people did he do this to? It adds up! Maybe you don't care about this either, but, sooner or later the people that say they aren't going to go in Turkey Hill any more will add up too!
