Quick Quack Car Wash - Damage to vehicle during wash

After being a member since 2015, I recently had a disappointing experience with Quick Quack Car Wash, and I feel compelled to share my story. I have removed my previous five-star review from all of their locations.

On 11/14/2023, just before 6:48 p.m. MST, I visited the Quick Quack Car Wash at 6020 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. I drive a factory-built 2023 Toyota Tundra Limited.

During the wash, the driver's side mirror cover was damaged, removed from my vehicle, and flung about in the wash. Despite my calm demeanor, the initial interaction with the staff left much to be desired. The lady at the gate seemed flustered and apologetic, handing me an incident report form.

Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, including multiple visits and calls, the customer service was abysmal. Emails to customer support yielded no results. Requests to speak with a manager went unanswered, and promises of callbacks were never fulfilled.

After weeks of frustration, I finally spoke with Michael Kinworthy, the store manager, on 11/20/23. He promised to review the incident and get back to me in a few days. Despite canceling my membership due to the lack of resolution, I continued my efforts to seek justice.

However, the situation only worsened. Emails requesting updates were met with requests for an incident report number, which the car wash failed to provide. Customer support proved to be utterly worthless, directing me back to the car wash for a report that seemed impossible to obtain.

Finally, on 12/12/2023, I met with Mike at the car wash for a walk-around and to file a new incident report (since the other one somehow got "misplaced"). Might I add that he completely forgot who I was originally or that he ever called me? With what I assume to be no prior or current adjuster or appraisal experience, he walked around the vehicle, taking notes and photos. He commented "This is nothing" and was dismissive of the damage done to my vehicle by his wash, or the apparent lack of liability.

Unfortunately, on 12/21, I received an email stating that everything was functioning correctly during the wash, offering a mere single free month of washes at $35 for the "inconvenience."

This response demonstrates a complete lack of consideration for the customer. The damage to my vehicle is estimated to be over $100, with estimates easily in the hundreds of dollars, and the dismissive attitude is appalling. I have attempted additional resolution or negotiation and settlement, and have allowed ample time to pass. Unfortunately, my experience of apparent lack of responsiveness seems to echo the sentiments of other dissatisfied customers I've seen in reviews.

It is disheartening to note that despite being the backbone of your business, patrons have experienced a complete disregard for their issues and a lack of proper resolution.

Moreover, upon perusing various review platforms, including the Better Business Bureau, it was alarming to find a series of disproportionately negative reviews that seemed consistent with the widespread reports of unprofessional behavior and inadequate responses to customer complaints. Reading accounts of individuals spending excessive time and effort in attempting to resolve damage and negligence without any meaningful progress is simply unacceptable and reflects legal liability and lack of customer service on the part of your establishment.

It is indeed unfortunate that such issues have marred the reputation of a service I once valued. I sincerely hope that Quick Quack will take proactive steps to restore the trust and confidence of customers like myself. I also implore others to avoid doing business with this company. I know already a few people who have canceled their memberships as a result of my experience.

Desired outcome: Full refund for damages
