I sent a UPS letter package from Tampa, Florida to an address in Chicago, Illinois on January 18, 2024, with an expected delivery date of January 29, 2024. The package contained documents that needed to arrive by January 31, 2024.
I was told by the recipient that the package did not arrive. I called UPS February 1, 2024, [protected] and spoke to A REPRESENTATIVE who stated that UPS does not deliver to the address in Chicago. I explained that the UPS store employee did not tell me that and of course I would not have any way of knowing that otherwise and I needed his help to get a refund and the package sent to me.
THE REPRESENTATIVE insisted that I call the store directly.
I called the store the same day 02/01/2024 and asked for the store manager. I was told that she had already left for the day although it was only 2 pm local time. I was told that there was no other manager available.
I called the local UPS store at [protected] again today January 5, 2024, and the phone rang until it disconnected. I called again and rang until it disconnected again. I called later the same day and asked to speak to the store manager. Whoever answered placed me on hold. I waited 20 minutes on hold, and nobody ever came to the phone.
Therefore, I called UPS [protected] and explained the entire situation to ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE only to have to explain it to ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE again who said I needed to call the tracking department and gave me the number that I just called to reach him. He was kind enough to help me get to the tracking department while I held the line.
I spoke to someone in the tracking department letting them know that the local store 2541 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida is not answering the phone and when they do they leave me on hold. When they called the store, they were able to get STORE MANAGER on the phone who could not seem to grasp the situation even though I explained it to her. She got mad because I was upset about the lost package, and she hung up on me.
Desired outcome: An apology from STORE MANAGER, a full refund for the package and to have it sent to me at my address here in Chicago.
