On Saturday November 4th. I went to the seafood department at Store #0147.
When I approached and was acknowledged by the the staff person there. I told him I wanted 5lbs of the snow crab legs that were on sale. He said something angrily to me which I didn't hear, but his facial expression let me know he was angry. I said excuse me, I didn't hear you? So he said angrily again give me a minute and I will be with you. He continued to do something and then he said angrily how can I help you? I said I would like 5 pounds of crab legs, (they are still on sale?), I asked, and he just pointed up to the sign hanging overhead. I said I'd be back because I had other shopping to do, I felt really uncomfortable. As I made my way back to the seafood counter, I could see the same staff talking loudly to a little old lady as she hurried away. There was another staff who seemed to be defending the lady to the angry staff. Needless to say I just grabbed my order and walked away.
I'm not sure of the dates of the other occasions when I felt I was treated rudely, but both times were with the deli department. I felt that my asking for help was a problem and they had an unfriendly reaction to me.
Because of these 3 experiences I have been avoiding shopping at Giant.
Desired outcome: Check that your employees understand about proper Customer service. I have never seen such a blatant disregard from staff to a customer. It was very disturbing to me.
